Subject: an unwanted Goodbye
As Wolf finally made it back to where he and Bowmen had left the mule, he took a minute to catch his breath, remove the assault rifle from his back and climbed in. Placing the rifle on the seat beside him he powered it up and moved towards the destroyed jail. As he pulled to a stop he saw Bowmen returning to stand with Ash and the Doc.
"Listen Ash, Wolf, I am going to stay here". Bowman said when Wolf had the mule completely stopped but still powered up "I think these people need a real lawman right now and I think that best be me. You two go help Wyatt and I'll keep this place from going reaver in a hand basket. Besides, I really don't like the idea of going down in a mine anyway. Too cramped and tight for me. Go on!"
“Well sounds like we’re down to the two worst of the bunch, Andrew you take care and keep your head down. Wolf, let’s go help Capt’n, Miss Willow and Sam. If Pearson is down there with Bridget then this ain’t going to be pretty.” Grabbing his guns and gear Ash hopped on the mule. “We ain’t got no surprises left, so let’s just make dust and get to the mine.”
As Ash climbed on looking into the elder man’s eyes Wolf could see that something about the old drifter had changed from the man they’d gotten out of jail. He seemed set on taking up the job of sheriff and with that choice seemed to have found a sort of peace inside himself. Wolf looking into those eyes somehow knew that Bowmen would not be leaving the planet with them, had maybe found a place to stop moving on and once more call it home. Wolf hoping they would get a chance to see him least once more before lifting off gave him a nod.
“I’ll let Wyatt know old man” He said with a sad grin “Via con Dios”
With Ash seated in the passenger seat Wolf increased power to the mule turned it north and headed for the mine and the rest of Rocinante’s crew.

Subject: WOW some surpries this week
Ok well how about them Cowboys . Ok after tommorrow nights game add up your scores and we can see who had the most points for this week. Right now I am at a total of 7 points, 8 if Philly beats chi town.
For fun if anyone else wants to put thier picks in this thread along with RP Noop, Lady Dark, and myself feel free. Then starting from Thursday on through the last 8 weeks of this 2011 season, playoff's included, we will count up the correct picks and total them at the end of the season to see who was the most correct.
I think I may start this as an actual contest next year with some sort of prize hmmmmm got enough time to think on it for sure .

After what my Cowboys did to the Rams last week I thought, hell I knew!!, we were gonna kick butt against the Eagles, well hell now I know what a St Louis Rams fan felt like last week. They beat the Saints today and we get stomped by the Eagles WTF is going on in the NFL .

As the last of what had been a carefully selected airborne assault unit, now only numbering five soldiers, stood and watched the reaching tentacles of a creature up till now existing only in science fiction, they knew their world had changed forever. No longer was the mission to destroy German research into a possibly super weapon, but to close whatever gate or rift those same Germans had opened.
As Romo watched the rest of the team maneuver away from the tentacles, he saw Clements moving into the path of a large falling brick.
“Clements! HALT!!” he called out quickly hoping against hope that the Corporal would heed the warning. Romo could not help but breathe a sigh of relief as the NCO did just that.
“Miss? Is it possible that creature’s are still coming from this rift as we stand here? If so, we need to kill the power as soon as we can. Any idea where we can find these generators that poor fellow was talking about?”
"The crypts below! The stairs by the armor is the fastest way! It is going to bring the roof down!" Greta yelled in reply as she started moving quickly towards, then down the stairwell.
“Ok you heard the lady, move your asses, Clements your lead once more, I’ll be right behind, the rest follow on me.” He yelled as Brutal moved in front of him and then the Corporal too was down the stairway. Taking a last look at the flailing tentacles Romo followed disappearing into the darkness below........

Topic: Eye of the Beholder
Subject: Seriously though in response
I think once a character's saving throws have lowered enough to give them a 50-50 chance to save against most of its eye weapons and usually after LvL 10. It also depends on the Beholder, is it a fully healthy one, does it have all of its eye weapons available, where is it attacking from, does it have allies with it. After all it only gets ONE attack per round while a party gets multiple attacks and it only has 75 hit points max. Depending on the size of the party and initiative the fight could be over even before the Beholder gets an attack off. It’s not as fearsome of a monster as we are led to believe.

Subject: For the Record
Lady Dark no one has been kicked out of the game as of yet, so please rest your mind about that. However I will be inquiring of all the current players in the game as to who wants to stay and who do not before I do restart. Plus I’m not sure when or to be honest even if I will be able to restart the game this year as I have an RL comment first to helping my Mom and myself to get better.
So please just be patient with this old man and hopefully it will all work out as I do still want to run this game.
