Subject: Deploy...........
Been trying to figure a good place to use to stand ready.
Tann, do you think Ash and Wolf should be on the ground or take a position up on the ship's body? There is a little room to hide behind the landing gear or ever in the gear's bay. If we go up we can see the approach but there is less cover.
They might remember Ash hiding up on the tail before. Just don't see a bunch of options.

Dudley followed Alôndas and pushed through the curtain.

Angela continued to amaze Jon as she so naturally asked the guests to give up their weapons. “Now, I’m guessin’ you all have lockboxes for yer weapons, or do you need to use one of ours? Not wanting any discharges during flight, an’ all that. Bad for pressurization.”
The Simons surprising obliged, present a rather hefty arsenal.
Even the wedding offered up what she had,
When group looked to the bodyguard,Seth makes no move to disarm. He continues on with looking over the cargo bay until he realizes that everyone is looking at him. he bows respectful before saying "I cannot allow to be disarmed. I am entrusted with Miss Fairchild's protection. While I appreciate the assistance of the Captain and his crew, it is my honour to protect her I I will not let that fall to another man. I assure you that I will not discharge my weapon without dire need and that it is a pulse plasma gun so it can not harm your ship while on the lesser setting. I do hope this is understood and acceptable as without your consent, I will have to call my employer and tell him this deal and transport is not to continue."
Jon wrinkled his brow a bit, “I’m sure that few photographers won’t warrant you needing to stay so armed.”
The bodyguard took a bit of a more defensive stance, "I am sorry. I thought you were informed. There have been threats on Miss Fairchild's life. Enemies of Mr. Steele and the Baron have sworn that they will abduct her before the wedding. That is why we are doing this late night pick up. Were you not informed of this?"

(confused) employer only said that Miss Fairchild was being hounded by the news people and so we needed to slip out quiet like.” Jon shot a glare to the Simons, “He even said that these gentlemen were just coming along for other business reasons aboard the wedding boat.”
Seth shrugs slightly and continues, "Oh. Well that is the situation. We can cease this arrangement now but I don’t believe your employer or mine would be happy with that. You are no doubt capable men, with some background with this kind of work - hence the need for a public relations man on a transport. "
Jon smiled at JC,” Well cargo needs to be protected, especially the further out you go to deliver it.”
There was silence for a moment as everyone looked to Jon. An awkward silence of a second or two only as Jon could ponder the ramifications of cancelling or going forward. Then Lilianna spoke up in the silence, as if to break the ice.
"I'd really like a tour of your ship sir. I have never been on a firefly before."
The PA crackled to life overhead, “This ain’t a firefly, Princess! This is a Whitefire!“
Lilianna looked up and then to the captain, "Oh. I am sorry. I didn't know. I didn't mean to offend."
Jon winced again turning to Seth, “ Our ship’s Engineer rebuilt most of Destiny by herself and she’s a bit protective. Perhaps not unlike someone calling Hermes Brand Luggage suitcases.” Jon smiled and continued, “ Whitefire ships are rare and we are the fastest freighter in the verse, but we may not have a published deck plan, but we will see what we can find.”
Seth smiled for a brief moment - just a moment and then returned his attention to the matter at hand, "It is good to have pride in one's workmanship. It shows strength of character and commitment. Your crew speak well of you by their actions. Shall we continue on the journey Captain?"
Jon started moving through the cargo bay, “If you’ll follow me I’ll show you the ship.”
“Catie, will you please join us as we escort Miss Fairchild’s party through the ship? JC.. check with Grace and see if she might find a simple deck layout for Mr. Liang.“ Jon started moving through the cargo bay, “If you’ll follow me I’ll show you the ship.”
Catie takes position beside Lilianna, opposite Asante, during the tour. She doesn't stand so close as to be invasive, but she is there similar to a waitress guiding a diner to their table.
She subtly gave reassuring nods to Jon as he gave the tour, recognizing by his body language that he was uncomfortable with it. When they reached the stairway to the guest quarters, Catie spoke up as well.
Jon started the tour with the cargo area and Medical Bay. Taking the lift to the middle deck. As they emerged he point left down the hall“ The galley is at the end of this gangway. The crew quarters are also here. Mr. Simon and Mr. Simon, your room will be up there by the galley.” Turning slightly,” The escape pod are there, " pointing up across the hall, "and Engineering is down this other way.”
The vibrations of the ship leaving Atmo and entering the Black stop and the gentle humm of the engines signal that Tess has the ship under way.
The Simons, still looking rather glum, take off to their quarters as soon as they are shown to them. Other than Rick asking when breakfast would be, they seem happy to be heading to bed.
“Your quarters, Miss Fairchild, are up this private stairs to our two guest rooms…… Mr. Liang, we have partitioned the one room so you can stay there with Miss Fairchild to ensure her safety. Miss Chang you will be in the room next to Miss Fairchild.” Jon really wasn’t use to this tour guide routine but it had to be done. He knew the Princess would naturally expect the Captain of the ship to personally attend to her for a while and…well she did give them STEAKS.” Standing in the hall he gestured up, “ The upper deck is restricted to crew only… for your safety,…as is Engineering.”
Jon then lead the guests and Catie up the stairs to the cabins.
"I've personally seen to the preparations of your rooms." Catie added,. "If there are any amendments you may like in regards to them, please let me know and I will find out if they can be accommodated."
"Oh, thank you, that is most kind." She says but seems very distracted and somewhat lost. She keeps looking to her bodyguard for direction.
Seth seemed very satisfied with the arrangement, "This works well. thank you Captain. If you could have the layout plans brought me as soon as possible, I'd appreciate it."
Lilianna however is not thrilled with the accommodations and the shared room with a barrier between. She doesn't say anything but her face is a mask of rage, sadness and loathing. She pleads fatigue and asks to be left in her room. Before you leave though, she grasps Catie but the hands and says, "Thank you for your kindness. I appreciate all the help you have given me in this matter."
As Asante heads to her room, she asks Jon formally, "Captain, I have a few matters that I must speak to you of some urgency. Could I have a few moments with you alone?" she asks as she enters her quarters and tossed her bag upon the bed.
Jon really needed to get to bridge to inform Tess and Grace of new security information, but he could see the wedding planner had deep concern on her face. He nodded to Catie to stay with Miss Fairchild and then he followed Asante into her cabin. “ Can we be brief, I really need to get to the bridge.”

