"Xray machine could see who.. or what.. .is in the box Jonah.." Alaxis paused as she eyes the machine looking it over silently for a moment, "It could work ... if we could get it over to the box.." 

Pops looked the machine and then to the power meter now measuring the battery he had patched into the life support pumping through the box.

"I guess we might get one chance with that. It could draw heavy on the power supply and we could be right back where we were when we got here...but Im game."

Jonah opened the panel to expose the power leads. Testing the curcuits he rigged up a connect to match the power requirement. It would be bad to get that wrong and blow both the machine and the power supply. Using some wire he had from battery patch he connected them to the leads and then to the power supply.

"There you go Doc...set'r up right the first time." Jonah stepped back and let Alaxis do her doctor thing.

I had not really remembered Alex had a portable battery. I don't remember it being announced to the crew so they knew. I had Pops with a portable power supply to help his scanner and activate switches but it didn't have sustaining power, that's why he went back to the shuttle to get a larger source to use on the box.

Alex using his on the logs is not a bad idea.

Jonas watched as Alaxis went through the motions the revive what ever was in the box. He wasn't sure this was the best idea but then he wasn't the Doc. "I understand you want'n to help what'eer be in that box but keep in mind that when it's pumping life again we still gotta it back to Destiny. That box may be the closet thing to a EV suit we got to get'er back."

The more pops thought of possibly using an escape pod to get the box back the less he felt it would work. Although it might have everything needed as a contained self support that ejection mini engine would not be easy to disconnect, all they'd need was to have it blast while trying to remove it from the tube. Yet if the ejection could be disabled they might be to nudge it out the tube, snag her and drag it back to Destiny. It would likely take Wyatt's, Wolf's and his tinkering to pull it off and Jonas didn't know how much time they could spear messing around on this ship.

Jonas continued checking the other equipment, "We might have enough power to get a little action from of this other stuff, you need anything?"

Jonas felt the little stutter that run through the silence of the ship."Wolf must be making some head way, maybe we'll have regular power soon.", the older man thought.

Roger, about the life pods, you say the just foating coffens. As to size would one fit through the shuttle hatch if we puller one from the launch tube and carried it through the ship to the cargo bay? Still toying with the idea of using one as a quarentine pod for the box.

Jonah made his way to the sick bay, do was there watching the contraption attached to an odd looking box. As he walked into the room holding the battery packs," These should get that back up to snuff....likely even have enough fire up something else in here for schoesh if'n ya need....maybe an xray or scan to help figure what's in the box." The old man probed the box's system and it wasn't long before he was able to fix up jumper cables to the rig so he wouldn't blow out the controls. Pops watch he scanner as transferred power to the new power cells. Jonah watch to see the percentage indicator increase.

"Wyatt..we seem to got this thingy stable for the moment. Gonna see if Doc want to try jump a little power to anything else before we figure how to move this box out of here."

Jonas look up to Alaxis,"Well Missy just point out what else you want fired up and I'll pop the panel and see if we can juice it up." Pops waited for Doc's reply as he look around the room. "Heard there were life support pods still down in engineering, might be able to quick rig one of them as some sort of quarantine pod....maybe you can move that box down to one of them and we could tote it back to Destiny. "

Well life support is a good thing. Limited self contained power source. We may be able to work something with that.

Alacrity, do the life pods have propulsion and could be flown back to Destiny?

So here I go again.

Chessy and Tann might want to look closer at the life pods for power or life support. Maybe Doc could fly one back and her and Ivy land it in the cargo bay. It could be sort of a quarentine pod after that.

Just a thought.

Alacrity, do we have a fair idea how long the current box power will last?
Does Pops need to scan to figure power draw and deterime how quickly he needs to switch power source?

He will be scanning the box setup to know how to switch to the shuttle power pack, might need to patch in some electronics to voltage.

Would the batteries being used be chargeable so he boost them to buy a little more time and maybe use the power pack from the shuttle to fire up something else?

Nomad, I had a couple of thoughts for Alex. (Wish I had few more for Pops but)

While Pops is gone he could be checking the equipment in the sick bay. Maybe look at option to use the battery to get other items working. He can have Ivy find specs and send to his PDA. Maybe get into ship's log. Maybe get Pops to use his scanner and power supply to get into log. Maybe nelp Doc by seeing other med stuff could be fired up from the batteryto probe the box.

These can help Fox get info and help Wolf. He can check the life support pods to see there is anything to help with the box in the sick in sick bay. They should have self contained power and atmo equipment that may help.  A life support pod could be use to take the box, if made mobile, back to Destiny while others continue to work.

I'd think Doc has a good idea how to work the other equipment in sick bay and she could decide if using something to check the box is a good idea. Working with Pops and Alex to get more info.

I may have Pops ask some of this stuff in sick bay when he bring the battery.

I'd think Wolf would guess that shutting down the systems by the book was done to save them and make the restart easier because of less damage. As Al said it will take time to bring things up properly. Do we have that much time?
