Topic: Your Top Disney Movies?
Subject: Oh geez!

The top 5?!?! I dunno if I can do it... as Meri said, in no particular order:

  • Robin Hood (cuz it's Robin Hood!!!)
  • Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (just gotta that scene where the dwarves are getting washed up for dinner... Grumpy's dialogue in particular cracks me up.)
  • The Lion King (Hakuna Matata is such a wonderful phrase.)
  • Flight of the Navigator (just a really cool flick, loads of fun to watch with the kids on a cold, rainy Saturday.)
  • The Avengers!!! (I kid, of course... Although it was a good movie and is technically a Disney flick, it's not exactly what the boss was looking for on this list, I don't guess... how about we pull out Fantasia instead?)

Thanks again, everybody! I've definitely missed this place and am overjoyed to be wandering the halls, again.

Tons of Eoluv for everyone!

Subject: Ah! Innmate love! It makes me all tingly and such!

Thanks all! I've missed you, too! It's definitely good to be back and in the mood to get squirrely again. The plan, most assuredly, is to stick around permanent-like this time and, yes, stay healthy and upright for the duration.

Now, as I said earlier, I'm not entirely sure exactly what I'm going to do or where I'm going to start with this whole creativity resurrection but I've got a few ideas and some of those are jumping out in front of the others, right now. For example, I keep coming back to Nyx... finding myself wanting to slip into his skin and prowl Drasnia a bit... pull some more tales from that fetid well... and I begin recalling an idea I had for a psuedo-free-form thread I was tentatively going to call 'Drasnian Nights.' Still may start there... just some open free-writing kind of stuff based in the sprawl of the Crown Jewel of the Empire... but who knows? I've started scribbling down several possible posts in different veins... maybe we'll just see which one comes out the best first, eh?

... or one like Eol, either, for that matter.

Okay, so it’s official; 2013 has definitely not been the Year of Eol! The entire year, up to this point, seems like it’s been a refresher course on Murphy’s Law… or out of the frying pan, into the fire… or something along those lines, anyway. Whichever way you want to look at it, it’s been one trying year for yours truly – hell, the universe even tried to kill me over the summer and I spent the better part of the end of June in a coma – and, of course, all of it took a major toll on my creativity and, related to that, my time here with all you loverly Innmates…

I’ve really started to feel that loss, recently, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. In fact, and I write this with great hope, it’s probably a good thing because, feeling that emptiness, I’m also feeling compelled to create something in order to start filling that void, you know? So, in turn, that means that my mind has decided it’s got enough bandwidth back to dedicate to such endeavors and, when I start wandering that path of creativity, I always end up back here at the good old Red Dragon Inn!

Thank the powers that be, right?

Anyhoo… let’s call this the official announcement (or should that be warning?) that Eol has returned to the Inn and is likely to be stirring up some trouble in a thread near you very soon. Not sure what the exact nature of that trouble might be just yet but I get the feeling that I’m gonna lllllllliiiiiiiiikkkkkkeeeee it!

*facelick*

Weekend got away from me, as well. Wife is sick and I've been running hither and yon trying to stay on top of things. Got a post in the works, though... just need to get back to it and get it finished.

Pshhh... like you're gonna hear me complain about the lack of posting when I've been gone for months, myself.

No worries, Roger.

I should have a post for our little monk ready soon... under a mountain of help desk tickets, atm, but will get back to the writing as soon as work is out of the way.

Subject: I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE you guys!

As if there was ever a doubt, right?

I won't bore everyone with the details of what/where things went wrong for me (there just isn't enough time in the day and there's gotta be a limit to the number of characters you can put in a post, somewhere, right?) but, suffice it to say, I'm finally finding my way back to "being myself" and feel as if I can communicate without being too awfully toxic or depressing. There's enough of that in the world today without me contributing, anyway... Besides, I'm Eol-friggin-Fefalas! I don't do abject negativity fer the luv o' facelicks!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all the good vibes, happy thoughts, and messages of encouragement I've received from my Innmate family. Even if I haven't acknowledged them until now, I wanted you all to know that I have felt every single one and am grateful that I've got all of you and this wonderful hole-in-the-web of ours to prop me up even when I'm not very proppable.

Tons of love from me to you and, of course, all my thanks for you being the wonderful bunch of lunatics that you are.

I feed it all the time I've missed at the Inn these past several weeks, a handful of parking validations from the garage at the hospital, and a half empty box of fries I found under the seat of my truck.

Firstly, I almost peed myself when I read 40-60 feet! Shoulda grabbed one of Ryan's wingsuits instead of that backboard, I suppose... Good thing I don't stop reading at the subject line.

Secondly, I had no worries about you killing me off, just yet... I knew the unconscious bit was coming from our last PMs. Just wanted to get a gauge of the distance and such before I tromped off into post-ville.

Thanks.

What kind of distance are we looking at for Cheung's fall? About 20 feet or so from catwalk to cargo-bay deck?

Sorry to hear about the circumstances, of course, and very eager to have you back on a more regular basis, but it does ease the mind a bit knowing that you didn't just fall of the face of the planet.

Good vibes and happy thoughts!

...and if you got 'holy crap, Rick' out of this episode, just wait until you find out who's on the other end of that phone!

Unhinged, I tell ya!

I'm still trying to mesh the graphic novel versions of Woodbury (and its populace) and Michonne with the TV versions, myself... quite some bit of deviation between the two, in both cases, really... I think they may really need to delve into the Michonne characters backstory before too much longer or too many people are going to be feeling the 'combat munchkin' vibe from her and, unfortunately, that could totally ruin the character. Keeping fingers crossed.

And, Olan... if you haven't watched the World War Z trailer, yet... DO IT!!!

...read the book and also have a copy of the associated "survival guide." Both were definitely interesting reads but, I've gotta say, after watching the trailer, that is not what I was expecting out of the film adaptation!

Had planned on waiting for DVD/Blue-ray to see this one but am now convinced that this might just be worth the price of admission to see on the big screen!

Wow... just... WOW!!!

I think those zombies might be more terrifying than Olan's... or maybe they are Olan's!
