Topic: Peradyse Lost
Subject: Lorae

"Looks like Zara is out of food," Lorae comments looking up to see the peculiar teen walking back to camp with a empty plate.

"I'll take this watch, and you others can figure out watches for the rest of the day and through the night. I would suggest 2 at a time and at least one should have low light vision or dark vision."

Lorae heads up the hill and a silvery stallion detatches itself from the herd and follows along with her.

"Hi, said a golden haired, half elf teen holding a plate loaded with food, again, "my name's Zara,"

She takes the plate and heads off up the hill, "Go ahead and sit a spell Brianna, I will watch for a while."

Lorae had stood as Flame called out, but quickly took in the aspect of the man that suddenly appeared through the self same portal they had come through, a Good and Godly man.

She walked to the edge of camp to greet the newcomer. To Xander she was radiant, for the aura about her was that of scintillating light. She was the epitomy of everything that was Eldritch and Elven.

“Greetings, fellow traveler, I am Lorae, an old friend of Brianna’s, ” her voice was melodious. “There is a feast available, if you are hungry, but come sit and tell us your tale and we will tell you ours.”

Flame deftly swoops under the beam of light and on reaching Brianna, grabs her braid, ducks behind her back and cries out.

"HEWLP! HEWLP!" "BRIANNA SAVE ME!"

Subject: Coming through to Some Where Else

Three people run afoul of ancient magics. One a Cleric of Pelor, sent to investigate and the recently discovered ruined temple. He was more a healer than a fighter but he was the closest priest of a high enough ability and experience the local folk were afraid that this might be a place of evil and many would not go out into their fields claiming evil had been released. The good Cleric undertook to reassure the village folk by promising to examine the ruins. As he enter the ruins he took care as he examined the main hall entering a smallish room that was still intact hw examined the walls for any clues trying to discern its nature. Casually he passed though a set of carved pillars, set into a niche.

The next sight he saw......

..........................................................

The forest was deep and dark, the great trees around the Ranger almost spoke to him, could it be that they could tell him of the ruins of the Elven city he had found, a city so old that none of his long-lived kind knew nothing of it. Weaving through the trees and buildings he passed by a set of carved wooden pillars, looking like they had been there ages, yet the carving on them looked as if they had been done yesterday. He traced one of the cravings with his fingers and walked through them to see if he could find any ruins or elven writing on them.

Suddenly the scene changed and he saw.....

.........................................

The thief ran, the guild had turned on him, No city in Orleans was safe for him anymore. He ran through the twisted tunnels filled with building rubble and collapsed masonry, and turns of the City Below, the forgotten places that people just built over. He had never ventured so far into this section of the City Below before, it was just to dangerous but his only hope was that others would not dream of him penetrating this far. This area was dangerous, not just too old buildings crushed under the weight of newer buildings above, but from the creatures that made their homes down here in the dark ruins.

The Guild was tenacious, and the reward for his capture dead or alive was high so high his "friends" might gladly turn him in for it. Unfortunately he was an ethical thief. Thinking he heard footsteps behind him he dove through a narrow gap between fallen pillars and rolled up neatly to his feet and froze and he saw..........

......................................................... Whoever posts first comes through first.

Each of you will exit between two pillars of carved stone, onto a knoll, at one end of lush high valley several miles across rimmed with a thick forest of many deciduous tresses and of lofty evergreens. The valley slants off to it the right toward a river that ran through it before it headed off in that direction. (The ranger might discern that direction as roughly west once he can see the sun move from its apex.) to the east rose high a snow-covered range mountains and to the south a shorter range with but a few of the most tall still having snow caps and all about the rim of the valley were verdant forests of evergreens and deciduous trees. A scattering of trees and bushes also dotted along the meandering river course.

The sun is high in the sky. A pair of golden hawks circled in the bright blue sky searching for a meal. Rabbits, whose warrens were scattered about the hill top, popped up to see who was disturbing them. The warm sun beats down on them and a crisp light breeze blows down the valley.

