My mind supplied sleeves for the mental image I had for a 'cloak'.

It is a hooded robe then. Whatever.

Her armour; not her cloak. She hides the daggers specifically in the sleeves of her cloak.

Also, it's not half-moon, it's crescent moon; they aren't the same

Subject: Jevaf Goerh

Jevaf wears relatively form fitting leather armour, tinted a purple shade by unknown means, and also wears a purple cloak which she often wears with the hood up, keeping her face in shadow with only her long, silvery hair flowing out from it. Her yellow eyes pierce the places she gazes to, and appear cold to any who look into them. The sheathe at her side holds a long, slender rapier, while upon her back lies a bow and quiver. However, even if she puts these aside, she is still armed. Her two other weapons lie hidden within her sleeves: two elegant yet deadly daggers, seemingly carved out of the metal rather than smelted into shape. The blade and handle curves, forming a crescent moon shape, while the guard is a second crescent moon overlaying the other. Jevaf's clothing is plain, with no true identifying marks, yet on the middle finger of her right hand is a golden signet ring bearing the emblem of a dagger made out of the very air itself. She carries another ring as well, however this one is not as ornate, worn on the index finger of the left hand, and only appearing as a metal band with an engraved pattern that, when examined, appears to weave about the band endlessly.

(the 'j' is pronounced more like a 'y' in her name)

Ocyari pouts slightly as Miran makes her stop her fun, but her ears perk up (if they could) when the big man mentions stealth.

"Stealth? That's like hide and seek right? Well, the hiding part anyway..." Ocyari pips up before trailing off.

She remembers just the other day, when the small group of children that included her decided to play hide and seek. Needless to say, they weren't able to find her as she was skillfully hidden in a dark corner under the kitchen sink, playing and whispering with the spider that had taken up residence there.

She looks at the others, "I can do that." Ocyari says simply.

Subject: Protocol-type medical droids? Pif, Astro's are better

Kate quickly comes to a halt. Quilla seems to have taken considerable damage, so that had best be healed ASAP. Going against her first course of action, Kate treads right back and up to Quilla as quickly as she can.

(Provided Kate has the time needed for this)

Running medical treatment v1.3 program. Kate's output spool shows for a brief second before a large number of calculations and figures replaces it. From one of her frontal compartments, a rather unique arm appears. Unlike ones manufactured by KTI or other droid companies, this one appears to be nearly made from scratch, but also with joints that allow a flexibility beyond even that of a medical type droid. At the end of the arm is a cylindrical type object with a soft cloth pad at the end of it, and parts within it can barely be heard as they rotate and assemble. After this stops, Kate quickly, but gently, presses the end of the cylinder against Quilla's body. Barely anything can be felt, from the cylinder at any rate, but as the selected components of medical compounds flow through Quilla's body, Quilla does feel strengthened by them. (Hopefully)

((Treat Injury vs DC 15, if successful heals 7 points))

Afterwards, the arm slides back into the compartment from which it came.

Subject: Defensive Actions Advised

Kate quickly assesses the situation, then modifies the simulation of what she had previously thought out. Clearly time couldn't be wasted, and so while she assesses the situation, Kate also opens the hangar doors right then rather than wait for later.

After opening the door, or finding out this port doesn't have access to the door, Kate disconnects from the computer port at the same time as reading her new simulation.

Primary objective will be to get to the ship within the time alloted; however, without means to communicate to the organics, there is a high probability they will remain to try to take a stand rather than advance. Kate reasons, Insufficient data regarding the opposing droids. Best course of action would be to move out; discovery is imminent regardless of advancing or falling back.

(Assuming the port by the door is the one to open it and not the one Kate is currently at)

Opening the bay doors is priority one; the action of doing so will likely spur the organics toward the best course of action.

Kate exits the 'closet' and heads to the next port as fast as her little treads can go, using what cover is available. Illogical? No. The rash action has a high probability of getting the desired results. Once again, the best and worst case scenarios have been analyzed, the probability of the desired result assessed, and in any rate it would mean Kate wouldn't be cornered in the 'closet', where she wouldn't be able to do as much.

