DM excuses herself from the group and heads to a door with a plaque denotion it to be Free-form in the Future. A bit later she returns with a dejected look, and less than gracefully plops down on a chair beside Meri.

"We've been deserted, abandon!" There is deep sadness in her voice. "Meri we have to find a GM for Operation Presophone. Our characters are to wonderful to just let die."

"I have put out a post in Recruitment trying to find someone to take over. We could easily commandeer an entire new ship, and if any of the Captains return it could be worked out. I was thinking we could all act as Moderators as it is a Free-form game. We could even commandeer a Romulan Bird of Prey to carry out the mission."

"What do you think?"

Elendil takes a moment to use one charge off her Belt of Healing and then advances to the cage. She picks up a Gnoll ax in case she needs to break the cage open, looking at the cage to gauge what may be needed to open it.

Change Liriel's height to 5'8" I did give a description in my Intro and there is also a list of features at the top of her CS under her name.

Background will be coming, I will PM it to you.

Liriel listen as the big man speaks again. The Gano then led the group outside, where the brisk morning air bit exposed skin with a minute tinge before becoming accustomed to it. “In one hour, I would like to meet at the Northern Gate. Please be prepared, since we’ll be sleeping in the rough for much of this, and conditions are going to be harsh. Though…” Looking straight at Arianna, he winked. “Maybe you could help gear them up?”

“What tof the money offered?” Liriel asks before the man turns to go. “Is that to be paid before we leave. I am not equipped for such a trip and lack the funds to provide myself with need gear, and a riding horse and a mule.” She was not going to walk all the way there and back. As for gear she had very little, she was used to singing for her bed and board, and rarely stayed the night in field and forest.

(Reply)

With a booming laugh that echoed in their minds, the burly fellow rushed off down the cobbled streets, away from the harbour district and towards the market.

She looks to the other of the group, hoping they would help her choose the best equipment for the least price, Eight Rommels was not going to go far.

Still standing Liriel listened as others offered their services. The dwarf was a tough fighter type and as he stated, a cleric. The Human was either a cleric or possibly a Paladin, he would be a great asset, and so to would the Elven woman who offered her services to act as their scout.

To go along on such an adventure could bring her fame and maybe some fortune, but the difficulty would come from not being strong in any one field. She was well practiced with bow and longsword, daggers and Lun's stars. She had some minor magics both divine and arcane and as a trained Bard she had special abilities that could be of great use. That was about all, not much to offer the group, except that she was a good cook.

"I, Lirel,” she does not use her whole name, even Liriel was not her true name but she did not dare use her name openly for many reasons, leaving a trail for her family to follow to find her was her main concern, “offer my services to this endeavor. What weapons you see on me I can use. I speak a number of languages and a have strong background in history. I can also act as a chronicler and a cook.”

It was not an oratory, but then a long speech about herself was not her way and it would have sounded strange to do so only to be turned down. She had seen that Ranger looking at her when she had first spoken. It did not take much to understand that the Ranger did not consider her to be a candidate for this endeavor. Liriel kept it short and simple without her usual waxing words and flowery dissertations.

"We are just here for the night so that my companions can restock their quivers on the morning. A recenet battle left them short of arrows and there were little in the way of reserve arrows in Asbenford left after the Battle at Eventide."

"As to where we are headed, that would be west and south, and as to why, we search for information."

Lorae adds no more, not that she distrusts this young man, but because of others about who might hear.

Lorae watches the young Elf come over from the bar, he could not hide what he was, even though there was an attempt to do so for the less decerning eye. She like what she saw of his aura as he appraoched. The intense indigo, and bright blue revealed his spirituality and his intelligence. The turquoise of communication was backed up by his outgoing advance on their table, and the fact that he spoke first. The yellow of creativity was also intense, much in a way like Vatta's. The rest of his colors were also clear and bright.

Lorae catches Brianna's quick look to her and she gives a slight cock to her head and smiles. She reaches out a sips her mead.

