Topic: Generations of the Requiem - Roman Nights
Subject: Socilize it is then

Any legionnaire still in Castor & Pollux turned their heads when Deodatus spoke back to the centurion. But he only smiled. "You have a kind heart and nerves of steel, my friend," he said, "two precious and rare qualities in Rome. I was right to stop the fight before Rome lost a fine man such as yourself in nothing more than a brawl fight."

"I am Thascius Cornelius Germanicus, centurion of the Empire and leader of the Cornelius Squad. I will join the two of you in the drinking of wine, but only if you will accept my offer to do so in my current home."

There is nothing that I know of in the system that says that your clothes do not morph with you. I think it is safe to assume that you can morph your clothing with you.

If you prefer the Mystique approach, however, you can choose to make your persona appear in the uniform if you so choose. I think clothing is outside the trait thingy and you can choose what you wear.

I think so, at least.

I have edited the update. In case you somehow started wondering, a female could wear a male uniform and use the button to refit it.

The uniform has no mechanical benefits. It may be leather, but it is not armor. It is as helpful in battle as a t-shirt, perhaps even less so (the t-shirt can quickly be unworn and used as a tool of some kind, the uniform is not so easily unworn). Point is, no mechanical benefits or penalties, just clothing.

Someone made a big deal about updating the game few days ago (Monday or Thursday I think) because he was hooked, then doesn't post as soon after the update as I updated after the first posts. Odd

Either way, I assume some of you might have exams or schoolwork to finish and some might have Christmas shopping to get to. Rest assured that I won't be bothering you about posting until after Christmas day.

And since nobody has posted (yet) I am going to use the opportunity to do some minor editing to the last update.

I don't listen to bands, I listen to music. I don't really care who plays/sings the song as long as it is a good one.

That being said, there are some bands and musicians who have proven to produce several of my favorite songs:

Sálin Hans Jóns Míns (Icelandic)
Nightwish
Tarja Turunen (from Nightwish)
200.000 Naglbítar (Icelandic)
Black Ingvars
Enya
E.S. Posthumus
Yoshida Bros.
Laddi (Icelandic comedian)
Linkin Park
Rammstein
Joe Hisashi
Orange Range
Nobodyknows+
...and more...

I would have loved being a part of that card making, it looks really cool

Instead, I guess I'll have to wish you a merry christmas the old-fashioned way; by posting it in the forums.

Merry Christmas, old man. You know we all love ya

You have to have more information than that. Would you care to elaborate on the failed attempts to capture the subject by the Righteous Guard? What about some more details on how he was actually captured? And more importantly how he managed to escape? This guy is dangerous. We need to go out there as prepared as possible!

Angela listened intently to the question. The Righteous Guard was ill prepaired to deal with Mercury. Crusader is one of the team's strongest player, but his mechanical armor was easily cast aside by their opponent. Rapier is a skilled swordsman but Dark Mercury can easily disarm him. Velocity is fast but a car was put in her way. Madam Mystic isn't much of a firepower, White Diamond has telekinetic powers but not as powerful as Dark Mercury's manipulation of metals. Gibson Hall is weak against superior numbers, but if there are only two or three his power is too great to handle.

She looked over the group before continuing. There several reasons why you can defeat Dark Mercury where the Righteous Guard could not. Your powers do not require metal and you have by far superior numbers.

Just then, Copycat made her way to the bathroom. When she returned, another question came with her. Do you have any recordings of Gibson's voice?

Unfortunately, no,
was the answer she recieved. Dark Mercury was arrested by a hero calling himself Magni, son of Thor. When Mercury woke up, he burst out of jail thanks to the idiots who put him in a metal cage. We have the right equipment to prison him properly.

Just as the last words left her lips, the elevator to the penthouse opened up. Two bulky men, carrying a modern chest of alluminum, walked into the living room. They might have looked tough to some of you, but the others had probably taken down bigger opponents. Just put this down anywhere, Angela said and the two men did exactly that before leaving the very same way as they came in.

