All Casino could do was stand there, the sound of the cybernetic gun in his ears, the scene of Rya’s body on the ground, dead. Up until that moment all he had wanted to do was get this run over with and turn everything to rescuing Vegas. However things had changed. Moving from the cover of the van’s doorway he quickly lifted the SMG/Gren Launcher to his shoulder and fired off the H.E round loaded within it, followed by a full auto burst from the SMG quickly emptying the magazine.

Moving, cutting to his left, he quickly rammed a new clip home and resumed firing, this time in three round bursts. Gaining cover he loaded the second of his two H.E. rounds and launched it down field, scoring a direct hit on the last of the sec people left behind. The SMG/Gren launcher moved to his back, he pulled one of his two .44 Armalites, and moved slowly through the bodies giving each one a double tap of rounds to the forehead to be sure they were all dead……….

“If I see that coward again he will be dealt with appropriately”

This from Ghlahn, as the shooter climbed into the van, helped break Casino out of the images playing in his head and bring him back to the here and now. Catching Ghlahn’s eye in that moment, the big solo let the Cee Metal cyborg know he’d have company on that run, no questions asked.

”Ok guys now we hope we get paid and I think we have another job ahead of us. Let’s get away from here and talk.”

Fixer was the first to speak as Casino sat down. Putting his hand on Echo’s shoulder, he gave her gave her the head’s up to leave the meet site.

“Yeah we need a place, as Fixer said, to talk. However any place that knows my face or where I’m known to hang out is a no go. Vegas for sure if they truth-ed him gave up every single thing about me. From weapons, to what I eat this morning, to how I like my whiskey, to every spot I’d go to keep a low profile. Plus till and if we get this cash I’m broke so no help from me on a motel/hotel and I want to be moving as fast as we can on this. I don’t think if Vegas is still alive we can leave him in their hands yet another day.”

A pause to catch his breath…...

“As for the rest of you, Vegas may have known your street names, some of the weapons he saw you carrying and might have had a hint why you where recruited but beyond that I’m not sure what else he could have told them. However it’s for damn sure they will have already started a determined investigation to find out more on each of you. And please don’t lie to yourselves, they will tag who you all are in a matter of days, if they have not already.”

Turning to look at those he could easily see, trying to get some information into what they were thinking.

“So big question, anyone know a place, reasonably safe, where we can do a quick pause, talk and get a plan together.?"

Leaning back in the seat he took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and as he waited for some idea’s forced the scene of Rya’s death from his brain…….

With everything crazy going on I just don't have the time right now to run Trilogy War. However like Nomad I too have lost 1 of the games I was a player in and would love to join a new game Hook us up!

I actually thought you possibly intended to end the game itself entirely. With Roger stopping Destiny, this is now the only game I'm in and would hate to end up just a lurker. I already know how my post is going to go, but I'll give Espatier a chance to post as Charlie first as he is the lead on this. Lets go get Vegas dead or alive.

As Casino watched Bloodbank and Fixer start to remove Jase and his 'Mother' from the van, the big solo with a small shock remembered something that they had already done, but should do once more before handing them both over to be sure.

"Fixer give them both a quick pat down, make sure they did not pick up something that could be used as a weapon from motel till here. No need for the other side to think us sloppy."

Things could go very badly if one or the other of the two 'packages' tried to attack Hairtech and his people with a weapon the group had missed and could be blamed for. No need to add yet more enemies to an already growing list.

However considering I too have put Trilogy War on hold I know how you feel Roger. With the pendamic, family issues, and all the violence in the world, my desire to DM at this time is quite low. I'll continue in Brom's Cyberpunk game as I enjoy it and would have here also, but times they are a changing. Hope you'll still stay among us Innmates and lurk if nothing else.

Hairtech looks past Charlie and Ghlahn with a stone-faced gaze. Then, in a matter-of-fact tone, he addresses the answer directly to Cred Stick Charlie. "A precautionary measure. I'm sure you understand. Now... let's put this contract to bed, shall we? The boy, please."

A quick look behind him, catching Bloodbanks eye, "Ok bring them out"

As Casino stood quietly watching Charle and Ghlahn talk to Hairtech he knew this whole thing could go to shit in a heartbeat…...

“We’ve got a sniper, approximately 150 feet away, and 30 to 40 feet behind the aerodynamic limo and straight up”

This from Echo behind him, how and the hell she had spotted the shooter was beyond the big solo at the moment.
Holding his arm up slowly to stop Bloodbank and Fixer from removing Jase and his mom from the van, Casino called over to Hairtech.

“Sniper, up and behind the limo, one of yours?”…….

