Topic: Rylanor -- The Building of an Empire
Subject: Zara

Zara chuckles. "That was my idea exactly." and as was her way she quickly changed subjects. "Grab you bowls and I'll ladle in the porridge. We can get breafast done and saddle up. If Moraglin is not up by then we can just drag her along on a rope."

She grabs a bowl for herself, fills it and sets it off to the side. "There is cream on the table and stuff to throw into your porridge as you want."

True to her words there were containers of dried fuits, sliced nuts, brown sugar. and honey on the table.

Subject: S'Talon

Stardate: 2374.09.06
USS Charon – Cargo Bay 2 – 16:00 hours

He hated waste. He hated waiting, but he stood at the edge of the force field unmoving until he lifted his hand to the comlink. The features of his face shifted with his demeanor. He stiffened and his face bore a hardened look. This was no way to be treated, he had given them their chance to rectify the problems, now he would take it in his own hands.

<<-|| Computer, this is Lt. S’Talon D’Mora of the Romulan contingent. I wish to register a formal complaint to Star Fleet for unfair and unsatisfactory treatment.

Point 1: As of 12:40 this day, we were brought aboard the Charon along with other survivors of the Cerberus. At that time, we were isolated and told it was for our own protection. This was understandable considering the circumstances. What is not tolerable is that we were not given access to the same amenities as the Cerberus’s survivors. As of 16:00 we have had no access to food, water, freshers and facilities for natural needs, while the Cerberus personnel have had the benefits of all four.

Point 2: We were told that we had to make all requests to and through a Lt. Kennedy as other Charon personnel were under orders not to communicate with us directly, I asked for our liaison at 14:20, so far he has not arrived and I have no way of knowing if he even got my request.

Point 3: One Star Fleet Lieutenant, I do not know his name, should be commended as he saw that we had no table or chairs and he provided them for us.

End of Complaint, for now.

Computer, I wish copies of this report to go directly to the Captain of the Charon, and the Cerberus for their immediate attention. You will hold this report from being sent to Star Fleet, pending the outcome Starfleet personnel to rectify these shortcomings. <<-||

It was terse and succinct, befitting S’Talon’s mood at this moment. He knew all too well what the Star Fleet people were feeling, but this time it was not the Romulans at the root of their problem, yet they were being treated as if they had, no matter what Lt. Kennedy had said.

"Tyr, you too reveer Knowledge, Please convey to Denier and Oghma, that I am here in the name of justice, to retrieve for you that which will aid us in the fight against evil."

She then reverses the blade, into the position of retibution.

"For our parts we will do what we can to rid the temple of evil, so that it will be safer for the Clergy of Denier and Oghma to reclaim."

Lorae draws rein at the side road going north into the foothills with a weathered sign post with Paldan's Helm carved into the surface. Some of the letters still have some paint in them.

"We could stop at the village for tonight, they have a small tavern where we could bed down for the night. It is about 8 miles up the road. It could be that we can find more arrows there, as their main occupation is hunting."

Cerric is waiting outside when they the other exit the inn, He politely nods and greets the others including Vatta.(Do not know what has happened to Cerric. I will be looking for a player for him, for now he is an NPC.)

A quick raid on the village market gets them most of the supplies they need. Arrows are in short supply and the best Vatta can do is 23 arrows, 10 broard tips and 8 armor piercing, and a couple of different types of hunting arrors for birds.

It is a beautiful late summer day when the group leaves Asbenford with determined riding they reach the road to Peldan's Helm, a small village north of the road, where Lorae and Brianna have stayed before.

Lorae stands and looks about for Vatta and Caerric. Off to the side at a table by herself she spots Vatta.

The Paladin to the Light moves over to her in her silent graceful way. "We will be leaving soon, we are heading to Suzail in Cormyr. Your knowledge of cities is going to be very valuable to us."

She smiles down to the young woman as if she is feeling the alienation that Vatta was nursing in her mug of brew. "You have been a true and faitful comrade."

It was said simply, and Vatta could feel she meant it.

"There'll be enough for you, but you will have to wait your turn." she waves the ladle at him. So off you go and if you find a honey tree you can come tell me."

She points out to the forest, "If not, don't bug the cook. You would not want to be blamed for burnt porridge."

She goes back to cooking as if there were not a 600 lb bear behing her.

"A lit candle is a part of Dinier's symbol and the book could be a differenet way of showing reference to Ohgma, whose symbol is a blank scroll."

She looks it over for any other runes or glyphs.

"I would say this is probably the way to go, but careful still."

Subject: Elessarae

The Bladesinger had now changed to her bow, they had to down the wyvern and quickly. She aims for the wings, as they are the most fragile part of the beast, piercing the wings would hamper its ability to stay in the air that is why she was using the broad headed arrows.

In a deep and trumpting voice Elessarae turns the human song she has used before into a quickly reworded Dwarven fight song, to inspire courage in her comrades and continue to carry on the pretense of the mysterious Dwarves of Chakran.

Men of Chakran! In the Hollow,
Do ye hear like rushing billow
Wave on wave that surging follow
Battle's distant sound?

Tis the tramp of Goblin foemen,
Goblin spearmen, Goblin bowmen,
Be they many more than our men,
They shall bite the ground!

Loose the folds asunder,
Flag we conquer under!
The sable sky now has drawn nie
We’ll launch its deadly bolts in thunder!

Onward! 'tis Chakrandum needs us,
He is bravest, he who leads us
Honor's self now proudly heads us,
Freedom, Kharox and Right!

Rocky Steeps and passes narrow,
Flash with spear and flight of arrow
Who would think of death or sorrow?
Death is glory now!

Hurl the reeling not-men over,
Let the earth dead foemen cover
Fate of friend, of wife, of lover,
Trembles on a blow!

