Kas passes the Cure Moderate Potion to Artanis and takes the other two cure Light potions, she drinks both knowing just depleated she was, both by wounds and by the draining caused by the spear. She looks to the others as they go about their business.

"I suggest that we use the money from tha sale of what we have found, for the purchase of healing potions."

"I would also add that anything having to to with the horse headed man be taken to a temple and inspected by a High Priest or Priestess. That spear exacted a price for its use. Every hit I got with it I paid for with my own life force."

"Elesia, what did you feel with you inspected it. And can anyone do an augury, or divination to find out if the woman and child are in there, before I aid Loriel in her search. The truth of their existence is in question, but I feel as Loriel, we must know for sure before abandoning the cave, and maybe them."

Subject: Kas

Kas can barely function without the others aid. When it cam time for the small battered band to move out she moves slowly and with extreme care so as not to open the stitches in her side, using the spear as a support. Once outside she finds that Bart and Elesia also suffered an attack by a pair of Orcs. With Aelistrae’s aid she sits against the wall of the cave at and takes out her sword and after wrapping her cloak about her, she lays the blade across her lap. The Spear is propped up against the wall, but she knew she could not use it again, not in her condition, it would kill her. While they discuss the treachery of this incident and decide to camp here for the night, Kas listens to what is going on about her; listening so that her mind is occupied with something, and not the nothingness she had perceived earlier.

Never before had she ever felt so helpless and alone, not that her new friends did not care for her, for their concern and solicitations were all that one could want in so new a group, but there was a feeling of the emptiness, the nothingness that left her feeling alone, cut off. Compounding this feeling was the fact that the god she knew, did not exist here. If that was so then this was not her world. Kas trembled at the thought, up until now she figured she had just come into a new land and accepted the strangeness as due to that, but now? In the battle she had been calling on Pelor, but it was not Pelor who answered, Tyr answered her, as Pelor, The Shining One, Patron of the Domains of Sun, Light, Strength, and Healing, who was her god, was not a deity of this world, Tyr filled the void of Kasenarrion’s need.

Leaning against the wall on the cave, catching the last rays of the sun, tears well at the thought that Pelor was not with her, not here, wherever here was.

Yet there was Tyr, he had given her succor and strength to battle the evil and for that she now gives her heart-filled prayers of praise.

“Tyr, as the Patron of Good, Law, Knowledge, Retribution, and War, I, Kasenarrion Sunfire, promise to serve you faithfully. I will Fight for Justice, Serve and Do Good, Support the Higher Law, Gain and Use Knowledge to perform duties for you and to aid others, Deliver Retribution where and when needed, and to use the Craft of War to help others.” After saying this Kas felt little bit less lonely and cut off, but cut off from where. Her hand caressed the golden emblem of Pelor in the hilt of her family’s sword. She knew that much, but with it came no memories of family, it was a void in her mind and for the first time she truly felt it. “This I swear on my family’s sword, in this Pelor and You have a common ground, and that is Good.”

Her family’s sword, but a family she could not remember, there were no faces, no voices, and no memories of anything related to them. She could remember schooling and training and learning. She remembered wanting to be a Bard and the time coming when she had to give that up to become what she was now. Normally what one becomes is based on the background and upbringing and half of that was related to family, but for Kas there was no family. It hurt knowing that, a pain worst that the throbbing in her side, a pain of emptiness and not knowing.

Kas caught bits and pieces of further conversations, describing what had been happening both inside and outside the cave. Kas was upset that she could not be of more help to these new friends, and the reason she was now as she was, had to do with a bad choice on her part. She should have heeded her own misgivings about the weapon carried by the horse-headed man, where as the shield of the Centaur had been beneficial to Artanis, the spear had been a mixed blessing. Kas had made good hits on the Ogre and the Magic User, but she had suffered for it. The only physical blow she had taken was from the Ogre, but the spear had twice bitten her back after she scored hits on the enemy. That is why she now held her family sword in her hand, if they were arttacked and she used the spear, it would kill her. She was not ready to die, she had a memory to recapture, however one does that, she was not sure. Perhaps it was the blow to her head, the one that left her with the star shaped scar and a headache that was not yet quite gone.

Talk then turned to Loriel feeling that they should reenter that cave and make a complete search of it, just to make sure that the missing women and child were not really their. She was right, they only surmised that the thing was a trap and that the old man and sent them into it. As much a Kas would have like to help, she knew she would only be a hindrance.

“Loriel,” Kas calls to the Elf, “I have no divine blessing to give you, but for what it is worth you have my blessing on this endeavor. May haps Tyr will see fit to watch over you as you go to seek the Truth of this matter so that Justice, and, or Retribution can be served.”

