'So here and now did Xour make this vow to join with Brinna and Lorae to SDeek the Dark One, in his own words for "as long as there is life in these limbs. breath in this body, and strength in these arms, I will stand at your side, I will watch your back, I shall accompany you to the ends of this world or any other to help put this evil to rest."

Then while still looking at her he says in a more subdued manner, "That is if you will have me."

Xour then lets go of Brianna's hand and feeling just slightly uncomfortable at his release of emotion grabs his cup and finishes his coffee as he waits for a response from Brianna.

Maybe it was the tingling that caused the sudden withdrawl of his hand, and as he lifts his hand to drink from his cup, he notices a green glow eminated from both his hand and suffuse up his arm and throughout his body, and even though he could not see the green glow that flushed from his skin under his clothing, he felt a warm comforting presence sweep through him.

A voice fills his being.

Subject: Elessarae

Before she left the gravesite, Elessarae went over to the Priest and waited until he had finished speaking to another.

“Holy Priest of Solinari, I would ask a couple of questions of you.” Elessarae quickly explains about Wulf and the merging into the tree. “Would you have any idea what transpired?”

Before she departs the presence of the priest she hands him the list of the dead and where they were found. Then she asks the Priest for a special prayer for her mother.

She showed no disappointment when the Priest could not explain what had happen with Wulf, nor when he said that it would take a mage to read the magics on the gear. Elessarae moves among those that came to mourn and asks if there is a druid among them. She needs a druid to do three things, speak to Comrade and to the willow if possible, and maybe to find out something of why the fairies attacked Comrade

Then the group headed back to the inn, Elessarae took comfort in the company of the Khords and Comrade. Even though she had cried her eyes dry, sadness still lingered, sadness that went beyond the dead in the village. In two days, and maybe even one, as Elessarae did not know how much time had passed after the party had gone unconscious, her mother funeral would take place.

As he started in Thondrek spoke up with the simple question likely resting on all their minds. "So, where to next?"

“No where right now.” replies Geim shortly. “We, Khords and the lassie here have not eaten nor rested since yesterday early I am going to clean up, eat and rest in that order. I will follow the lassie wherever she needs to go but I think there are some here that no longer have the same goals. Perhaps they should think about leaving and we will find others to take their place since they can’t seem to share the good with that bad.

Elessarae was surprised by the Geim’s words to his party members, she did not know them enough to say anything, and at his stated lack of expectations for Draven, Elessarae thought that that sort of fit what she had observed of the man when he came into the inn.

Geim told Malius the Elven Ranger, “...You should have been there, they were your people.”

“And you Alyssia, where were you during all of this? Alyssia, you use to be a sensible lass and a real trooper....”

All three of you off on your own pursuits with never a thought for the rest of us left taking care of everything.”

“It fair shakes my faith in each of you and I’d just as soon continue on without ye than with ye.” Geim paused then. It needed saying and right now he did not care how it came out.

“Now I am going in and getting a drink perhaps several drinks then eat and rest, and those of you who did not help can get going to wherever you want.”

Loda, Thondrek, Lassie, you need to rest and eat too. I’ll fix us something up for us all." Geim did not look back at the other three who had absented themselves from the collection and burial of the bodies of all those in Hith Elee.

"Come inside all of ye," he gestures to the Khords and the Bladesinger and turned his back on the others.

”I have to take care of Comrade, I will be right in.”

Then Alyssia piped up, “Geim, I would have helped, but my Goddess wished other things of me, once that was complete I wandered the streets mourning and praying for the loss of this city. In prayer I do not wish to be disturbed. My Goddess has other plans for me than what you think is right Geim."

Odd, thought Elessarae, of all the long hours they spent gathering the dead she never saw the young woman wandering the streets in prayer. Though they did find the house where the occupants had been set outside, as they where laid out and not just found crumpled in the streets like all the others found outside their homes. And when she and Geim went to check out the house the door was locked. (I would assume you did not want to be disturbed.)

It seemed Draven was finally roused to speak, “Pardon. Please the two of you. I have only one question. Since when were we hired by Sylvaria? Since when do we dig the graves of other nations? If you choose to do their work for them, then I commend you for caring so damn much. But I assure you. I assure you very much that I’ve looked over the contract that I signed for a Mister Guland Granitefingers…Perhaps you recall him? Maybe not…well let me remind you. He’s the Khord that we do work for. Now I just can’t seem to find the part that says it’s my duty to help the kingdom of Sylvaria. In fact, I recall being told to travel with haste through this kingdom. I apologize, but as a hired sword, I just can’t seem to find that part in my job description.”

