Subject: In To The Night...
Moving out between Romo and Captain, Doc kept pace as their small squad took to the trees to stay out of sight of the road.
As the night drew on the clouds shut out the moon light and turned to a cold rain, settling in and it made travel miserable.
The wet ground turns footing to just a series of hazards. The cold and tension from having to push through is straining Doc's nerves and fatigue is starting to overtake him.
After about four hours they come across a lane moving away from the road.
He clearly hears the lilt of music and sees a glow of light seeping through the trees.
Then he hears a female scream that seemed stifled.
A flash of a scene back of his sister backing away from his stepfather crosses through Jacks mind.
Doc is moving in the direction of the scream.
Romo stopped him as he was moving back to talk to the Captain.
Reluctantly Jack pulled up to listen to Romo’s orders.

Can we tell if the lights down the road are car lights or house lights? If we hear the muted scream we should be close enough to tell. My thought is if it's a car then we head down or toward the road, if a house then away from the road.
Never Mind
Went back and reread it and decided it didn't matter. We were moving up the lane anyway.

Well count on Pit to be honest.
I really like having the strip back and I know Lyra's concept of the characters would be hard to follow seamlessly. So I agree that if Annick wants to try her concept then go for it.
If you look at any cartoonist early work their characters look very different.
Just look at Charlie Brown.
But I'm thrilled with Annick's work.
And I don't care what Pit says, Olan's puns are the bomb.

I first hear about "Dutch Courage" on a show about making Gin.
In 1650 Franciscus Sylvius, a Dutch doctor, created Dutch gin in an attempt create a diuretic medicine. This was then used by soldiers in the Thirty Years' War by English troops and was an instant success for its warming properties on the body in cold weather and its calming effects before battle. Because of the effects of Dutch gin English soldiers fighting in the Dutch Republic in the 17th century apparently called the drink "Dutch Courage".

Subject: So much for bringing flowers....
Granted: beautiful, lush greenery of Imasoras now grows prolifically around your Rust Monster Pit. Unfortunately the monster keeps spitting on the Imasoras and it soon withers and dies. The rotting foliage generates a toxic fume the falls into the Rust Monster pit and chokes the Monster and it dies a slow coughing death. Oops, there goes your intruder deterrent system.
I wish for a light sucker.
