The purchases at the Banquet from the Mad Dog Muldoon Specialty Shoppe are from the 5000 Gold Coins, so you may want to rethink your strategy here!

Muldoon is observing each character and their decisions for purchases, which plays into the UpDate that I will be writing for the Thanksgiving Holiday time frame!

So the 50 Gold Coins for signing up at the beginning of the adventure has already been dispersed or disposed or deposited or whatever by your character at the beginning!

The 5000 Gold Coins are being spent at the Specialty Shoppe and the 500 Gold Coins have yet to be determined by each character!

Amur ended up with 200 Gold Coins (which I understand he will send to the orphanage anonymously) and Areldor sacrificed all 500 Gold Coins to his goddess Minerva and will have to wait for me to write 'Interlude the Second (Areldor)' before Ziklag finds out what his character receives for doing so!

So when Tohmas and Jaufre both go either together or separately (Ody and Tuned can figure that out via PM to each other!) to the Abalore Arms & Armory with their sacks of 500 Gold Coins, then you will both find out what you will receive and what it will cost each of your characters when I write those Interludes, hopefully by the weekend

Subject: Interlude the First (Amur)

Amur Wears His Eye Patch
World of Aihrde
Region of Aachen
City of Heristat
Abalore Arms & Armor
Early Afternoon on Tuesday
Marrero 16, 101awd (After Winter Dark)

The next day after the banquet, Amur went out on the town and found a shop that sold armor and weapons. Before walking in, he made sure this eye patch was on; he thought his connection to Mad Dog might garner him a little advantage in pricing on his purchases. He looked around and inquired about leather armor, something special, and also he wanted some kind of Light Crossbow, possibly a one-handed crossbow like he had seen once. He had purchased some silver bolts from Mad Dog and needed something with which to shoot them.

Amur had been searching the streets of Heristat for the past two hours, seeking a likely place to purchase some type of Special Leather Armor and either a Light Crossbow or hopefully, if his bag of 500 Gold Coins that the Stout Hearts had so graciously shared from their reward for discovering the fate of 50 former comrades in arms, along with the weapons of proof of their grisly demise, would perchance be enough to procure a One-Handed Crossbow like he had once seen a few years ago.

The young Rogue did not want to attract too much attention to himself, so he acted as if he were merely a tourist viewing the parts of the city that others rarely visited in their travels. He was deeply amused once or twice at the offers for manual labor for a few hours, in exchange for a meal and a few coin, but Amur already had a fine room and plenty to eat for the next two weeks, before sailing off into the unknown once again on The Toothless Dragon.

His curiosity drew him to a rather obscure side street, deep within the heart of the city, so without another thought, he slipped through the shadows in search of his sought after weapon and armor.

A few moments later, he found himself standing in front of a rather nondescript building with a battered old sign badly in need of paint or replacement that read: Abalore Arms & Armor.

Amur thought a moment or two, considering to move along in search of a more likely place to find what he was looking for, but his experience had taught him that some of the greatest treasures may be found in the most unlikeliest of places.

The young thief took a deep breath, then decided to put on his eye patch with the red toothless dragon maw, in case the proprietor inside was on friendly terms with Mad Dog Muldoon, and in turn by his association from wearing the eye patch, he might gain a reduced price on his hopeful purchase!

Slowly exhaling, he pushed the door open and was greeted with the smell of an exotic incense!

The décor of the inside of the room was far from what Amur had expected, as he quickly surveyed his new surroundings.

The size of the room was modest at best, with a cozy table in the center, accomodating four tavern-type chairs. There was a counter on the far side of the wall, near a curtain that apparently led to some type of merchandize inventory area.

Mounted heads of various orcs, goblins, ogres and other adversaries that an adventurer may encounter over the course of a long journey into unknown lands, were on display in no particular order on all four walls of the room, enhancing the foreboding atmosphere with lit torches to light the area.

Also on display were various broken specimens of spears, arrows, bolts, blades and a variety of pieces of armor etc from battles unknown.

As the young thief took in the unexpected view, an elderly gentleman with battle scars and a missing left arm limped his way into the room, from the area behind the curtain, with the aid of a cane.

He motioned for Amur to take a seat at the table and inquired if he would care to join him in an informal lunch of bread and cheese, with a tankard of ale to help wash the taste of the city out of his throat, while they discussed possible business?

The elderly gentleman, of course, was Abalore. His apprentice-helper was a Gnome named Ody, who eagerly waited on the two at the table, anticipation growing in his eyes that an interesting deal was in the making between the two!

During the course of their chat, the young thief revealed that he only had a bag of 500 Gold Coins with which to hopefully acquire both a suitable Crossbow and hopefully, Special Leather Armor.

