I am assuming that Mac will go along with Kel and post for that, so the other Roms can post.

True to her nature she immediately changes tack. "Moraglin why ask for a vote, you have the ring of the prince so you have every right to be here."

"And Oko, I am sure Moraglin just wanted to feel us out, I mean she might not have liked us. Maybe she did not really know why Alex did not ride out with us, I am sure she did not want us to think Alex was too afraid to go on."

Looking back to Alex, "I am sure Alex had a reason."

"Now, does anyone need anything more to eat?"

As far as things went Zara had accept what was without question.

"If not I will pack up the food."

Elessarae sees Malius charge to attack the Goblin. Without saying a word, Loda, Malius, Geim and even Thorn are doing one of the things she had hoped they would do. With their blades aglow with Kharox's blessing, now was the best time to strike.

She charges forward to the Goblin holding her blade in a defensive position until the last moment and then she strikes for the ax, her one goal for now is to remove the ax from the goblin's grasp.

She aims to use all the strength of her body and the tricks of her training to disarm the Goblin one way or another, as a last resort she will grab the haft of the weapon and wrest it from his grasp.

"For the Deities of Light and Good!" she cries as she make her feint charge.

Alea finds a plate and wholds it out to whoever is cutting the slabs of meat. She moves to join the others then takes out her dagger and begins to pull the meat apart, then stab chunks with the point of her knife.

"I hate to say it, but our horses are a dead give away, and the are much harder to hide. If what I have heard is true then the lands of the Dark One will not sustain them." "I was hoping things were not progressing so quickly, so that we might have time to speak to the Evlves of this island to find out what they are planning to do."

"I believe what we seek in the thing that this general holds, and the would mean getting close enough to him to take it from him."

"We have another problem and that is keeping Siliwen off the ground because the Kree can detect her when she is on it, would you have a pony she could ride, it would be smaller and easier to hide. That if the others are willing to leave their mounts."

I would not pay 2 cents for it even as scrap paper. It is not a step forward for D&D but a giant step off to the side and backward.

They took away my favorite class of Bard. They made everyone capable of magic. Why in G.....s name did they change the races like Elves and Halflings, as for the loss of the Gnomes, I never considered them a viable PC race anyhow.

What they did to Forgotten Realms was a travesity of epic proportion. They were just to d....n lazy to come up with a new word setting so they bastardized it changing its history and civilizations.

Eol don't waste you money buying it, find some sucker who did and read theirs.

It is my opinion of th 4E and I have played them all 1-4

While everyone was taaing up Zara made the kitchen disappear into ther bag. That done she went to tack her mount.

A bit rushed she did a simple clean spell to get rid of the dirt and dust the mule had picked up from laying down and she did the same for the pad before she placed the pad on the mule's broad back and reached for the saddle. Grasping the saddle she made to swing it up on her mount, but as she did the mule grabbed the pad and pulled it off. Putting down the saddle, she repeated the process, and so did the mule. Once more she tried to get him saddled and this time the the mule pulled off the pad and grabbed a brush from Oko's contained and shook in in front of Zara's face.

"Your clean." Zara fumed, but the mule did not stop flipping the brush in her face.

She tried again to put on the pad but the mule side stepped her efforts.

"Ok, ok, I will brush you."

She takes the brush from him and tosses it back into Oko's grooming bag. The mule goes to snatch it again.

"No, I have one of my own." she reaching into her bag ofholding and come out with a brush. He would not let Zara put away the brush until she had brushed every inch of his body and did extra on his chest, his whithers and right at the base of his tail. The face the mule made were of utter pleasure, His eyes closed, he stretched out his snext and his lips flapped in time to his flopping eats.

Finally he stood still and she got the pad on with the saddle and finished tacking out the mule.

"Ok, I am ready."

Alea woke in the quiet of the morning and made her Prayers to Corellon, asking for the same spells that she used before. The smell of food drew her from her meditations when they were done and she stood and joined the others to eat.

"We are not here to battle The Dark One's forces," she stated simply. "Our quest to to infiltrate the Dark One's hold and take from him that which he should not have. This battle could give us an advantage in that we will be least expected to gbe going into the Dark One's territory while it is going one."

"I believe Alacran spoke of this to us. He was hoping that a battle would give us the cover to allow us more freedom to move."

Coming to tell the Centurion nothing as to rectifications of the complaint, and then belittling her Second in Command, who was action under her orders--be glad you were not a Romulan Lt.

Hmmm I am liking Sienae more and more.

