Subject: Off to the Castle we go
With the Captain agreeing with Romo’s idea to back the car up to cover, each of them gathered what weapons they felt was needed.
For Romo this consisted of his 2 45’s in their two underarm holsters, 6 full mags with 1 loaded in each and the rest in magazine holders on his holster straps. His Thompson submachine gun in hand with a full 50 round clip loaded and the 5 extra 30 mags for it sheathed in the ammo bandoleer at his side. The German Schmeisser submachine gun, a fully loaded clip locked into its magazine receiver, he had slung across his back with its 3 extra 32 round clips placed in his right side BDU pocket. The 2 frag’s hanging from straps on his shirt front , his twin set of brass knuckles in his left BDU pants pocket and his fighting knife sheathed in its scabbard in his right boot, the Master Sgt was as ready as he was gonna get.
Having gained the German weapon Romo left the M1A1 Carbine behind in the car’s trunk. Hopefully they would not have a need for it. Locked and loaded he took his place behind the rest and just to the front of the German lady and McGuiness as Brutal took the lead once more.
It was only a few seconds time before they came upon the first evidence of something being wrong a curiously damaged Schmessier, its barrel twisted as if bent by some type of strong force. When no ready explanation was forth coming Romo looked to the Captain for his next orders.....

Subject: Lets get this game rolling
As Maximus stood guard while Adrian moved over to the now open book he saw no threat from anything in the room but he could not but feel something was watching them. Though his attention was on the safety of the group he could not help but catch a few of the passages as Adrian read aloud from the journal before him.
“Found another reference in the tomes of a “fallen one” or great power. The more I find these the more I think the legend is true. Spoke to the Lord Abbott about my theory but he dismissed it saying there is no way Zephur could have trapped a divine being, and even if he did, he wouldn’t have the power to contain it or siphon power from it.”
(week later) Was down in the shaft today, and still it seems to be deserted. I am trying to be meticulous in my search but there is so much to explore. I reported to the Abbott about the lack of finding and he was encouraging though. Strange though, he seems to be growing hair again.
(week later) I have been so engrossed in my studies that I did not see the change in the Abbott. He has grown long black hair and is become ... I do not know how to say except thinner and almost feminine. He says he feels fine and won’t stand any questioning.
(weeks later) I don’t know where to start. This woman came to me as I explored the caverns. She was so beautiful, beguiling so and we ... I couldn’t... Together ... I can not write of it in this book. I fear there is a great evil afoot here and a great power for good held prison against its will. I will...”
It was this last part that caught the ex-gladiator’s attention the most. A beautiful women here perhaps the spider in some form of disguise?
Turning to look over at Adrian, Maximus remarked to him and the rest.
“Perhaps this lady, the one who wrote this journal speaks of, is the female spider we now face, but in some form of disguise?”
Maximus left the question hanging awaiting a response.....

Wolf was ready, seated in the drivers section of the mule waiting for Sam’s call to start, his mind went over his load out once more.
2 Beretta 97R’s with 3 full mags each, 1 loaded, 2 extra... Check
12ga Sawed off pump action Shotgun, 5 Rds loaded, 5 rds in side attached mini bandoleer 10 loose rds in pockets... Check.
Grizzley GRZ 1 Assault Rifle 3 full mags, 1 loaded, 2 extra... Check.
1 Frag grenade... Check
1 Concussion grenade... Check
1 Flashbang grenade... Check
In the mules storage area, carefully strapped down were the gren’s and other gear requested by Ash everything was ready and Wolf to be honest was both scared and exited at the opportunity to do a ‘Hot Drop‘. Then with Sam calling over the intercom it was time.
"You ready down there? Coming up to the drop point faster than Da-shiong bao-jah-shr duh la doo-tze!" We're going in hot and all your calls will be early. Shun-Sheng duh gao-Wahn!!! The ground is coming up mighty quickly. Should slow down some!”
With a quick turn, a change in the latitude thrusters, and a change in direction, the cargo bay door opened.
Wolf turned to Andrew with a big grin.
“Hold tight here we go” Then quickly working the mules controls he put the machine in gear while releasing the holding clamp. Like the proverbial bat out of hell, the old twentieth century Meat Loaf song of the same name rolling in his head, the hover mule was quickly out the door. Hitting the ground with a slightly hard but controled landing it was soon swallowed up by the darkness and was on its way.
Wolf knowing that he had a choice of lights or no lights and the danger’s of both had thought ahead and had covered the front lights with sheets of silk. The silk acting as a sort of damping agent allowed him to see a few feet in front of the mule without giving it away at a long or medium distance. However with only being able to see a few feet in front of him the mechanic would have to relay on his reflexes and driving skill to get them close to the town without crashing. Once in sight of the town’s light he would kill the mule’s headlights and use the reflecting city lights to guide him in.
For the moment Wolf just drove into the thinning night hoping nothing would show up in their path and they would be able to sneak into Regina unnoticed, link up with Asher and go a hunting!
(Ok Alacrity I’m using whatever skill points or special points if I have any to make the drive from the drop zone to town and then the Doc’s to link up with Odyson and hopefully not crash and not get spotted.)