He paused and glanced over the party, then locked his unnatural eyes with Geim’s.

“You, sir, should perhaps read your contract once more, before setting out to help other’s and expecting that we should all do the same.”

Turning back to the door, and pushing it open, he glances back at the party again.

“Now that this whole business is settled, I for one would like to see to my obligations and do the job I was hired to do. I for one, don’t break a contract.”

Giving a half bow, he adds what must have been a mock “Pleasant evening to you all”, before heading out into the abandoned village.

Decency and common respect are a unwritten contract, among most good people. From what the young Bladesinger had seen of Draven, Being Good was far from what he was. She wondered if the burning scar had anything to do with the way he came off to others, self-centered and laissez-faire.

As the Ranger watched Geim and his fellow Khords walk away he caught the look of sadness in Elessarae eyes as she looked to him and then turned away to follow the rest. Malius could only assume it was due to his lack of help burying the dead and did not move after her to explain.

How could he know that she not only mourned the dead here but the death of her mother who had died defending the helpless in Sillarion against the attack of Maous in the Elven Capital itself, and that she had made the decision to stay with the group and continue the quest she had been sent on instead of returning to the capital for her mother’s funeral.

At the stable Elessarae give Comrade a good rubdown with some liniment she found and then stuffed a hay net full of good meadow grass and scooped out some grain in a bucket and carried those back to the inn so Comrade could eat too. This time when Comrade entered the inn he had to duck his head and follow behind Elessarae as the two of them could not enter side by side. (Are all the horses in the stable dead, the adventures’ horses? I might have to add something to the post if they are dead or alive.)

Dinner was quiet, and simple, Elessarae had one mug of ale with her dinner, but no more.

“In the morning I would like to go out to the tree before we go. Also we need to go to the largest city her in the North, I need to have my CLW wand recharged and I think a good use of the group’s money would be to purchase a Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds. I have a feeling we will need such to keep us viable.”

“I also wish to start out with you by being honest in why I was sent to join you.” She looks about those who are there eating, Geim, Loda, Thondrek, Malius.

“I am not sure why you are going into the Chakran Mountains, but I was sent from Megilindar Nost, to find out what the Goblins are doing up there. The Goblins are responsible for bringing the poison into Sylvaria that has cause all the problems with the mutated animals the the sick trees, but I have come to feel that there is a darker menace behind this attack. The creation of such a devastating brew that was used to contaminate the trees seems to be well beyond what Goblin’s are capable, also the depth of planning for such a thing is more that what Goblins could normally formulate.”

(More to come later after this is replied to.)

Kas sat down and remained quiet. As others of the group danced and chapped, she just watched a listened. At one point her opened her harp case and drew it out. Her hand lovingly caressed the beatuifully carvel lap harp. It had been carves out of a single pieces of golden heart wood, though first it was sung into its initiale shape by an elven Woodmaster, capable of the art of woodsinging. The main piece of the harp was the upright in the form of a sinuous dragon whose body, feet and tail become the main structure of the harp. the Dragon was wound through a forest of trees of all type; ash, oak, pine, spurce, holly and rowan bushes and cleverly hidden in the tress were animals; deer, bear, wolf, fox, owl, eagle, and more. Kas knew there were others she had not yet located all of them, such was the skill of the master craftsman who carved it.

She remembered her great joy at receiving it, on her 120th birthday, but for the life of her she could not remember who had given it to her. She stated to finger the strings blending her harping with the musicians that was being played for the dancers. She woven intricate harmonies to the music they played. Kas sought to losose herself in her harping, it had always been a balm to her when she was troubled, and she was troubled, for she had a great hole in her memory and she was becoming very aware of it.

The same strong fingers that could grsp a sword in battle not produced beautiful music. One thing Kas did know, she had always wanted to be a Bard, but something, now lost in the emptiness of her mind had changed that and sent her down the path of a warror.

Kas thanked Loriel for her help and after the dress was on and pulled down, she did a girlish twirl. It fit well, a but formfitting about the chest and waist but beautiful all the same.