He described his journey with the Stout Hearts and the encounters with the Skeleton Pirates, Beaked Dragon and their harrowing escape from The Stomper.

Then he lamented that there was nothing in the way of armor available for one with skills such as his, when he had to make his purchases at the Mad Dog Muldoon Specialty Shoppe the previous night, which was why he was searching the city for these items.

Abalore smiled and assured Amur that he had indeed come to the right place, as the elderly gentleman removed his hand from the top of the cane, sliding it down the slender shaft and then raising it in full view, pointing the head of the cane towards the eye patch worn by the young thief.

The head of the cane was in the carved shape of a Toothless Dragon with an Open Maw!

Then for the next few minutes, Abalore described scenes of battles and somewhat sketchy scenarios of possible dangers that the party of Seekers might find themselves encountering on the Unknown Mainland to the west, across the Sea of Shenal, making a point of waving his cane in the air and pointing to the various heads on the walls and broken weapons around the room.

Then he called for Ody, whispered something into the wide eyed Gnome's left ear, causing his helper to gaze curiously at the young thief, before he scampered off into the area behind the curtain!

Abalore then announced that for the price of 300 Gold Coins, he would make the proper contribution of equipment that Amur would be needing to help him survive whatever 'Haint' or 'Taint of Evil' the Seekers may encounter!

The transaction was to be a 'step of faith' for the young thief, as Abalore insisted that Ody would not return from behind the curtain, until the transaction was agreed upon!

So sight unseen, Amur handed over 300 Gold Coins to Abalore, wondering all the while if the elderly gentleman had some type of foresight in knowing what the Seekers would be encountering in the unknown lands to the west, or if he was merely a crazy old man, whose sanity had left him long ago, in a far away nameless realm?

A short while later, the young thief was headed back to the Toothless Dragon Tavern. He was now the proud owner of a specially crafted One-Handed Crossbow and a Special +5 Leather Armor!

Note from the Castle Keeper:
Archangel has the liberty of describing the One-Handed Crossbow and the Special +5 Leather Armor when Amur returns to the Toothless Dragon Tavern and shares his good fortune with the rest of the Seekers!

Some Clarifications from reading your post:

“I dislike the look of this very much. Folk in their apparent state would have cozied themselves away somewhere in Crandel given this weather, don’t you think?” Stated Galardil. Blair was alarmed once more and his hands went back to his weapons, whenever the usually jovial Khord had a serious tone often trouble loomed.

1. Galardil did not say this: it was the Sylvari Mage Jarenion played by Eol.

2. Galardil is a Half Syl, not a Khord.

3. Galardil does wield a Khord War Club (gifted by a Khord Cleric of Kith-jora) but he is a Half Syl character.

11th Sempore (Thirkday), 453 E.R.
Woods near the village of Crandel (west of the Indigo river, near the Sendrian border)

Galardil took note of the command from the Bladesinger, positioning himself at the edge of the woods on the right hand side of the muddy dirt track road, squinting through the drizzly mist to determine whether the approaching Shamblers be dead, or living?

The Half Syl Cleric of Kith-jora kept his sling at the ready in his left hand, while positioning his Khord War Club in his right hand, making certain that the Holy Symbol would be facing the Shamblers, should they prove to be Unliving!

Raising his club to his right shoulder, he paused only long enough to thoughtfully stroke with his fingers the Emerald Gem braided in the long strands of his blonde hair that passed near his scarred, but fully functional, emerald hued right eye.

Then he waited for the approaching Shamblers to make their identities known; whether they be Living or Unliving, making himself ready to spring into action to Turn Undead.

Your Shaman can buy the Silver Elf Long Sword and since he can use Bows he can stock up on some Silver Arrows of course, but the Armor he cannot.

So there are the Wands and the Potions to complete the spending of your entire 5000 Gold Coins to purchase!

Now having said that, Amur is in the same boat regarding not being able to purchase any of the Armor as he needs Leather Armor.

I have started working on a Post (not sure if I can get it finished today ???) that resolves that issue for him!

This will also resolve the issue for Tohmas also!

Yes you can use the Hand Axe for your character!

After you read the upcoming Post from me titled 'Interlude the First (Amur)' you will know what to do and where to go to get either a Leather or Hide Armor along with an appropriate Hand Axe (or even a special Tomahawk) with the 500 Gold Coins that you have in your room from what the Stout Hearts have chosen to share with you!

I neglected to describe the Emerald Gem in his braided hair that comes down over or near his right eye, but I will hopefully remember to include that in my next post after everyone posts and Olan provides an update!

Thus Far, Great Posts Everyone!

Rae had the exact response (that was intended by my post) to Galardil shouting '... May Be Unliving!'

He is not 100% sure, but has had dealings in the past with Skeletons and Zombies, but mainly with Orcs and his most hated of foes Goblins!

