In all Honesty Al's joke got me, I just came on for the first time today and only got to the end of Al's opening post. I mean I was so shocked and upset at these new fing stupid rules and Olan's leaving I skipped all the rest of the posts and logged in and headed into the staff section to raise hell and find out what the hell was going on and then and only then saw the posting saying it was a joke and remembered it was April Fool's day  .
So let it be know he got at least 1 staff member for sure.

Subject: Hey she's Noctus's soulmate LOL
With the Bugbears all dead or something, their bodies like the Kobolds before them disappearing into nothing, Crow came up empty in his search for any clues. As he was attempting to scan the dead Bugbear in front of him before its disappearance, Derry along with Noctus had freed the women and woken her up.
The Elf thief had to admit that he himself was caught off guard as the women suddenly leaped from the table she was sitting at and started to twirl around as if dancing. All the while singing loudly “I’M A LITTLE TEAPOT, SHORT AND STOUT. HERE IS MY HANDLE, HERE IS MY SPOUT.”
Overhearing Noctus turn to Derry and speak, Crow gathered himself and began to move quietly towards the nearest shadows with a view of the main house, pausing only to speak to his two fellow teammates.
“Whatever you do, do it fast if there are more of these real/unreal creatures around she will draw them to us all too quickly.”
With that said and a quick glance at Ela to follow him, he moved back out into the darkness of the night.........

I just don't want the game to stop again as this game, along with CWWLLO and Bromern's Cyberpunk one, have to date been my favorites as a player.

Newhouse, Beylix, 11:00am Day Three
Wolf had seen the sheriff enter and was close enough to the door before it closed to hear the Sheriff slide chamber a round and was about to intervene but something held him back. Call it instinct, call it patience, hell call it fear of doing the wrong thing, Wolf paused. Then after a few minutes, that seemed as if hours, the door opened and Wolf had to step back as one of the deputy almost barreled into him he was moving so fast. With a quick polite nod he took off down the street hollering “Luke! Luke! There some people to see you!”
With the door open and no longer sensing the same tenseness as before, Wolf said to hell with it and entered the jailhouse, looking over to Wyatt for a cue as to whether everything was ok . He at once could tell that Wyatt was tense, but then again he always seemed to Wolf to be that way, right on the verge of action and in a strange sort of way it was sort of normal.
With a seemingly innocent scan of the interior he took in the Sheriff, the second deputy, the prisoner in the cell, and Sam in the corner. Marking everyone’s placement and then leaning against the wall made himself seem relaxed letting the Cap’n and Sam do all the talking.

Subject: I could Try to NPC him I guess
I'd need to know more about the character, how exactly would you want me to NPC him as a full time character or a "only in the critical area's" like combat and so on.
Or I could ask around in Trilogy and see if one of my other players there would be willing to NPC him till his return. Keeper of Dragons or Kyle perhaps as they are RL friends.
I too hope YeOlde returns soon as he also plays in my game and I have enjoyed his RP quite alot and again I hope nothing has happened to him. After this past month I know how quickly medical issues can hit and throw one off track.
Lets hope if he returns or not that he is at least ok.

Crow held tight until the vitals of the creature were severed and he rode the beast to the ground.
With a light leap before the dead Bugbear hit he was up and ready for any other hostiles but saw that all the other creatures were down and dead but the one asleep from Derry’s spell. Moving towards it he heard Derry be the first to speak.
"Brandr, can you heal these wounds? I have the mages two healing potions, but it might be wise to hold those until we are out of healing spells. But they belong to all, so let me know if they are needed. We can't go on without some healing. Noctus, you seem healthy yet. While some of these others heal, care to help me find out who was being held captive? And there is a bugbear up there as well. Anybody want to cover us while we free the unfortunate victim?"
Already on his way towards said Bugbear, Crow turned and caught the Mage’s attention.
“I’ll see to the sleeping one, I need no healing”
Gaining the creatures side, Crow quickly and with no hesitation, slit the Bugbears throat.
Afterwards he searched the body for anything of worth or for anything to tell him more about where the Bugbears had come from, markings, tattoo’s or some other type of affiliation common to Bugbear tribes………..
(OOC: Unless someone stops him he will do the same to all the dead Bugbear bodies.)

Subject: Explanation
Ok I do alot of my combat scenes through die rolls based on character stats and abilities. As I am unfamalier with 3rd/3.5/4th Edition rules I did adlib a bit to give the whole post some excitement.
No one took damage and no one was really hurt as it was all a teaching session. Remember you guys are lower LvL Students being teached by high LvL teachers do you really think the outcome was not determined in advance . Some of the die rolls I did went against you and some went for you I apologize for any confusion on your part as well as on mine and hope to do better by you the players in any future posts

As the sleep spell failed to drop all of the Bugbears Crow knew it was going to get down & dirty. His throwing daggers clearly useless he drew and gripped both short swords and slowly maneuvered around the outskirts of the fight, waiting to make any available backstab strikes.

