Subject: ENVY?

Ha. This is just the first time Eledil had to take stock of what has been happening. Bronwyn's time of grief, made her take a long hard look at her resposibilities, which til now were only superficial.

Subject: Elendil

Elendil could not help but feel the young mages sorrow at the loss of her pony. From what she had learned of the life of the girl, hers had not been an easy life and after the lose of her last parent, her mother, the pony was special to her, it having been Bronwyn’s first mount as a child. She had her own pains to face as Bronwyn wept in her arms.

Maybe she should have listened to her voices of reason back at the inn where she had first met Bronwyn who was looking for someone to guide her south. Elendil was going that way, over the Starspire Mts on a mission of the Council of Elders. There had been disturbing rumors of Goblin activity to the South and they wanted intelligence on the matter. As an experienced ranger, she was selected for the mission. Recent successes had allowed her to augment her trained and natural skills with magical items that would be use for surveillance and infiltration. Maybe she had been feeling a bit cocky after she had been chosen for the mission and had not heeded her own second thought on the matter to taking Bronwyn south.. Putting aside her trepidations she offered to guide Bronwyn south, feeling that she could easily keep her safe from goblins.

Later on the trip there were a couple of times she was ready to take the girl back, as she was utterly naive about the real world around her, and had not knowledge of the skill needed to trek in the wilds. Yet Elendil had not done so, not wanting to delay her trip.

With a pang of regret, Elendil realized that it was she who was the firect caused the death of the pony. The pony would still be alive if she had not gotten involved in dealing with the goblins. That and the very fact they were here at the Keep was a blame she took squarely on her shoulders. She was the one that attacked the goblins; she was the one to go to the rescue of the captive. She was the one who had wanted to go into the keep to aid the assassin and to kill her favorite enemy.

The sobs finally stopped and the sorrow racked trembling faded. Only then, did Elendil release Bronwyn, who then rose and pulled off Buttercup’s saddle and saddle bags and removed the halter and the noseband from Buttercup’s nose that had kept her quiet. Bronwyn then took Buttercups tack aside and moved the saddlebags to hide them deep in a thicket. Elendil’s brow rose as she worked to hide them, it was not what Elendil had expected the girl to do, but she moved to help her conceal the items.

Bronwyn turns to look at the keep and then turning to Elendil, she spoke quietly and without emotion since she was drained of those for the time being, though her words were a bit strained, and a little rough.

“I have one fireball left, but that is about it besides my wand of Magic Missile and some minor cantrips. I can cast invisibility on myself. Can we get in there? If not by that gate, then perhaps by some other way. I wouldn’t mind using it on those goblins.”

Elendil was shocked by Bronwyn’s sudden declaration. She glances at the gate and sees that it is still open. With a newfound care, she gauges their chances of getting into the gate at this time.

If she sees the gaone gate is still open she mill head that way to better assess the situation inside.

This was said with not so much as a by you leave from Moraglin.

In further reading I found out the Invocations need to be used to use Metaphysics. In the Wicce section it says all Wicce are taught 2 of 3 Invocations, Blessing, Curse, and Insight. Rhiannon chose Blessing and Insight.

Does Wicce rituals cover this area?

I also need to know if to use our Metaphysical powers we have to have a invocation for each one.

Subject: Rhiannon

Rhiannon was no longer sure why she and Morganna had come here. It was not for the music, if you could call it that, being raucously loud with the as yet, not understandable, lyrics of whatever was being played. After they had finished their gig at the local Celtic Bar, a place called the “The Highlander”, where the music was heard and understood, they had come to check out the place that they had heard about. A place the Gifted frequented.

Rhiannon sat upright from nursing her margarita as she heard the first of what was to be three shots that rang out in rapid succession. Such were her reactions that she turned in time see the bullet that struck the victim in the nose and come out the back of his head.

The shooter was dress in dark combat gear. Her black boots, a pair of leather combat boots that the army used to use, She wore a pair of black cargo pants with a black belt on then a red muscle shirt that came up and exposed her midriff with an old military jacket hiding the pistol in its shoulder holster. A lone silver bracelet with a pentacle on it decorated her right wrist and was the only piece of jewelry that she wore besides a plain watch on the opposite side. Her platinum blonde that was cut short and her eyes were dark blue. Her body was lithe and athletic, very slim and attractive.

Rhiannon turns to look at the victim, a neatly dressed man with a yen for flare, though he did have some sort of amulet that flew up into the air as the first two shots knocked him back a few steps. Two relatively handsome people, one dead, considering the shot that went straight through his skull, and the other his killer. The question was why especially in this place known for its neutrality. Private matters should have been kept out of here.

Rhiannon glanced back at the shooter, there was something very familiar about the young woman.

For now Rhiannon was true to her Wicce teachings, “For every action there is a reaction or consequence, and no one should do anything if she is not prepared to face the consequences.” All true Wicce practitioners were taught to turn a questioning eye towards most things and told to use the Wise Craft lightly (why disturb the flow of Essence if your strong back or a telephone call can do the job?), but when you must, do not hesitate. After you are finished, remember to leave things as you found them (or a little better), to dismiss the forces you invoked, and to make sure no wrong (including your own) goes unpunished. Rhiannon made no move except to evaluate the scene. Balance must be maintained in all matters.

Rhiannon looked to Morganna, she was almost sure Morganna had the same thoughts. Just in case she uses Insight to scan the club.

As we are to the system......

Would we be able to preceive the nature of evil about, before the shooting and or after the shooting?

What would we know of these cultists.

What would we know about the ramifications of fighting or even killing these cultists in this place?

