This story may not be rushing along but it is good read.

we are getting three lines going and if Roger builds a seperate one for Steph and Cat it could be four.

Now need Tann to breath some more life into JC he might move out and find loverboy or the brothers. Finding the girl he knew might get him into the crew quarter for more intel.

Don't forget the "Silver Screen" with possibly "you know who" coming back.

Here is what I sent to Nimu as an idea of to do to help heal the Blackfire damage.

Here is a spell the will help after the wight attack.

Restoration (Reversible)
Level: 7 Sphere: Necromantic [Necromancy]
Range: Touch Components: V, S
Duration: Permanent Casting Time: 3 rds.
Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw: None

When this spell is cast, the life energy level of the recipient creature is raised by one. This reverses any previous life energy level drain of the creature by a force or monster. Thus, if a 10th-level character had been struck by a wight and drained to 9th level, the restoration spell would bring the character up to exactly the number of experience points necessary to restore him to 10th level once again, restoring additional Hit Dice (or hit points) and level functions accordingly. Restoration is effective only if the spell is cast within one day of the recipient's loss of life energy, per experience level of the priest casting it. A restoration spell restores the intelligence of a creature affected by a feeblemind spell. It also negates all forms of insanity. Casting this spell ages both the caster and the recipient by two years.

The reverse, energy drain, draws away one life energy level (see such undead as spectre, wight, and vampire, in the Monstrous Manual). The energy drain requires the victim to be touched. Casting this form of the spell does not age the caster.

Our cleric can help restore these:
Maximus: Seriously wounded and down four constitution points (11)
Finarsil: Seriously wounded and down three constitution points (10)

I think we have to do a cure disease to stop the black burning first.

Cure Disease (Reversible)
Level: 3 Sphere: Necromantic [Abjuration]
Range: Touch Components: V, S
Duration: Permanent Casting Time: 1 rd.
Area of Effect: 1 creature Saving Throw: None

This spell enables the caster to cure most diseases by placing his hand upon the diseased creature. The affliction rapidly disappears thereafter, making the cured creature whole and well in from one turn to 10 days, depending on the type of disease and the state of its advancement when the cure took place. (The DM must adjudicate these conditions.) The spell is also effective against parasitic monsters such as green slime, rot grubs, and others. When cast by a priest of at least 12th level, this spell cures lycanthropy if cast within three days of the infection. Note that the spell does not prevent reoccurrence of a disease if the recipient is again exposed.

The reverse of the cure disease spell is cause disease. To be effective, the priest must touch the intended victim, and the victim must fail a saving throw vs. spell. The severity of the disease is decided by the priest (debilitating or fatal). The exact details of the disease are decided by the DM, but the following are typical:

Debilitating: The disease takes effect in 1d6 turns, after which the creature loses 1 point of Strength per hour until his Strength is reduced to 2 or less, at which time the recipient is weak and virtually helpless. If a creature has no Strength rating, it loses 10% of its hit points per Strength loss, down to 10% of its original hit points. If the disease also affects hit points, use the more severe penalty. Recovery requires a period of 1d3 weeks.

Fatal: This wasting disease is effective immediately. Infected creatures receive no benefit from cure wound spells while the disease is in effect; wounds heal at only 10% of the natural rate. The disease proves fatal within 1d6 months and can be cured only by magical means. Each month the disease progresses, the creature loses 2 points of Charisma, permanently.

The inflicted disease can be cured by the cure disease spell. Lycanthropy cannot be caused.

Then try:

A cure serious wounds might also be needed to bring back their health.

We onlly have one choice for a move and that is to get over the pit and head down the side tunnel.

"We will go in behind the trucks, check them out to see if there is any clues as to what is what around here and then up the nearest stair to the doorway. Sarge, you take point, Rat and Star, Doc you are with me and McGuiness in the rear. Questions?"

Doc nodded an affirmative to the captain. Captain Edintore was a good man, he'd brought them through their assignments so far, but Doc didn't mind giving him a nudge toward a course of action. Doc also didn't mind sticking close to Star, she was strong, brave and smart. She didn't seem to let ego play into her actions, so Jack fell in as they checked the trucks.

