Subject: Asheera

The Paladin of Corellon moved forward as the beasts fell, to check each one and deliver a coup de'grac to them, making very sure that they were very dead.

Only when she was sure of there demise did she raise her hand and call the bird that Lyra had given her back to her wrist.

Asheera look to the others and then back to Lyra, to whom her nods to in deference, the young woman was more than she seemed. Seeing Lyra wounded Asheera goes to her and does a Laying on of Hands.

"There is an enemy within this city," she announces gravely to her comrades. "I have a feeling that these beasts were summoned to keep us from learning what is behind the disappearances. I am afraid that when the city is out of its paupers that any citizen could be in danger of being taken."

At that point Asheeera used her Detect Evil to survey the area looking for the traces of the one who had summoned the creatures.

"Lyra, while we deal with what is in the mountains, you will need to search for those in the city who are aiding in the kidnappings. Take care, for the power behind all this is Evil and can summon or is in league with fell beasts."

I want the ring. I need to know the price of refilling the wand. I figured that new it is 750 for 50 charges. 15 gold per charge so if I need 27 to fill it up it will cost 405 gp, if so I have spent 705 gp. I might get a couple of thing I have to looks to see what I can buy once I have the firm count of my money.

Now I see you put on the 1000gp for the gem, but I need to know what my share of the reward was, I am not sure that was added.

NOW What about Wulf's stuff?

Topic: Star Trek: Operation Persephone
Subject: The Centurion

Stardate: 2374.09.?? (leading up to the launch)
USS Cerberus

The meeting with her team had gone well, and it seemed someone had suggested to the Captain that he should invite the Centurion to attend all the meetings pertinent to the mission, she doubted that man would have done so on his own. She could understand his feelings, and would have felt the same way if their situation were reversed. Well maybe not as hostile as Capt. MacTavish, but then Terrans had a different code of morals than Romulans. So during the meetings Sienae endeavored to just be one of the officers, she listened to what all that others said, and had given her input when she felt it was needed.
Now Centurion Sienae was faced with a somewhat daunting prospect of requesting holodeck time, face to face infront of others. After receiving numerous replies, which did not satisfy her, she went to face the proverbial “Lion in His Den or was that Wolf in his Lair.”

“Run yer fargin’ tests, then,” he had growled at a tyoically smug Sienae, “but, lass, if tha’ cloak is no’ installed an’ operational ‘fore we untether from this dock, I swear ta Charlie, I’ll toss you lot inta this bairds warpcore an’ fergit ye ever sullied me ship, aye?”

“I assure you it is for the good of your ship, that my people are fully acclimatzed and familiar with your ship,” and knowing he might take it in the wrong way, “as to the installation of the cloaking device.”

Och, a disbelieving smirk tightened Mac’s lips as he recalled the Romulan’s reply, I cannae b’lieve I’ve actually become accustomed ta arguin’ wi’ th’ lass… Let alone startin’ ta like th’ woman! As irritating as she was, Mac had come to realize that she and her crew were more than proficient in their assigned duties and, so long as he would allow them to, might actually be able to meld seamlessly into the Fleet personnel by the time they reached DS9 and work side-by-side with them before it actually became imperative to do so. He still didn’t completely trust them, of course - he’d spent far too many years patrolling the NZ and being an active participant in the ‘cold war’ between the Romulan Empire and the Federation to ever do that – but he had managed to see that they could work together and, if this mission was to even launch (let alone be anything nearing a success), that they would have to… An’, o’ course, tha’ bloody lot o’ haggis’s gotta start wi’ th’ cap’n er th’ whole blinkin’ crew jus’ follows right along, he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose in an attempt to force his eyes closed.

The first two “dry runs” on the holodeck went off without a hitch, though the Centurion withheld her praise and kept her comments to exactly what was done and not done to their best ability.

