Topic: You Filthy Little Thief!!!
Subject: another round

Thunder River
North West Dock
Drefast

~Positive Tide is normal
~Negative Tide is rising

As Pio was dragged into the waters, Miran acted instantly. He dropped his rapier and ran to the edge of the dock. Then he plunged himself in the green and foaming water of the Thunder River. As the bubbles of impact cleared around him, he swam down, until he became aware of the location of Pio and the beast. They were both going down rapidly, and the Swashbuckler had to swim hard to catch up with them.

In the mean time, Percifeer had overcome her anger and also edged near the water. She drew her crossbow and tried hard to estimate the location of the underwater fight. With a THWANG that echoed over the water, she let go of her bolt. It soared through the river’s surface and disappeared from sight.

Beinsel was not so sure of how to proceed, throwing a dart into the water blindly was not what he considered a sure aid to Pio. But what to do, he did not know.

Llammoth was equally stunned and stared at the spot where the beast and Pio had disappeared. Was this the end of their brother? Was there anything they could do?

Meanwhile, Pio was fighting hard to hold off his opponent and the urge to breathe out. Then, in the midst of warding off claws and bites, he found an opening. Without hesitation he punched the creature hard in the face. Blood sprouted from the monster’s nose and blurred the knight’s vision even more, so he didn’t see the crossbow bolt that soared by harmlessly.
But the Sea Cat retaliated with a punishing slash from its claw, drawing another group of cuts on Pio’s head.

By now, Miran had reached them, and was trying hard to enter the grapple, so he could aid Pio. He grabbed the monster, and tried to pry his dagger into its ribs. A massive paw pushed him away before he could finish his thrust, and he missed.the creature by an arm’s length.

(OOC: we’ve got 6 rounds left before Pio gets in serious breathing trouble. Get kicking guys!)

Subject: Addy's Horror Stories on Friday the 13th

Your car broke down in the middle of nowhere. Your cellphone's dead or doesn't get service. Trying to reach the nearest gass station on foot, you come across an old mansion amidst a dirty swamp. Despite the facts that there are no lights illuminating the windows and the gate hangs off its hinges, you decide to try your luck for a phone there.

When will you finally understand that you're in a horror-story?

The door opens, and a tall, pale man lets you in. He is wearing old fashioned clothes and carries a candle for light. He shows you the phone, which is covered in dust and spiderwebbings. Still, you pick it up as the pale man leaves the room, casting darkness upon you.

A creaky voice answers:

"Yes, this is Admiral Bob. Are you calling to congratulate me on my birthday?"

Compulsion takes over, and you answer:

"Yes. Happy Birthday Admiral!"

The end credits start rolling, and the audience doesn't have a clue. But you do, don't you!! It was meant to be.

Now answer the call, and meet your destiny! Congratulate Bob on his birthday, or you shall suffer endless horrors, like this post, until eternity!!!

WUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I'm getting SO tired of waiting. I've sent messages to people, but I'm still updating this evening; My european evening.

I know Ayrn is unable to post, but I will not halt the game for long periods at a time, like has been happening lately, waiting for players to post. Either you're in the game, or you're not. Make a decision, please.

I posted... is Lucas losing it? Possibly...

Topic: Feeding The Undead
Subject: still the season

It was not that Lucas wasn’t afraid. He just knew how to handle his fear better than others. His ability to shut himself off, in a way, from what was going on was sometimes mistaken by other people for unsociable behaviour. But perhaps that misunderstanding was formed also by the fact that Vandervoort was an uncaring bastard.

So, it was no extraordinary exception that, when the group was under a sudden attack by the grotesque wolves, his first thought was: I’m glad they didn’t pick me. Let them have him, and get the hell out of here..

But of course the rest of the group chose differently, because fear had grabbed them, or because the sergeant was barking them into staying. Vandervoort’s heart was pumping fast, and he feverishly tried to figure out what to do now. He didn’t want to risk getting close to these creatures, but fortunately the soldiers were jumping into action, so he did not have to.
The target of the attack was not going to make it, the scientist concluded in advance. But perhaps there was something he could learn from the situation? While he observed the fight with almost compulsive attention, he moved closer to Carrell. Should there be another attack, then he would throw the man before himself. He needed to get out of these woods and share with the world what he had discovered. What HE, Lucas Vandervoort, had discovered.