Let me be the first of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn.
The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.
So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here.
And though this is the greeting I post to all newcomers do not feel that I am not glad to see a new person come to our home, far from it. Its just easier and quicker this way as we do get a lot of newcomers at times. So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.
Also here’s a towel, always keep it handy as Eol, another of our Staff, likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .

Ok lets see who has what I think YeOlde had the double barreled shotgun, I had at the time of the gunfight at the bridge only my .45 pistol so as far as the cabin weapons who has what. If still avilable I'll take one of the German Schmeisser's to go along with my Thompson once it runs out of ammo. That is of course we live that long .
Ok Odyson you say we have 3 Schmeisser's? where did we get the third as I only read two, 1 at the cabin 1 at the bridge??

Subject: Fast Five........What did you think.
As a huge Fast and Furious Fan in my opinion, Fast Five, which is out now is a shot in the arm for an awesome franchise. Not only does it trade on the nostalgia of reuniting virtually every character from the previous films, it also has action set pieces so audacious and ridiculous that they demand to be seen on the big screen.
From the minute Vin Diesel shows up, roughly 10-15 minutes into the movie, its non stop hell bent for leather action, strategy planning, and some pretty good comedic scenes. I highly recommend this if you just want to go and have a good time, but if you’re looking for an Oscar winning in depth feelings movie save your money this is not it.
So if you’ve seen the movie and liked it or disliked it feel free to add your comments here but as I have with other Movie threads please respect those that have not seen it and post no spoilers. However a heads up, if you can stay through the credits as there is an ending scene that possibly sets up for the 6th film and is definitely a shocker.

Subject: Question for DM/Players
Ok due to all the running with Mom these past few days/week I have forgotten just what weapons we picked up since the start of the game. I know we just found the following......
Three G41 rifles with six 10 rounds clips, two of the clips have 6 rounds left Does that mean 4 full 10 rd clips and 2 clips with 6 rds or 6 full 10 rd clips and 2 extra with 6 rds)
A Schmeisser with two 32 rd mags (one missing three)
Three bayonets with metal belt holsters.
And I believe we found a pair of Schmeisser's a couple of pistols and that old rifle Brutal is carrying earlier but can we get a full weapon count so we can evenly divide such before we head into the Castle.
I apologize for the possible inconvenience this may cause you Alacrity.

Subject: Ok backposting a bit then forward to catch up
His bandages tight and somewhat uncomfortable Romo knew there was nothing he could do about it except soldier on though getting shot this early in the mission had him thinking to himself on the odds of survival. As he looked through the guardhouse log book his mind was thinking what the hell the five of them were doing? The mission they had started on with a full planeload of troopers was doable but now there were only the five of them and a women, what kind of chance was that against a castle full of German elite SS troopers.
Looking to the mountains before them where their target was hidden the Master Sgt knew the time to back out had come and gone and he was not the kind to shirk his duty scared or not. However he knew that driving up to the castle was no longer a good option. Moving towards the LT he spoke.
“LT I think we need to move on foot to a place where we can recon the castle, get a feel for its defenses and move in at night. Driving this car into the mountains will create a lot of noise that will be amplified by the mountain themselves.”
The Master Sgt waited for a reply however in the end it was decided to continue by car to at least within sight of the castle itself. With Clements back behind the wheel they made good time spotting the guardhouses first.
“Well?" Clements spoke “looks like the guardhouses are empty... they couldn’t be expecting us and since the log book said they didn’t show up below for relief… I think something is wrong here... I don’t think anyone is alive in those guardhouses.”
“I think you maybe right however to be safe back us up a ways so we can get out of the car under some cover, spread out, and we’ll move in on foot, with your permission of course LT.”
(OOC: Ok I’m gonna stop here and allow for Almerin to give a yay or nay on moving up on foot, or as YeOlde posted by car.)