With the students all on the “field of Death” Tann watched as each reacted to the attacking 12 Bugbears.
Steelight choose an unarmed attack and was quite successful pummeling the bugbear before him repeatedly watching it forced to its knees. However with a huge grin it and a roar it lunged back up and proceeded to grab the Human Monk and throw him 20 feet away into the arms of 2 of his companions who while one sat on him the other captured him.
For Levanna, not a melee fighter for sure, it was to be the use of magic as a ray of frost shot forth freezing two of the Bugbears in their tracks. However having no one to protect her the young Halfling found herself quickly subdued by 3 Bugbears and laying on her stomach hog tied hands and feet above her.
For Darkon it was even worse as he paused in his movements to disbelief the 2 Bugbears headed towards him. In that moment of hesitation he was driven back by two very painful hits and quickly like Levanna subdued, hog tied and lying on the ground.
For Ion another user of magic, and other things, it was the spell of Monster Summoning I that was voiced, however though the spell was successful the 1 round wait for his allies to appear was bad as 4 Bugbears surrounded him and quickly, with a bit of trouble, soon had him trussed up like his 2 fellow students.
The arrival of 6 Goblins a round later was quickly dealt with as they were no match for the heavily armored Bugbears.
With the darkness that had first assaulted the students quickly clearing, Professor Tann’Talas watched as the Halfling Rogue of the group, Briar, at first was successful in hitting an attacking Bugbear using his sling then watched, his mouth dropping open, as the Halfling tried to hide in the middle of the wide open field!!. A grunt of disappointment escaped his lips as 2 of the Bugbears, chased the small quick Halfling down and had him tied and lying next to the others within seconds.
The only one of the students to have any type of real success against the Bugbears was perhaps the one least expected by the Professor to do so and that was the Goblin Zeph.
His quick use of a bow and continued movement gained him a number of clean hits against his Bugbear foes and kept him out of their hands and free from attack
Having seen enough the Professor clapped his hands and in the course of the 3 claps appeared on the field, revealed the Bugbears as polymorphed 15 year old humans, and had all the captured students freed and standing before him.
“Very, very poorly done with no teamwork at all!! If this had been a real combat with real Bugbears and not Polymorphed children you all would be dead!! Now off with you and take this extra time to think on your actions here today. Next time be more prepared!!.”
With that the Professor turned and walked into the school proper................

As Wolf pulled the Mule close to the front door of the Beylix jail to let Wyatt and Sam off, he was already looking for a place to park it. After what had happened at the Regina bank he wanted to keep the ’gateway car’ as close as possible in case of a jail break. Finding such a place proved a little bit of a challenge but soon he had the Mule parked and was on his way to join up with Wyatt, a smile on his face at the thought of such a jail break actually happening.
Hell after spoiling a bank robbery, anything was possible
Checking his 2 Beretta pistol SMG’s in their shoulder holsters and the sawed off pump shotgun on his back he was ready for anything.

Personally Crow is keeping in the rear of the group where if things go wrong he can react quickly.
No way is he charging in if the Sleep fails, but he will provide missile support with his knives. He will once the Bugbears are asleep move quickly to cut each Bugbears throat making sure its quite dead.

The darkness at first is magical Darkness and infravision is useless as such. But in the post I do say that the darkness thins and so at that time your vision is as normal.
That is also when both parties finally see each other and the total nummber of Bugbears is as far as you can tell 12. Maybe more, maybe less.
Second as far as the communication between you and your wolf first is it a Familiar?, is it well trained?, or is it just a pet type?. Depending on what type of relationship and or its training is how well you can relay orders or such. Unless they have also changed that from 2 Edition which is the Rules Set I am familiar with.
Merideth any thing to add??

~Hmmm interesting~ thought Professor Tann’Talas as he watched from his magically concealed tower just to the right of the courtyards lower wall as the 5 students quickly entered the area..
~Perhaps this one fancies himself a leader~
Looking to his list of current students he quickly found the speakers name…. Steelight Shadowborne, 3rd year Monk ~All right then let’s see what he can do~ A quick snap of his fingers and the magic of his field of Death took hold……
For the students events happened quickly, one minute they stood in a yard full of daylight readying themselves for training, the next total darkness. Within seconds a loud chorus of guttural screams could be heard along with the sound of many large feet and out of the slowly thinning blackness the students were greeted by the sight of a dozen large Bugbears, all heavily armed and armored. The next surprise for these same students was the fact that each was now armed with his weapon of choice and armored as was appropriate to thier class.
A loud voice was then heard as the Bugbears closed.
“Defend yourselves or be killed,... Training has begin”!!

You did say you wanted to modify Wolf rt. Soo make him more of a Mechanic/Gunslinger then a Mechanic/Brawler. I'm sure I could pull that off and if not I'm sure between all of us we can find someone to play one.
