Topic: Blacktooth Ridge Q&A
Subject: Formal Greetings

Formal Greetings to the new guys since Dok pulled through from his near-death experience!

Dok will probably head into the Woods to find a place suitable for setting a trap against any pursuing foes!

Subject: Back from Death's Door

Dok slowly regained consciousness as his spirit and body made its way back from Death's Door to find himself back on the other side of the river.

He nodded to his nearby companions and the stranger by his side, before fumbling around in his back pack for something to quench his thirst; whereupon, finding what he was looking for, the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm took a long, slow drink, enjoying the small pleasure of sustenance flowing down his throat into his belly.

((OOC: If his Healing Potion is enough to restore Hit Points, without wasting the contents of the Healing Potion flask, then Dok drains the Healing Potion, but if it goes past the Hit Points needed for restoration, then Dok is merely drinking water to revive himself))

Hey Dragon

It could be or from Back to the Future Trilogy, but a play on words for Doctor as a Cleric reference

I watched the Back to the Future Trilogy the past couple of days on Peacock Plus streaming service

Subject: Fever Dream

Dok was slowly drifting away, ever closer to the unknown death realm, barely conscious that he was unconsciously drifting away from the harsh reality of Blacktooth Ridge and his companions efforts to save his life; as the merciless fingers of a fever dream overtook him in wildly distorted past, present and future scenarios; warping any tangible consciousness of the semblances of reality that the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm may or may not be holding onto, as his life-thread slowly unraveled inside him!

Through the haze and confusion clouding his now-foggy mind, a distant, but seemingly-familiar voice was distortedly-drifting on the fluttering wings of the wind of uncertainty, that vied for Dok’s attention in the midst of reasonably unreasonable realities and unrealities, as his body suffered silently in the blackness of the colorless kaleidoscope of colorful collusions of delirious delusions.

“Dok … ”

The voice seemed to trail off into nothingness, but there was something strangely familiar about the tone and relentlessness of the firm resolve of the voice.

“Helm will help!”

Dok seemed to be drifting further away.

“I will help!”

A familiar shadowy figure seemed to be venturing forth on a quest from the Temple of Helm, where Dok and a close friend had trained together and fought together, before Dok had departed on his own quest that had led him to Botkinburg.

An answering question floated to the foremost of the unconscious consciousness of the stricken Cleric of Helm: … is that you … is that Drokk … could it be … you?

Blackness was the only forthcoming answer … at least for now!

Subject: As Dok Slumped To The Ground

As Dok slumped to the ground from the onlsaught of the Gnolls, the Hill Dwarf Cleric made a silent prayer to Helm, as consciousness slipped away from him!

"I put my life ... and future ... in your hands!"

Subject: Hero Or A Fool

Dok had no time to determine if he was being a Hero or a Fool as the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm stood his ground with a renewed determination to strike his foes with his Spiritual Weapon and unleashing another First Level Guiding Bold on a straight path toward those foes hidden in the mouth of the cave!

Topic: Blacktooth Ridge
Subject: Dok Stood His Ground

As Soledad unleashed a Fire Bolt at the nearest creature, Dok stood his ground, focusing his Spiritual Weapon at the nearest threat to himself and the retreating party!

((OOC)) Dok concentrates his attack with Spiritual Weapon at any living opponent that is unaffected by the Sleep Spell. If there are now only the sleeping opponents, then Dok uses his Spiritual Weapon to attack the Gnoll. If the sleeping Gnoll is already dead, then Dok attacks a sleeping Goblin! ((OOC))

Secondly, instead of attacking with his silver-coated battle axe, the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm decides to unleash another 1st level Guiding Bolt with the mouth of the cave being his target reference! Dok is hoping that Helm guides his aim swift and true, so that any emerging or unseen opponents are eliminated before they can enter the fray!

Subject: Dok Stood His Ground

Dok stood his ground as he concentrated his Spiritual Weapon against the Gnoll ((If Still Alive))  or the nearest living target to the Gnoll, as the Hill Dwarf Cleric brandished his silver-coated battle axe to execute his nearest foe, convinced that he could not successfully out-run his opponents!

Topic: Blacktooth Ridge Q&A
Subject: Dok

Dok is inclined to stand and fight because I am not so sure that running will be the thing for him to do because of his short stature

Question: Dok is using Spiritual Weapon and does that allow him to keep using it while also unleashing another Bolt spell ???

Subject: Best Gnoll Is A Dead Gnoll

Dok was thinking that the Best Gnoll is a Dead Gnoll, so he concentrated his Spiritual Weapon to execute either one or both of the Gnolls that were caught in the web!

The Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm also utilized his silver-coated battle axe to execute the nearest Goblin or Goblins!

Subject: Dok Had Succeeded

Dok had succeeded in protecting Soledad, but not before suffering injuries in the heat of battle!

The Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm maintained the focus of his Spiritual Weapon spell to help eliminate any and all attackers!

((OOC: Dok continues to engage the closest threats and will attack the Gnoll with his Spiritual Weapon if it is still alive in spite of previously being ensnared in the Web spell))

Topic: Blacktooth Ridge
Subject: Dok Braced Himself

Dok braced himself for the imminent onslaught, his silver-coated battle axe at the ready, while he breathed another prayer to Helm to enable him to unleash an effective counter-attack with his trustworthy Spiritual Weapon spell,  in hopes of stemming the tide in favor of himself and his comrades, especially Soledad who could ill afford another devestating strike from the Goblins or Gnoll.

((Dok unleashes his Second Level Spell Spiritual Weapon against any and all attackers in the vicinity of Soledad))

EDIT: If Soledad has succeeded in separating herself from any immediate harm, then Dok concentrates on any immediate danger to himself, which he hopes is the best course of action to aid all of his party members!

((Dok still unleashes his Second Level Spell Spiritual Weapon against any and all attackers in his vicinity, if Soledad is out of immediate danger / especially if Dok is now between the attackers and Soledad after she makes her move!))

Topic: Blacktooth Ridge
Subject: Charging and Snarling

As Dok stood ready with his silver-coated battle axe to defend himself and others against the onrushing Goblins, the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm decided it may be better to unleash a Guiding Bolt into the Vargorg, after his other companions were in the clear.

However, when Dok saw the two Gnolls charging and snarling from the smoke that was obscuring the mouth of the Vargorg, the Hill Dwarf Cleric of Helm made a quick decision in the heat of the impending battle.

Dok unleashed a 1st level Guiding Bolt spell directly towards the Gnoll that was on his right-hand line-of-sight as Dok faced the Vargorg, praying a battle-inspired prayer to Helm, as the Hill Dwarf Cleric prepared to follow up with another spell if time allowed, or at-the-ready to defend himself with his silver-coated battle axe, depending upon the results of his companions-in-arms!

I do not think we have much of a choice! Probably better to stand our ground and fight, rather than everybody trying to scramble down a crowded path with evil on our heels!