Well stayed up to keep this moving.
Now need another interplay with Al for the wedding planner, then Jon is off to the bridge, hopefully.

Subject: Tess....
The shuttle gets hit and looses most of it's controls. Tess does some fancy flying by jumping back and forth inside to shift the weight to make it bank and turn taking her over the mountain and out of the fight. The little shuttle slides out of sight and into steep walled creator. Unable to use the comm as all electrical systems fail and unable to climb up the steep creator walls she is left to survive on the meager emergency rations stowed with the medical kit. She is found when the cruise ship company finally sends a rescue teams that reach the planet a month later. By then all traces of the Roc are gone. It was by chance that the rescue ship passed directly over the creator allowing it to pick up a ping from shuttles metal haul.

And the plot thickens! I'll get some filler replies to blank spaces. Respond to the information on the threats.
I'll see about the meeting with the wedding planner. I see it happening after Jon returns from the bridge, just to keep the information flow going. As is I'll need to amend my talk to Tess to let her know about the threats.

I hope you find this little Inn a comfortable haven from stresses of RL. This sight offers so much. I have came here a courious seeker and stayed to become a student. The people have taught me and let me grow. They gave me back my imagination and let me use it. So don't worry too much about intensely learning a new rule sets, just have fun story telling. I see you want to join Trilogy which is "old school" AD&D. Remember 3.0 and 3.5 grew out of 2.0 so the game is similar. I'm sure you can find a free copy of the PH for 2.0 online if you really want to review.
Now to the important stuff. Here's a nice fluffy towel, you may need it if one of regulars is able to be regular again.
Next, here is your Tankard of "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh". As the current temporary bartander it is our own special brew. A stale pale ale so light that the foam is on the bottom.
Your tankard will have a place of honor on the mantel in the Red Dragon Inn Chat Room and Lounge. So when you return to the Inn you can find your Tankard and pull a draft from the Never Ending Keg.

Just then over the ship’s PA Grace’s voice crackled, “This ain’t a firefly, Princess! This is a Whitefire!“

Dudley listened and heard similar stories. He desided to give more details of his experience.
"I walked through the portal and find myself in a grass field. There are no portals, no doors and no one else. The rest of the party was not there. I moved around looking for you, puzzled by why I would end up where you did not. Then, I did find someone in the field – a lady Cidal, with fiery hair and glittering green eyes. Her eyes seem to giggle and laugh while her face seems reflective. Her dress is layers of skirts with practical travelling leather blouse. She was wearing a scarf and pair of gloves in scarlet. On her left hand, is the Ring of Anlain, an artifact of the great bard Anlain whose songs still fill the small gems of the ring. I thought, OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my God! I stand before Shinara herself. I moved to bow or kneel or something that one should do when one finds your own goddess in a field but she takes my
face in her hands and brings me back to her level. She leans towards me and whispers ...
Save me.
Suddenly, a demonic creature, ten feet tall with fiery wings and burning skins rips Shinara from my grasp. The demon holds the goddess in his hand and laughs cruelly while Shinara starts to fade away within its grasp. The creature is feeding off the life of the goddess. Growing stronger by devouring the blessed life of the divine.
I attacked the demon but my weapons are useless, it is too big and powerful and does not even know I am attacking. As my goddess fades away, I feel my own life slipping from my body as if the two were somehow joined or part of the same essence.
I lost consciousness and could not save her. Darkness overtakes me. Them I here with you.
It seems we were all tested to some kind of virtue. I feel we will be met with more tests attuned to that virtue or pitted against it.
I think we are entertainment for something and we were lucky we reacted, had this place felt we are boring we may not have awaken.