The 3rd-6th dry runs were different, for she asked for the presence of the Cerberus’s engineering personal, those with the needed qualifications of being able to handle the technology of the cloaking devices. Sienae was not Romulan snob when it came to knowing that the Federation could have had a cloaking device, if they wanted one. Again their different morals and strange code of conduct kept them from creating that piece of technology. So it was that she had her team working with the Cerberus crewmen to teach them emergency repair and, after weeding out the lesser crew, she had 4 of the Cerberus’s best, 2 females and 2 males, changing places with her team to handle emergency situations. Sienae had no idea what the Captian of any of the other officers thought about her bringing in Feds on what was to be a Roumlan operation, she did not care. Even when a couple of the male Romulan techs shifted their brows at her announcement. Rhiana and Shiarreal had no trouble with the arrangement, neither did S’Talon, of them she could be certain as to there relationship to the Federation, though sometimes she wondered if she really understood her own feelings about them.

Finally came the day when Sienae with her crack team members, and 1 of the Federation’s junior engineering officers, a young Terran male, tackled the real installation of the cloaking device. it went like clockwork. She promised all ten a celebration when they completed their first cloak successfully.

The final preparations of the launch were now entirely up the Federation, her duty had been performed, except for one. She had promised S’Talon that as soon as the CD was in place, she would take her medical records and herself to the doctor, who was now one board. She had heard Shiarreal telling about how the doctor had run down the Captain for his physical and when the Captain did not accompany him to Sickbay for the examination, the doctor had done it while he was in Engineering.

That sounded exactly like him, indeed that mountain had to move to him, because he was not moving to the mountain. It was going to be a VERY interesting mission. She would have said voyage earlier, but little inklings of events made her think that the Romulans might have some part in all this mission.

Zara turns to the others as they come up. "Oko has gone to let his horse have a good run. He should be back soon. He went thatway if we want to ride and catch up to him. No need for him to back track to find us."

She give a long look a Septimus. If he did not snap out of his funk soon, she would take matters into her own hands, so to speak. She was beginning to understand just how young he was. That that he was as young as her in her way, but both of them had experiences that gave them a differnet type of maturity, though Septimus seemed to be a lot less forgiving of himself.

"Time to go," she said brightly. "I just hope we find some more adventurers to join us. Our ranks are a bit thin."

In her left hand Ash holds out her holy symbol, and in her right is her blade glowing with a holy light.

These Hellhounds must be killed, they are of the Darkness and she is a Warrioress of the Light. There is no fear as she strides forward.

A hand signal sends her Cath Shee to cicle round the back of the second Hellhound, from there the cat will make lightning like strikes against the Hellhound, trying to hamstring it.

One to talk to Comrade/Moon Shadow. To give him instructions or to gather information from him, like, "Lead the horses back to the city, or what do you smell?"

I already, in my post have written about Elessar talking to him, teaching him words in Elven, like; tree, water, bird, etc.

Also as a way of gathering information from the animals in the area where we are going.

Yes, She will take Wulf's things to a Mage to check out.

Subject: Elessarae in Town

Go to Temple of deity and Pray for mother. Also if we were still on the road to the city on the day that her funeral would take place, Elessarae would would take the time to pray inat the proper time of day for her Mother's deity.
Figuring that was when the funeral would be.

Next she would take the helm, sword and shield to the Temple of Adaron, thinking that Wolf as a ranger or woodsman type would follow the Father of Trees.

I am creating a back post for this so I will wait until I get a reply from you so I can write it.

Is there anything like a Ring of Animal communication, like D&D had?

Topic: The Chakran Portal - an Adventure in Audalis
Subject: Elessarae

Throughout the trip to where they had to finally make the choice of going on to the moutains or turning to the city, Elessarae worked with Comrade, she took a light riding pad, saddle blankets and a bitless bridle from the stable at Hith Elee. These she put on Comrade and let him carry them for a couple of days, then she added a set of saddlebags that had some weight to them. Finally, while they stopped to rest for lunch, she would leap up and lay over the saddle to let him feel her weight. On the day before reaching the crossroads she mounted him and let him carry her for about twenty minutes, before leaping off and going back to riding the mare. She did this twice during that day.