Down the knoll in lush river meadow, graze a double handful of horses of horses and the smoke of a small fire drift lazily up through the branches of some low hanging trees.

Subject: Mora

Soon she has saddled her horse and gathered what supplies she could without taking what her parents would need to make the journey south.

She took her horse a big strapping stallion that her father had gotten for her with a bit of dealing from a passing horse trader 5 years back. The trader was in town for the Summer's End Festival cursing because an old mare had slowed him down the whole trip and he missed the first day of selling. By the end of the Festival the Trader was ready to go. That was when her father went to see him about a horse for Mora, hoping to get a good deal. When he pointed to the old mare and asked the price her jaw had dropped. The mare was near cripple Mora though her father was taking pity on the old horse, when he offered to buy it from the trader for a few silver, he knew that trader did not want to have her slowing him down as he went south.

It was to be her horse and she could not believe he was buying her this broken down mare. She quietly cried all the way home leading the limping mare behind her. Her father was cluckling all the way home and kept telling Mora how luck she was and all she had to do was wait until spring. Then her father pointed out what she had missed.

She remembered his word's clearly. "That mare was someone's warhorse, and it is a rare mare that is trained as a warhorse." He went on pointing out injuries from swords, axes, and arrows. You just wait.

That fall and winter she tended the mare, which did fatten up, and massaged her leg. It was not until later that Mora figured out the mare was pregnant. When she asked her father "How did you know?" he just smiled. "From the look in her eyes." he replied. The mare foaled a most beautiful black colt and from the way he pranced and cavorted she named him Shadow Dancer.

two sets of bulging saddlebags were packed on the back of Dancer and She also had her big pony for Ninian to ride and the gedling also carries a pair of baskets tied to the back of Mora's old saddle filled with supplies.

"Ok, I am ready. Ninian, you can ride Dandy."

I gladly accept the title and will stare down a nay-sayer when faced with one with my lovely set of comebacks.

"RPG Real People are Gamers."

"At least I have the mental stability to handle multiple personalities."

"I bet you love Soap Operas."

Nick's telling Venn he wanted her to see me was 7 hours before Tony am in Ten Forward. So she could have called me anytime during Toni's exploration of the ship. If so it would color Tony's thoughts and actions once in Ten Forward.

I can wait--Maybe you should nudge Glory of G, to finish the interview.

I was going to post for Toni La Rue still in Ten Forward, but if the Councilor is going to call me in on the same day I might have to change my post. So I will wait until informed of the Councilor's actions.

Elendil's dreams flitted for one thing to another, strange dreams of an elven prince, of a gold dragon, of flying high in the air and then being carried in the lap of the Prince as his moonsteed galloped through the forest. Nothing seemed connected and yet, in her dreams they both made love to her.

Mora "Badon is gone, the people were turned to undead and there is someone trying to reestablish Dragon Rule. Mother, Father, for your own sakes go south to Uncle Geran's."

Leaving her parents Maora goes back to Trillion and asks about the amulet. "Do you know what it is?"

When she learns of the nature of the amulet she takes it and puts it on. Knowledge was the lifesblood of Bards, and she was a bard as well as a fighter.

No matter what her parents decide Mora begins to gather her things, they have the fiendish child to stop. Soon she has saddlebags full of clothes and her horse saddled and her old horse carrying a pack saddle with 1/3 of the provisions that she could find, waterskins and other odds and ends for camping, tarps, rope, an old cooking pot, a tripod for hanging the pot, long handled utensiles and usable stuff.

She keeps her mind focused on the mundane to keep her imagination for running away with her.

Tamuril motions to Isilimiri, should the shark attack Cole she will go to hack at its tail, for without the use of its tail it would be helpless in the water as it seemed to be its main propulsion.

(Not sure if we can talk under water.)