Alea bows with deep respect to the cloaked figure with the cloak bearing the symbol of Corellon Larethian., her own silver symbol hung about her neck a thin styalized cresent moon with the intricate floral design work into it. “My Lady Priestess,” her melodic elven fills the room, she know the least level the Priestess had to be, so she framed her response for honor one who was well above her in the hierarchy of Corellon, “I am Alea’isilimaren ver Elorinvae’al (Alea’isilimaren of Amberwood), which is not of this world.

She then turns to Alacran and in common, “Sir, maybe I should have held to my first assessment of you, but we were warned to thrust few and after what we have already been through, my comrades were less inclined to trust you.”

As Billy appears, she turns to him, “Be at peace, the Barkeep was healed by a Priestess of Corellon Larethian.”

Alea has no idea the the others were out there too, knowing only that Billy and she had gone to the back door to spy of Alacran and the figure with him.

Yep that's right and the way Kaelyn mention how the pit lies it lies the ladder trick may not work. either I will have to map it out. Kaelyn is the opening in the floor ten by ten and at the intersection?

Now they must have another way out of here it wouldn't make sense not to. So let me get feedback from Kaelyn and I will draw it out and see if it will work with those ladders.

(My fault, I wrote my post in Word and I forgot to post it to the game.)

Elessarae is enwrapped by the screams of Wulf and Aluwego and caught between freeing Geim who is now in enwrapped by the snaking vines of the willow and going to the tree herself and using her vial on it.

When the sonic blast hits she is jerked out of her indecision, Eleassarae snapped back into focus.

"Comrade, go away!" Elessarae yells, then with a swing born of desperation she cuts at the vines constricting Geim. If she can free him in one action she will pull out her healing wand and give it to Geim and the head for the tree.

Elessarae begins to sing to inspire her comrades.

(To here the music go to http://www.contemplator.com/wales/harlech2.html the first little bit in an introduction and then the some starts.)

Rise Sylvari, guard your Forests!
War has come both Dread and Glorious.
We must stand and be Victorious,
Warriors of the Light.

Rise Sylvari, to defend us
Least the enemy do rend us
Doing all that is horrendous
In this, they must fail.

Stand we now with Fervor
In this great Endeavor
Weapons ready, warriors steady,
We face the gruesome foe now before us

Sylvari Warriors, on to glory
See Battle Standards famed in story
Waves these buring words before ye,
"Sylvaria shall not Yield!

Rise Sylvari, take your Stand,
Cast out the Evil from our Land,
With Sword and Bow now in Hand,
Warriors of the Light.

Come we now before the Foe
Gathered now to bring them woe
With sword and spear and full bent bow,
The enemy shall not stand.

From the trees resounding,
Now our war cry sounding.
Summon all at Sylvaria’s call
The haughty foe now surrounding

Onward! Now Sylvari warriors,
We are here to be Victorious,
Doing all that is Good and Glorious,
Warriors of the Light.

Kasenarrion, fueled by the fires of Tyr charged forth, her spear glowering at the prospect of feeding once more. With a call to Tyr, She thrust her spear in between her companions, the tip flaring as it penetrated the woman’s magical defenses, and skewered her heart. The woman’s eyes went wide in shock, as did Kasenarrion's, as the spear drained her happily. (Another Critical Hit! -28 hp, -8hp Kas 1/3hp!) Kas could barely stand as the woman slumped over, the Warrior of Tyr letting go of the spear haft and staggering, struggling to stay upright.

Kas was aware that the evil had departed as the women fell under the onslaught of her companions and her final attack. Final in that she was incapable of any sort of action after she had delivered the killing blow, staggered by the drain from the spear as it penetrated the women’s evil heart. As if the spear were blazing hot, she released her grip and reeled back. Kas fought to stay standing as the others made sure the woman was dead.

“Thank you, Tyr.” Kas murmured, it sounded simple in wording, but the deep gratitude that Kas felt went way beyond what words could denote. Tyr would know her heart and mind, and know the depth of what she felt.

Somewhere in the fog that seemed to close in around her she heard a voice using her name.

"Kas let me help you. You can lean on my shoulder and I will get you at least onto the throne where you can sit, better that than the floor. By the way keep the spear you did great with it." Loriel gave her a shoulder to lean on as she led Kas away and eased her down onto the seat of the cherry wood throne.

The spear. Maybe she should have guessed that it was not a weapon to be wielded lightly, given the creature it had been taken from. Now she knew, the weapon exacted a price for its magic.

The fog enclosed her again, she was barely aware of the sounds of her companions as they went about the room looting and discovering hidden caches. In that fog things came to her, that in the heat of battle, she had thrust aside. They came back to her now as questions. “Why was Pelor not here? Why, when she had said he was her family deity, was there no concept of her own family? Who had trained her as a fighter, and taught her the arts and crafts of warfare? Why, in retrospect had she charged the Evil one when most warriors would have held back knowing how wounded they were?