Twitchy, Feisty, Spooky, Shady, Gloomy, Grumpy, and Lucky.
You guess who you are, lol.
Grace isn't in trouble. Grace ,Tess and Jon have tight bond and unfiltered comments between them is not unusual. They'll tell each other just what's on their mind and never mean it to be hurtful. I'd say that Jon is so used to their open honesty with each other that is part of why he is missing the signals from Stephanie. She is more use to the social graces and expecting the meaning of what she says and does to be understood, not being as direct.

In normal passenger runs we would limit weapons, but in this case one is a bodybuard and the others are part of our employers group. So releaving them of their weapons won't work. Jon has asked JC and Angela to keep a close watch on the Simons. As for Seth, well he's a wildcard.
But a good point, this might be a point where Angela might state the obvious about not carrying firearms while in flight.
Sort of a safety reminder.

As Jon hauled another truck up the ramp he watch Seth walk over to one trucks where gave the handle a twist and it hovered by itself and man easily moved it up the ramp. As he passes with the two brothers looking at him , he says plainly to the Captain, "Hermes Brand Luggage. I doubt you’ve ever seen one before."
A broad smile crossed Jon’s face and he bowed deeply to the bodyguard, “Gao Guhn (brillent), How Shi Sung Chung. (fortuitous turn of event) My humble thanks, Liang San.” Soon luggage is packed up in short order. As soon as the last box is inside and the main hatch is closing, the security men head to their vehicles and leave,
Lilianna moves to the pile of luggage and pulls out a silver case, slightly bigger than a briefcase and walks over to the captain. "Sir? This is for you. A present. For ummm... well for all your troubles." She hands the case over to the captain. It is labeled "Newtech Cryovac" and it feel cool to the touch.
“Miss Fairchild, you are a most gracious guest and you honor the ship and my crew.” Jon takes the case notes that Lilianna waited expectantly. The Captain popped open the latches and raised the lid, turning so that the contents were also revealed to Miss Fairchild and the rest of the crew.
Inside the case are steaks. 12 thick Porterhouse steaks. Each one is sealed in a plastic vacuum seal and kept at a cool temp of 40 degree F according to the inner readout.
"They are from my step-father's farm. Aged 28 days which is the best, or so I'm told. Anyway, just a token of his appreciation."
Jon’s jaw nearly dropped open,… meat….REAL meat… Jon had not had a steak like one these since he and Stephanie had left the estate she had acquired for them. A breathless “Wuo Duh Tian Ah”(oh my god), slipped from the Captain astonish face. Then quickly regaining his composure he bowed deeply to the young lady, “Sheh Sheh,… your generosity is only exceeded by your beauty.” Jon quickly closed the case and motioned to Angela to come get it to take to the galley.

Stepping on to the bridge Jon shook his head as Tess looked up at him. “I’d never make it as a cruise ship captain. Let’s get outta here and back to the black where we belong. “ Tess start her usual routine and Jon piped in, “She gave us meat!”

Subject: Not Blue Prints.......
When I first read it I was thinking blueprints too, but really what he is asking for it is more of a room location grid. Something like what we have on the Character page.
Cruise ships and regular passenger ships would have them for ease of passengers to find the galley, exercise and rec rooms.
If We were to make one I'd have the upper deck rooms 1 - 4 listed as "Restricted to Crew Only" on the page. The Middle deck listing 15- 16 as "Restricted, Engineering". The rest can be listed.

“The men are here for security and not to move cargo. I would assume that you have people to do that consider your line of work.” Seth says to the captain while watching the two brothers go to work, “However these gentlemen seem very eager to help so the issue resolves itself. Ms. Fairchild’s safety is my priority and I will tour the ship along with her at your earliest convenience. I am not familiar with this class of ship – what is this? I require a schematic of the layout.” He turns to JC, “Mr. JC. Have any security arrangements been made for Ms. Fairchild’s stay?”
Jon wanted to remain respectful but he was miffed.
“Normally cargo is loaded at the port where there is equipment available and passengers usually only have carry-ons.” Jon looked out the guards and knew that they wouldn’t budge. Dragging a chest passed Seth, “ Destiny is a Whitefire Class cargo freighter. I doubt you’ve ever seen one before.” Setting the chest inside the cargo bay he walked back down the ramp to the pile and grabbed a couple of suitcases. “ We salvaged this boat and rebuilt it so there isn’t a layout,.. but if you want to sketch one up that’ll be fine. “ Jon toted the bags up past Seth and deposited them next to the chest and headed back down the ramp. “As for the ship’s tour at “my” earliest convenience?....well that won’t be convenient until these things are loaded. …. So either you can help or just waste time standing there waiting,” Jon smiled and bowed slightly, “Liang San”. He then hefted up a couple more bags and trudged into the cargo bay.