Sen searches through the bag, from the prettiest to the least ornate gem, and finds their truth. Not one of them appears black to her eye. That's good. Sen thinks, relieved, At least I can be sure of these, if I can't be sure of anything else.

Sen closes her eye, then mentally ends the spell. Opening her eyes, she takes the bag, and then puts it back in her own. She flies above the city and waits, the three stones she were to use in hand: one to see the proceedings clearly, when she hides away from its view, one to initiate the stasis, and one to teleport.

But what if they don't hang him? Sen suddenly thinks, Hmm, I wouldn't be surprised if they did something else; we're not all that informed about what path they will take.

Sen grits her teeth, an uncommon notion for a Sylph, Well, in that case, I will have to improvise.

As the party makes their way to the Heart of Darkness, with the ever increasingly formidable atmosphere, Ocyari begins to glance back and forth at a faster and faster speed, her eyes looking to pierce the shadows and the darkness. It isn't out of fear, for Ocyari seems to actually be excited. She never really got to stay up this late, and she never got to wander the city before, so this was a truly new experience for her.

"Not that pretty here is it?" Ocyari murmurs to herself.

The shadows flicker with the flickering lantern light, and Ocyari watches them, slightly mesmerized by the sight. Then an idea strikes her, and she holds out her hand, beginning to make shadow puppets. She giggles at her efforts, producing a bunny among a number of other things.

Things at this point look rather grim for the group. Recalling with remarkable clarity the fate of the guard just before who was felled by a similar attack, and Okron before that, things had to be brought to an end fast.

Viis continues playing, hoping for the best situation to come, all the while hopefully aiding his companions.

Charlet, taking no chances, quickly casts a displacement spell, causing Sable's form to appear elsewhere.

It is Ignis, however, that rather than improving Sable's defence, continues her offencive. "Magic Missile" She calls as she unleashes another three shimmering bolts of force. However, only the first would be needed, as it tears through the Linsemptus Scout's head, with the rest of the Scout's body dissolving into mist.

I'm thinking of doing a major update where everyone comes into Wanqir at the same time, and also realizing PC to PC interactions (finally!).

However, for that to happen, I'll need Hammer to do something, or do you think I should go ahead and just take over his character temporarily to get him to Wanqir, or drop him?

Also, for Wyrmsting, unfortunately I won't have an update for you until later, as you're not going to run into anything for a while (until the group is formed and so forth).

Well then... good luck!

Hylon City

22 minutes after Twilight

Barrahen shakes his head sadly, "Unfortunately, the only portal the High Wizards consistently maintain is between Girhn and Wanqir, as travel through the mountains is quite inconvenient for their merchants."

"Be as strong as the light, and be swift to break the darkness." Barrahen says in farewell.

Within moments, the trio are mounted and ride forth for Wanqir, their mission firmly in mind... or something to talk (and perhaps complain) about at any rate for one.

Wanqir City
Main Square
20 minutes after Twilight

It is a while after Dusk first arrived, but now finally something seems to be happening. The crowd quiets as a group of well-dressed people make their way down from the castle. Evidently, these are the members of the High Council, numbering ten in all, with two representatives from each city, always one man and one woman. Upon each person's garb, there is the emblem of the city they represent: the swirling depiction of water surrounding a shaft of bamboo for Aqinarr, the hard diamond broken by an axe representing Girhn, the woven wood and leaf emblem of Hylon, the faint wind and sand emblem of Fonhinqann, and finally, a stone surrounded by four coloured crystals to show the epicentre of Wanqir.

They are almost dressed in priestly robes, each with their emblem displayed on front, with a larger version on their back. The colours of their city are woven into each representative's gown, with an interplay of all of them for Wanqir. There is the shining mythril garments of Girhn, an aqua tone for the representatives for Aqinarr, a sand and almost wind-worn colour for Fonhinqann, and a leaf green for Hylon. Each also has a similarly coloured, yet simple circlet, made of a proper stone or material to represent the prime materials of their respective city. Their faces are hidden, however, by coloured silk that is held by their circlets forming veils.

"My friends!" A female voice calls out, seemingly from above, yet when everyone looks, no one is there.

