No volunteres to proof read my WoD setting? It's mostly for spelling and grammar purposes.

...also, bump.

Subject: WoD Space Opera

I just finished writing the first draft for my WoD Space Opera setting, put it into InDesign and exported to PDF. It's something I've been dabbling in for the last few days, since I did my Space Opera character sheets for WoD.

It is not a complete setting, so I have no intention of doing a very detailed job (because I like adding to it while Storytelling), but it has been suggested that I should get someone to proof read it for me before I upload the thing to the internets.

Anyone willing to voluntier? I'm in no actual hurry to get this done, so there is no hurry. I also think that my English is decent enough (spelling check helps), but after writing for a few hours my mind becomes rather sluggish.

There's also a surprise near the end of the rainbow that I made for my darling Innmates

Finally had another session last night, so the website has been updated.

There's also more material in the Resources area, since I finished all the Character Sheets for the WoD Space Opera setting I've been slowly working on, and added an NPC sheet for L5R.

Hope you like

Thanks guys

I've also added some downloadable material to the site, both for L5R and WoD. Let me know what you think

My personal favorite is Mutants & Masterminds. It is a point based system so characters tend to be more balanced (although I have never really tested that theory). The initial setting is modern heroics, but the system can easily be adapted to any sort of setting.

I'd personally recommend 2nd edition, although 3rd edition is more streamlined. 2nd edition has more sourcebooks, including a fantasy setting and Manga/Anime setting.

My other favorite is WoD, but it is rather limited setting-wise, I think.

Your yard is now completly fenced in. Nothing can get in or out, ever again.

I wish I had my house keys so that I could leave the house and go out into that lovely weather.

!!!SPAM!!!

My RL gaming group now has a website! It is made by my girlfriend and she is still smoothing out the rough edges (such as link to the forum and link to contact her), but I still think it is pretty cool to have a website dedicated to our campaign

Anyways, since I just finished updating the site with all the information relating to our campaign, and added my home-made GM Screen, I wanted to spamvertize it a little. Also because I intend to add more material made by yours truly.

I might be misspelling that, but the poem is mostly nonsense anyway.

Happy birthday Eol. Hope you have a good one

You are now a cartoon! However, since you are now a cartoon and no longer a person, everything you do is controlled by writers and artists and corporate management. You no longer have any free will to do what you personally want.

I wish for chocolate.

I am sorry, but due to some RL gaming, and other stuff, I think I will have to put this on hold for the unforeseen future. My group is looking for a new spot to role-play because the place we've been using is too expensive after another group ditched us for the bill.

I'm also aiming to GM a few games at the UK Games Expo in Birmingham that'll be in June, so I need to get that ready if I am going to go through with it.

And finally, if I don't find a job pretty soon, I might have to move back to Iceland and get a job there.

So I am a little stressed. I won't lie, I probably have the time to plan for PbP game, but I am a little too stressed for it right now. I am very sorry about this :-/

Sorry for my absence, I've had things for a RL game that I've been busy planning for. I've had to prepare a lot of NPCs for a big social adventure and stuff.

Anyway, I think we have 3 characters ready so I should put them into the Q/A thread soon.

Also, good rundown, Ayrn, but I would like to remind you to keep to the Power Level Limit. Also, if your character focuses on either melee or ranged attacks, you can save a lot of points by buying the Attack Focus Feat or the Attack Specialization Feat if you want to focus on a very specific attack. A lot of players don't think about them and end up having too low Attack Bonuses.

Also try to keep your defenses from being too low. Wouldn't like you to be knocked out at the first sign of trouble

Feel free to make a character and send him/her in for inspection

Also, in case you haven't noticed yet, we have a Q/A thread up and running.

EDIT: I'm afraid Ayrn has an Elemental Powerhouse character pretty much ready, but I've yet to hear from him again about suggestions I made.

Pendragon Academy has a rich history. Established and headmastered by Edward Pendragon, son of King Arthur Pendragon, in Camelot City, Pendragon Academy has done its part in educating the young minds to rise to the occasion of becoming something even greater than the norm. Although their tagline is "School for Tomorrow's Heroes", Pendragon Academy is not just for the super-humanly abled, but aims to create heroes out of everybody for every field, from doctors to firemen to prime role-models.

Pendragon Academy does not only pride itself with rich and unique curriculum, but also with engaging club activities. Various clubs, such as the chess club, the book club, the many sports clubs, and the heroes' club, create unforgettable pastimes for students outside schooltime. Pendragon Academy prides itself with having a strong swimming team, one of Britain's strongest high-school football team, and a wrestling team in a league of their own. When the school will be allowed to compete in any of these events, Pendragon Academy will surely pride itself with many trophies from these events.

So why not sign up for Pendragon Academy today? You could be one of tomorrow's heroes!

