"This ain't the time for sweet talking, Ara," Mars said as he raised his slugthrower, "just make sure they don't hurt our client, and I'll make sure this won't be taking too long."

Subject: Entrance

As the group's Twi'lek turned down an offer to dance on stage, Mars scanned the surroundings. The Empire's presence on the station made him nervous, and he wanted to make sure that he would notice if some stormtroopers would barge in.

"It was good flying with you, Falon," Mars said as their ways parted. "I won't be forgetting your offer." Mars was always in the look out for a job, and working on the Asperity had the bonus of Mars being on the move. He was not sure if the Empire was still after him or not, but he'd rather not find out the hard way.

It was about then he noticed the two suspecting figures.

"See them?" he said to his travelling partners. Ara'ala makes note of their comsets.

Imperial spies? Perhaps hunting for Mandalorians. Perhaps hunting for Jedis. Perhaps after the Asperity. Either way, they seemed interested in Mars and his fellow crewmembers. Not a good sign.

Worse yet, just then a woman came running towards him. She was obviously injured, and she didn't pay much attention to Ithiria or Ara'ala at first.

"Please, help me," she called out to them. And as if that was not bad enough, some stormtroopers came around the corner after her. "Step away from that woman," one of them said. "She is under arrest in the name of the Emperor!" The woman looked at the crew with desperate eyes, "Please! I can pay, I promise. Please trust me!"

Mars looked from the woman and at the stormtroopers. There were too many people around, two looking at them specifically, and Mars didn't have his helmet on since it got ruined after he crashed the Dragoon IV. He tightened his grip on his slugthrower.

"Lady," he said, "get behind us." He quickly assembled his weapon and fired at the nearest trooper.

[OOC: Move action to assemble weapon (assuming it is drawn; otherwise drawing and assembling), then standard action to fire at the nearest stormtrooper.]

I'm wondering if I am ahead of you. As I'm posting this, it's 6:20 on a Tuesday morning. I would have thought you'd say "tomorrow" and not "Wednesday", so it got me thinking.

But yeah, it's early, I'm tired, and so I ramble aimlessly.

The officer looked at the droid in a bit of surprise and awe. He never would have thought a droid would be the first one to answer his inspection.

"Yes," he then said, "just a routine inspection. Take them all to a holding cell and take the droid to be... dismantled. You three start searching the ship. I want every corner searched and every panel opened. Make sure there is nothing hidden in there. I want to be notified as soon as you find anything suspicious."

His first orders were pointed at the four on his left, and his latter orders were meant for the three on his right. Including the officer, there were no more than eight Republic soldiers in the landing bay.

He doesn't have eyes that you know of

This is just a small announcement that I will be changing the dates for the following updates. This game will either update on Thursdays or Fridays during the summer because of my working hours. Every other week I'm working Friday and the other I'm working Thursday, so every other week I won't be able to update on a Friday. Next week will be a Friday update, but the week after that will be a Thursday update, then Friday and so on. I will remind you of this next Friday.

The maps will be up soon, and I will hopefully get the Map overview post up and runnind soon.

EDIT: I'm having some internet problems and uploading the maps to photobucket fails at every attempt. I'm going to phone the internet company and ask if there is something that hasn't been done with my internet because I only recently changed companies and I didn't have this problem before. Anyways, the maps may not be up until later tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Subject: no update

There is be no update today since the only post that is up leaves me nothing to update for. Again, fewer posts than I expected.

Anyway, there will be no update today. Depending on whether there will be any more posts then, I will update tomorrow instead.

There will also be no update for the coming Wednesday due to the fact that I'm starting work then. So, next update after tomorrow will be next Sunday after a week.

In fact, I'm slowing the game down to one update per week for the summer, because of my working hours. The game will update either Sundays or Mondays from now until September. Note it in your logs. In September, the game will speed up again to two posts per week.

Subject: Update

I've updated, as you might see. I took some liberate assumptions and applied them to your actions. If you are really against them, just let me know and I'll make some changes. The one that I'm talking specifically about is Germyn's running up to the guard. Judging from Mephistopholes' post, it appeared to me that Germyn was going the other way, but knowing about the open door behind him, I assumed he would go that way to attack the guard. Since this is the first round of the first battle, I'll allow some subtle changes to your action (like Germyn not running all the way up to the guard but stopping some feet away, and such) or if you want to correct my liberate assumptions.

I've also rolled for Initiative, and the order is as follows:
#1 David Pil
#2 Kaylena
#3 Germyn
#4 Guard 1 (the one you saw first)
#5 Guard 2 (the one you saw second)

The maps will come later, perhaps not until tomorrow. Things should be better explained then.

Also, David's third attack botched, so he string losened. Nothing's ruined, you just need to take a move action to tie the string again.

If you have any questions, as I'm sure you do, just ask them.

BLUE

David quickly releases three arrows upon the prison guard. The first arrow strikes the guard in between his plates of armor and draws blood. The second arrow is not as accurate and strikes one of the bars. The third attack is evel less successful as that, because as David lets the final arrow fly the string of his bow losens and the hardly takes flight. The bow had not been used in such a long time, the string was not tightened enough to manage the three shots.

Kaylena makes her way out of the room and to the hallway. A light from a nearby torch stings her eyes, but with her abilities she dampens the light. She quickly gazes around, and several feet away she sees another prison guard.