Subject: Rain, Mud, Stones and ???????

11th Sempore (Thirkday), 453 E.R.
Woods near the village of Crandel (west of the Indigo river, near the Sendrian border)

... 37 ... 38 ... 39 ... 40 ...

Galardil was silently counting the stones he stooped to pick up, while his comrades ahead of him slogged their way through the drizzly mist and mud along the 'dirt track' of a road as the adventurers slowly made their way through the oppressive atmosphere, on their way through the woods to the village of Crandel.

... 41 ... 42 ... 43 ...

The Priest of Kith-jora was thankful for the one good thing in the midst of this miserableness. At least he was finding the type of stones that over the years had proved to be the most effective for use in battle with his trusty sling!

... 44 ... 45 ... 46 ... 47 ...

Yes, these were fine stones for battle!

In his left hand, he held his Khord War Club that had been gifted to him years ago by a fellow Cleric of Kith-jora, 'Loco' Fungihammer, complete with the Holy Symbol of Kith-jora engraved in the 'sweet spot' to greet foes upon impact in close quarters combat, was his pride and joy, ever ready for especially bashing the skulls of vile, disgusting Goblins!

But the Half Syl had learned long ago, over the course of his 77 years, that carrying plenty of stones in his pouch for his trusty sling, were sometimes more useful as a means to battle from afar, without putting himself in harms way!

Yet the thrill of battle always surged through his athletic 5'10" 150 pound frame when he wielded his Khord War Club in the heat of battle!

... 48 ... 49 ... 50 ... better keep this last one at the ready!

Galardil was now satisfied that he had enough stones in his war pouch , now with one gripped tightly in his right fist, turning his attention fully to the circumstances at hand. He had begun to feel uneasy nearly an hour ago! Having spent years out of doors, experiencing many types of weather, witnessing the fury of nature first hand, was all a part of the natural flow of life in serving Kith-jora.

But today this almost oppressively thick mist simply felt unnatural. Wrong. Something is Wrong!
Entirely Wrong! Strange Sounds! Strange Shadows!

Not even Goblins would be out in weather like this!

Galardil quickened his pace to catch up with his friend Jarenion and the young man Ta'Arms with his faithful companion Dog.

Ordinarily, the Kith-jora Priest would engage the two in conversation to help pass the time, but not this particular day! He did not even take the time to play 'fetch' with Dog. Something was puzzling the Half Syl and he did not want to alarm the others falsely, until he was quite sure!

He lifted the Eye Patch with a Kith-jora Holy Symbol emblazoned upon it, exposing the scar above and underneath his right eye from which he could see clearly, squinting with both of his Emerald hued eyes and straining his pointed ears, as he transferred his Khord War Club to his right hand, enabling him to secure his trusty sling in his left hand, before placing his new found stone in the sling, in case it was needed to help keep a foe at bay!

It was then that he heard the mage Jarenion voice his mind in response to the shambling figures slowly emerging their way through the mists, heads down, seemingly oblivious to the approaching company of friends and advenurers:

“I dislike the look of this very much,” Jarenion said, now, the brim of his hat inclining to indicated the oncoming knot of mist-cloaked figures as his hand dipped into his satchel and found purchase around a sizeable stone secreted there, “Folk in their apparent state would have cozied themselves away somewhere in Crandel given this weather, don’t you think?”

Galardil nodded in agreement as he gritted his teeth and quickly made his way to the outskirts of the woods to the right hand side of the muddy dirt track of road, passing each of his comrades as he pressed further into the edge of the woods.

Drizzly mist dripping from his almond colored skin, his blonde pony tail matted against his leather armor that was secured over his Syl War Tunic, both fortunately keeping his shirt dry from the mist, but his sweat underneath his apparel was slowly dampening his shirt.

His soft boots kept his feet dry, but the rain and mud was spotting his dampened pants by the second as he broke into a run along the outskirts of the woods, his mind racing:

I have seen creatures such as these! Not often have I seen them! But enough to know from past battles what they seem to be!

"To Arms My Friends! Yon Figures in the Mist May Be Unliving!"

Hey Ziklag

You have overlooked the obvious choice Here:

Wand of Cure Serious Wounds (50 Charges) /3d8 /5,000 Gold Coins

A wand that will make a difference in your comrades lives!

Also, you do have another 500 Gold Coins from which you may be able to go to a Minerva Temple, use whatever portion of them you want to use to ignite with your 'Fire Stick' and the remainder can be used to acquire whatever you and I agree upon!

Let me know what type of Magic Item from the Minerva Temple you are interested in acquiring and we will work something out, but for now, exchange your 5,000 Gold Coins reward for the Wand of Cure Serious Wounds (50 Charges) /3d8 /5,000 Gold Coins