Topic: Star Trek: Operation Persephone
Subject: The Cenurion or The Incident of Fire and Ice

Stardate: 2374.09.06
USS Charon – Bridge – 16:10 hours

With a nod, Lt. Kennedy rose from his seat, secured the panels with his security code, and made his way to the turbo lift. From there, he made his way quickly to Shuttle Bay 2, where he proceeded past the security personnel directly inside. Within moments of receiving the complaint the lieutenant was standing a foot from the energy field, hands clasped behind his back, feet shoulder-width apart.

Before she stands she touches the comlink, "Computer record conversation."

Centurion,” Lt. Kennedy addressed Sienae, purposefully ignoring Lt. S’Talon now that a superior officer was present. “It is good to see you up and about. Captain Gavison wishes to extend his concern over your condition, and will be reviewing the doctor’s report as soon as it becomes available to see if there isn’t more that needs to be done. However, it is not for this that I find myself drawn from bridge duties.

Sienea stands where she is at, but does not approached Lt. Abe Kennedy, leaving a significant distance between them, in the space allotted. Her strange golden eyes swept over the Lieutenant’s figure staring though him like an eagle can for several seconds before gazing directly at him. She returned a salute he never gave.

“As to your statement that Captain Gavison wishes to extend his concern over my condition, I believe my medical condition is between the Dr Nash and myself.” That should have been Lt Kennedy’s first hint that things were not going to go his way.

“It appears that one of your staff have found our accommodations lacking; filing a complaint and thinking it appropriate to request that it be sent directly to Captain Gavison. I’m here to remind you and your staff that all communication is to go directly through me and my staff as Captain Gavison is very busy dealing with the investigation into the destruction of a Starfleet vessel—something, I’m sure you can attach the proper level of priority to even if your staffer cannot.”

“My Second-in-Command,” Sienae starts out as she catches S’Talon watching the proceedings, “did exactly what I ordered to be done,” though she seemed to be speak at a normal level, there was a rigidity to her body language and her words, Kennedy suddenly found that the air between them becoming electrically charged, “and he did so admirably.” With those words, Sienae let Star Fleet know that S’Talon was her second-in-command and that she accepted the responsibility for what he had done and might do.

Abe allowed his voice to contain just the right amount of ice as he continued in order to enforce his next statements, “We regret the situation that demands such accommodations as you are currently being forced to endure. However, the Charon is not a cruise line, nor is it a luxury vessel. We are a warship in a situation deserving of every precautionary measure that can be considered to protect all aboard the Charon. I’d heard that you were a militant people, so I expect that you’ll be understanding of what measures we’ve taken and not allow your staff to waste my time, or yours, with additional frivolous complaints. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve duties that require my presence on the bridge.”

Just like a bird of prey she watched as the Lieutenant thought himself well acquitted, giving him a false sense of security, and of accomplishment........

“That said, Lt. Kennedy raised his brows expectantly and tilted his head forward slightly. “I wish you the most relaxing of evenings. Please enjoy your dinner.”

....and then she struck

“You are not excused, Lieutenant Abe Kennedy, this matter is not settled. Were we prisoners, I would expect proper treatment as prisoners according to Star Fleet regulations.” She looks at him, when he seems about to speak. "Do I have to quote the sections and regulations tpertaining to the treatment of prisoners to you as well." Sienae’s voice contained a suppressed ire, that even fully controlled and at a distance was enough to melt an icecap.

S’Talon felt it and it was not even directed at him. Shades of her Grandfather, the Senator, who had gained the rank of Fleet Admiral before retiring from the navy and taking up politics.

“However we are NOT prisoners, according your own words we were put here for our own safety, and that you would be our liaison, though it seems you are unable to perform your duties as such."

S'Talon looked up at the ceiling, it was a ploy, it was to hide the tiny flickerings of a smile as Sienae took the Lieutenant and Star Fleet to task.

“So shall we revisit the complaint.” With that said, it told S’Talon that Sienae had not missed a word of his report. Here is where her eidetic memory came into play, that a couple of thousand years of inborn, inbred nobility and command.

(OOC: unless he’s given reason to pause…)
(OOC oh, yes he will be given a reason)

"Point 1: As of 12:40 this day, we were brought aboard the Charon along with other survivors of the Cerberus. At that time, we were isolated and told it was for our own protection. This was understandable considering the circumstances. What is not tolerable is that we were not given access to the same amenities as the Cerberus’s survivors. As of 16:00 we have had no access to food, water, freshers and facilities for natural needs, while the Cerberus personnel have had the benefits of all four.

