Subject: Let The Party Begin............

"Party clothes,? Did I really say party clothes. I don't even have anything fancy." Jon rolled his eye as he wondered what he was going to do, then he saw Steph smile and knew she had him covered. Living with her in her villa had required him to dress for dinner and met some of her more serious guests. That thought also opened an opportunity. "Stephanie, would you and Catie see if you have something to fit Angela?..... Then would you take JC and get him fitted? You can use my card too if it can't be done for 100 credits. If you made me look good then you can at least make him presentable."

Jon turned to Angela and saw the anxiety on face. Giving her a normal job should bring her back around. "Angela, as payload specialist you'll need to get some of those bags back to Miss Lillianna's room. Then let Stephanie help get you ready to join us on board. I have a feeling I am going to need your talents helping me handling things other than bags."

Jon was right, Stephanie had put some dress clothes in his closet, so by the time he dressed and back to the cargo bay the others were straggling in. Even in simple outfits Stephanie, Catie and Angela looked stunning; JC still needed work. Before they left the ship Jon made sure they each carried a personal comm. unit, they'd need to stay in touch with each other and Destiny. He told them if they were asked about them to say they were to be sure Miss Lillianna was safe.

Something was going to happen and it wasn't just the wedding. Jon and the crew needed to be ready.

With that the small party headed out to find a mens clothing shop for JC.

The kid hadn't had much interest in the conversation until he heard the offer for a five star noodle house. The Whistle something bar and grill hadn't held much interest, but a five star noodle house was something he understood. Even if Ma did a great job trying to keep things interesting in the black by making do with rehydrated food stuffs and protein paste, a real noodle house was a place he could enjoy.

His heart dropped a bit when he heard Wyatt," Actually,Stickin' 'round a bit might provide me an' mine with some time t' line up our next set o' fares. ..An' while I appreciate yer offer of hospitality, it ain't necessary. Thank you kindly all the same. You can drop a wave our way when it's safe t' take Havelock home. 'Til then, I don't plan on muckin' about much so you can find us back at our ship if'n ya need us."

When they were back in the hall and he was strapping his iron back on he sheepish let slip, "That noodle house might be a good place to checkout."

Team had survived the strange maze of rooms. It was a lucky chance diving into that pool that led to the Red Dog Inn. It was luckier still that the Wizard had left funds and instructions to care for whoever stepped through the door. The party took room and stayed at the Inn to weather the winter.

Dudley filled the winter months with devotions to Shinara, she had watched over him and guided them safely. He would spread the word of her to all; he started to wonder why folks seemed cross the street when walked about Portua.

Then he filled the remaining time watching Wimbley play with his shiny ball. Each time Wimbley changed the ball to a different weapon Dudley would smile, applaud and then pick up his staff and point to the button.

As the winter started to melt away Wimbley became more restless and more enamored with Dudley's magic treasure. The day finally came when the wonderlust was more then Wimbley could resist and he told the party he was moving on. Before the Cidal mage left Dudley brought out the Wand of Many Wonders, showed Wimbley the button and said, "Wanna trade?"

As Dudley sat in the Red Dog Inn he held the shiny ball and practiced changing its shape. He was too entranced with his new wonder to go out to see what the ruckus up the street was all about.

Subject: Off We Go............

It was a long six hour flight in a noisy and cramped space. The converted C-47 Dakota crammed every spare inch with fuel storage to enable the plane to make the round trip. The smell of the high octane petrol was just next to nauseating. Wearing a full pack and chute basically Doc couldn't move, so he made the best of it kept cat napping through the flight. When the jump master crawled over the installations to make his way to the door the jostling woke Jake. The time it took the jump master to prepare the supply chute and check the static line allowed Doc to wake.
As they approached the target the team stood and hocked up. Doc had made arrangements with Captain to be last man out. This gave him the chance to watch where and how each member landed. Experience taught him he tell if someone landed hard and needed him. The supply chute usually came after him and he get to it quickly too.

The pilot gave the green light and the jump master started ushering the team out the door. When Doc's turn came he paused in the door remembering members no longer with them, before jumping out Doc touched the Red Dragon patch of Team YeOlde as his silent salute.

The sand gave more under his boots than hard dirt would, but a bend of the knees made for smooth landing. Quickly burying the chute Doc made his way the supply chute. The chute had collapsed nicely and he didn't have to chase it down. Detaching the bundle he rolled it open and checked everything. As the team arrived he passed out the ammo and supplies. Star stepped up and he handed her the pump action shotgun.

Taking the double barrel he opened the action the slid in a salt shell into each barrel, snapped it closed and slid it securely through straps of his pack. With everything secure and stowed the team followed McGuiness made their way toward their assignment.

Finally starting to catch up on Q&A posts. Sure Dudley will trade Wimbley the Button for the Shiney. I see Dudley carrying the mead picture as he has sort of been in charge of food. Is the brazier a cook stove?

I'll write up post about the trade, hope Wimbley survives, lol.

Geez... you know I paged down to the end and missed that Alacrity had posted twice in a row. Missed the landing and only read the silver screen.

Would have left out that whole bit of the sawn offs, well maybe.

Team YeOlde boarding.

PM'd Astrid and she gets the pump and Doc will take the double barrel. Also PM'd Alacrity to see if Doc time to take the double barrel to the motor pool and cut down the barrel.

It wouldn't be nice cut down pump too...but it would work better for our needs. Short barrels spread the pattern quicker. The salt would cover a wider area to hit the spooks.

Maybe Rat or someone else would grab them and get them cut down.

Both with shorter barrels and stocks would be great for this mission.

A magic stick with a button, what a great thing for a Cid.

If Wimbley was still here I could see the two them just pushing the button over and over to just see what it did next.

Maybe our Mage needs to have a little talk with Dudley to make him understand to not just push the button to push the button and waste the magic in the wand.

I'd say you guys may be right. Star and Doc may be the best for the shotguns because they aren't weapons specialist. Star using it against the ghosts makes sense to me. Doc has pushed the Geneva Convention before but using it against spooks is ok.

The way I see it, if you crossed a Gnome and a Kender you'd get a Cid. So they can be fun to play.

I really had fun with Dudley and Wimbley on the Throne.

I am just starting to get the feel of Dudley as a Cid and now he has a magic stick with a BUTTON!!!!!!!!!

I'd say we could just have RP of going back through town.
We could stop by Sheriff's office and see what is hanging on the bulletin board. Of course that means breaking in which could be considered a criminal act if the Lady Commender of the Aliance forces here caught us......just saying.

Asher really is courious as to what's in there.

Hey... that's my job.

If Keeper keeps the the mage and had a place like the mage from the place we were just in then Keeper would keep the keep and be the keep keeper Keeper. So that the keep kept by Keeper the keeper would be a kindly kept keep by a kind of creepy keep keeper Keeper. But if he was a creepy keep keeper then it may really be a cript and the keep wouldn't be as kindly and kind of keep we'd care to be kept in. But if we adventured in the creepy cript keep of Keeper the keeper it would be kind of cool to crawl through a creepy cript keep kept by the keeper Keeper.