Strands of life are riven!
Blow for blow is given
In deadly lock, or battle shock,
No mercy to the dying given!

Men of Chakran! young or hoary,
Would you win a name in story?
Stike for home, for life, for glory!
Freedom, Khadox and Right!

(for those who would like to know the music it goes to: http://www.contemplator.com/wales/harlech2.html there is a quick intro of the first verse and then in goes on to play the 2 set of 4 verses.)

Elessarae does continue to keep an eye on the advancing hordes.

Rhiannon MacQueen will stick up for you. She was upset that your orders had been overidden by a man who did not have the information I had given you. He never even asked you why you made the call.

One pissed MACO, with everyone suspect in the destruction of the Cerberus, to call Stowbrieski safe was NOT right.

"Best way to go I can think of that you can go is to Suzail, the capitol of Cormyr. Best way to get there is go west to Tilverton and then south to Suzail. You will have to travel over the Storm Horns that is tough going but , but the Purple Dragons maintain patrols from Tilverton down. Any other way would necessitate crossing some parts of the Cormanthor that right now that is not a good places to travel."

Jadar paused to take a drink from his mug.

"It's about a 120 miles from here to Tilverton, that again from Tilverton to Suzail. Some of the distance is doubled in the Storm Horns where the road has a lot of switchbacks, as the crow lies it would be shorted to Suzail."

"Wagon wise that would mean about 30 miles a day if you push it, 15-20 miles as day in the foot hills and maybe half that in the steepest parts of the road. But on horses it should not be that slow. miles a day and that would mean 4-6 days to Tilverton and the same or more to Suzail, barring any problems. And you'd have to take all you supplies, The are no places from Mistledale to Tilverton to stop at and are birtually nothing until you cross the Storm Horns either. Though you might find a merchant on the road, you can't be sure that what he is carrying can helo you out."

"Hope that helps you out a bit."

For one brief moment time stood still. As Clint lifted his cap, a small furry brown body with a narrow snout, round pink ears and beady black eyes stared up at the Ranger. Then there was a flurry of feet and a naked pink tail and the meadow mouse dove for it hole in the ground. That was the only animal encounter Clint was to have for the night.

As the sky lightened in the east a small body stirred, the covers twisted and turned and finally a head come out from under them. Tussled golden hair fell into the teen's face, which she blew back with a tongue directed breath.

"Chilly," she said and then ducked back under the blanket for what seem minuted of rustling about until the the blankets came up and then she let them drop. She stood in a new outfit and then stepped out of the pile of bedding.

She blew a couple of breaths is the brisk morning air, watching it coalesce into vapor.

"Cloud making," she stated look over her shoulder seeing he was watching.

"Now, time for breakfast." She reaches into a bag and pulls out a pot that was to big for it. More amazing is the fact that steam is rising from it.

"Oops." what follows is a table, chairs, untensiles and then she sets the pot onto the table. Picking up a ladle she begins to bang the side of the pot.

"Wakey, Wakey, Breakfast is waiting." Zara then goes to Dae's and Oko's beds and yanks the coverings off them.

Looking about she sees the veil of darkness and walks into it. Moments later she comes out. "Wow, is she in a mood, she must be real tired."

Topic: Garayon - Reign of Darkness
Subject: Alea

Alea listens as the others speak, it was in her nature to be reserve thus seeming to be withdrawn. She had dedicated her life to Corellon, not in the way that she abrogated all control of her life to him, but that she kept to herself. It was not the Elves way to proselytize, and these were not Elves. For decades she lived quietly doing those things that perfected what was good in Elven life, arts, crafts, singing, playing instruments, caring for flora and fauna. being what Corellon himself personified.

Since this adventure started, she had been at a loss. She had never been out of the everons of Elvenforest, now she was in human lands dealing with things she had never seen, or heard of. Most Elves were trained with sword and bow, but for Alea they were not first and foremost in her life, yet now they were all she had to keep herself and others alive, that and her ability to heal, even if it was very limited.

Alea's worst fear was coming to a point when she only had enough healing to save one of her compatriots. Actually she had fell that her skill were not up to the needs the group hwas facing since all this conflict began.

As the Dwarf spoke, Alea listened to his words, she could not yet use detect evil to aid her in knowing the that of a person, if she had they might have never been tricked by the supposed Wisewoman at Southpoint. Siliwen woulfd have never been marked and they would not have been harrassed across the island as they traveled to the Grey Mountains.

A dwarf comes rushing into the group and whispers to the leader who nods and gestures to his men, “We have company. A group of Kree approach, we must leave. I suggest you come with us, maybe we can aid each other.”

Without waiting for a reply, the dwarves turn and head off towards the peaks.

(assuming again the party goes with them, after gathering their things)

At least some trust held sway as the band followed the Dwarves further into the mountains.

They follow the dwarves as they make an easier path through the rocks for the party and their mounts. They move up through a ravine till just shortly past dawn when the dwarves uncover a hidden cavern which they gestured the group into as they themselves entered.

They find a large cavern, big enough for all of them and their mounts, which looks like it is used a lot as a resting/hiding place since there are makeshift stables, with hay, grain and water, some cots, tables and chairs. As they enter the dwarves are moving about lighting torches and as soon as everyone is inside, the entrance closes again; a large stone moved into place by an intricate set of counterweights and levers.

“Make yourselves at home,” the leader says, “You look like you need rest. It will be safe here. I suggest you get some sleep, the night was not kind to you and you will need your strength for the coming battle.”

"Thank you," Alea takes her horse over the the makeshift stalls, untacks hime except for his halter, which she has been leaving on under the bridle. When her horse in untacked and groomed she goes back to the Dwarf who seemed in command.

"If any need healing I have some powers of healing still available and when that is gone I have bandages and salves."