As Shandra strike as the goes to dodge anything the ant might do she suddenly remembers her dagger. In this case the club and the dagger could be weiled seperately. She is ashamed that she let down her sensei's by not thinkuing clearly.

She immedialtely takes stock of what she is carrying and what is standing by should she need it. There were the javelins, but she did not wan to use them all up in the first fight.

She keep in mind the staff and contemplates were best she could use a wall of thorns, if at all, for Ants wore their skeletons on the outside. It was unfortunate that ants had multifaceted eyes, otherwise the sand of the arena would have proved useful. She would keep that in mind for later.

Hearing Amberlyn advice she moves to close with the paladin and will try to get back to back with her, as best as possible, but will not expose herself to attacks of opportunity by doing so.

Shandra now tries to set up for a two weapon attack, using the club and then the dagger.

One would think the person who hit you would be paying for those.

Anyway, If you are looking for a game again, I could use a player in Peradyse Lost (3.5 D&D) and Rylanor-The Building of a Nation (Freeform, but with D&D 3.5 PC Generation)

"Sometimes it is easier to close your eyes and think of doing something hyman, like brushing your hair." Zara adds another suggestion to her list how to revert to your true form. Zara waits for Alex to change.

"Oko, would you please keep watch, especially for any of those bubbles." She smiles at the Felani, "This would not be the best time for one to show up."

To help calm things, and maybe put the innkeeper into a better frame of mind. She unwraps her harp and tunes it quickly. As she tunes it Arainna come over and asks her to share a room.

"Fine with me."

Then Liriel moves towards the fire, sits on a chair and begins to play the harp and sing. She purposefully choose a calming song and used her bardic skill to return peace to the inn.

Alea moves up to Siliwen's left, into a protective position, to stand as her shield. Her sword was ready, not that a sword was capable of stopping the Shelnak's form of magics.

If she had to risk her life so that Siliwen could carry on the mission, then so be it, for it seemed that Siliwen was the key to their success.

Alea could only wish she was a better cleric, then maybe she could be more helpful.

She is at a loss as to what to do now. She knows the equipmewnt on the pony was valuable to Bronwyn, but they really needed to be gone from here. She studied the gateway wondering if they was any hope to get the those fighting inside. She was not sure who and what they were, but there were indications that the goblins were under attack.

IF Bronwuyn is still acting distraught, Elendil will cover her mouth until the girl stops crying.

As to returning to you true shape, first of all, you are not the beast nor is it in control. Your sudden charge was panic. You are in control and because you are in control all you have to do is think of yourself in you own shape. Concentrate on those things of your natural body that are not part of this body. Like the feel of sand running through you fingers. Layin on you back in the water. Ah.....holding something in your hands, eating using s fork."

"Now give it a try."

As a young monk Shandra had been set the task of learning the ways of the ants. Hours a day were spend viewing ants, there were lessons to be learned from them. Ants were tenacious, ants persevered, ants had different duties which they carried out even if it meant their deaths, and ants used their antennea to communicate. Shandra hope these giant ants had the same weakness for she was going to target their antennea for her attacks. If that did not seem to work, then she would go for the joints of their legs.

Shadra lifts her club to aid in reach those vulneable positions of the giant ants. She knows to stay out of the way of their crushing mandibles.

The man stops seeing you are strangers. "Well Kaleb the Smith has his shop over by that big oak, you can see the top of," and he points.

"The bowyer and fletcher share a shop over there," and he points to a small building about 100 feet away.

"If they don't have it or know where you can get it, its not available here."

He nods and walks on.

A prominent sign showing a bow and quiver of arrows lets you know you have come to the right place. A woman inside listens to what you need, and offers the needed arrows at a slightly higher price than normal, but then inspection of the arrows shows them to be of high quality, worthy of the price.

There are also a number of fine bows on racks.

True Draven, and yes we did have the vial of the Lotus of Light. Elessarae had it. I picked it up when you fell under the tree at Hith Elee, anyway it would have been a group effort to finally stop the demon.

Subject: No, way, I say

No, as far as I am concerned, it was a hard fought battle that we barely won. One thing is Elessarae knew the demon's name and had deduced that someone of great power was behind the gathering of Evil Humanoids. Throndek survived to move on to the next game the Almerin started. He wrote that he used his dimensional pop to get away before the group finally freed themselves.

Those of us left were of such a nature as to go on and take out the demon. I figured that Draven played an important part in that, teamed with, Malius, Elessarae, Loda, & Geim

Elendil can not leave Bronwyn on her own, she spins about, grabs the pony's lead, and races back to the forest, dragging Bronwyn along with the pony.

All she can think of doing is keeping to the deepest part of the forest and work her way back to the edge of the mts and then work her way south.

She says nothing as she leads them deeper into the forest with the greatest care so as not to be discovered by the goblins and their allies.

In the back of his mind was the need to report what she had found, ignoring Bronwyn's wish to go south. The girl had no business being out of a mage's tower.

Elendil is being torn apart, She want to go after the Drow, and she caught a glimpse of humans, it seemed who were fighting the goblins inside.

From the sound of the horns echoing about the forest from many directions she knew that this area would soon be overflowing with goblins.

"Bronwyn, she yells above the horns, screams, and cries as she grabs the pony's lead rope and pulls it around, knowing that the mage's precious equipment is packed on the pony, "hundreds, maybe thousands of goblins are heading this way, our best chance is to join those inside who are fighting the goblins and orcs. There will be less of them in there than out here."

She switches from her bow and takes out her sword, so she can lead the pony toward the keep and still fight.

"Hurry!"

Zara sat calmly on her mule looking at the newly transformed cleric. "You do make a beautiful Pegasus."