"I love it, Thank you." The last thing she does is put on the new holy symbol. It went perfectly with the dress. It was not tha she was unused to dresses but the type she has worn were more loose fitting like a greek chiton. This one did nothing to hid her womanly endowments, though her waist was small her breasts were full and high.

She belted on a dagger at least and then took up a satchel with her musical instruments.

So it was that Kas, a bit self-conscious, descended the stairs to the common room after locking their windows and door.

Kas made one purchase at the temple, she purchased a holy symbol with a silver symbol of the hammer and the scales of Tyr on a cabochon of lapis, all backed by silver. She also took the time to heal herself with a CMW and a CLW, She all dropped 2gp and 4 so of her other world gold into a donation bowl. She then left the temple went back to the inn. There Bart gave her, her share of the loot. Kas immediately headed out to where she could get magic on her bastard sword, while that was being done she searched the weapon’s shops for a mighty composite long bow, which she found in a shop run by a half-elf bowyer of considerable talent.

Returning to the room she was to share with Loriel, Kas found the elf in a bath,

When Kas enters Loriel looks up from her bath, “ I have a gift for you it is on the bed. I hope you like it.” Wrapped in paper on her bed is a package that is not heavy or hard. Opening it Kas fine a silken gown of royal blue with silver embroidery around the neck and sleeves that were long and tight fitting in an elven style. It clung close to the breasts and waist but at the hips it flared into a sweeping skirt. “Try it on. I had to guess your size but I think it will fit you if not you can get it altered to fit by the.

Loriel got up out of the bath. “The water is still hot I just was rinsing off after giving Moonshadow a bath. So it is your now. I am going to get dressed after I dry my hair by the fire.”

Kas did just that, she undressed quickly and neatly folded her clothes. From her backpack she took a towel and a bar of flowery smelling soap, the scent of lavender and lily of the valley filled the room. Kas carefully got into the water. The healing she had done was not enough to close all her wounds, especially the one in her side that had been stitched up.

She just soaked for a bit before washing herself being careful around her wounds. She had to was her hair with one hand, because she did not dare rise her arm to high on her wounded side.
She went to the fire to dry, wrapped in a towel.

“Loriel, once I finish brushing my hair would you do a French braid from the crown of my head to the nape of my neck? Normally I could do it myself, but I do not want to break open my stitches. I do have some blue ribbon to braid into it to help tie it off.”

She went to the table where they would sit and take up a seat that allowed her to look out of the large window into the eternal night of space.

Subject: Elessarae

The young Bladesinger said not a word when she found that only the Khords remained to help deal with the dead. It seemed the Khords were easier with the idea of burying the dead, Thondrek and Loda teamed up to dig the mass grave, no mean feat in itself, leaving Geim, the Runemaster to aid her in collecting the dead.

Elessarae first looked for a wagon, which would make their job easier. Finding a wagon was easier than she thought, as there was one in the back of the inn, but there was not an animal alive in the village, so there was no draft animal to pull it. Help can from as unexpected source. As Elessarae lifted the harness and looked at it for a way to use it so that Geim and she could pull the wagon, Comrade came forward and nosed her and the harness. It took her a bit to understand what he was trying to tell her with his antics. When he finally slipped his head under a piece of harness she realized what it was. Elessarae was hesitant at first, horses had to be trained to wear a harness and to pull, and Comrade, until a few hours ago, was years from that. She had never harnessed a horse before, but had seen enough in harness to figure it out. She did not put the bit in his mouth but hastened the reins to his halter. For the most part she would walk with him and not sit in the drives seat and drive him, that way she could help pull on the shafts to make it easier for him.

“Geim, would you sort of push from behind to help him get started. I do not want him to get jerked by the weight of the wagon as he starts off.”

(Reply)

So it was that Geim and Elessarae moved about the village gathering the dead, including those animals that Elessarae though might be pets. They tried to keep families together, Pieces of colored yarn that she found in one house helped them keep track of those who would be buried side by side. When she found her first dead child, tears began to fall, She could not bear to put the children into the cold earth staring out with dead eyes, so she wrapped every child in a blanket or cloak and tried to find a toy to wrap up with them. Back and forth they went until the dark was deep and the night well in the way to morning. Elessarae sang as her lead Comrade with his sacred load through the night. Sometimes she sang the Sylvari Hymn of Passing, then children’s songs and songs of love and devotion.