It appears we are all waiting on Mischief, who is waiting on you, so we are all waiting on you, and waiting sucks

Just to let everyone know our favorite Bartender Mr Odyson is now a Grandfather to a baby boy 7lbs, 12oz, 20in who was born this morning at 11:21am Eastern Time. Now I know the pounds and ounces, but the Inches?    Holy crap look out kindergarten time.

With all the confusion the last few weeks, I just wanted to be sure. 

As Casino stood quietly watching Charle and Ghlahn move towards Hairtech he knew things could go to shit in a heartbeat. For the moment his smg/gren launcher was across his chest but clearly pointed at the ground and his hands in his back pockets. He knew with his Boostmaster reflex’s he could easily have the weapon up and firing in seconds. With his hands clasped in front of him and in clear sight all he could do was hope Charlies power of negotiation was as good as he thought it was.

However the big solo was not stupid enough to think the eight man sec team did not have the same, or in this case, much better tech of their own. Though none of the eight had weapons showing, they were clearly heavily armored and Ghlahn’s closeness would be the best bet to get a one shot, one kill on Hairtech.

Hairtech was the first to speak as Charlie and Ghlahn came to a stop.

“You have the child? Produce him and bring him to me. Once we have the child in secure custody and have left the site, my employer will wire the credit to your employer”

Casino’s fist clinched, this was the part he hated, the trust that those who had hired the fixer, in this case Starlight, would honor the contract and give the credit to her to be paid to them. Then came the level of trust needed for Starlight to actually give them the credits on her part. Afterall someone had to have hired that second team right, what was to say it was not her.

Knowing Echo was seated right behind him ready to hit the gas to get them out of there was a help to calm the nerves, but if things went wrong and the shooting started Casino gave Charlie no chance of reaching the car before being shot to shit and killed. The cyborg could easily take a wave of bullets and make the van, but he too would be hurt. Not a good outlook at all. He hated giving Rya over to possible death, but he had given her a chance to walk away and she had refused. It all now came down to Charlie’s ability to get them paid.

Dawn came and with it a new set of wheels, a very roomy van. Echo driving, Cred Stick seated shotgun, Behind the driver’s seat sits Bloodbank, Casino across from him, Rya and Jase with Fixer, Blossom, and Ghlahn in the back. All of the group in one place for a change, though also an easy target if any enemy decided to end them.

A number of times around the block and down strange streets to put off any followers and finally the call comes in. Meet set up at ...... X00054:8.Y00030:12.Z00032:25

The Undercity, close to the water, hour to get there, no time to plan, Blossom unable to get a scan of meet location. No time to drop Ghlahn for high cover, no time for counter cyber warfare, no time to deploy Charlie’s drone. No time to plan, seat of pants going in, bad gut feeling.

As Casino took note of the two black sedans and the high priced limo nestled behind them, Echo pulled into the center of the meet and stopped.

“Charlie you have the lead, you know how to deal with these type of people. Ghlahn you on Charlie, Echo on me. Bloodbank, Fixer, stay in the van with the boy and his mom when Charlie signals bring them out and hand them over to him and Ghlahn. Blossom if you feel its safe, and only you would know for sure, do a face rec on these guys, if not sit tight as our last line of cover.”

As Charlie got out with Ghlahn on his six, the large solo himself climbed out bringing his SMG/Gren launcher to a position of readiness hopefully not too threatening. The sedans’ doors open and nine people get out, all of them in black suits with armored overcoats. It isn’t hard to recognize corporate exec level security details and this is definitely one. The ninth individual to get out is a smaller man with slicked-back TechHair® that shifts in color from deep blue to deep red and back again. He’s definitely marked with NuCybe lines about his eyes and throat. He’s obviously the one in charge as he steps forward.

With everyone hopefully as ready and set as they could be, it was time for Cred Stick Charlie to do his thing........

Brom brought up a good idea. In a meet like this you take the lead as your  negotiation skill is much better then mine and in combat type situations I'll take the lead. That way we employ our best skills to the situation at hand. Don't want to fuck this meet up and the only reason I had thought of not having you there was your control of that drone, which Brom has since told me is umarmed. So please take the lead here and get us on track to a rescue attempt for Vegas.

I did not think of setting up Ghlahn in the van but its a good idea and thats what we will do if Keeper is ok with that. Not sure how the van's front glass would effect the bullets trajectory but it would be a better use of his skill then in a stand up situation.

As far as Blossom is concerned, cyberwarfare interference per Brom through PM's with me, is not really a factor so not sure where she could be best used.

We have our answer so its seat of our pants time lol Oh 1 more thing Brom you need to add 1 smoke, 1 frag, and 1 HE grenade to my sheet as I have 2 of each not 1 lol. Never know in these "seat of the pants" meets
