Subject: Welcome
Like Keeper said above the game is 2nd edition. However if you know how to RP, and I have read some of your posts, and its clear you do. The role of Alyia should be no problem for you.
From what I'm told 5th Edition is a really much closer game rule set to 2nd Edition was so it might not be that hard to get the hang of. But like Keeper says I do most of the work and all roles and I'm always here to answer your questions. Also if you need answers and I'm not around Keeper, Ody, Nimu and the other players can easily, I'm sure, answer them also.
So look her over and let me know if you still want to play her.

I thought I'd give you all a pic of the H&K MPK Casino's carrying. It's outfitted with an integrated silencer (Built in) has a 6 × 42mm Leupold VIII Adjustable Objective scope for short to medium range sniping and a telescoping stock for better stability when using the grenade launcher or sniping as needed.

As the two solo's and the techie headed for the doorway Casino stopped and looked at the four other team members still in the room
"Just a suggestion. If I were running the Bartholomew insertion, I'd say two of you on over watch, the sniper Ghlahn for sure and Bloodbank as medical back-up. Blossom you and Echo head in as two pretty normal college girls. Though you will without a doubt draw attention, you two are less likely to seem out of place on a college campus then four people carrying guns, one of them clearly a sniper weapon. Then while Blossom hits the school's records, Echo you cover her back. Just a suggestion."
With that the big solo moved out the door followed by Mathis and Vegas............

You make the school sound like an armed assault. 
10 to 1 its already closed for the weekend. However as its been already stated students live on campus, so a big crowd of unknown strangers is sure to draw attention.

I still think 3 going to the club and the other 4 going to the school will cover more ground. We don't have a lot of time to hopefully find the boy before they kill him or worse.
I'm pretty sure with the firepower between Mathis, Vegas, and myself we should be ok. Also with Mathis's access to transportation meeting up again should be no problem.

Though Casino figured he and Vegas could do the club on their own it never hurt to have a third person with them in case the shit hit the fan. Casino also wanted to see the Uzi equipped runner in ‘action' and better get his measure. The big solo admitted to himself he could have been too fast with his tongue and wanted to give Mathis the benefit of the doubt without the rest of the group around.
"So whata say Mathis, up to a little night life?"

"Well friend, if I may call you that Mr Casino, I have been brought up that each person provides their way. I will not ask you to pay for my tools or ammo. If you are worried about me ditchin' out on the run, then I most likely wouldn't even be here. A runner with a bad name aint gonna get a next job."
At first Casino did not reply giving Mathis a long hard look taking in his weapons and clothing, then he finally spoke.
"No you may not and the names Casino, not mister, not sir, just Casino. As for "ditching" on us during the run, well I guess we'll see. I'll run with anyone if the money's good but I only trust one of the people in this room, I'm kinda paranoid like that."
Looking over the rest of the people in the room and their faces.
"I'm sure we all feel the same, this run's not about friendship, its about money. We don't need to be friends to get this boy back, but we do need to work as a team. Teammates help other team members as needed and I'll do my best to do that. As for Vegas and I's 'secret' chat it was about our finances for the taser and my grens, that's it."
A look to Ghlahn........
"As for 'non-combat' roles, choomba, there is no such thing in this bizz, everyone fights as needed."
A last look at Mathis, then the others in the room, to emphasize his point he waited for the rest to get moving...............
((OCC: Ok as far as the whispered chat between Vegas and I I'm assuming they are talking about the inquiry about funds correct?))

Nope I'm good It's mostly that he is broke and is trying not to owe any one a favor, especially not a stranger.
Plus he is so used to working with Vegas that between them the cost of whatever's needed is taken care of without saying.
It's gonna take him a bit to trust the others to a certain point. He has no problem working the run with them, but he is paranoid enough not to put a double cross out of the question.
That's why I had him make the comment about the number of people involved in this run.

Ok main reason Casino is bringing this up is to him it seams Mathis is more worried about money then being part of the team. If he really wants us to pay him that little bit of cash up front, considering what we can make if we are successful, and the consequences if we are not. Well that makes Casino nervous that there is the possibility, for the right price he may turn on us.
Second reason is of course that he is now broke and he does not like owing money to anyone. Case in point his hocked Agent.

Standing at the door Casino heard the last of Mathis statement and found himself a little annoyed.
"Really?" He looked straight at Mathis. "You actually want to be repaid for the cost of public transport? I know we are all strangers here" A pause to look around the room. "But we need to work as a team combining our resources to get this run done successfully. After all if we fail we could be as, Miss Starlight has said, 'flatlined' Now If it were me and I had the cash I'd consider paying for transport, public or private, as part of adding my resources, as part of being a team. If you can't look at it as part of doing business to gain a bigger payout then I'm not sure I can trust you. Example, if I gotta use my guns I'm sure as shit not gonna ask Miss Starlight to pay for each bullet. You‘ll pay for transport, but only if we had over the cash first. Well from where I stand that sounds more like blackmail then team work."
This takes place before the private conversation with Vegas of course

"I realize that waiting another couple of hours for the Grenades for Casino may seem like a waste of time ... especially with the unknown fate of Jace hanging in the balance ... but I have been down this road before where Casino did not have any Grenades ... and it nearly cost us our lives ... pinned down like rats in a corner with no escape ... but we were fortunate enough to have two Booster Gangs burst upon the scene with guns blazing ... trying to scrag each other ... eliminating the Gang that got caught in their cross hairs ... that had us pinned down with no means of escape."
"I refuse to go without Casino ... and I know that Casino refuses to go without the Grenades!"
"Well Vegas, I don't think we need to take it that far. I'm sure Miss Starlight can deliver the grenades and the taser to wherever we hold up to plan this run as long as we give her notice. I don‘t see us having everything we need, from info on where he's being held, the people holding him and to the security there, before she can get them to us."
As he bent and added his cash to Vegas's stack he nodded respectfully to Starlight. He was ready to start moving on this run and sitting here waiting for 3 grenades, though wanted, was not practical. He had faith that Starlight would get them to him before the real work began. Standing he moved to the doorway yet again and waited for the other runners to decide the next move.

"Well, Mr. Casino," Starlight answered back while affecting a Southern drawl. "You got the dough, I can get you what you need. But ain't nothing free sweetheart."
Casino leaned over and whispered to Vegas about both the total some of their Night City Dollars. It was here that the two newcomers showed up.
"Well Miss Starlight this is sure a pretty big crew for an easy run."
The big man paused checking out the newcomers hardware. Though they both carried SMG's neither of them carried any heavy duty damage doers like his grenade launcher.
"Well we're hoping for some type of taser in case the boy gives us a hard time and three more grenades for my launcher as I see out of the seven of us I'm the only one packing artillery."
Grabbing a piece of paper he listed the grenade types ((1 HE, 1 Fragmentation, 1 smoke))
Handing it to her he moved back to his place by the door, covering it as he always did in case things went bad.....

"If getting this kid back is so important, do you have any extra gear we could use to help in completing this run successfully? Med gear, extra ammo, some grenades for my launcher? After all Miss Starlight its better to have something and don't need it then don't have it and need it."