With the cart rolling behind them, the Sylvari Bladesinger and the Khordaldrum Runemaster went on a grim tour through the village. Geim proved to be a sturdy worker, with strong hands and an endless stamina. Elessarae opened up to be a persistent spirit, handling the dead with an admirable compassion. They made a good team. Sometimes Elessarae took hold ot the shafts and help Comrade to pull.

Riding back and forth to the mass grave Thondrek and Loda were creating, they brought the deceased and gently lay them side by side into the earth. It was deep in the night when the last body was placed. They would have to wait with covering them up until the morning came, when Quilanday would return with a Sylvari priest.

Elessarae had wept her eyes dry. As the last body was placed she took the wagon back to the inn and unharnessed Comrade and rubbed him down, before grabbing small keg and 4 mugs and carrying it back to the grave site, along with her harp.

She played for the Khords and the dead. As the sky lightened Elessarae asked if one of the Khords would go with her to the tree. There she gathers a seedling, and hopes it is one of the white willow’s.
“Adaron, let this be a child of the tree.” She gathers a ball of earth with it and carries it back to the gravesite.

And so it happened. When dawn addressed itself with a cold fog and bleak sunlight, the sound of hooves was unmistakable. Lady Quilanday had returned. She had taken remarkably little time to come back to the village, crossing the forest in unnatural speed to return so soon. With her rode a Sylvari man, dressed in the authentic garment of the Eyes of the Blazing sun. An aura of positivity radiated from the cleric, but his face looked disturbed. When he slid from Quilanday’s horse he stumbled slightly and muttered softly: “Give me a minute.”

Quilanday smirked, and winked at the companions.
“It takes some time to get used to my horseback skills.”

Then she noted the big hole in the ground, and fell back into more serious tones, “I am glad to see all of you here, and I want to thank you for the work you’ve done while I was away. I have brought a priest of Solanis, so that we can grant these people their well deserved rest.”

The priest stepped closer, still a little shaky. “Good morning to all of you. I have heard great things about you, and it is an honour to be in your presence. I am Yugan of Solinari, the Radiant Father.”

Yugan wasted no time on words, and set off to the mass grave, to start preparations for the blessing and burial of the dead.. Soon, the fog covering the forest ground became scented; a spiced but fresh smell that cleared the heads of those who breathed it in.

Then the priest stood at the heads of the dead villagers and muttered a prayer to his god. He paced around the grave and repeated the prayer at each side. After uttering the peaceful words of his god on every angle, he fell into a soft humming. But his voice grew steadily, and with its rising strength, the fog departed, and the sun grew brighter. Its rays were reflected in the mirrors, he had set in the four side of the grave, intensified. Four beams of light came together in the midst of the grave, and bathed the dead in a soothing warmth.

It was then that Yugan motioned the companions to aid him in covering the bodies with sand. When the grave was fully covered, the priest sang his prayer to Solanis one last time, but this time he was not alone.

From the forest came a procession of Sylvarians, dressed in long robes. They were people from surrounding villages, carrying a candle each. They stepped slowly, voices in union, full of respect and sorrow. They had come to bury a town.

Elessarae moves to the edge of the grave and nods reverently to Yugan. She carried with her the seedling, and move up the mound to place it over the center of the grave. She knelt and dug a hole in the loose earth with her own hands and placed the seedling into it. Tears flowed again falling on the seedling and the ground it was planted in.

“This is for the Sylvari of Hith Elee and for Aluwego and Wulf,” she named the dead that she knew, then she adds another name, “and others, Aleetha,” She backs down off the mound and moves back to Comrade’s side, taking comfort from his presense as she leanied against his now massive shoulder and neck of a full grown stallion.

As others prepare to leave the gravesite Elesssarae goes to Yugan. “I am Lady Elessarae, a Bladesinger. There are a couple of things I would like to ask you before you go, when you have time.”

Later that day, Quilanday gathered the companions and took them into a private area. There she handed them a leather pouch, containing gems who’s combined value reached 6000 GP. For each of the heroes she had an individual Fire Opal, worth 1000 GP.

“I had told you Sylvaria would be generous. And here is something to show My gratitude,” she added, and handed the heroes a small leather chest, which contained six potions. “I know you will need these if you’re traveling into the Chakran Mountains. May you return safely.”

She took Elessarae aside for a minute and whispered: “You make sure to find out what those Goblins are up to. We must punish them for what they have already done to our empire!”