She was mounted on him as they came to the crossroads and the question of their direction was brought to a discussion.

Elessarae could only listen as they spoke, this was their mission. She had wanted to recharge her healing wand, the gem would have been enough to do that much maybe even more magic on her sword or magic on her armor.

When all had spoken she voiced her reasons for going to the city.

"All that we have been experiencing of late is due to the Goblins from out of those moutains. As I stated before, I believe something other than Goblins is, or are behind the poisonsing of the trees. The city is our last chance to use the money ofs the reward to augment ourselves with magic, and healing. Just getting from Megilindar Nost to here has taken more than half my wand of cure light wounds."

"I have a feeling, when you were sent out that all you were meant to do was go there, for whatever reason, and then return. You would have known that you would face Goblins and such, but now those goblins are not scattered little bands, fighting each other. They have now been drawn together for some purpose and will be more dangerous."

"I also believe that we could use all the magic and equipment we can carry to take on what is in those mountains. Would it not be best to use the money we have to see that we are wearing and carrying the most we can in magics? What good is the money if we are dead."

Subject: Kas, A Finale

They say your life passes before you when you are dying, it did for Kas. The blank spot in her memory was finally filled. She remembered who she was, Kasenarrion Sunblade and what she was, preparing to be a Paladin to Pelor, and why she was, as a descendent of a Solar and Paladin of Pelor, and she knew where she had come from--another world.

There was little her Celestial blood could do for her now; she had as many of her ancestors had, given her life to save others. Not that she ever wanted to following the paths of some of her illustrious ancestors who descended from their Solar ancestor. She had wanted to be a Bard, even though her father, also a Paladin to Pelor, saw to it that she was trained as a warrior. When she was shown to be favored by Pelor, her father was elated, though shortly after he died in service to Pelor, and to honor him Kas had forsaken her dream to be a Bard. Kas had been on her way to train at a Temple of Pelor when she was whisked away to this world.

Pain and the stench of her own burning flesh assailed her, yet she fought for conscious thought. At least Loriel had been unconscious in these last terrible moments.

There would be no way home for her. She would die far from home and family, alone, though not alone she was sure her only friend had or was dying with her. Loriel has sacrificed herself, by going against the Mage so that Artanis could secure the babe and get out of the burning building. Kas could have opted to escape, but she would not leave her friend is such dire straits.
Maybe self sacrifice was in her genes, but it would end with her.

A flash of blue ripped at her heart, somehow Jethro had manage to escape. She had hoped that, after hearing his own cries of pain that he would suffer the same fate as they and Justice would have been served. Instead it brought of tears that burned away in the fiery depths of the collapsed manor house. She had failed, she had not saved the poor cat still wrapped in her skirts, or Loriel, nor had she brought justice to the mad mage that had started the fire and killed them.

Sight had gone, breath had gone, and pain lingered

Kas’s last coherent thoughts did not lighten her mind, there was her failure, Kas would not be there to help Bart in his quest as she promised. She had helped save Artanis and the child, but could not save Loriel or the cat. At least her family, which she now remembered, would never know of it. Her family always spoke to facing their deities at death with their heads high, she was not sure she could. Added to that was not knowing which deity would claim her. Would she return to the place where Pelor held sway, or would Tyr take her.

She would know soon enough, as the pain died, so did Kas.

In Elven, “Loriel, out the window,” and as Loriel goes to the window Kas grabs up Artanis's sword moves forward. She had thought to take the man alive at first and turn him over to the civil authority for justice, but now she was out to serve Tyr’s justice to him in by herself. She knew he was Evil, every act committed here was ample evidence of his crime against humanity. He had wantonly destroyed property to serve his own ends, he had taking part in orchestrating this fire and was magically perpetrating the fire that was consuming this building and threatened to end their lives as well as that of the child and the cat.

Yet a couple of things the man had intimated caused her to use the hilt of the sword and apply it forceablely to his thick skull enough to stagger him and make him more manageable, then grab him instead, and push him out the window with all the might she could muster.