The trucks were empty and they gave no real clues. Nothing much left to do but head up the stairs and into the temple.

The open doorway is illuminated from within by electric lights and he can hear the whirl and puttering of a generator. Doc could also hear something pounding within the temple. There were sounds of grunting and guttural moaning like from the undead before. "Great," Doc thought,"more dead to kill!"

The Shaman sees the Blackfire still consuming Max and Fin. Ody is unsure what will stop this life energy drain but he puts his faith in Mother Earth and calls upon her to grant him the healing power he needs to help his companions. Placing a hand on Max's shoulder the healer draws forth a cure disease spell in hopes it will end the drain of life. If this works the same can be done for Fin. Once the Blackfire is stopped other healing can be applied as they escape.

Ody was wondering if he might have to help the Dwarv leap the pit to escape down the side tunnel.

Well if we have a chance to stop and do some healing I think I might have found something. I was looking it up a while ago and now I have to find it again. The healers have a real challange helping these two. It might take multiple healing spells in combination.

Oh BTW if you all want to survive.... protect the healers!!!!

Jon looked over at Angela. Her eyes were flickering around, noting all her surrounding and the passings of people. No detail seemed to be missed by the payload specialist. Then she said simply, "Casino."

Jon gave Angela a questioning look.

Angela smiled, "The casinos. ,Alliance keeps a tight leash on gambling activity in the verse. They would be monitored by the alliance gaming commission so there would have to be ports there. Video feeds, security stations. The best place would be the casino. Shall we?"

"Yeah, but there would be a lot of eyes watching those ports, wouldn't that just be tougher?"

Stephanie gave a little chuckle. When Jon looked at her she glanced at Angela's dress. Jon cleared his throat, "Oh..yeah,Ok then, the casino it is." Jon fumbled with the brochure, "Let's see the canino is," As he looked up Angela was already on the move. "Yeah,that way."

The small group entered the gambling palace. Lady luck had never been a friend to the Captain, at least not when he was wishing for it. He was starting to think this might be a bad idea. About then he saw a small knowing smile come across Angela's face and he really got worried.

The evil that has inhabited this tomb had been entrenched for so long that the simple attempt to turn the skeletons was futile. Mother earth held the dark to prevent it from spending across the land but here they near where the dark was contained. Mother's strength would be strained to hold back the dark, leaving the Shaman to rely on all his skills, strength and the clever use of what would be done on the surface.

Seeing the wights attack Max and Finarsil he saw the creatures touch drew the life essence from its victims. The close space of the tunnel now made melee attack on the skeletons difficult but he would have to chance it. Touching the ring on his ear he let the leaf armor release as he willed his change to the Manbear form. Touching the tatto on his forearm he call forth the great double bladed axe "Apatchin". As Arien stepped passed to assist Kadrin in defending Finarsil the Hybred Priest of the Great Bear welded the great axe in Max's defence. Carefully avoiding the pits Ody brought the blade into play on the ice covered creature.

(O.O.C. The Great Axe, "Apatchin" (One That Comes Back) +3 double Damage Against Tanar'ri . A special weapon for a Shaman when he is in Hybrid form. A magical weapon that appeared in his hand after touching a tattoo on his forearm and calling to it. The great axe of the Guardian Lieut (the guardian of the people) created it to help destroy the creatures created by the Dark, a Tanar'ri Killer. It is + 3 against all enemies, but when facing Demons it is the real threat. The blade glows red in 100' presence when Demons are near to cast back the darkness. Wielder gains a 75% magic resistance to Tanar'ri cast spells.)

I'd say that Jarenion should cast a wall of stone between us and the three on coming wights. We can use the side passage once we have finished the two on our side or prepare to fight the three after.

What if... Grace goes back to Steele's craft and places a bug there???

What if we NPC Tess? I have some thoghts of what she might do with Steele on board.

Grace is caught so she show him some of the ship and Tess can monitor them and protect Lillyianna.

And I really think it will get fun with Angela and yes we will to the casino.

Oh.. I wonder who is on the Firefly???? Wasn't there something about a missing Firefly????