The Centurion, repeated it word for word as S'Talon had recorded it, her voice controlled. “This matter of equal treatment has not been resolved and I do not think that what we asked for could be misconstrued as a request for luxury accommodations. We did not ask you to turn down our beds, or even ask for room service.”

“As military people we do understand what measures have been taken and my staff acted accordingly, There is NOTHING frivolous about the complaints. We were told when taking this mission that we would be accorded fair and equitable accommodations and that has not been done here-on the Charon. The Cerebus’s Star Fleet crew has access to replicators, freedom to use what facilities they can when they need to. You have cut us off from everything, but what we have with us, the beds, a table and chairs, but no food, no water, and no necessary facilities.

Point 2: We were told that we had to make all requests to and through you. My Second in Command asked for you, for me, at 14:20, and you have just arrived. That situation is not satisfactory at all.

By your own words, you were to be our liaison, and it is evident that no one in this room can speak to us, or even respond non-verbally to us. How were we supposed to get a message to you, when you are absent from your post and your own personnel here did not forward our request that was made for you to come here, almost two hours before you got the complaint. No, let me be fair, 1 hour and 43 minutes, give, or take a few seconds.”

“There would have been no formal complaint, had someone with initiative relayed the message to you in a timely manner." While she said that clearly enough to be heard by the entire room, her eyes raked across any who had the gumption to look over to her while she spoke.

“As for the third point, it is not a complaint, but a commendation for the Star Fleet crewman who saw that we lacked a table and chairs and only had the beds to sit on.”

“I was willing to be reasonable, and understanding. The key word, WAS.” She voice did emphasis that last word.

“As our liaison you must resolve this with me before you leave. You will tell me how you are going to remedy these shortcomings to my satisfaction and by when. My staff deserves that I pursue this here and now, since you are here for now.

As you also stated quite clearly Captain Gavison is very busy dealing with the investigation into the destruction of a Starfleet vessel—something, you CAN be sure I CAN attach the proper level of priority to this situation, and I assure you Lt. S’Talon CAN attach the proper level of priority to what I requested him to do and he did do exactly what I would have done, though I would not have waited 1 hour and forty-three minutes, while Star Fleet personnel had continuous access to what we did not.”

“If Star Fleet has been thrown into such dire straits by taking on the survivors of the Cerberus, and dealing with the loss of the Cerberus and as your Charon crew seems to be incapable of providing a liaison here around the clock, I will offer a solution. Bring an ASRV into the bay and let us stay in. It is at least capable of it providing us with what is needed, within the confines of this force field. From there we can use the radio for messages and be assured that they are relayed through PROPER channels to the proper personnel. If not, I will demand that there be someone here all hours of the day or night. Who knows when one of us will need a drink of water, a medication, or need to use a relief room.”

Mac had butted heads with her and knew something of her tenacity, but he had never experienced the like of which she had turned on Lt. Kennedy.

“Do you understand me, Lt. Kennedy?”

(OOC hmmm what to say and do now She does outrank him.)

Turning sharply on his heel, Kennedy strode from the room to return to the Bridge and his duties there.

(I am reminded of a fragment of a poem changing he to she)

The Eagle

She clasps the crag with crooked hands;
Close to the sun in lonely lands,
Ring'd with the azure world, she stands.

The wrinkled sea beneath her crawls;
She watches from her mountain walls,
And like a thunderbolt she falls.

-- Alfred, Lord Tennyson)

Still singing she takes quickly takes in the armor the goblin wears, “My thanks Heren'salkya,” she thinks to the Goddess of Luck, not breaking her song. Her sword had no magic and from
what she had seen this goblin had magical protections. Luck had given her an opening.

Knowing she had to stay away from the glowing ax, Elessarae, calling on all her training and praying for a bit more luck from the Lady of Luck, Fortune’s Dancer, danced an attack that would bring her blade between the goblin’s legs, hoping to do two things, strike deep and possibly, if the blade bit deep enough, she would use it to upset the goblin’s stance to throw off his own attack and keep her from feeling the bite of his ax.

What is this about misplacing S'Talon. He is a neat ol' Romulan. I have had fun creating him. He is my Dark Horse in this game . Beware Eol. And remember any time you want to use him-within the vein of his character, please do so. I am holding back his background until it is revealed in game play, though there as a couple of points I would like to go over with you before that. Maybe sometime when you are on PM me and we can meet in the chat room.

Now I think it is time for my bran muffin and mountain dew. Yaaa Hooo