“Tyr lend me the strength to see that this man will meet the fate of your justice,” she cries out, setting her body to manhandle the mad mage out the window.

Kas seeing Artanis tensing even before the mage scorches Loriel, Kas makes a snap decision as to what spell would be best to use to aid Artanis and confound this crazed man. She can not believe what has transpired and is horrified by the brazen act of setting fire to the house to draw them there with a wanton disregard of the lose of innocent life.

"In my Place I do Dare, in that Face I cast Flare."

Kas points to her intended victim and release the spell even as Artanis's muscles release her and she charges the man. She then readies Bless.

"Loriel, get behind me."

If it seems that Loriel is sunned by the attack, and Thje man is not taken down by Artanis, Kas will attempt to pull the sword from the plaque. If it does not come free she will quickly draw her dagger and also attack the man. There is little time before they are overcome by the fire.

"Tyr!" Kas cries out aloud, her voice raising to the heavens even in the roar of the fire. "Justice must be served!"

Kas wraps the cat more fully in the skirts of her dress, to keep it from clawing her in its terrified state, and exposing a fair amount of her long slender legs, not that Kas had morals against nudity, and even if she did, she would had done the same thing.

Exiting the room Kas sees there is no going down, so she looks of the others. Then hearing Loriel's voice she races that direction.

One thing is very plane in her mind. This fire was set purposefully, the elementals were proof of then, which would mean that there would be justice to pay by the perpetrator.

"Tyr, please lend us aid to same the innocences that are in danger, and grant us safe passage from this fiery building so that the miscreant can be brought to justice.”

Kas does not falter ar the sight of the threatening fire elemental, but looks of a bucket or ewer of water, usually keep in such a place to wash up. If she finds it she will throw it over the fire elemental. If there is no water the she whips off the cloak and throws it over the fire elemental and then makes a grab for the cat and then wraps it up in the cloak, or if she tossed the cloak over the elemental then she wraps it in the skirt of her dress.

"I HAVE THE CAT!" She yells at the top of her voice.

She then grabs back her cloak, if she had to throw it.

Kas casts a Blessing on them just before entering the burning building, it was all she could do to help them. She races through the burning first floor to and takes the stairs two at a time. Seeing Artanis head straight to where the lady said the nursery was, Kas starts opening doors into the other rooms. She looks quickly under the furniture and in the corners where cats like to hide. She also takes note of windows that they might use as an escape route. She calls out for the cat, “Mr. Wuggles,” sure that Artanis would have the child soon in hand.

If she can find no sign of the cat in this room she will go to the next.

At some point she hears Artanis scream out, “MARIBELLE, WHERE ARE YOU?!”

That did not bode well.

Zara's smile lights the day and she jumps into her saddle and gathers up the reins of the rest of the horses.

"Best to move quick."

She turns her horse and goes to lead them to the appointed hiding place when one of them balks and that yanks her out of the saddle. A fantastic display of aerial acrobatics ends with Zara standing on her feet facing the horses she was to be leading, while her own horse turned its head to regard her with some interest.

At least she was not on the seat of her pants.

After everyone seems to have finished eating, Zara bounces up and with a theatrical florish swings her cape about her shoulder only to hit herself in the face. Withoust pause she heads for the door of the inn.

"Come on, people, its a great day for a picnic." and then hurries out the door to almost run into one of the bar maids with a face like a boiled beet, and a young man about the same color.

She raises an eyebrow and then lets them pass as she steps from the porch and heads towards where the horses are tethered and Oko seems to be cat-napping.

"Morning Oko, I think the others are behind me, what do you say we play a trick on them. Let's thake the horses behind the barn and make thim think we left alreadey. Better still let's mount up and start down the road without them. Maybe next time they will hurry a bit faster."

Zara's devious teenage mind was considering any numbere of other alternatives to the standard pranks most teenagers could come up with, but that would reveal things she choose to keep hidden.