"The Scout." A person next to Dusk murmurs, her tone undecipherable with such a short phrase amidst the ambient noise.

"I have been to the site of the cracks you see in the sky, and they are no simple thing. They are cracks within the world itself!"

This incredulous sentence sparks fear and disbelief within the crowd, which soon threatens to get out of hand, until suddenly the noise fades altogether. One of the guards stationed by the High Council has their hands pointed toward the crowd, likely holding it under a magically induced silence.

"It is something to fear, and it is questionable, but, regardless, it is true." The Scout continues, "At the peak of the mountain of Venerro, the cracks begin, which leads us, the high wizards and myself, to believe that the source lies within Venerro itself."

"The diviners among the high wizards have looked, and found this to be true. There is a force, seemingly from another world, which has pierced this world at a point within Venerro. From this hole, a strange enemy has appeared."

"What they are, we do not know. However, you can begin to see them as they make their way down the mountain on Venerro, and they are many."

At these words, most people indeed look beyond the castle to Venerro, and the uppermost regions of the mountain appear almost blanketed by waves of heat.

"In light of this." One of the representatives speaks, which one is difficult to determine as you cannot see their faces, "We've already sent word to build an advance party which will strike at the source of this disturbance before it gets out of hand."

Dusk notices that the guard that was holding the silence seems to have stopped, but most people are speechless at the moment anyway.

At first it appears as though Cindi is merely ignoring Delilah, but then her eyes glance over and she turns her head in one look. If glares could kill, hers would have done so. I should have known it'd be raised again. It would seem I'm the one who has to use small words. She thinks bitterly.

"Could someone replace the broken record already?" Cindi asks, grabbing something in the air and tossing it aside.

"Does look as though I need to hear it again? That fact has already been established in my mind before it was even spoken." Cindi says coldly, "What I was trying to talk about is something quite different, if not entirely."

"Heh, do you honestly think I am blind? I've already seen the picture, and that's why I move directly to specifics, because I don't need to talk about it. Do you wish to compare and contrast? In that case, here's what I see:"

"We are a group of people in an environment that can alternate between a stagnant nothingness, and a very hostile and unforgiving night, for lack of better descriptions offhand. We have little in terms of supplies as far as I can tell, specifically, food, water, and first aid. Physical shelter does not seem to be an issue as of yet, as weather appears rather stagnant so far. The current weapons we possess are rather inadequate in terms of capability to defend ourselves, either having so small a range that it risks counterattack, or having range but unreliable with limited ammunition. As of yet, we have no suitable transportation besides our feet, and do not know what skills we possess that could be of use at a later time. Also, we have little information regarding locations of such places where we'd be able to acquire any of these."

"Now, if you really want me to be quiet." Cindi says, more toward Jonah than Delilah, pausing thoughtfully, "There are a number of ways to do so. Simply not to acknowledge my existence, and therefore I will have no reason to speak, cutting out my vocal chords or otherwise muting me, and obviously, you can of course just kill me."

She says each of the options with indifference, at least as can be determined by tone and body posture. Regardless of whether she is truly indifferent or not, merely expressing particularly the final option without much of a reaction would likely cause one to consider whether or not Cindi is stable and sane.

"Go on! I'll open the hangar door when you're ready." Kate vocalizes in Sullustese.

Yes, it is a simple thing to hear, but in truth far more difficult than it sounds. In actuality, Kate is taking this opportunity to test her circuitry regarding the vocabulator, as well as the configuration settings she has devised. To her, it is adequate, but in reality it is more than enough to pass as a female organic's voice, complete with a tone that indicates, even though the words may not be understood, a slight encouragement and even perhaps a need for haste.

"Thank you very much!" Linnix says as she downs the potion in a single, fluid motion.

The liquid is just slightly thick, making the motion more difficult to accomplish, but Linnix, determined not to taste the potion more than she has to, manages it anyway.

"Bleh," Linnix grimaces, "They certainly don't make potions with taste in mind do they?"

She closes her eyes, trying to put the taste out of her mind, but also to try to feel the magic. She had never really thought of magic much before, and wasn't one to consider it, but she is curious. Vaguely, she can feel a slight... Linnix frowns slightly, at a loss of how to describe it.