Worst than the fog about her, was the empty area inside her. She knew things and did not know how she knew them and the more she probed for answers the more the emptiness was revealed and that sent a shiver across her body. She heard another voice out of the fog and the emptiness, by the time she registered the words, she had opened her eyes to see Artanis beside her.

“You really should lay off the axes, Kas. They’re bad for your health.”

One corner of Kas’s mouth lifted in half a smile. “Axes, and spears that bite,” she replies.

The Artanis is replaced by Aelistea. The drow priestess had moved over to Kas’ side, and removed a small wooden box inlaid with a floral pattern from her backpack. Once the wound had been cleaned and her armour removed, she produced a small vial from within it, Aelistae liberally sprinkled it over a large wound in her midriff that been caused by the ogre’s large axe. she painstakingly sowed together Kas’s pale flesh with a needle and thread and bound the wound in a tight dressing. The Drow’s ministrations keep Kas from dwelling on the emptiness and keep her in the here and now.

“The stitching will tear if you move around too much. But it should last until I can ask Eilistraee to help you,” she informed Kas. “Lean on me and I’ll help you walk.”

“Thank you, My, spear,” Kas says pointing to where she left it in the woman.

Kas watches Xaris charged straight towards the crude barricade and the Orcs that lay beyond and quickly puts one down. Artanis quickly followed her smaller companion in a similar fashion, charging the barricade, using Xaris’ opening as a means to reach another orc with a little more ease and puts him down. Loriel’s first two arrows strike the Ogre, but there was not way an ogre would be felled by two arrows. Linnix, fired, her small hand crossbow’s bolt nicked the Orc’s shoulder, drawing its attention.

Kasenarrion finally stepped into the room next, and casts her Flare spell. “By Tyr’s Grace she calls out as the Ogre seems to have been affected by it. She then moves to engage the Ogre.

Infuriated the Ogre cursed out loud at missing the Gnome and hitting one of his Orc defenders. “I will feast on gnome flesh tonight!”

The Orcs fired again. As did Aelistae

Arrows and bolts continued to fly, but Kas had the Ogre in her sight and with her battle cry, “For Tyr, for Righteousness, for Retribution, and for Justice!” She thrusts at the Ogre and is surprise to see the tip of her spear glowing and as she connected the spear seemed to penetrate the Ogre’s thick hide with ease. As it struck however, Kas felt a drain upon her, as if something was pulled from her body.

Aelistae’s arrow then finds the third eye of another Orc. Artanis took a slight wound from a bolt, but she get her retribution by killing her attack with a might swing of her deadly sword.

Kas is suddenly caught by the Ogre’s massive ax and is sent flying. The pain came on top of the earlier unhealed wound. Kas clamped her teeth tightly to keep from crying out in pain. Kas knows she can not show weakness so she forced herself to stand, using the spear for support.

Xaris delivers the Ogre a crippling blow, cuting off his lower leg and sending him to the ground. Kas can not believe the spunk of the tiny warrior. Loriel fires again and hits the Ogre but the arrows do not go deep. Kas is surprised by the teamwork of the group and their effectiveness in this battle

Kas was moving forward to deliver a coup de grac to the Ogre when the woman hanging chained to the wall tossed aside her ragged garment and as she stood, she revealing a perfectly healthy woman dressed in black and green robes, baring a short bone wand.

With a sneer she cackled. “While I commend you on your sense of morality and justice, I pity you fools, for while my master moves his plan one step further to completion, you will not live to see the light of day!”

With that she let loose her wand’s command word, and it shot forth a bolt of searing lightning shot forth crackling on an angle that would put Xaris and Artanis as well as the fallen Ogre in its path. The Ogre, twitched from the lightning which coursed through its body, its skin charred and its back was turned into the equivalent of cracklings before it slumped over very dead.

Cackling in maniacal glee, the woman dropped the wand in her hand and drew out another identical one. Even as the first one the floor; it disintegrated, its energies spent.

Now Kas’s attention was taken from the Ogre to the woman, here was Evil. Kas rushed forward spear ready, the intensity of the lightning would be deadly to the others, and she was here and still viable as a fighter. Fighting Evil was..............right; was all she could think of for now, she knew there was more to that though, but it did not come, and she did not let it impede her in what she was doing

“TYR!” Kas calls out as she makes her attack on the woman and as she does she sees the tiny form of the Forest Gnome racing toward the woman also.

Moving in, the moment Kas sees the Ogre’s beady, squinting eyes on them she releases the spell she had prepped and ready.

“Light, illume and consume sight,” She points at the Ogre with the spear, not only to indicate where she wanted the spell to flare, but to let the Ogre know that she was taking him on in what might be like a formal challenge.

