Ok due to sudden Real Life issues I find myself down a player. As such I'm currently in need of 1 player to take over the below character
Yes Trilogy is a high lvl game but don't let that scare you, its really very simple to play as I do everything. For example...

APPEARANCE
Valene does everything in her power to appear like every other Halfling you see. She doesn't want to stick out. When given the choice she wears nondescript clothes and keeps her long dark hair either in a multitude of tiny braids pulled back and held with a leather strap or simply loose, and frequently in her face if she has no other way to obscure herself. She has a perpetual smile since to her life is a big long prank. She claims to have a tattoo though it's not in an obvious area. When she gets the chance she wears a mask of some kind.
BACKGROUND
Valene was raised primarily by her mother since her father was a trader and spent most of his time traveling. She had two brothers and several male cousins that were constantly drawing her into their competitions and teasing her saying the reason she usually lost was that she was a girl (and her being much younger had nothing to do with it.) She slipped out of the house at night to go practice skipping stones or practicing with her brother's sling until she was deadly accurate, more so than the boys. Eventually she learned to climb higher and be sneakier, often winning her victories in less than fair ways, but she was willing to claim them anyway. There was no greater joy for her than beating the boys at their own game, even though the daring stunts almost always resulted in punishment for her. These punishments came in the form of nearly endless wife lessons. as her mother was determined she would be a proper wife and mother someday. Her mother made sure she knew how to mend clothing, cook a proper meal and tend to a household's daily needs.
When the unexpected death of her mother put her family in a dire situation she stepped up and took over the house, staying oddly cheerful despite being in a situation she hated. She found grinning made things more tolerable than sobbing and a joke instead of a tender word cheered someone up faster. When her father's caravan was taken on the road and they heard news that he would not be coming home she made a grim decision and began using the skills she had learned as a child to defeat her brothers to appropriate the items that were desperately needed for daily life. When both her brothers were finally married off she simply slipped away. Hungry but determined she made her way to a decently large city and was taken in by a group of thieves. They honed her rudimentary skills and introduced her to their patron god. She found that while she was sleeping she dreamed of this god and he pushed her to greater heights of accomplishment. He bolstered her confidence, telling her that no matter how bad a situation it was always just a great prank and eventually she'd get her turn about when she played a prank on someone else. Eventually she devoted herself to the god using her thievery and joyful nature to serve his needs. She goes often willingly faces terrible danger in order to gain the things to cheer others, seeing that creating joy in the world is her job. No matter how much she may dislike a particular person, she sees their happiness as vital to their survival and will do what she can to bolster it.

"Ok listen," whispered, Máiréad "these things don't seem to have heard us or the noise of Lum's entrance." She offered Lum a smile to show that she meant nothing by it.
"I think we have the surprise in that they don't know we are here," she went on, "so I say we take advantage of that. The light down there illuminates them brightly, but gives us the shadows. If we sneak down the stairs without our lights, treading carefully, we should be able to sneak up and get close enough that we can surprise them. We move down staying towards the middle of the chamber," She gestured with one hand, "spreading out a little so we won't all get caught if they release their fire at us. Maybe Tomiki to the left and Lum to the right, with Ry and I towards the middle. But stay within range so that I can heal all of us if needed. Ry, you have your lightning. Once we are within range you could ‘zap' them both and then hopefully while they are stunned, Lum and Tomiki could rush in and do what they do. Ry will support you with his magic," she finished up, "I will stay back as usual and heal you if you get hurt. What do you think?" She asked and looked at all of them questioningly.
Having no greater plan in mind and knowing Máiréad to be quite insightful on tactics, for a healer, the Elf Rogue looked to her and nodded his ok. Drawing his 2 short swords quietly he awaited the ok from all and the word to go.

