Topic: The Gobber King- QnA Subject: Maybe Not...But.....
Seeing that these Lizard Men haven't attacked us yet are we going to assume that they will? Anyone have knowledge to tell us they are a natural enemy?
We could just follow until they portal away or we find our next portal. If they break up enough stuff it could lead to the wizard showing up to stop them.
Maybe we direct them to the battle room, they might like that.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: It's A Blue Sunny Day......
Ok, thinking caps back on! Got a bit more infor to nudge this forward. So as I see it the delivering of Lillianna safe and sound is our way in. Basically Step 1.
Not really trying to keep the Princess in the dark, but need to keep Asente in the dark or at least misdirected.
I see three option for the transmitter:
Get Asente to turn it off.
Let Grace play with it. (She might find the frequency useful to trace more information.)
Send it into the black.
We will review the cruise ship layout and find out what we can from Lillianna and Asente about location of interest. (I didn't the docking bay where we would enter the liner.)
Maybe Grace could access its system to find who is where and what's planned where and maybe the likely location of the Colt. She loves to hack systems so.
This would give us better targets on board, access and egress plans and perhaps the emergency get out plan.

Topic: The Gobber King Subject: "Going Down. Down. Down...."
The party stepped through the portal and as Dudley pared to enter a dark room that would alight itself and reveal rows to bottles. But instead they stepped into a light room with smashed bottles and a strange smell. "Oh may, I bet this really ticked off that wine ninga." As they move forward Crow took charge. The cleric her the ranger say,"Alôndas, Dudly, Gamard seek cover as best you can, be ready to support as needed.” Dudley thought to himself finally a order that makes sense.
With that the Cid headed for the down staircase. "The best cover is away from up there."
Dudley felt lucky he had been given a choice.

Topic: The Gobber King Subject: "Keep Your Hands Inside The Ride....."
Crow's comments had made Dudley feel a bit less than regal. The Cid crawled off the throne and joined the party as they decided to move on. The cat had said how he'd taken the portal behind the throne and ended back in the wine cellar, so they were a little surprised to step out into the first room they visited.
"Well this is lucky that we are someplace we know, too bad we don't need a cleaning." The started to follow the little silver pod around the room.
He heard the converstion lean toward going back through the same portal they had used,"Oh, so we'll start this ride all over again." The cleric stopped his amazement with the cleaning michine and again followed the party.

Topic: I found Old Froth 'n' Slosh! Subject: You All Thought I Made That Up.........
It is from the Pittsburgh Brewing Company. It started as a joke commercial for a morning radio show many years ago. (Regis John "Rege" Cordic: Morning drive-time radio host in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; from the late 1950s to the mid-1980s)
Olde Frothingslosh[edit]
One of Cordic's most memorable running gags at both WWSW and KDKA were fake advertisements for "Olde Frothingslosh", "the pale stale ale with the foam on the bottom." The beer was supposedly brewed by Sir Reginald Frothingslosh at Upper Crudney-on-the-Thames. In 1955, Pittsburgh Brewing Company began issuing special Christmas-season cans and bottles of Olde Frothingslosh filled with real beer. Since the Cordic ad read "The foam is on the bottom", the bottles & cans were packed upside down in the cases. The humorous labels changed every year and became favorites of collectors. The brewery (as well as a few other small local Pittsburgh breweries such as Tech Beer) released new editions of Olde Frothingslosh even after Cordic left Pittsburgh, continuing until 1982 and then reviving the brand in 1998, and more recently in 2007 (currently available)
My father was an "Iron City" beer drinker so that's how I first saw it as a youngster.
I changed the spelling to avoid any copyright issues. But seeing it is only in text and not a product for sale I doubt if it would be an issue.

I hope you enjoy this site and find both fun and profit. We have several resident artists that game and do or have done similar art requests. That is why your mentions of art for profit is in the spamvertize section.
So there are those that know better the pricing of character portraits and may be willing to advise you.
I'll be honest and tell you I am a CHEAP old bugger and I look for free stuff. I got my avatar free when another artist on this offered to do some to show his work.
But there are others willing to pay for fantasy art.
In the mean time welcome and I hope you find time to join a game or two. I recommend you read the Pit F(r)iend guide on the home page along with the site terms. They will go far to getting you started here.

Topic: Review of 5e Subject: I Like It............
There is more RP to 13th Age. It seems built around the story and not just hack and slash.
You need to tell "why" you ability is likely to give you advantage, so the better you story the more likely. Say you need "Survival", well you tell how you had to wander the forests as you escaped from your evil master and lived off the land and improved you skills or die.
Say need an "engineering" skill, you could say your town was pressed against the shores of a turbulent sea filled with odd creature that foraged the shore so you grew up have to help with the building of sea walls and barriers to keep back both sea and creature.
I like the story, I play a Gnome Bard and get to act silly at times making the evening a hoot.
The dice still rule as they do in most games but your choices become the story.
Then the escalation die in combat. It helps improve your chances as combat rounds mount. The idea is you get better as you assess the situation and respond.
As you tie in relationships, knowledge and experience the story comes more alive.