After that she said her goodbyes to each of them individually, knowing that it would be a very long time before she would see any of them again.

“Fair thee well, Lady,” Elessarae replies to her.

She hitches it to the wagon and drives it back to the inn to pick up the others who said they would help. (I am assuming that since Comrade survived a sonic roar, that a cart horse, somewhere in the village may had survived.)

"We will have to check for pets and livestock that may have survived," she says to whoever is there to join in her in the grim task of collecting the dead. She notices the absence of the dark warrior with the burning scar.

While they are gathering the dead Elessare will also borrow clothing as what she is wearing is her last set of clothing that she brought from the Bladesingers' Keep.

As Kasennarion stood in awe at the splendor of the largest temple in Castle Tethyr, A man donned in the silver and blue robes of the order stepped forth from a side chamber. Noticing the woman standing there in bewilderment he approached.

“Blessings upon you child, and welcome, have you come for confession, or another matter of Faith?”

It took a moment for the words to register and Kas to look upd. "Faith, good sir." replied Kas nodding in deference to the man. "Could you show me to the High Alter."

Kas then follows the man to a dias of 5 steps up to a massive stone block with a bas relief carving of a war hammer with scales balanced on it head.

Kas climbs the step in reverence and once there take out her weapons and places them on the alter. She did not as the priest for permission, or to do it for her. Tyr had come to her and now she came to him. Each weapon was placed with care and them Kas knelt, put her hands flat on the edge of the alter and dropped her forehead to the cool stone.

"I pledge my weapons and my life to your service, while I am within the realms of your world. You know that I served Pelor in my world, and should I return there I will again, but here and now I serve you."

"I will seek knowledge and guidance to better serve you. I have already fought minion of Bane, your enemy. I will continue to do so. For now I am promised to aid those would seek to route Orcs and Goblins for a human city. I believe this is something you would condone, as I would be serving justice and dealing retribution for that who have suffer for the Orcs and Goblins possesesions of the city and the area around it."

This was said aloud with reverence and sincerity, the rest of Kas's commune with Tyr was silent, between her and him. Center to it was her consternation that she could not remember a vast part of her early life, centered around her family and home.

When her words were said and worries conveyed Kas stood and gathered up her weapons.

Now, it was time to head back to the village of Hith Elee, to find their horses and left gear. But how would they transport Alluwego, the young archer, who had been the sole survivor of the attack on his home village? He had perished under the sonic attack of one of the lizards, and his body was stiffening quickly.

Most of them stripped, as Elessarae advised, of the cloths that had been touched by the goo. Draven however, choose to wear the filth as if it wasn’t there. His black garment was soaked with already drying mucus, but apparently he would rather risk infection than show what they had all caught a glimpse off.

The moment Draven appears in his goo soaked clothing, Elessarae moves towards him and at the same time gives Alyssia a long look.

“You must get out of those clothes, they are contaminated, wearing them you will be contaminated also, there is not telling what will happen to you, and what is already happened to you because of the poisonous tree.” She pulls off her own cloak, the one that had been given her when she had had to burn her own clothes back at the nameless village. She hands it to him and knows that she had seen the beginning of a terrible scar on his chest. Why a warrior would be ashamed of a scar she had no idea, but Draven seemed a dark sort, so his secret was still his, she looks over to Alyssia, and Alyssia’s, given how she had acted so strangely just because Elessarae was trying to get Draven out of his goo soaked clothing.

Still, they had to go back, and so they retrieved their steps leading towards the village. A stone throw away from the open field in the forest they found Elessarae’s companion, Comrade, the young moonhorse. He looked healthier than she had seen him in a long time. He seemed older too, as if he had matured by whatever force had given new life to the white willow and its surroundings. Malius’ ferrets also showed up here, returning from a safe hiding place they had escaped to during the battle. Now they were complete once more, and they could continue their journey back.

Elessarae throws her arms around Comrade and buries her face in his neck. “Thank you, Adaron, Solinari....” This was not longer the colt that had been left in her keeping. Thought not at the height of maturity, Comrade had become a young adult. Elessarae remembered how Comrade had acted when she had gotten the black mare to replace Gharion, Comrade had not taken to her as he did to the gelding. Elessarae had wondered what was behind his behavior, at one point thinking he was jealous of the mare being ridden by Elessarae instead of him.

As they return she walked close to the young stallion. When Malisus’s ferrets come scampering back she smiled at the Ranger knowing how he felt at their return.