Just as Kaylena notices the other guard, Germyn dashes past her, turns the other way and runs to the guard which they had originally seen. He just manages to run up to the guard, when the pile of armor quickly turns around and swings his sword at the werewolf. The sword cuts the wolf-man, and the guard swings again, again cutting Germyn's skin. Things could have been worse, however, and Germyn's supernatural state warded him from most of the guard's cutting power.

The other guard seems to have reacted to the noice from the battle, as he turns facing Kaylena. The guard starts running towards where Kaylena is standing, and stops right next to her, as if he could see her.

Although it proves to be a bit difficult and awkward, Miliani manages to take few steps back to charge the door. The charge hits the door from a awkward angle, and instead of breaking up, the door remains still and locked. Katsumi attempts to force the door open, using her tetsubo as a sort of a crowbar. The door, however, will not budge.

"You there," Nikulas says, "woman with the club. Keep trying to force the door open, like you did, and I will try to push it from this side. Perhaps we can combine our strength and open it."

Despite the combined effort, however, the door will not budge. "Perhaps," Nikulas says, "if you could somehow pick the lock."

Topic: Redemption of Hell
Subject: yay me

As they started reading up the names of the graduates, Jon-Jon felt a certain sense of pride building up inside. The training had been tough, with several accidents and even few deaths as well. Jon-Jon had known many good people who did not make it to graduation, most of which had only dropped out but sadly few who never got to leave the training grounds on their own two (occasionally more) feet. But he had made it to graduation. There were times when he was about to break, but there was always something, or someone, that got him back on his feet. He was proud of what he had accomplished, and he was glad that he would be working with people who had managed the same thing and more.

His name was suddenly called up and woke him from his thoughts. He walked to the Major and shook his hand. He did not even think much about what the Major was saying to him, but when he got back to his seat it all sank in. 1st Special Operations; Hell Jumpers.

More names were called up, and more were assigned to the Hell Jumpers. Former recruits, now privates, Teldan, Foon, Osaka, and Dara. All good people, ones he was glad to have by his side if things would get tough.

When the parade was over, Adol Dara came to Jon-Jon with a question. "Private First Class - what does that mean?" she had asked him. Jon-Jon wasn't really sure how to answer the question. After all, he was a doctor and not really knowledgable about military ranks.

"I guess," he said, "it means you are higher ranked than the rest of us. Congratulations."

After the team got on board the orbital jumper and arrived to what appeared to be their home, Jon-Jon could hardly believe what he saw. The place was mostly covered in trees and growth, and if he had understood the droid correctly, they were supposed to clear it until the technical crew got there.

I expect there will be some downtime between each chapter, and you'll most likely get few days during hyperjumps. If there is any considerable downtime, I'll let you know, so few days won't pass you by unless there is nothing you've might have done during that time.

I noticed Brianna's post about breaking up the bars on the cell door. I guess it is hard to notice on the maps, but the bars only cover a small window. You probably could remove the bars, and a thin person might be able to squize through, but that guy inside is too big to fit through there.

My bad for not telling you sooner, so I'm going to wait for your reply before I update. You can either edit your post or leave it as is, but I want to know what you decide, so post here or PM me when you have decided.

I think you're expecting a bit too much of me by asking about that.

I afraid I can't give you a timeframe for each item, but I expect it could take few days up to weeks to finish all of it. That is assuming 8 working hours per day. Any more and you'll be missing a whole lot out of the adventuring.

Hate to be the one to burst your bubble but there is only so much I will allow after the deadline I gave you for posting things that took place during the downtime.

Free actions I don't mind so much, so the rest of the group knows how to deactivate the droids (via grapple and deactivation thingy), but the whole dismantling and upgrading of stuff will not have been done during your 10 days downtime in hyperspace.

I gave you a deadline of Wednesday (yesterday) to post anything you wanted done during the downtime. I also warned you that I would not allow later planned events to have taken place during that downtime. These plans of yours, although I have allowed them, will not have taken place during the hyperjump.

You will need to make these upgrades and tinkerings later in the game. Sorry.

And don't say I'm not kind.

Might want to deal with the current situation first, before starting to work on something. Just saying it would be odd if you'd be putting together weapons while the military is searching the ship

Mandalorian has the following stuff:

Mandalorian combat suit with targeting scope, jetpack, and knife-gauntlet upgrades (the jetpack is ruined, though, and not usable for anything but parts);
heavy blaster pistol;
mace;
combat gloves;
and a fieldkit with medpac

-

The combat droid had the following stuff:

Systems:
basic processor (ruined);
walking locomotion;
3 tool mounts;
2 clawed appendages.

Possessions:
2 blaster rifles;
flamethrower (built into the droid and not usable by others unless new casing and trigger were built);
duranium plating (the droid's case);
shield generator (needs to be recharged).

-

Additionally, the following loot came from the other Mandalorian and the other droid:
heavy blaster pistol;
2 blaster rifles;
mace;
combat gloves;
and a fieldkit with medpac

-

The corpse would have been ejected from the ship after you got out of hyperspace, so it is probably orbitin Ord Mantell right about now
Enjoy!

I've deleted and reposted your arrival to Ord Mantell. I will need to know if you're looking for anything else in the droid or on the Mandalorian other than the normal loot or the turn off button. I will add a loot list before the next update and include anything you might find (assuming you're looking for something more).