Kas, felt a shiver of fear at the sight on the immense Ogre and was glad for the extra reach that the spear would give her. Her golden eyes took in the great ax he carried and knew that it was capable of serious damage. Yet the fear the beast engendered did not continue to hold her enthrall. A strange calm spread through her, like a seasoned warrior she took in the height of the ceilings, where they high enough for him to do a full overhead swing? She noted the barricade with the Orc crossbowmen and how fast were they reloading. Then she took in the position of the pits, and anything that could possibly be used to put the Orge at a disadvantage. She noted how he held his ax so that she could keep to his off side. That would be where he would be weakest. She estimated how much damage his legs would take to bring him down, once down he would be hard pressed to use his massive ax.

She did all that a seasoned warrior did when confronted with a situation where the advantage began with the enemy. She did it automatically, but she was also intelligent, and experience had a background, though nothing came to her mind that would explain her ability in strategy and tactics. Was this connected with Tyr, who had so recently claimed her. Did the calm and the knowledge come to her when all that wasTyr filled her Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit?

She instantly put those thoughts out of her mind. The Ogre and the Orcs were her targets. Here and Now, for now.

No matter if the Ogre is affected by the spell, Kas will go forward to a position that does not immediately endanger her and preparer to charge with the others.

“If we all go at him as one, we might be able to flank him and he can only hit one of us at a time, and go for his legs.” Kas advises the others, many of them she knows are not use to close combat or fighting such a terrible foe.

With her heart pounding, yet held in the grace of calm, her eyes glowing gold with a holy radiance, Kas raises a battle cry.

“For Tyr, for Righteousness, for Retribution, and for Justice! ” Her voice filled the room and echoed off the stone walls.

Kas moved just behing the others, with a spear she could easily engage the enemy from behind the leaders, she also readies her Flare spell, if they come upon the Ogre it may or may not be surprised. If she could catch Ogre just right then it would be blinded for a few rounds.

As the wolf indicates that it has found the source of the scent that she was sent to track. Kas takes up the spear in readiness to attack. Unfortunately Moonshadow's bark alerts those inside that a canine is outside the door, and that brings the sound of a woman in distress and a hard whack of a hand against a head.

The Ogre, had just hit the woman to silence her. They had to move right away.

For that he would pay.

~~Tyr,~~ Kas send a silent prayer to her new deity, ~~This Ogre will know your just retribution.~~

"Go now, before he can prepare!" Kas hisses at the others, not wanting to speak to loud and give the Orge warning of just whoelse was out side his door.

That had her blood boiling. Her body was tense with the thirst for a just retribution.

This Alacran would pay for his effrontry and duplicity, this because the man that was workking this evil could be disguised or shape changed and not the real Alacran.

She listens to the warrior woman ask for the sheild, and in truth the Elven archer would be hampered by it, and Kas's bastard sworn precluded her from using it easily. So what took her interest was the spear, but she found it difficult to ask for something someone else risked their life for.

"Loriel, if you have no skill with a spear, I do. I realize the weapon is of great value and is yours by right, but it could also be of great service. If nothing else I will carry it for you as you would have to put it aside to use your bow."

Kas look to Aelistea, "You speak wisely, for I wonder the kind of creature the Horse-headed Humanoid is, given that Centaurs are known to be of a non-evil nature and the statues are displayed showing the Former attacking a Centaur. If anything the peiece may be consecrated to some deity that may be of an evil nature. When we have the time and the spells, it would be best to check them both out."

Kas pondered for a moment, if Tyr had just taken her up in place of her family deity, Pelor, what was she? For when Aelistea mentions Priestess she knows she is not a priestess, yet she could cast Divine spells, and Arcane ones, as she was a Bard. She had spent her life training to become one, but something happened, she knew it did, but for the life of her, she could not remember what it was. Though beginning Bards do not have the divine spells that Tyr indicated she possessed. Why was she so favored .... favored .... that was it, she remembered the first time Pelor revealed himself to her and called her a Favored Soul. From that time on she had could call on Pelor’s Grace to cast Divine spells, spells she did not have to study, or pray for.

“Aelistae, I am not a priestess,” Kas says slowly. “I believe I am a Favored Soul of Pelor-------no ...... not Pelor, for Tyr just told me Pelor is not of this world. I am now Tyr’s.”

She looks about at the others, puzzlement clear on her face, her forehead was wrinkled and it brought a little pain from the wound she had taken on her head.

“Aelistae please allow me to use one of my healing spells of you.” Kas moves over to her and lifts her hands before her chest. “Divine Tyr,” it was right though it sounded strange to her ears, ”grace me with you healing powers so that I might heal this valiant comrade.”

She knows she and the wolf both need more healing but, their may be others that need it too. When Linnix turns down healing Kas calls Loriel to bring the wolf to herand repeats the her spell. One more time she casts the spell on herself.

"I am out of all my healing spells," she announces, I have a couple of Bardic ones, one of them it flare, so I would like to be close to the front so I could cast it into eyes of the Ogre, when we encounter him."
