I am actually very happy with my ranger. He isn't perfect, but is about what I had in mind.

I have played a fair amount of D&D, but discovered as I was doing this that all of my books are from the first edition - I have never actually played the second edition before. It is actually a very different game. But I have to admit, at least as far as rangers are concerned, I think it is a better game. My ranger, Oriel Blackmoon, will probably frequently play the role of an archer.

Our party should have plenty of thieves for the good guy rangers an paladins to keep their eyes on!
