Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Again
Subject: Run

As Finarsil was about to cast Heal upon herself, a great commotion ensued from the Fireball that was unleashed, her keenly trained High Elf ears were quick to discern from the midst of the sound of the falling ceiling the unmistakable cry to "RUN" and so she did.

((OOC: Finarsil heads for the 'safest' refuge with her companions; whereupon, she plans to cast upon herself the Heal Spell, hopefully removing all traces of the serious wounds she has received from the Leeches, before attending to Max or anyone else in need.

She positions herself in the relative safety of her more battle equipped companions, ready to respond to any further threats with her Flute in hand.))

The 'Well' is not just a common water well, but perhaps a deep labyrinth that they have to descend into like entering a dungeon from the roof.

Third Suggestion
Kobalds have stolen the artifact from the Tribe during a raid and your party has to seek them out in their dens and tunnels to retrieve the artifact.

Fourth Suggestion
Much like the previous suggestion, only the artifact has been seized by Lizard Men during a raid or battle with the Tribe and has been carried off into the nearby Swamp.

Well you could have one of them dropped down into a 'Well' because the Tribal Chief did not trust anyone to not steal the artifact.

Secondly, you could have the other artifact secreted atop a mountain where some 'Rocs' have made their nests all around the artifact.

Subject: Healer Heal Thyself

Finarsil had no time to rejoice about the positive affects her Healing Tune had wrought on her unconscious companions and upon herself.

The pain and discomfort of the Leeches burrowing into her skin was not only unpleasant, but reminded her of the many tales of former Bards who valiantly tried to save their comrades, rather than tending to their own wounds, only to lose their lives needlessly.

Those Bards of old could have ministered to their own hurts and wounds, so they could live on to help their companions in battle, but they all died, because the Bards lacked the proper understanding of the necessary actions for balancing personal preservation with aiding wounded comrades.

The High Elf Bard had long ago lost count of the times she had exhorted her students to take the time to preserve their own lives, so they would be able to live on and help their companions to live also.

Holding her Flute with her left hand, her thumb curled around the circumference of the Flute, she quickly pressed both her left hand and right hand against each side of her face, as she recited a Healing Poem to free herself from the curse of the Leeches:

"Ye' Cind Hear My Plea
"Let My Body Be Free
"From These Leeches , Please
"As I Cast Cure Disease!"

((OOC: Finarsil casts Cure Disease upon herself, holding each hand to the sides of her face, while she alertly watches the actions unfolding against the Tentacles, so she will be ready to respond and react to once more aid her comrades against their foes!

Her Flute is held in her left hand, thumb curled around the circumference of the Flute, as both Flute and Left Hand are pressed against the left side of her face, while her Right Hand presses against the right side of her face.))

If I conserved the 3 times to play the Flute to do Mass Healing and Finarsil ended up dying, then no one else would be able to use the Flute because only a Bard of Ye' Cind is able to play that tune!

Subject: Finarsil on the Flute with Feeling

Fortunately for Finarsil the High Elf Bard was still conscious from the thoroughly unexpected results of attempting to rescue the Hunter Elves!

Although seriously wounded from the Leech Gore that splattered her, she drew upon her experience from previous adventures, helping her to shut out the pain sweeping her body, while she began playing an Old Elven Tune of Healing on her Ye' Cind Flute!

As she played, she moved to a more centralized location in hopes of ministering a Mass Healing to all of her comrades with a Healing Tune of the Mass Cure Light Wounds to aid both herself and her allies!

She was not sure if the Healing Tune would inflict any damage against either the Leeches or the Menacing Tentacles, but she was more than sure that the Healing Tune would aid and hopefully ease the suffering of her companions!

"May the Healing Tune of Ye' Cind Grant Healing Mercy to My Friends and Repulse Our Foes!" were the foremost thoughts of the High Elf Bard as she played the Mass Cure Light Wounds Healing Tune on her Ye' Cind Flute.

((OOC: Finarsil is able to cast a Mass Cure Light Wounds 3 times per day with her Flute, so she is hoping that her suffering companions will receive Healing or at least be revived from unconsciousness, so another Healer has the opportunity to restore the Health of the suffering!

In addition to easing her own pain and restoring her own health, the High Elf Bard is hoping that the Cure Light Wounds Healing Tune will somehow inflict damage against any surviving Leeches and if possible, against the Menacing Tentacles that are writhing in their direction!))

Subject: Play a Tune in Time of Trouble

Finarsil had slung her Long Bow across her back and summoned her Ye' Cind Flute from its hidden pouch inside the Bracer of Ye' Cind on her right wrist.

She had taken a position to help Jarenion, standing ready to cast a 'Feather Fall' spell to help lower the unfortunate Hunter Elves from their precarious predicament, while ever alert to react to the unexpected.

Her Flute and the High Elf Bard had become as one over the years, through good times and bad, their years of experience together causing them to harmonize as one entity in times of trouble!

As she watched Arien and Lun spring into action to help free the Hunter Elves, the drama unfolding above her head qualified not only as a 'bad time', but a 'time of trouble'!

The six bodies fall, or rather the "ropes" that holds then lengthen and they drop about ten feet dangling on blank tentacles covered with small suckers and barbs on them. Then the serpent like appendages reel back and with a snap, hurl the bodies of the hunters in unison at the party below.

Now unburdened from their former prey; the black tentacles move toward the Knight and the Priestess with lightening like speed.

The High Elf Bard and the Ye' Cind Flute flowed as one in reaction to the sudden peril hurtling towards the party below, as a 'Rally Tune' was called upon the Flute, blanketing the area with the notes and melodies of an Urgent Call to Arms!

((OOC: When a Rally is called on the Flute, allies gain +2 to hit, saving throws and +3 to morale.

Finarsil stands her ground as she continues to play her Flute in an effort to Rally Her Comrades and Aid Them in Their Time of Trouble!))
