Topic: Not Really a Game, But...it COULD Be
Subject: Here's a Favorite
This is the background I created a year or so back for a character in one of Olan's games that unfortunatly fizzled.
However I am now bringing the character back in Cap'n lou's new game mainly because of the background. Here he is 
Tal’Anor Meri’diane
Born as the privileged 1st son of an Elvin Lord in service to the High King of all Elves in the Sylvari land of Maelamin he was brought up meek and never wanting for anything in the City of Vanima Romen. For as a son of noble birth he was much pampered and well cared for. He was as a child washed by females of the court of his father even into his so called teen years and learned at an early age the art of love and the passion of sex. Many were the women who graced the young nobles bed even into adult hood yet none was a perfect match. Something was wrong, something inside him cried out and so at the age of 105 his status as nobility not withstanding he partitioned and was granted the necessary teachings to become a Paladin of the Sylvari High Court.
Tal trained hard having found in him a desire to be counted on his own merits not that of his parentage. No longer did he want to be pampered by others for if he were one day to become lord of his house and advisor to the King he wanted to earn their respect and loyalty on his own. At last after years of hard training he was ready to be crowned as such. For days his sleep was wracked with unease and pain of mind then the days became weeks and many or his peers and close family feared for his sanity. Then one night it changed as he was sleeping a calm fell upon him and so began what at first he thought was a dream. The Goddess Oriana came forth from the heavens and without a word between them climbed into his bed. Never before had he known such pleasure, such passion, and such love. Upon waking he felt refreshed as he had not in days knowing to whom he would now take as his Holy Deity. It was as he moved to the bath area his chest bare that many were the shocked looks he received, with a mirror brought forth he was stunned to see upon his left breast the symbol of Oriana, a heart made of pearl inset with a teardrop ruby clearly placed there by her own hand. He knew then that the dream was no dream and the Goddess Arna’arvandor had chosen him as her champion. No longer alone his Heart, Mind, Body and most importantly his soul as one. He
Set forth then to prove to him and all others that he would be worthy one day to step into the role of his father as head of his noble house. Aided and protected such as any mortal Syl could be by the love of a Goddess he went out into the world of the Human’s to seek his destiny.

Subject: Yep the PC game looks Awesome
Though I have not yet played it I have looked through its strategy guide and the information posted about it at www.GameBanshee.com and I am very, very much looking forward to playing it.
AS my won copy is FINALLY being sent out by my friend tommorrow it should be in my hands by next week.

Forgive Merideth Shadowbranch1 (Grab her quick and keep her quiet!!) we don't force anyone to run 2e (Get those implants installed) some of us older DM's just prefer it over the other editions. (OK start the brainwash)
However let me also welcome you to the Inn (Implants ready) for some of us, myself included, its a second home. I'm sure you'll find what your looking for given time and feel free to run a AD&D game of whatever edition you prefer. (New Member brainwash underway.... Play 2e, Play 2e, Play 2e)

To amazon.com they have new copies under $50 and used copies for under $40. If I lose my bet this weekend thats where I will get the copy to give to my friend as we bet a copy of the game to the winner of the Eagles-Cowboys matchup.

With everyone finally back at the table Kane saying nothing gave them all a good stare, after all had he and Mel not told them to stay put. Then it was down to business as he with Mel’s help related everything that had happened up to this point.
It was during this discussion of what to do next, that as it always seems to in space, that the unexpected happened and the small scanner suddenly beeped twice loudly and rebooted itself. The disk then re-engaged and the schematics once more appeared again, only this time the security codes and passes appeared with them.
“Run-tse duh fwo-tzoo... “ Kane could not help but exclaim upon seeing the gold mine in his hand.
Suddenly, as if fated, the front doors of the bar burst open and four police officers armed with assault rifles and wearing body armor charged in. At the same time Kane heard the sound of the back door being crashed as well and the screams from some of the barmaids. A low buzz heard overhead told of a hover vehicle circling overhead, clearly one of the police vehicles outside..
One of the officers then proceeded to speak into a megaphone, causing his voice to echo across the room. “No one move! This is a joint Police and Alliance Special Forces raid! Everyone freeze and put them up!”
Without thought the player in Kane’s hand was quickly moved out of sight and placed down the front of his trousers behind the large belt buckle there, then shirt pulled out to help cover that area and vest quickly rearranged to grant better access to the Heckler. Kane had learned long ago the best place to hide something was down a man’s pants as rarely did police or prison guards do more then a glancing search in that location. Hopefully this time would be no different. Without moving his head he addressed the others as he slowly raised his hands.
“Ok everyone stay calm let’s not be yu bun duh. It’s a good chance they are not here for us but the other people we were mistaken for. Lets play it nice and slow and see what happens. If things go to ‘guay’ wait for me to make the first move before we go hostile”
It was wait and see time for this shipless crew and their Captain....

Holy shit for the first time this year they actually had me shouting myself horse they finally looked like the team I thought they could be. My suggestion…. Drop Roy Willaims to 3rd receiver and promote Miles Austin to 1st receiver and Crayton to #2... Roy you suck!! Lol.
However I have to say the most impressive game of the day was not the Cowboys win…. Or the Cardinals beating the Giants… Oh No it was the way New Orleans came back to whip Miami’s ass !! Jesus H Christ I wish I had the ability to watch two games at once. Go New Orleans!!
I love my Cowboys but ya gotta have respect for a team on its way to a Super Bowl.

Ok you told Van that the recorder is the size of a portable DVD player. My question is it the size of a lap top one or the palm sized ones with the flip top viewing screen, would it fit into one of the inside pockets of my vest w/o bulging too much??
Also is my Sub gun visible under my shoulder from the door and is my seat facing the door or is my back to the door??

Hey maybe during the buy we can get it going right who knows. 
As for Favre I'm watching him too as he is a great joy to watch no matter who he is playing for. And to put it bluntly it was the fault of the Packers themselves for letting him go because they thought him over the hill and Aaron Rogers better. Well they play again once more this year and as the first time I will be there to watch................
