Hello......... Thought I'd pop in here and add the Ody welcome.
A really good place to start here is "Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies." That helps you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.
To meet folk in real time pop into the DragonChat where I act as current resident bartender. We offer our very own "Good Old Froth-n-Slosh", the stale pale ale that is so light it has the foam on the bottom.
Just grab a mug off the mantel and draw a cold frosty one.
My assistant Igor is usually lurking around if I'm not there.
He never says anything, must have something to do with having his tongue cut out by his last boss, that nasty bartender over at the Orc Bar & Grill.
I'll have him put out a plate of "Lady Fingers" in your honor.
Reminds me we need to have another "Ladies Night" and restock.

I had read the nurses arrival post but didn't refer back for the facts, so sorry. I should have checked better, my mistake.
I was just recalling the three new nurse were female and they all went to the mess together.
I can fix my post so it fits better. I'll change the "Ladies" to "Ma'am". Maybe add a comment on the striking Redhead.
Watch for so you can adjust too.
Her giving John his physical could be quite interesting.

Bridge Offices are like department managers in business, you handle your personal admin during your shift between scheduled tasks. They do training during off hours.
As for Reid he also is doing studies to get another Certification.

Yep a PM would have been the right thing to do.
A little back post of girl talk around the table could set the stage for the next encounter.
Check the duty rotation on page 1 of Q&A and it would tell you when Reid is of duty so we might try it again.
There isn't a Medical Duty posted there to show who is where when and the Med shift are a different time length. So it may just a chance meeting in the passage, lounge or mess.
It looks like Alpha shift would be John's next open.

Subject: Phaser Training...
Brennas, back in an early post between Reid and Berk they spoke of that Reid sent Bert the training records. You can build off that post. We could guess that Security staff would take target practice at least once a week. Some may do it more often to improve skills. As I has posted or sent in an email Berk would see that Reid had an 80% hit at level 25 which is almost impossible but records would show Reid takes practice several times a week. Also there is back story of his family that would tend to make him keep up his skills, although no one knows that.
I would guess that Chief Brooks would have the second highest score, just as point of pride over the enlisted personnel.

The day had been filled with activities for the ATCO, gathering itell, reorganizing the security assignments and deploying the security protocols to try to keep the Ambassadors out of where they didn't belong. After the long doldrums of the shipping lanes patrol things were hopping now.
John took his time to enjoy the simple comfort food while he reviewed the events. In a few hours he would be taking his place on the bridge for the gamma shift in the command chair so he needed to rest. Rising from the table John pulled tunic tight to straighten his dress uniform and remembered the nurses. John lifted his glass of milk and chugged the last remnants. Turning to their table he flashed them a bright milk mustache smile and nodded, "Ma'am."
Chuckling to himself he strode out grabbing a small napkin as he passed out the door to the gangway. Wiping the milk from his lip he headed back to his quarters to get some sleep before reporting for duty.

John had changed to his dress and joined his people to form the honor guard. He had not heard from Lt. Berk to confirm the welcoming party so he had attended to be ready to support his CTO.
When the Captain, the XO and the new Ops office had arrived John figured Lt. Berk would be along. The ACTO brought the group to attention when the Staff officer had stepped out of the turbo lift and kept them there. Lt. Berk had followed quickly next.
While the staff was in the transporter room John reviewed the guard procedures with the security contingent. He reminded them that this wasn't just fluff assignment there could be some real security and protection issue in play and to look smart and act smart.
When the transporter room door opened Lt. Berk lead the Ambassadors out and John set the guards in step with each of their charged assignments.
The ACTO lingered back as the Staff and guests moved to the turbo lift. No need to make a bigger crowd.
When the turbo lift doors closed John tapped his com badge, "Reid to Chief Brooks"

"Chief our guests are on board. Check the bio recognition and enact security protocols. If the bio signature is not set inform secure areas and activate isolation protocols."

With the guests on board John needs to get back to routine. He had the grave yard shift coming and he had been up for a while preparing intel and plans for the Ambassador's arrival, now he could use some food and rest. It was just easier to go to mess first even in his dress uniform than take the time to change.
The door to the mess slide open and John stepped to the replicators and got a simple meal of meatloaf and mashed potatoes with gravel. He ordered up a glass to cold milk.
Turning to the room to find a seat he noticed three medical crew nurses, two were new faces. One was a striking red haired female beauty. He realized then that being armed and in dress uniform might seem a bit much but it was too late now. As two of the men there looked up at him he smiled as he took a seat at a table near by.

Im' back out of town again and will be traveling most of this week. will be home late Friday for the weekend.
Was going to post something about heading to the transporter in Dress but saw Berk and upper staff so headed back.
That is where I thought I might have John meet the nurses.
Got to get time oriented so as not to mess up sleep period going to bridge for regular shift.
It seems at the moment that John and Berk are sort of missing
each other due to meetings and sleep and shift assignments.

Topic: Review of 5e
Subject: Something New............
I may have a new twist on reporting on 5.0 play.
If I can get my gear together we are going to try to play live online.
Going to try "Roll 20" to play a 5.0 game. Our DM is in California and his sons are here. He will DM the game from there.
The thought is to play twice a month for 3 hours. Shorter bites more often. On the 17th we will try out the setup for the Roll 20. Then try to play around the 23rd.
So I'll try to report on both the 5.0 game and how well the live online play works.
I still have to figure out the online stuff so this will be most interesting.