Elendil cheered inwardly as the first Gnoll dropped, and as expected the Gnolls dropped the cage. What was not expected the gnoll's reckless charge and the quickness of their actions catching her off guard. Elendil does her best to keep from getting flanked, dropping her bow and reaching for her sword, though she does not get it clear before they reach her Before she had a chance to properly defend herself they were upon her, and both axe blades met soft elven skin and the flesh underneath, finding gaps in her leather armor. Elendil (37/49hp)

She bits off a cry of pain, least the Gnolls take courage at injuring her. “Let none leave alive.” She calls out and with a deft pull and twist of her wrist her sword clears it sheath and she smiles as she faces the Gnolls, vengeance lights her eyes. Her sword strike is all that is graceful and deadly, striking at the Gnoll on her left, which would leave the sword angled across her body hoping that it will inhibit the strike of the second Gnoll.

She is hoping that Bronwyn can down her Gnoll and then come to her aid. The tiny human mage showed some spunk, even if it was only that she did not want to be left alonge Still she was here and using her magic effectively, despite her fear.

(OOC DM sent PM that is a problenm in timing)

"No, four Gnolls are taking the cage that way," she points the way there are headed. "We follow the Gnolls. We will hit the first two not carrying the cage. I will take the front one, you hit the back and keep him from running for help. Then we go for the other two. I am hoping that we can down them from a distance. When you hear the bow twang you fire.

Elendil leads Bronwyn through the trees parallel the Gnolls who, because of the weight and awkwardness of the cage have to move slowly over the forest trail.

She moves to get in front of them, luckily there is much noise in moving the cage, which was of great help to Bronwyn not being heard. Elendil gets to a good spot for an ambush leaves Bronwyn in good cover, so the anyone trying to attack her would have to go around a log and she moves up about 8 feet and brings her bow to ready, three arrows under her left two small fingers and an arrow notched and half drawn.

Elessarae does not use a spell book. As for CAVE I misread as to where the Goblin shaman came from.

Elessarae would not let the fact that the healing had been noticed dishearten her, but she watched the proceedings with interest as the Orc stopped the Goblin from racing to tell some higher up that they had been using magic.

Strange, the guard had shouted out in Draconic, not goblin.

When the Orcs begin beating on the bars and the drum, Elessarae just sit there staring out at them. She was hoping the Goblin in the cave will take umbrage and send them away, but that was asking a great deal from Heren'salkya, whom the humans called Shinara, Goddess of Luck and Fortune and in their case good fortune. She made silent prayers, as she has done before in her recent extremities to all the Gods and Goddesses of the Light and the Good and in Here’salkya's case even those who were more neutral. She also adds a special prayer to Ona-Estelan, the God of the Hopeless, Lost and Needy.

She will take the time to test out the floor of the cage, the condition of the wood. When she seems to be stretching she will use her legs to press against the bars of the cage to test them.

The ceiling was not too low and the rough-hewn beams had been blackened by the smoke from many a torch and lantern. Two great fireplaces stood on either end of the common room, testament to the cold winter nights. Fresh wood shavings were strewn on the floor, and lanterns adorned every other beam. Two big wrought iron chandeliers hung from chains from the second story roof beams. There was a staircase going up to a landing the circled the room and there were doors all around the second floor.

An older man, slightly balding and moving with a limp came out for a storeroom behind the bar. Everything about him said innkeeper, especially the apron and the small keg in his hands.

"Rooms, ye say, I got rooms, don't get too many coming off the road these days, most pass us by. Seasonal hunters come up here in the fall and early winter to try their luck." He sets the keg in a rack and turns to look an Xuor. (Xuor, you have a wolf companion)

"How many are ye," he gives Xuor a once over, "Ranger."

O
ut comes the table from her bag of holding and next comes a couple of baskets and a small keg. From one of the baskets she pulls a a long loaf of bread, a big ham and then she slices the bread in half the long way, Next she btought out a pot of mustard, some butter, some ripe tomates and some greens. After buttering the bread and spreading out some mustard she slices the ham and tomatoes. The thin slices of ham are layered deep on the bottom half of the bread, then came the tomatoes and finally the leaves of salad greens. She finishes it by putting to top of the bread back on the stuffed loaf.

"OK, cut off what you can eat," and pulling the cloth off the other basket reveals a variety of fruit. She immediately cut off about 4 inches of from one end, fills her mug with ale and finds a rock to sit on.