Pendragon Academy is the only known school in the United Kingdom that can handle the powers of a young supreme (a super-human being or someone with super-human powers). Other schools are simply not built to handle everything a supreme could do, accidentally or otherwise, and Pendragon has many classes that you simply won't find elsewhere in Britain, such as Super-Weapon Designs or Transdimensional Studies. Better yet, Pendragon Academy is located on the outskirts of Camelot City, Britain's super-hero city.

Most of the students are young supremes themselves. Many of them are the children of the world's heroes, although a rare few are extra-terrestrial or -dimensional visitors, or technically not children at all since they're technically not alive.

The Heroes' Club is possibly the most popular club in school, but it is also the most difficult to get into. They hold tryouts every year. Some make the cut, but most of them won't. You are the rare few who made the cut this year, beating the near dangerous tests and winning against surprising odds.

The Club is supervised by a retired heroine, Mrs. Palmers, aka Crow. You are not alone in the Club, as there are others who've joined in the previous years. Henry Stuart, aka Jolt, club president; Brianna Walters, aka War Princess, daughter of two notable heroes in the city; Elena Starlight, aka Elfshot; and Magnus Milton, aka Mindmatter.

Normally, the Heroes' Club does training and minor assignments. When a number of students start disappearing, you just got your first assignment.

This is the Q/A thread for Tomorrow's Heroes, a game of Mutants & Masterminds. If you are interested in joining, either check out the recruitment thread or PM me. If you are interested in lurking around, the gaming thread will hopefully be up shortly

As for you players, I would like to establish some house-rules and remind you of some other rules.

-First of all, you can choose whether you deal non-lethal or lethal damage. I would like to remind you though, that you are students and the use of lethal force is normally prohibited by rules of the Club.

-Because some of you have characters more prone to lethal force than others (not naming anyone in specific), I will be using Villain Points (an optional rule found in Mastermind's Manual). Essentially, you can earn as many Villain Points as half your Power Level before your character officially becomes a villain. You can reduce your Villain Points by performing a heroic enough act (but you won't be rewarded with Hero Point instead). You can "spend" your Villain Points just like Hero Points, but you will immediately gain another Villain Point and the "spent" point won't disappear. You only get a Villain Point for completing an act that I deem villainous. Attempting is not always enough, you must actually succeed.

-Aside from character creation and when you spend XP, I won't bother too much about PL limit. If you somehow grab the villain's death ray that has damage bonus of +20, your PL won't lower it.

-Extraordinary Effort is in effect. This allows you, once per adventure, to multiply the effects of Extra Effort and spend multiple Hero Points on a single action. You can use up to three times the effect of Extra Effort and spend all the Hero Points you have left, but the Hero Points can not be spent to offset the fatigue from the Extra Efforts. Still, the benefits stack, but so do the penalties.

Other than that, I might bring other optional rules without much notice, but they will mostly affect me or NPCs. You are also allowed to suggest optional rules if you find something you like.

Finally, all questions should be posted here. Avoid PMing them to me unless you absolutely don't want your fellow players to know about them.

I will keep a list of characters, their current state, and their Hero Points and Power Points, here below.

Topic: Reavers in D&D?
Subject: hmm

I am not certain since I have not done a detailed comparison, but I believe D&D and Star Wars Saga Edition are reasonably compatible. SWSE is somewhere between 3.5 and 4th edition, I think. So if you have the Saga Edition book, and notably the Legacy Era sourcebook, that could help you out a lot.

Their stats can be found in the Species chapter in the Legacy Era book (I'm not sure if I can post them here).

They also have their own Prestige Class called Shaper, new Talent Tree (which you can treat as Feats in D&D I think), and there are some new Biotech Feats which fits them better than others.

They also come with biotech (basically, living machines and tools), and the Amphistaff can be found on page 121 in the Saga Edition core book.

Subject: Vikings of Thule

For some reason I wanted to share this trailer for a Facebook game called Vikings of Thule. It is developed by Gogogic, which is an Icelandic company. It is different from many other Facebook games because you actually have to think strategically when battling other players, instead of just pressing one button and have a random chance of succeeding.

The song in this trailer is in Icelandic, and it is sung rather slowly. So if you are interested in Scandinavian languages, this might entertain you.

Since he didn't post his character concept here, Shield Wolf is considering a ninja type teleporter character. Just something for the rest of you to consider.

This group might be in need of a powerhouse, so an Earth-type Elementalist might be a good idea. On the other hand, a super-genius is a good concept as well

Normally, you can't. On the other hand, you might ask your DM if he/she is willing to allow it as a houserule (in which case I'd say you'd need to give something up extra). Really, it is up to your DM but it is not allowed in the RAW.

Still only received one character concept so far. Should I assume that this game only has a single player? I think not!

Seriously though, guys. If you want to play, I need to know you have at least an idea of what your character is going to be like. I don't really care if you change it later on before play actually begins.
