As far as what's next I'm cool with any of the below......................

1.  A town adventure with discussion with the locals and whatever.  This can be hard and very slow with play-by-post but is doable.  Or I can zip through these portions.

2.  A puzzle type of setting.

3.  A true dungeon crawl.  

4.  A short quest with simpler plan and shorter completion line.

5.  A longer adventure with a bigger hook - whether you know it yet or not.

As for these caves, I guess my gut feeling is a bust. Time to move on I would agree.

Feeling the power of the Goliath druid's healing, Fenris smiled and thanked him.

"Thank you kind sir, healing is always well recieved." Streching his tired bones he retrieved the rest of his gear and was once again happy to have 2 shortswords in his hands then daggers.

I know I've been slow with things but I'm still in. Just need some healing is all can't do much with 1 HP and no healing potion or spells

With the dust finally settled and he himself in bad shape Fenris was surprised to see instead of a Naga ready to finish him off but the group of adventurers that had initially freed him from the Hobgoblins.

Moving forward painfully, he greeted them again. “Well met once again. It seems you chased off that creature of darkness, and in not a moment too soon, as I would surely have not lasted another round vs it.”

Finding himself to weak to really stand, the Half-Elf Rogue/Mage found himself sitting on a large rock, awaiting what to do next.

Sorry I did not post I just got home from Round Rock Texas where the convention was at. I spent the last 6 days in the hospital there due to seizures. Saturday at around 2:45pm while playing a game called Circus Maximus I got up to take my move as I was counting out the hexas of movement I had the 1st of 3 seizures that would put me in ther hospital for these next 6 days. But after a series of MRI's and an intial Catscan upon arrival at the ER is was revealed my tumor has returned. As to what lays ahead I guess I'll find out when I talk to my doctor next week. Wish me luck, no op, as the percentage chance of perm damage goes up.

Fenris realized he had only moments left to live, down to 1 health and not knowing the current health of the Naga his next course of action could very well be his last. ~Well if I am to die let it not be said I died without giving this creature a fight~

Throwing himself once more at the Naga, he hoped to hit it with both daggers and gain through hits and his sneak attack enough damage to kill it.

(Will attempt to once again hit it then using Fancy Footwork/Cunning Action, Dash 60 feet away from the Naga to the West of the tunnel.)

Post submitted in PVT chat. If the Naga see's me on it's rd and attacks I'll use the spell of shield as a reaction to gain a +5 to AC if it hits me. Right now along with the +3 from Bladesong I have an AC of 18, not counting Shield, with Shield my AC would be 23 till the end of my next turn.

I'm pretty sure Control Flames will not give you enough flame to create a Fireball. Also keep in mind any area effect spells that are cast against the Naga will also hit me as I'm easily inside such areas. 

If you approach and make a melee attack and then retreat it will get an attack of opportunity.  You could use cunning action to avoid that, but you are already using it (and thus your bonus action) to hide.  I just want to be clear on the rule implications.

My Rogue sub-class is Swashbuckler, which allows me this abilty-  Fancy Footwork SCAG, pg. 47

~What the…? As Fenris quickly came back to his senses, his body crackling in electric pain, he realized that the worm like creature had hit him with a lightening bolt. Armed only with his daggers and without wearing armor he found himself happy he was not just a Rogue. He quickly readied the cantrip of Booming Blade, casting it on one of his two daggers and quickly attacked…….

(OK after my two weapon/booming blade attack I’ll move 15’ft away and using the bonus action gained from Cunning Action will attempt to Hide using the dust to possibly gain Advantage for my next attack.)

Seeing the area before him was clearly not steady for a mass transit across, the half elf went to his newly found backpack retrieving his 50' of rope 2 pitons and a hammer. Looking to the dwarf Gerdar, the Half-Elf handed him one end of the rope, a piton, and the hammer.

"Good sir I fear I do not have the strength to firmly intrench this piton into the wall, would you do so at least on this end? I will attempt to reach the other side and do the same and make sure to hold it as the next of us after me attempts the same." (Assuming Gerdar fastons the piton and rope)

With the first of the two pitons firmly embedded in the wall, Fenris thanked the dwarf, then dropping everything of weight, (including armor) but his two daggers and retrieving the hammer from the dwarf, made his way onto the unstable area and attempted to cross to the other side.

(OK if I get to the other side I'll do the best I can with a STR of 8 to hammer the piton into the wall and create a rope bridge over the unsteady area.)

"Does this feel like someone does not want us going deeper?", Gerdar pondered, stroking his beard, "With this thing about every potential new passage is dangerous - I'd say the tunnels themselves hate us but I'm usually loved by tunnels. But were the goblinoids smart enough to leave the place in such state or is there something else in play..."

Looking up as Gerdar revealed his thoughts, Fenris himself thought the dwarf could be on to something.

"As we are in no hurry, allow me to investigate to see if the area before us could be somehow made to be crossed."

(Using my investigation, my passive is a 19, I'll attempt to give the closet X area to us a a more in depth look to see if we could possibly firm it up for us to cross)

Having used a spell to gather that an older magic was the cause of the breeze, Fenris now turned to the matter of the room's contents. Regardless of why the remains were as they were, they needed to be dealt with.

"Well no matter of the magic, the main concern now is that these remains must be destroyed before we move on."

As we can't seem to find it normally I'll cast Detect Magic.

Hmmm interesting that Fenris could now feel a cool moist breeze on his face standing in the doorway to this area for really the first time since entering the cave. Wanting nothing to do with the heap of dead and clearly half-eaten refuse, the Half-Elf Rogue/Wizard decided to find the source of the breeze.  (Using my Investagation and Perception Skills)

Yeah, I'm totally up for a long rest lol. Got my gear, now just need my spells........

Thanks that will help, though I was kinda looking at how I'd survive with only 1 ranged cantrip and maybe left over Goblin/Gnoll weapons lol.
