Newhouse, Beylix, Outside Jailhouse, 12:20 am, Day Three
Wolf slammed on the brakes of the Mule as first Pearson, then Sam, jumped out and started moving towards the passenger called Sloat.
BLAM! BLAM!
Before Sam could reach the ex-deputy he had opened fire and placed two bullets into the running man’s back.
“What the guay ” Wolf spoke in disbelief, what the hell did this “former deputy” think he was doing, in no way in hell was it fair to shoot a man in the back. Especially as Wolf would have stopped him using the Mule.
“This ain’t right Cap’n” Wolf stated as he started getting out of the mule, at the same time releasing the straps holding his two sub guns in place in their holsters.
It was then that the mechanic, for the first time, noticed the way most of the people were looking to the now ex-lawman. Though they praised him it was clear they feared him for some reason. Reaching Sam’s side he let him know he was next to him.
“This ain’t right Sam, I don’t like it one bit. We need to disarm Pearson and find out wtf is going on before we let him step foot on our the ship”
With that Wolf started towards both Pearson and the body he also was headed to............

Subject: Big doors cool!!
With no immediate threat materializing and Dapples P-Drag back inside the lad’s coat Maximus began slowly to relax once more. Then lunch was served and gear gathered and before too much time had passed the group, along with an out of tone Bard, at least to Maximus’s ears, singing, was headed off to the troubled temple.
Now the ’road’ the group found themselves was in truth no such thing but a goat path that had seen better days. Steep in many places and overgrown in the rest the trip was not fun but finally they had climbed what seemed miles upon miles to reach the temples front door. With a small but thriving garden to either side of the entrance and wooden steps going up about 20 feet to a double set of closed oak doors, bound in steel. With no one around and the group for the moment unmoving it was easy to hear the only sounds of wind, birds and the occasional goat or two.
Looking to Dapple and her mini Dragon, Maximus waited for the little thief to go first and check the door for traps.......

Subject: Ok the PLAN!
I'm going to use the Mule to block him while at the same time try to time it to knock him off his feet to help capture him.
Kinda like in all those movies where as the bad guy turns the corner the car is rt there to knock him on his/her butt  .
Do I need to put that in a game post or is it ok just stating my intent here??

Wolf calmly waited, the mule hovering at half power, as the almost over sized passenger load climbed in under Sam’s direction. Then with everyone as comfortable as possible he slowly moved the mule towards the Rocinante.
It was here as he was starting to gain speed that the return trip to the ship turned into a gho Shi wi pe as Parson jumped off and sprinted towards someone yelling thief. Slamming the mules brakes he quickly brought the over loaded skimmer to an abrupt halt.
“Ai ya,” Sam growled behind him “Wo bu shin wo dah yan jing! Cap! It's lookin' as if we got us a bit of a clusterfu** about ta commence… Ain’t that Sloat?”
Sure enough Wolf could now see that a man carrying a lockbox and being chased by two men and now Parsons was indeed a Rocinante passenger.
“Liou koe shway duh biao-tze huh hoe-tze duh bun ur-tze” Fenris cursed out loud, this could not be a good thing. Turning to look to Cap Wyatt sitting next to him in the front passenger seat he waited the Captain’s orders......

A quiet moment at the parties table turned in to something else as without warning Dapples P-dragon started flirting from person to person. Having not a lot of experience with said dragon, Maximus at first did nothing, but Char’s reaction was enough to get him moving.
Oh this is not good
Maximus thought to himself as Char rose from his seat, bow to hand, an arrow nocked, and quickly took stance at the tavern’s main window, looking outside. His shield to his left hand brought closer to him while his right drew the sword from his back to lay across his lap. Maximus then moved his char back from the table to give himself more room to act if needed. Now alert and ready the big ex-gladiator scanned the interior for any signs of danger waiting on a word or deed to send him into action.
“Is there something wrong with your familiar?”............

Ya know Eol you really should let the rest of us, your fellow Mods, warn people first about your Face Licking obsession.
But anyway Black_Gypsy let me be the second of the RDINN staff to welcome you to our site. As you may already have seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. So have no fear there is always something for everyone including those Free Form games you mentioned. The rules for them are pretty straight forward, there are no rules but what the person who starts the game stats upfront. Alot of the time is just true Role Playing based upon dialogue between the people invovled.
Now the Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.
So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and we hope you’ll feel at home. If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.

With the stalemate over Bowmen and his crime/trial/incarceration having been dealt with non violently Wolf found it ok to relax, his hand moving away from any hint of readiness to draw a weapon. With a quick glance to make sure all was good he turned to Captain Wyatt.
“Hey Cap’n I’ll grab the mule and meet you all out front in say 5 minutes.”
With that Fenris was out the swinging door and on his way to where he had parked the mule.....

When the Knight Arien seemingly accepted the quest to the priest’s tower without first discussing the matter with the rest of the group, Maximus would be silent no more. He would be damned if he allowed Arien to volunteer them without guaranteed compensation. However before the huge warrior could speak he was beaten to it by Adrian.
"We need to find those priests. They will at least know our next move."
Once he the ex-Red circle mage was done even Maximus had to admit he had a point. If what he said about ’time travel’ was possible then it was in all’s best interest, reward aside, to find a way to beat the demons this next meeting.
Then in the course of the next few minutes it seemed decided that the group would go to this tower, a messenger would sent to Dwan and even the addition of the tavern’s bard to the group was set. Chugging down the second beer, for Arien had as he had hoped not touched it, Maximus stood and joined Adrian at the ready to depart..........

Subject: Ok I see my above post has been misconstrued somewhat.
First off my lady Vanadia I was in no way criticizing Roger for the way he does his games just stating the fact that where I try to keep my game going with “new blood” so to speak he does not. If I did not like his Dming style I sure as hell would not play in his games.
As for ‘likening to swap players’ that’s wrong I hate having to do that, however sometimes to keep my game going I have no choice but to do that. I have a good core of players at the moment and with YeOldes return it just got stronger.
Second Roger I enjoy the games you run and as a player in them for years now I know just how much time and effort you put into them and as a player I appreciate that. As for saying ‘too soon’ again it comes down to player replacement that’s all. I also agree with you and Van that in part it was my lack of posting that as you say killed it, and for that I again apologize. If in the end you 100% decide to kill it, as that now seems to be the case, I will still be available, like in the case of CWWLLO for a restart.
Again I apologize to both you and Vanadia if I caused irritation with my post, yet the words written in that post I still stand behind as they were not intended as a slur against anyone.

Subject: A Filler post LOL
As the two stealthier members of the group made their way to a chair or a shadow Maximus, Adrian, Kilgrim and Arien found themselves left out in the Inn by themselves. Shrugging his big shoulders he gained the nearest semi vacant table and with a quiet stare and no words convinced those already seated to find somewhere else to sit. Waving over the other three he began to look around for a waitress as first Arien then Dapple made their comments on the present state of affairs.
Though he remained quiet he had to agree with Dapple that doing something for no gain was pointless. Maybe before Jal’s death he might have leaned towards Arien’s sense of nobleness in the knight’s goody two shoes way but no longer. If they wanted this former arena warrior to check out some damn tower the price would need to be worth it.
Catching the eye of a server he ordered a round of beer for each at the table. Knowing that there was a good chance Arien would not drink his brought a smile to the ex-gladiators face, for if he did not this would give Maximus two mugs and no waiting time to order.