The trees seemed full of life again, but the further they went from the willow, the less evident the changes became. Birds still flew overhead, but their songs didn’t sound as clear or full of joy. The pressure of pollution still lay thick over the forest. It would take quite a while before the woods were as full of life as they had once been.

The town of Hith Elee had not changed at all. Bodies of dead Sylvari lay scattered across the streets, some violated by the big lizards, some as if they would soon awake from a deep sleep. But all of them were stiff and cold, and the idea that one of the town-folk still lived seemed more unlikely with each passing minute. It was at the Solanis Paean Inn, that Lady Quilanday announced her departure.

Returning to the inn Elessarae looks about at the dead and knows they will have to be taken care of.

“I will come back tomorrow, and with me I will carry the reward that was promised you for your aid in this battle. For now, I believe there is work to be done in this village, and I am sorry that I cannot aid you in giving my kin a proper burial. But please know how thankful I am, and with me the good people of Sylvaria.”

” Bring a priest if you can and someone to watch over the village until others can come to claim it. May Solinari and Adaron watch over you. The young Bladesinger bids Lady Quilanday a safe journey as she climbed on her horse and rode off into the forest without looking back.

Comrade follows Elessarae into the inn and as all are assembled she turns to them. “I think all of use should bathe, whether or not you believe you were contaminated. Then I must do what I can for the dead,” she says, “I ask for your help in located and collecting the dead. Should we find any in their home we should leave a note of how many and what sex and age and anything of value that they are wearing should be left in their home. As for any others found out and about their sexes and ages should be noted as well as their valuables collected, so someone will need to do the job of a scribe.” Elesssarae looks around to the others.

“I believe the best way to deal with all the dead is to build a mass pyre. If any of you have any other suggestions, please share it.”

Kas goes outside, normally she would jump into the saddle, but today, with her side still throbbing and the stitches already partly pulled out she signals Sunfire to kneel and steps carefully into the saddle.

She is glad for the money, for all she had was a few coins, and they were from another world.

Kas follows the directions and when she gets close and can no longer see over the tops of the building she just asks one of the town’s people.

The Constable was not kidding about the size of the place. In some ways it rivaled the castle, until this moment when she rode into the open square before the great edifice, she had no idea just what position Tyr held in the hierarchy of the deities of this world. From what she saw Tyr held a high position here in the city. Over the tall massive double doors was a statue of Tyr, in form it was much like the god that had visited her. An aged bearded blind warrior of great stature and strength. In his left hand was a long sword, point down, the right wrist of his handless arm rested on the cross hilt of the sword. Hanging at his hip was a hammer. At his feet was a set of balance scales.

Kas dismounted, by having Sunfire kneel again and after she was off she signaled him to rise, then she let Sunfire's reins drop to the ground, he would stay there unless attacked, or if Kas never returned he would find food and water. She had brought him up from birth. At times he was more than a war trained mount; he had become her silent confidant.

Kas slowly mounted the steps to the wide landing before the door the, as she drew near she brace to open them, but found as she began to push, that they moved easily. The thought came to her that Dwarves might have had a hand in building this temple.

It was not austere and plain, it was not ornate and gaudy. The Temple had about it a powerful elegance with sense of purpose, a place of warriors and place for justice.

Kas moved forward over the magnificent marble floors taking it all in. As far as the temple itself she was in awe, but it could not compare with her visitation from Tyr himself.

Toward the front to the temple she stopped and took it all in almost mesmerized by the ambiance of the hallowed halls.

She had no idea how long she stood in silence.

"My name is Kasenarrion Sunblade, I am not from around here and I know you have never heard of the place." In truth Kas could not remember the name of her home, or even where it was along with everthing one should know about their family. All these were a giant void in her mind. Certainly she was not of this world since Pelor was not a Deity here.

Kas pulls out the journal she started, as in her divine indoctination into the worship of Tyr, she understood that clerics and such were to keep a journal of all their actions so that that could have their actions judged by the hiearchy of the Temple.

So it was she read from the journal the story of her arrival and the Banites at the bridge. Then the story of the man who had his wife and child taken, and their rescue of them from the cavern complex along with the Banite witch and the Ogres and Orcs that had been using the caves for a hiding place. She even handed him a map to the place with the appropriate directions and landmarks. She gives the names of the farmer and family, should the man wish to cooberate the story. Finally she tells of the attack that went on outside while they were in rescuing the child. She then added that Jared Black and 2 others had attacked her comrades while they were camping a resting, intend of thievery and mayhem, even threating the rape of one of the other females of the group.