Members of the team Delta Six, she said, in this chest are your new uniforms. Now get dressed and get downstairs. A vehicle will be waiting for you to get you to your destination. Gibson Hall was seen in the Metro City Bank where he has taken several hostiges. You are going there now to take care of the problem.
Angela then left the penthouse. The uniforms were black leather with a red triangle pointing down at the center. The boots and gloves were black, and on the left chest stood the letters D-VI in black over red. There were male and female uniforms, and a short manual of use. Pressing on a button on the belt made the uniform fit perfectly no matter who wore it.

Oscar watched with horror in his eyes and a smile on his face as Stuart shot Simon in the head. No hesitation. Stuart could become a problem.

With the lift on the way, Oscar found himself a comfortable seat next to another Red. In a short time, the lift stopped at subsector 21 where the team made their way out.

A suggestion about splitting up came from Jen. "Agreed," Oscar said, "we would cover much more ground. We should meet back here at a predetermined time. Say, an hour, perhaps?"

The file doesn't say much about the circumstances. It says who the victims were, such as murder of Thomas Quilt or injury to Brian Jones, and maybe what kind of injury he inflicted, like broken leg, fractured skull or damage to spinal cord, but that's pretty much all the file says about his actions. It does say when and occasionally where, but it doesn't say why or how.

The rest is just information about physical appearance, known description of power (telekinetic manipulation of metal and transformation of skin into metal), and known activities of the last three years (not much is known before he got here).
He has escaped from being captured on several occasions, including capture attempts by the Righeous Guard. He is known to have been captured once and escaped from captivity before being transferred to Alcatraz II.
He is known to have lived in several locations within the city limits and in dozens of locations outside these limits, in the past three years. He is not known to have any living relatives.

Aside from that, there's not much of interest in the file.

Don't have a cat, so I don't know. It's not really a reason, more of a question really.

But answer me this: Is your character a person who likes cats, or a cat trapped in a person?

I somehow understood your character as the former, not the latter.

Bit of a rushed intro, I know. Thought I might just get this game started.

Update in one week if I won't have everybody's intro posts by then.

If you do not see yourself among the list of players that is either because you haven't sent in a character or because the character you sent in needs more work. When your character is ready and accepted, you'll be added into the mix of heroes... err, players.

But, any questions?

You all remember how you got there. You were all cantacted by the same person, recruited by an unknown organization. They told you they would give you a purpose, but during the week you've spent there you felt more like prisoners. They gave you everything you needed, but they didn't want you to leave.

The person that recruited you now stood in front of you, inside the living-room. The person stood there in a nice suit, with blonde hair down to her back and had a black-rimmed glasses on her pretty face. She held a file in her hands and waitied for you to have a seat. You knew her by the name of Angela Ross.

I'm sorry if we have made you uncomfortable, she said, but we had to make sure you would be here for what I am about to show you.
She handed you the file for you to view and read. It was a file about a man named Gibson Hall. It had many informations about him, such as height, weight, age and so on.
You all remember a hero named Mercury? she said. You might remember his death five years ago, and his so called resurrection three years ago. In truth he was not braught back from the dead; a version of him from another world came into ours. Dark Mercury is what they call this alternate version, less known as Gibson Hall.
The photo of the guy in the file she gave you looked pretty normal. Short, dark hair, brown eyes, pale skin. The list of his known powers and deeds were not so easy on the eye. The ability to manipulate and to transform his skin into metal, robberies, injuries to others, murder.
This guy is your first assignment. We want you to neutralize him and bring him in for containment. Any questions?

Thank you for noticing this post. Your notice has been noticed.
Brought to you by Metro City.

-----------------------

In all seriousness though, I'm going to make an opening post for the first of the Supreme Series either late tonight or sometime tomorrow.

Anyone who has not sent me an acceptable character by then will have to do so before posting. If there are any major changes you'd like me to make to the setting or the game, or anything majorly you'd like me to add, you'll have until I make an opening post to let me know. After that I will only be making minor changes.
