I was going to help Tann and put a bit of a post BUT I make a bit of a mistake.

We went for Mexican to celebrate my new job and after three pitchers (not beer) ...well just a bit dull.... I'll try something soon to help Tann.

Tann and I had discussed this a bit and I think it can be a great story line. Even as NPC to Tann it gives good flexibility. As Tactical Officer it added to his experience and fit to the assignment on Discovery.

I like the story plot of two revile groups. There is bound to be injustice there to fit John's subplot. Where Star Fleet may not be able to act "Officially", they my still need a hero. "Hi Ho Peregrine, Away!!!"

So by changing his service record to take off the 2366 assignment to Discovery and adding assignment to the Peregrine someone (like Eol) or I can copy John Britt Reid into the game as a NPC. I hope to be able to pick him up later and it could give Tann a right hand man.

Service Record:
2356 - Enters Starfleet academy,
2360 - Graduates from Academy,
2362 - Assigned an Ambassador class as Ensign, Security Officer
2364 - Promoted to Lieutenant(jr)and Assigned to Saber class U.S.S. Peregrine - Security Officer

It will fit both U.S.S. Peregrine and U.S.S. Discovery Rosters.

Oh great licky sticky you be the one. I was able to add the bio.

For you older comic buffs John Reid was the Lone Ranger and Britt Reid was the Green Hornet (and yes they were related). They both fought for Justice behind a mask. Lt.John Britt Reid was names after them and he fights for Justice for the innocent. That part of the story had not had time to surface in the last game.

As said earlier I'm a bit busy for next couple of months so I can't jump active.... right now. But if you wanted to NPC John Britt Reid and don't kill him off right away...say as junior security officer..I could ..maybe..sort of..take him over later when my time settles down.

Also can I get permission to update his bio on Discovery and then you can pull that into this game.

Just saying.....

I was checking out my old character Chief Security Officer
John Britt Reid for the U.S.S. Discovery and saw his bio was not completed.

I was wanting to update it and add the bio but can not edit. How would I get to his bio and add.

I thought I was logging in but added a sim by mistake.

So I need help fixing my mess.

Subject: La Sigh.............

Got to stay a lurker this time. I just started a new job and will be traveling a bit the next couple of months so I won't have the time to dive into this. I was just getting into how to play my character in the last one when it fizzled. I'm not the best versed on Star Trek RP so it was taking a lot of time for me even though it may not have appeared that way by my posts.

I may have over thought my character by making him a descendant of the Lone Ranger and the Green Hornet. As the Security Officer it was going to get odd as he held up the traditions of the Silver Bullet.

But I will love reading the story.

The party moved from the upside down room to a right side up room. Once again the had to quickly recover before falling to the floor. This chamber seemed odd that it was appearing to have walls removed or changed.

The shaman sees in the center of the room, illuminated by a single bean of light from the ceiling, is a woman, chained to a stone chair and with a black cauldron placed on her head, covering her face and shoulders. She is wearing a simple white dress than is dirty and bloodstained in places. Her figure is definitely feminine. She is however alive as she calls out as you enter the room, "Acererak? Acererak? Is that you? What foul tortures do you have prepared for me this time? You have not broken me yet and never shall!"

As the remaining group gather in the room Sparrow redrew her swords; she is the first to speak to the chained figure. "Who are you?" she asked the bound woman.

Odyson moves carefully around behind the stone chair; as they await the woman's reply he cast a know alignment spell on the woman in hopes of gathering something useful.

I need to go back too and read the intro stuff maybe. Although Al's sum up was pretty good.

I may be over thinking this but i don't get the pot on the head thing. Scooby sense is telling me it is an important clue, but I'm not getting it. If the witches spirit were trapped in cauldron and it was now in this body shouldn't it be strong enough to escape on its own. If she has been being tortured was that to try and prepare a body for one of the witches?

I go along with talking to her before removing the pot. Who is our defacto leader now?
-----------------------------
Ah I see Keeper did ask the woman who she was so gather to wait on the response.

Doc clutched his chest as the waxy female shouted her chant. The pain was so sudden he couldn't react and fall to the floor. Then as a blue light glowed out from where the thing stood he felt the pain subside. Looking over all he could see were the remnants of the waxy body.

Jack got to his feet and quickly looked around to see if any the team needed help. The other were recovering on their own so he just prepared to move on. "Ain't that like a dame..they try to break your heart and then just go to pieces...."

I tend to get caught up in the moment of the story and can forget long past information.

Now to put this together, do others have thoughts on what to do? This is where the more experienced players jump in with good stuff...... you that were in the first game....

Shoot I'm even open to lurker comments and ideas.

Keeper is saying there was gunfire. I just read that hole appeared. Please clarify, was it gunfire or the holy water that Star had at the ready?

I can write to the pain and vision aand the form crumbling, but is there more of a clue as to how it happened?

If Impulse found us then there is hope. And it is interesting that there is little information about play by post.

Is there a way to promote Play by Post and direct interested parties here to learn more?

Can We get on Wiki or something?

They are out there..we just got to get them here.

The Rate The Inn on Dice Roller seems to the last place we were highlighted.

Where can we get some exposure?

Have fun and enjoy a "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh".

Topic: The Death of the Inn?
Subject: Arty, Art ..Art Art.......

I was "drawn" here by the Comics. Searching for D&D Webcomics led to the Inn...the stories and games kept me here.

If there was a way to attract guest artists..newbies that want a forum..that might help. The webcomics that were souly here were great but it just couldn't keep up. Other sites like Erfworld have gone through different artist doing the same characters, we ever did it a little. Now I guess they want paid and there isn't a fund, but could there be a kickstarter or something that funds Loaded Dice?

Perhaps not a continuing story but single panels or Sunday funnies type multi panels. Seeing that I have trouble drawing breath I tend to over simplify, but those visuals are a great draw. (See how I used that again,..hehe.)

This Old Pun maker is staying, it took too long to find the bar here at the Inn and then to step in as Barkeeper.

So even if the Boss brews his own Rebel Brew I'll keep serving our own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh" in the common room until we have a crowd again.

The DM is right, we are just reacting and over thinking.

I just realized no one search the room for hidden doors, controls or switches that might opened a passage or even created the stair to the door.

Got to get our GAME thinking going.

The gargoyles had fled and the party needed to move on before something else tried to corner them in this room. The door out was about twenty feet up the wall and there nothing in the room to help them reach it. Walking to the stone wall the Cleric recalled a spell of change that aid their escape. Placing his hand on the stone Ody prayed to Mother Earth to grant him the spell of Shape Stone. Drawing the stone from the wall he formed series of blocks rising from the floor to the jam of the door creating a stair. Now Max could reach the door to check it for traps, neutralize it and then open a way out.