As the four made their way into a new search Tomiki found himself the last one of the group to enter. Following just behind the other three he was surprised when they suddenly stopped. As he pressed forward he heard the big Orc speak.
"Hmmm, " Looks like a good find..see the doors, but them are protected by them big bugs,,Don't know much of them only them are hard to kill,..them got poison bite in front and fire shoot from rear. We need to get through those doors,you got any ideas besides go down and chop them up?"
"Firebugs," Máiréad hissed in a whisper, "these creatures are not natural. They are made by horrible evil men. They are not born, so they are not real life." This was the phrase they would know by now meaning that killing them would earn them no grief from her regarding the slayings. I get a strange... feeling from these," Máiréad continued to whisper, "these are not left over from war. Some one has created these recently, within the last couple years. I have nothing that will harm these creatures, but whatever you do, know that I will ask the Spirits to bless you during the battle."
From what little he knew of them Firebugs were a giant hybrid cross between spider and beetle with the ability to hurl liquid fire from their backsides, a poisonous bite. And damn near invulnerable to blaster fire. They'd have to be killed up close and personal but how to get close?
"Newly made? If someone here can do that, we might not want to be blowing up their front door. or back door. or whatever this is. They obviously knew this door was here, even if we didn't until Lum took his fall. Going in sounds good, but going by ringing the doorbell doesn't. Anyone have any ideas about how to get around them quietly?" When nobody immediately offered up a solution, he continued. "Ok, I do have two lightning spells which should be effective. Lets get some bonus spells going and then do what we can. But I really don't know how quickly the spells will take those things out, so I really need some kind of support in this if you have any ideas."
"Rhy's is right I have nothing to hurt these creatures other them my swords. However as these creatures take time to form the fire they shoot in their bodies, a minute or maybe longer. (4 combat rounds) If Lum or one of you two with your magic could distract them, I could possibly get close enough to use my swords to kill them. However if these are as he says newly made, then not even my swords may hurt them. Maybe we should search elsewhere or leave and return with some better weapons to kill them."
Having given his thoughts, the Elf went silent once more....

Subject: Very very true Thanks Boo Boo
Saw this, meant to post in it, but then football happened and I forgot.
Every Sept 11th my mind goes back to that fateful day and where I was at the moment I heard the news. I was working in a warehouse along with Bannix when, Lisa the office manager, came back into the warehouse and told us the news. The next few hours were spent by he and I trying to finish packing items to be shipped and restocking shelves while going back and forth to get details on what was happening. A very long day for everyone and we fell way behind but it was nothing compared to the people who lost their lives that day.
My heart, mind and love go out to those Americans who died that day just because some asshole thought it was the right thing to do.
And now even worse we have NFL football players sitting or kneeling during our national anthem WTF? Don't these self important idiots realize what that and the flag stand for? The men and women who died for it on Sept 11th? I understand why they do it but why then? As a person that spent 10 years active and was wounded in combat in Panama in 1989 all I can think is take your millions and get the ***K out. You don't want to respect those that die everyday to keep this country free then get the hell gone!. Yes you have the right to make your feelings known, hint hint people died for that, but not during our national anthem
To Colin Kaepernick who started it all, I say is this. "Really, you had to do it then during our national anthem? You're a professional football player who makes millions, millions of people watch you every Sunday including young Americans and kids you could not have found a better way? Really?
I'll stop my rant now and say a small thank you for the many Americans, of all religions and regardless of skin color, that died that day and a thank you to Boo Boo for posting this reminder.

Outside The Rat Pack Night Club | Night City Integrate | Midcity | UrbanZone - Day 2 (Saturday), 1:39 AM PST Weather Conditions: High City (Thunderstorms, 15mph winds from the NE.) | Midcity (Rain, 10mph winds from the NE.) | Undercity (Fog and Rain, no winds.)