It was not her place to judge, but she took the time to turn to Jared Black.

"We are all placed in positions where we must make a choice for Good or Evil, for Law or Chaos, and Right or Wrong. I do not know all of you story or doings so I can not judge you."

"I am sorry that you made the wrong choice."

As she said she would Kas looks back to the officer, "Sir, I would like to say that Master Black, she used a polite form of address, for there was not reason not too, "did immediately end his hostilities and give his parole to me in the name of Tyr.

Ash greeted to others as a whole, but noted all their names.

"I am Ash, Paladin of Corellon and like him I have training as a Ranger and a Bard." If one listened carefully they might not the questioning in her voice, as if she wondered why an Elf was sent to deal in Human matters.

As Needlemire mentions rooming arrangements, Ash immediately look to the Elf who called herself Amiri. "I would be honored if you share a room with me," Ash says to Amiri, "If you do not mind sharing it with a slightly cumbersome cat."

Ash pets the Cath Shee's head and ruffles the long hair of his ears.

At Amiri acceptance they head off to the room for the night. Ash spends part of her evening in prayer, Puts her own sheets and blankets on the bed before changing out of her clothes and then sliding into bed naked. Andaron, to big and way to heavy slept on the floor, but put his head on the pillow that Ash had set at the edge of her bed for him.

Ash was up before dawn and quickly dressed and donned her armor.

She ate breakfast with Amiri, who was also an early riser. after gathering up all their equipment, ready to take off for the day.

(Action at breakfast.)

As they exited the inn they were approached by a young woman with a hawk. As she asked of a female to handle the hawk, Ash stepped forward. She had left her Eagle Owl at home, not thinking the falcon would be needed where she was going and what she thought she might be doing. Anyway is was breeding season and Sasha was ready to mate.

"I will take her." Ash reaches into a side pouch on her belt and pulls out a beautiful falconry gauntlet, the leather was a soft gray and highly decorated with colorful enbroidery. The back of the hand and the main wrist covering were of a heavier nature, enough to withstand the talons of a large bird of prey.

"What is her favorite food?" Ash goes on asking about the care of this particular bird, as all birds were different.

Subject: Ash AKA Asheera

Panon Panaw clapped Needlemire good naturedly on the shoulder, smiled another sparkling eyed smile at Asheera, then turned away from Needlemire and with his left arm coyly resting on Asheera's right shoulder; the Cleric began looking at no one in particular, yet at everyone in the room who was eating or drinking before announcing matter of factly, "So who has the time and inclination to join us on a quest to deliver the downtrodden?"

Asheera allows the hand there briefly and the bends over to pat Andaron and when she straightens she is a step away from the presumptuous man. Being among human society was going to be strange. Even the use of a short form of her name was different, as it was usually used only by family members. She had thought of making up an entirely different name, but that might be to confusing, and dangerous if she was not quick enough to recognize the made up name. At least her short name was easier to say than Asheera’rae’endilara and that was just her first name. Her mother must have been in a poetic mood when naming her. Her father, by contrast was a man who enjoyed simplicity, his name for her was much more brief, Ash and she liked it better that Asheera. She decided then and there to introduce herself as Ash.

Ash looked about the common room and noted certain people looking up with more than a casual interest in what Panon had announced, a number of those were Elves, which was strange indeed for what would interest Elves in the disappearance of the human flotsam and jetsam of the city. More, too, what would have caused the High Temple of Corellon to send her to deal with the problem. She had been utterly surprised when she was told that she was to go into the human lands. So it was that Asheera’rae’endilara Lore’en’isilmarion Aure’ en’dracar was given the duty of going to Thyatis City to the Temple of Khoronus.

It had been a long journey, fraught with dangers. It was not the forests or the wilds that posed problems, not the Ocrs, Goblins and monsters that were her constant opponents, but the lawless peoples of the human lands. How could humans live like this? Humans preying of humans, let alone all the others that suffered from human attacks.

Subject: Loriel

I, the player, am thoowing this out for thoughts please think about it. I am a team player but in all truth Loriel was the only one who took the risks and went into that room with the statues to take the shield and spear. They were not a part of the groups actions only hers. Now I don't know how some of you feel about this but I am just bringing it up. That she shared what she took with others is her way, but it doesn't negate the fact that it was she alone that took them and no one helped or went in there with her.

