...you're a busy guy.
I was just skimming over the character entries, again, and realized that, as compared to the other elves in the party, Jarenion's a bit of a whippersnapper... should I age him up a bit? I just kind of pulled 153 out of the dice roller...

...I knew I'd seen the bard's name somewhere in this thread but couldn't find it when I went looking. First I'd heard of our cleric's name, though.

...that said, the Arien, Kadrin, Maximus, Lun Telumendil, Jarenion, Finarsil, Ody, Sparrow arrangement makes perfect sense.

I like either of Olan's proposed marching orders, myself. I kind of picture Jarenion as being a 'mid-party' sort and would have suggested an order similar to Olan's second list, myself (albeit possibly switching Jarenion and Nimu's cleric's spots - not that it matters much).
Standard weapon in hand for the mage will, of course, be the Staff of the Stone Lord (cuz that thing is just too friggin cool and versatile).
Regarding secret doors and elves innate ability to notice them even if they're just passing by and not necessarily specifically searching for them... I'm assuming that this applies most specifically when said elf is simply moving through an area and not too preoccupied with much of anything else, yes (i.e hardly any chance of randomly noticing a secret door when engaged in combat with an efreet army or some such)?

Topic: CWWLLO QnA Subject: Why, Arien...
...what a tremendous melon you have!
Or, perhaps, is that the mystical "Helm of Brosnan" (can be worn for days on end and never give you helmet hair, adds +3 to charisma and +2 to any chance of scoring a James Bond-ish type role in the movies)....
For the record... Loving the character pics!

Okay... all that stuff I said earlier about not wanting to go after these folks? Strike ALL of that... the Fae Queen obviously needs sacrifices people of talent, skill, and tenacity in her heartbreaking time of need.
Great stuff, as always, Roger! I can hardly wait to be plunged headlong into the horror!

Topic: AMC's The Walking Dead Subject: Oh definitely...
...the TV series has seriously diverged from the comics in a lot of respects in regards to both plot "arcs" and characters. Events have been shifted, some characters on the show are amalgams of several others (or analogs of characters with different names) in the comics, and there are several characters that died on the TV series that are still going strong(ish) in the comics and vice versa. Not to mention that, in a lot of cases, the characters in the series are portrayed as completely different from the comics.
Honestly, I think that's one of the reasons I like the show so much... The very first episode was pretty true to the first 3 or four issues of the comic series, so, initially, I was like, "oh, okay... I know where this is going and what's gonna happen to who..." and it was kind of depressing to think I'd ruined the show for myself. But then the TV show "went off the rails" and I was all kinds of WOOOOO-friggin-HOOOOOO!!! I actually prefer the TV show to the comics, these days... the writing is better and the visuals are just incredible and, while there are definite correlations between the show and the comics in some form or fashion, there's no longer that sense (as a long time reader of the comics) that I know what's coming and who's going to be who. It's AWESOME!

They did "rationalize" him out of going back to Terminus and offing everyone with the whole "the fences are down, the place is in flames and swarming with walkers... they either run or die," though... and, in that respect, they were probably right. I don't know that I'd risk wading through a bunch of flaming walkers to go back and kill whatever Terminites might be left (unless I knew what would come of it in advance, of course).
Oh... and Gareth and his crew are soooooo many degrees of magnitude worse than the Governor and (pseudo spoiler if the TV show follows the comic even just a little) they kind of set up a lead in to another dude that's even worse than they are! Louisville Slugger wrapped in barbed-wire, anyone?
Point of note: I like "bat-s#!t crazy Rick," a lot!

Might I just take a moment to say; "EEEEEEEEEEEEK!! OMG!!! I DO NOT wanna fight that big bad any time soon if he's gonna go setting mist folks on fire in midair and I'm not so sure I wanna tussle with those misty ladies either because they seem way too powerful all by their lonsome and what in the sphincter of hades are they doing with the half ration of guardsmen they get to keep I'm so scared I think I just peed my spellbook!"
Nice teaser, there, O' Benevolent and Magnanimous DM! *shmoozeshmooze*

Well, I've learned my lesson in regards to "flying my mage around in front of a bunch of thri-kreen" so, with any luck, this mage won't suffer that fate... In fact, I don't think I'll be throwing myself in front of anything this time around... just gonna stand back, lob artillery, and watch the collateral damage tally up!
Which probably means I'll die of critical spell-failure... I conjured the fireball but forgot to throw it?!?!? Damn those untimely facebook notifications!!!