Topic: The Gobber King- QnA Subject: Hmmm....
What I thought was after we fought the mice we returned to the main room (the first room) which only had the door we came in and the east portal.
“Might I suggest we use the one in the first room,” He said and without waiting he walked back into the other room and over to the portal, “If there are no objections, I will volunteer to go first.”
I guess I'd have read the south portal as being at the end of the hall to the library not in the main room.
But if it was the south portal I'm good with it.

Topic: Review of 5e Subject: Testers Up...............
Well sometime in the next couple of months we'll be play testing the 5.0 at my tabletop group. Sir Nibbly's dad is our GM and he loves to tryout new systems. So are going to work it in around our 13th Age game. (I play a Gnome Bard, Jerry Cigara)
So once we do I'll report back. I downloaded the PH today to start getting ready. If it is close to 2.0 then I won't be too lost.
We've played:
Dresden (Fate Rules, I play a Werewolf Social Worker Native America in Las Vegas)(Innocents Are not Collateral Damage)
Zietgist (4.0 Variant)
D&D 4.0
13th Age ( d20 variant )
So maybe some news soon.

Who will be the map maker? Ayrn seems to be doing it OOC but we need someone in character. Can Wembley stay focused enough to do that?
The library had the paper on the desk so let's use it and take a moment to sketch each and mark them.
Leaving then by the same portal as before to see if sends us to the wine cellar is ok with me.
BTW I think we used the East portal the first time.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA Subject: Up..........
Got a post up, but I still didn't get a good direction going. Seems like the ideas I think of deal too much with the NPC's.
I see using the Brothers to free Daniel then getting him back on board.
Use Asente to seduce Steele, she could then get her revenge on him.
That would piss off the Baron at Steele too.
While Steele is chasing Asente the brother can steal back the Colt.
Lillianna breaks off the wedding because of Steele chasing the wedding planner and leaves on Destiny crying.
Now Seth is just lost on me.

"Anyway, I am not sure what you mean of the results. We are gonna get that Colt back. I know we can do it and frankly we have to try. I harbour no doubts to Templeton Steele actions in the acquisition of the Colt and the death of my father. I am not asking for your help, I wouldn't ask anyone to stick their neck out for our family business. But if we can help you out in the meanwhile, well I would be much obliged to lend a hand." The brother seemed to answer Catie’s questions but things still were not clear. Tess and Angela had left the galley and JC looked concerned, as Asente wasn’t paying any attention to him.
Grace then chimed in,” “So any more revelations?”……Alright then, I am going to go find a map to this cruise liner because I believe we are going to need one. Should I look for anything else?”
Jon piped in, “Do a quick check on Miss “Okoro”…I don’t think you’ll find much but then who knows.”
Grace left the galley saying,“I’ll be back in an hour, meet you here.”
Looking back over the gathering Jon continued. “Ok, boys you just hang loose. ….Asente, I’m not sure what to do with you. ….. You are just bit too insistent that you are the pivot here…I’m hav’n a hard time believ’n ex-Independence soldiers would put innocents at risk in kidnapping scheme. They’d know how much folk admire Lillianna for her and her mother‘s work out here and they’d have all sides hunting them down..whether she got hurt or not. …Soldiers on both sides had issues with falty weapons so that storey just don’t ring true. It was more likely low level employees cutting corners and taking bribes that led to them poorly made weapons. In the end though it was Steele that looked bad and most likely why he has lawyers up the yingyang, his name was on them weapons, not theirs. But all in all he could have done the right thing and set up funds to help them families that lost kin. So now I don’t care about that land or what’s under it. I don’t care about Steele’s past sins, they’ll catch him someday. “ Jon glanced over at the brother. “A personal score in more easily settled.”
Jon walked around the table.....”We are going to deliver Miss Lillianna safe and sound, but after that we’re available for other services, like ….well we’ll talk more in an hour…..JC why don’t you take Asente back to the gym…..Doctor let us know when Seth can contribute….

I'll get a bit of post of soon.
It will split so the hour Grace needed is covered and we come back to go over it and build a plan.
Roger, would either Lillianna or Asente know the rooms to be used and how they are setup? Like where the wedding is staged, which end is the ceremony, where guest are seated.
Where are the dressing rooms, Steele's room, the Baron's room.
The Colt may be in Steels's room or in vault, so where would the vault be?
Sounds like it's time for another famous Alacrity map, only no hilly stuffy wuffy. 8>)