Yes, that could be a way to visualize it. It is as though there is a mist within her body, with the vague sensation of feeling the mist. As quickly as Linnix defines it, however, it vanishes.

"Umm, how exactly did they work? Or can that even be described?" Linnix asks, opening her eyes.

"Althena, I think you should be the one to say the actual demand; you were the one to open the two doors before, so I think you're probably the key again this time." Haila thinks aloud, before picking up Niamedris in preparation for whatever was to come.

You know, I'd prefer all of my paws to be on something solid. Niamedris thinks as he examines his dangling legs, with Haila holding him up by the torso.

Perhaps you would, but I don't like it when you suddenly leap from my arms, scratching me in the process, when I hold you that way. Haila returns.

Well, it's not my fault that I tend to see a mouse or other fast thing from such a wonderful vantage point. Niamedris says.

... you like sounding all important don't you? Haila thinks quietly, unwittingly within Niamedris' telepathic 'hearing'.

Just sounding all important? I am the epitome of all importance. Niamedris returns, swatting Haila with a flick of his tail.

Haila walks forward as Divot does, "I'd rather not have to carry this heavy cat for more than I have to..." she murmurs almost as an explanation.

Yet, despite the two bickering with one another, Niamedris and Haila both know each other well enough to not take the other seriously... or at least Haila does.

"Well, graphics-wise, the root town of Lia Fail is a beautiful place." Rei Lightning replies, "It is also a place that is very nostalgic for R:1 players as well, not unlike the other root towns that have been remade."

"With regards to the areas within that server, no area level range is listed because it is quite literally any area level." Gho Lightning adds, "From 1 to 150, it is a rather unique server in that its areas can be quite deadly or too tame, and the area specifications don't specify the area level either when you go to one, so you would never know until you run into monsters."

"Another thing about Xi server is that you can go to some areas that appear directly as they did off of R:1." Rei Lightning continues, "With both a field, and a dungeon that consists of obvious rooms and corridors. They also use the old portal system for spawning monsters."

"Those areas are usually caused by the use of the Keyword 'Ancient' as the first word of the area word." Gho Lightning finishes for both of them, "Although, some special areas are like that without the word 'Ancient', like Chatting Snaring Twins."

Rei Lightning begins to walk forward subtly, seeming to cue the others to do the same.

"A blast from the past..." Kiku murmurs, "No... the rebirth of the past, that's a bit less colloquial and more elegant."

Finishing the configuration scripts would have to wait; it would seem Kate is needed. Oh well, it'd be much easier to practise aboard the ship on her own time in her own room. Rolling over to the computer interface port, an arm with a similar port extends forth from one of Kate's frontal compartments, extending into the port and beginning to rotate, the light to the side of the port turning on to show Kate's operation as working.

Well, it wasn't as though she wasn't prepared for this; she was running a couple of simulation programs in the background even as she was configuring her vocabulator, and there were a few viable options. Now to see just which one she would use... opening a simple door? Oh, Kate would do that, but she'd try out an idea first...

Subject: Sui...

I don't think you understand exactly how critical it would be for our characters. At the very least, the ship provides a means, even if only used for this, to leave the planet to survive elsewhere where KTI isn't so dominant, perhaps even to another Outer Rim planet if needed.

If the universe of SW is anything like reality, you have to consider that applying for a job would require something like a social insurance number. Even if our chars were to apply for one, application requires identification, which we wouldn't have (not any that are seen as valid at any rate). On a world such as this where technology is a strong factor, credits will likely be used far more than any physical currency. Without any apparent, credible account with which to store credits even if you got a basic job that gave you income, and unable to apply for one due to lack of valid identification, survival isn't going to be that great to begin with.

On another Outer Rim planet where currency is 'more real', then perhaps it's a viable option to find another way, but in this setting, basically the only way truly would be to beg. Even crafting and making one's own business requires funding to begin with, and without credentials, you won't find many (if any) investors. I'm not saying the starship grants instant survival; I'm just saying chances are probably going to be much better.

(Yes, I know Sullust is in the Outer Rim astronomically, but it is a member of the New Republic, and so would deal with more credits than other currency I think)
