Subject: Shadows of Betrayal Past
The Mercenary was amused by the game that Septimus played, goaded by his recuperating ego and the need to at least think himself in control of the situation.
Rex kept a watchful eye upon his family in the hammock to make sure they were not disturbed by the actions of Septimus and his blade.
There was no fear or concern with the blade at his throat as Rex tilted the bottle and let the contents wash over his taste buds and slowly trickle down his throat.
When Septimus had completed his little dance of imagined authority and superiority, Rex merely continued, "Once long ago we both were betrayed by someone we trusted. The smell of betrayal is in the air once again. We are not enemies to one another friend Septimus ... only enemies of our own well being from our own self inflicted wounds."
Rex arose from his chair and walked to the door adding, "Perhaps you will remember the time when our paths were entwined in conspiracy and bloodshed. We will talk of such things another time. For now I must attend to the needs of my family ... and you have a destiny to fulfill beyond this very door!"
Rex politely opens the door and motions for Septimus to exit with no ill will regarding his conduct with the sword at the Mercenary's table. Allowing for Septimus to have a final word if he chooses, Rex locks the door behind the departing Septimus and then drains the Rum bottle and stretches himself across the bed to rest himself for the challenges that are certain to soon present themselves!

..... I will be able to send something and I will send the info to Sep as well as George and the lady with the pistol so that everyone has some type of idea what is going on with Rex!
Just for a teaser, Rex does know Sep from a long time ago and somehow they were connected with an event where Rex suffered the loss of his wife and children!
He went ballistic and now has his little family [his weapons!] who are not defenseless like his murdered family!
He is not quite all there as you can see!
When I started the character I informed George that I wanted to create a character in the memory of my own father, but I am taking quite a creative license beyond the actual memories of my dad, who died back in 1993 the day after Fathers Day!
Like I said, I will PM information to everyone and George can twist us in the wind as he has a diabolical plot to employ in this adventure from what he is inferring!
By the way, ANY Suggestions are Welcome for Consideration!

..... new character for me, but I will need some help creating one!
I might consider using the one I was saving if Trip ever did a second adventure!
So is there a limitation on Classes?
Are Specialist Wizards allowed in your adventure?
Do Wizards etc have to memorize spells from a book or do you allow them to already know their spells and just use them when they need to?
Not sure what type of character I would run in this new adventure, but depends upon the adventure!

Subject: Yes if you read the update closely ...
..... that whole sequence was a day dream ... so the confrontation was just in Evil Eye's mind and he snapped out of it when Flirty's Paladin spoke to him!
Therefore the NPC has no need to respond to something that was in Ezlarog's mind that he is unaware of, so I will try those undo italics thingies and edit a subhead to make it somewhat clearer for everyone!
Because you may notice that Ezlarog was in the act of laying a passionate kiss on the Paladin when he snapped back to reality and just kissed her hand etc!
Guess I better not make my writing so complicated and intricate?
