Topic: Audalis Dreaming QnA Subject: Yet another few questions
At the moment our mode of transportation is our feet correct, we do not have horses for the the Syl's and lone human and a pair of ponies for the Khords.
Also I've briefly looked over the character sheets and we all really as a group do not have all that much camping type gear so as the Railir I assume are a group of mountains what time of year are we in??

Topic: Audalis Dreaming Subject: Yeah right no innocents in the hunt.
"If our friend Wan is right, we may not have time tae be askin' for higher pay. Much as I love a good bit o coin' in me pouch, I don't want it drippin' in the blood o' innocent folk. As for lettin' the local toughs soften the Cruniak up, well ... It mak's sense frae a certain point o' view, but I'm nae comfortable wi' usin' livin' people as bait. Not when I have no grudge against 'em. It may be best tae get movin' soon. Any thoughts?"
Crow using his superior Syl hearing to both listen to the crowd and the conversion at the table at the same time, overheard Bjarki comments and just had to laugh.
“Ahh my Khord friend surely you jest, those be not innocent folk we would be using as your so called ‘bait’ but adventurers much like ourselves that would also be after the reward. Call them the competition if you like and if they were to die killing lots of Cruniak, well that just leaves less for us to deal with in the end. By all means let them go first I have not a care if they live or die just as long as we end up with the money in the end. As for leaving soon, mid morning looks good as this eve is already mostly done, and late night approaches”
Turning to Wan he smiled at his Keldan friend
"As to the fine redhead my friend, I nay plan to ask for her hand in marrige, but perhaps a night under the sheets is a possiblity."
(OOC: OK once again am assuming its early evening say 7-8ish?? If I am incorrect I will edit this post accordingly)

Topic: Audalis Dreaming Subject: perhaps
Crow was quiet as first Gamard, then Bjarki and then even Tâlyonaas his fellow Sylvari spoke up in favor of undertaking this quest. Though the money was reasonable, the risk perhaps was not. To go seeking a Cruniak stronghold in mountains over run with the creature’s plus finding and defeating their leader who clearly was smart enough and strong enough to band such a large number together, would not be easy, even for 1000 Fascat.
“What say you now Crow?, are we suitable companions once more to battle the Cruniak menace?” Asked Tâlyonaas from across the table.
“Perhaps, yet I think the reward should equal the danger and mayhap we should think on discussing with the Mayor a bit more in regards to that. However there is still one at this table who has yet to say yay or nay.” Glancing to the lone female at the table Crow addressed her.
“So Bas what say you, should we tentatively accept this quest while we discuss with the Mayor a larger reward??".......

Topic: Audalis Dreaming QnA Subject: A Little clarifaction
OK first post is up and now a Q/A question...
Since I'm not familier with Audalis currency I'm assuming a Leven is like a Gold piece and a Fuscat is perhaps the same as a Platinum piece?

Topic: Audalis Dreaming Subject: Patience young Jedi :)
Maithias Crowmarhte aka Crow was enjoying his extra 100 Levens and had clearly caught the attention of the cute redheaded human bar maid, as she seemed quite eager to keep close to his area of the bar when not serving drinks elsewhere. So at first he was unaware, as he watched her seductively move around the bar, of the commotion outside and the entrance of the old man catching only the words ‘1000 Fuscat reward.’
Though he continued watching the redhead, who seemed to blush every time his eyes met hers, he used his Syl hearing to listen closer to the crowd’s mutterings.
“Go after the Cruniak”
“That’s a lot of money”
“Wipe out their lair”
“That’s a lot of money”
“Bring back the head of their leader”
“That’s a lot of money”
Then as the serving wench disappeared into the back for a moment, he finally became aware of Wan’s excitement, a twinge of magic sparkling in the Keldan Mage’s eyes. As Crow watched, Wan pulled his dagger and whetstone and began to sharpen the blade as gave voice to his thoughts.
"Well Crow? I'm in if you are. No need resting on our laurels."
Looking over the other people sitting at the table, assessing who out of the four of them might also take up the Mayor’s offer Crow turned back to his friend.
“I say patience my friend, let us first see who else takes up this offer before we decide to commit. That is not that much money to risk our lives alone and I would like to know who we would be traveling alongside and trusting our lives to before we say aye.”
With an ear back into the crowd and a sign to the redhead for another lite ale, Crow listened and waited...........
(OOC: Gonna listen to the crowd to get a hint of the possible undertone of this annoucement. Is the Mayor's word good, is it bad, has he made false offers before, is he mostly trustworthy ect...)

Topic: Weird War II Q n A Subject: Minor clarifaction needed
Almerin in his post acts surprised to find that Romo knows Max. As mission Commander he too should know who Max is as the group trained together right or were we just lumped together last minute? He should also know of Max and Romo's friendship through thier service records and the fact they served together in the 82nd at the same time. Plus in a unit of only 20 men he should easily know who is who.
So I'm a little confused here Alacrity before we were only 5 now 6 survivors what was the unit make-up as a whole. Out of the 20 men how many grunts, Sgts and Officers were there?

Topic: Audalis Dreaming QnA Subject: OK Maybe the Wrong idea
Ok I think Tiamat, you and Lady Dark have the wrong idea of what I meant by a party leader. It is pretty much what you said above.
Say we find a cave with 3 Ogres and an Evil Wizard we all post our ideas of how to go about defeating said bad guys, some are good, one or two are bad and then we as a party decide on how to proceed. The party leader then assigns who is going to do what IN GAME in relation to their skills and the plan so the DM knows exactly whats going to happen and we attack as a group hoping all goes well.
In the case of a stalemate, he as leader picks the best plan and the party goes forward doing its thing. In a case where the party cannot agree on any plan he again picks the best one of the ones proposed and makes a final choice and the party moves forward.
I believe having a party leader helps keep the game from slowing down due to party indecisiveness and helps find a middle ground the players can all agree on. Yes the party leader has the final say but it’s not going to be a dictatorship if that’s what your afraid of. I put my name in the ring for party leader because Hammer suggested it and in truth I wouldn’t mind being the party leader for once, but that in no way means it has to be me that can be decided by everyone before the game starts or even in game if that’s what is wanted.
I don’t have to be leader but it will determine how I play him in the game as being party leader will make him more responsible as far as the party is concerned. Not being party leader just means he will look out more for himself and his friend Wan then the rest of the party. Either way’s ok by me.
EDIT: Or we can do as RP posted above .

As both a DM here and a player when you don't have a clear leader the story and game slows down with everyone trying to push thier idea's as the right way to go.
Look at CWWLLO Al the leadership flipped between Olan and Brom and though it still slowed the game we at least had that to keep the party on track. Just saying is all.