How amazingly interesting: their nerve system is still functioning and keeping them up and walking, even after lethal trauma. Just like that deer. There must be some form of contagiousness.
He thanked himself for wearing rubber gloves while inspecting the deer.

The fight was over within seconds, and Vandervoort had forgotten his cautiousness for possible new threats. He couldn’t take his eyes of the snapping creature. With its crushed body it looked like an automated stuffed animal that was still functioning after beeing run down by a car. But it was the most gruesome stuffed animal ever.

He motioned at one of the privates. “Hey, you! Grab that thing by the legs and make sure to bring it along.”
Lucas knew what was expected of him next. But the eerie feeling that had crept up his spine when he discovered the nature of the deer had not gone yet. And it was still urging him to get back to the hummers. He shoved the soldiers aside who were crowding the bleeding private, and kneeled next to the kid. He grabbed one of the torn pieces of cloth from Johnson’s hands, and bound it tightly around the private’s neck wound. He looked at the kid as he tightened the knot and said softly:

“You’re not going to die, ok? It’s the time of the season for loving, not dying.”

He didn’t know why he had said that. It was not supposed to be a joke, and Vandervoort was not known for his compassion, so it could not have been meant as a comforting comment.
The other soldiers helped the private to his feet, and Vandervoort was glad to get a move on. He could hear voices on the wind, and was more an more getting aware of his fear that if this disease was contagious, it could possibly spread to humans. If the private made it back to the hummers, he would be put in quarantine as soon as possible.

Lucas moved closer to Johnson as they paced back to the vehicles. He tried to keep his voice low as he spoke:

“When we get back to the hummers, I want you to keep a close eye on that kid. Those things suffered from the same disease that kept the deer walking. We cannot know if he has been infected, and what it will do to him. Do you understand what I’m saying?”

I've mentioned before that updating your item list is not yet important. I do try to stick to a weekly posting schedule, so list ready or not, you can post what your character wants to do. That way I can get you guys further. Otherwise I'll have to wait with updating until next saturday. And I don't like having to delay all the time.

No posts at all

That is kind of demotivating. Are we all still interested in this game? I have only received news from Dragon Mistress about posting intentions, which were delayed because of myself. For the rest of you: where are your character's intentions? I can run this show alone, but than it's no longer a d&d experience; it's reading a story. I'd like to think that you guys have some kind of say in what happens.

You're free to take it to a print shop though and put it on a shirt or something

Hey guys,

I made this for a contest on Deviantart, and I wasn't sure if it belonged in the art section of this site... it's just not really like the rest of the stuff we have there. But I'm curious what you guys think.

There is NO way I'm every winning the contest, but it was a very fun and inspiring topic: Veggie Undead. I just had to participate.

Hope you guys like it:

I am waiting for other people to post as well. Philosopher is back and should be posting. Jozan could be posting, so I'm waiting a bit more.

Pio has 7 rounds of action left, more if he would do nothing but swim, but such is not the case.

If he drops his stuff and fights with his fist he can do subdual damage, which still counts but doesn't kill. He can attack the creature by making an opposed grapple check, which is difficult but possible. Your hope pretty much lies in making it until your friends help you out, unless you come up with a brilliant plan. You can't strip your armor while in the grapple, but you're also not helpless.

This encounter was made to give you guys some difficulty, not to kill of characters. You can very well survive this, but you need to make good choices.

Having dealt with this creature and its wicked schemes, a vacancy opened up, which Amelden took himself. But he is not the friendly fey that trades teeth for coins. He slays the children the teeth belonged to!

Will the PCs be able to stop him before he slaughters yet another innocent snaggle-tooth?
Will the adventure finally end?

once you're in the temple, what would you do with those items? You need a wizard or sorcerer to identify them.

Yes, the funeral is on the way to the city. Praying on the road sounds like a very good idea. If you do it out loud, several Syls will come out of the woods and share them moment with you to remember the fallen of the past few weeks.

What exactly would you accomplish with the animal communication item? I'm sure you can find one of those, but why would you want it? Do you wish to talk with Comrade? If so, why? What would you ask him that you cannot ask him without such magical aid?