Now Loriel would agree to sell the spear as none of us could afford losing points like that and especially not on a critical it would kill most of us. Then we can divide the spear proceeds. However she thinks the shield is way too valuable to the group to sell and we would not likely get it full value in this place. She feels she has the right to keep the shield and let Artanis have it to use. She is of a mind that this small group is going to need all the extras they can find to help them later on. That she hasn't found anything so far that will really aid her is just the way it is. She hopes a bow is found or arrows that are magical that she can use.

Loriel, in game play, agrees to sell the extra armor and stuff after Artanis has her pick of things, to help Artanis to restock and supply herself, lend her money as necessary, keep the things that can help the group like the shield and wand and any potions left and with some money buy potions expecially antitoxins and healing potions or better still a wand of healing.

Kas querries the guards at the gate for the location of the local constabulary. She looks to Bart, "I will rejoin you as soon as I have taken care of things."

Those things were dropping off Jared Black and locating a temple to Tyr.

Kas rides up to the place and jumps off her horse and waits till Jared dismounts. She looks to the man as he stands beside Sunfire.

"I hope that in your misguided banditry that you never cause grievous injury or death. This much I can do for you and that is to state that you willingly ceeased hostilities and gave me you parole in the name of Tyr."

With that she take Jared into the designated office.

(Any RP)

Just before she leaves she asks it there is a temple to Tyr in the city.

I would think your war horse would be taller. 15 hands is only 2 inches taller than a large pony. Most breeds of horses used for warhorses are 16-18 hands and could have been bigger.

From a lady that owns 8 horses and one of the is of an ancient breed used as a war horse in Europe, a Friesian.

Subject: Asheera

Asheera watches and Panon makes his acquaintances to Andaron and Isil. There was something to be said that Andaron did not lay back his ears or give a slight snarl of warning. All the while Isil was watching and it seemed to Asheere that her Paladin's mount approved of the man for when a hand of introduction was placed before him he grace the Paladin with a touch of his velvety muzzle on his palm.

Asheera took the man's arm with the inborn grace of an Elf and all the demeanor of a lady. She matched stride with the man and as they turn to go to this place Needlemire's Nest, the cat and the "horse" fell in behind with no one leading them.

Asheera's face held a half smile as most of the town folk quickly sidled over and out of the way of the cat. In a Elven city, be it in the trees or on the ground, Cath Shee's and Cooshees abounded, there were the Elves equivalent of dogs and cats. Oh, the did had that smaller common domestic type, but they favored the big animals. Walking in an Elven city was like walking in a wild animal park with no fences between the people and the animals.

The was a Druid geas on the animals in the Elven cities, all could walk is safety and no hunting was allowed, no people after animals, no animals after people, and no animals after animals. Many a rabbit ran into the cities for safety.

Asheera did her best to hide her reaction to the "smells" of a human city. She had smelled it more than 5 miles from its gates and she was not even downwind of it.

She enter into some small talk with Hammer, basically asking about the city and himself. By the time they reach Needlemire's Nest Panon will find he had done most of the talking, while he has learned little from his charming companion. When they reach the place, Asheera looks about for a stable for the patrons' horses, which turns out to be at the back of the inn. Asheers give Andaron a hand signal, the big cat stops and sits. No need to scare all the horse should they see him or catch scent of him, that that is was a scent anyone would notice.

A stable boy comes out to greet them and take the stallion.

"Ev'n My Lady, My Lord. If your staying the night that'ill be 5 silver, if your only drinking and then leaving that be 2 silver, you pay inside."

"I was told that the food and the rooms were the best in town." Asheera looks to Panon.

"That they are My Lady," the boy touched his forehead in a common gesture of respect. "My uncle runs it, and my ma is head cook, you can't get better any where in the city."

"Well that is praise enough for me," Asheera says with a chuckle, a merry bubbling laughter that filled the air with a sweet sound that brought on the vision of sunlit waters dancing over the rocks in a stream.

She fished into a coin purse at her side and pulled out a coin. “Here is a silver for a good grooming. He likes the area right where his chest and neck meet really brushed well.”

When Isil was lead away Asheera, allows Panon to lead her into the establishment.

(Enter Panon and Asheera.)