As Casino watched his 3 rd burst seemed to have the desired effect causing the car veer to the right, smashing parked cars before finally rebounding into oncoming traffic and crashing headlong into a van with a mighty impact.
Moving quickly, reloading the MPK with a full magazine, he made his way to the boosters car to look inside......
Automatic weapons fire explodes from the inside of the car, bullets flying past his face, from a booster still alive and fighting from the back seat. Barely diving away. the brunt of the full auto burst misses him, yet the big solo feels two bullets slam into him as he goes down. Pain flashing through his upper left shoulder and right bicep, angry at his own carelessness and Fixer and Vegas's stubborn arrogance, that the boosters posed no real threat. he switched from burst to full auto himself. Sitting on his ass, he poured a mass of full metal jacketed 9mm slugs into the interior of the car. His anger growing he stood, slinging the MPK around to his back, and once more moved to the car. Drawing one of his 44's he moved more carefully and peered in. His anger full bore by this time he trained the 44 at each booster, dead or still alive, and put a bullet in each ones head.
Only F*****g way to be sure
Moving slowly he holstered the 44 back under his left arm. Though his anger was still there inside him, seeing the head's of the boosters explode like ripe watermelons under the power of the big 44 caliber slugs, was enough to get it back under control. Moving up to Fixer he noticed the techie had also not gone unscratched.
"Your hurt, how bad?" Casino quickly moved to exam the Tech's leg. "S*** that's gonna bruise and hurt for awhile. Where's Vegas?"
Turning to over look the scene his worst fear about coming outside had come true. Starlight down on the street with blood from a bullet wound.
"Oh F***" moving to the Frank Sinatra solo, he watched as Starlight came up bitching, struggling to her feet with Vegas's help, but very much alive.
"Son of a bitch!, What the hell was that?"
"That was a group of Boosters from the Rat Pack who disagreed with my songs and bedside manner!"
At Vegas's reply, Casino could not help but roll his eyes and shake his head, feeling the pain from two bullet holes that should not have been there but for his partner's ego.
"For the love of all...." Starlight hisses through her teeth, her little body tensing with the shock. Her right hand feebly reaches up and pats around her ribs and then breast. "Where's my frellin' agent!" she groans and allows her body to go limp in Vegas' soaked lap. "If my agent isn't damaged," she breathes listlessly. "An AV should be here any minute now."
"Here's your Agent," replied Vegas handing the smart phone secretary to Starlight., "none the worse for wear!"
Casino watched as Starlight raised her head and looked straight into Vegas's eyes. "Get me on that AV, choomba. I'll be fine. But I want a—" she coughs and a weakly wipes the rainwater from her lips. "—a frellin' report on the run. Santa is looking for a letter."
As Casino moved to help, he saw Vegas had it easily in hand as he lifted Starlight into her AV before drawing his weapons and looking around as if to join the already over fight.
"No worries choomba, its all won and done." Casino informed Vegas before turning away. Moving off the street and back towards the clubs front wall, his pain editor working over time, he reloaded the MPK and 44. With his back leaning against the club's exterior wall he waited for the cops or Lady Campbell's people to take charge of the next few hours......

As the deadline was 7pm central time as stated on the previous page the pick change would normally not count but as the deadlines where not clearly posted by me I'll count it.
So the only ones that got a point then were Odyson and Nomad.
Ok to make things a bit more clear pick deadlines will be as such from this point on all based on Central time. I'll make all 15 minutes before the games instead of 30 mins to give a lil leeway in changing them.

For the most part Tomiki sat quietly, a smile crossing his face, as he watched Lum take the lead, fall a few feet into an entranceway, then as if nothing had happened, mark the steel stairs for recovery. In the few moments before the orc motioned for them to move on the Asian raised Elf thought back to what had brought him here and the nature of the people around him.
His hopes of finding his human brother and sister always foremost in his mind and though his main goal he was smart enough to know running the Rust Wastes on his own was just not a very good idea. Enter Dwan Granitecrusher and the three people with him. Hard to believe the Elf thought to himself it's been a full year already That he'd been searching the wastes for both his lost family and as a Reclamation Scout.
There was Lum of course their current ‘meat shield' some called him, but unlike many of his kind Tomiki found the orc to be nothing like the vicious beasts they were made out to be. Good in a fight and as dangerous as orc's in general still Tomiki sensed something deeper in him then just rage.
Then there was Máiréad, the group's only real healer. Though in good shape, for a human, she could fight in combat as a last resort, but she wasn't very good at it sticking to her magic for the most part. Tomiki having found out her weapon of choice was the staff had offered to train her in the discipline of BÅjutsu the art of the stick and staff and though no where near a master was pleased when she agreed. The two of them trained whenever both had the free time to do so.
Last of the group was Rhyson, another elf and magic-user but unlike Máiréad his magic was offensive in nature where the human girl's was healing. Though not a loud mouth the younger elf was nonetheless not closed mouthed about his past and was not one to seemly or desire to keep secrets. Of Rhyson's many traits this was the only one that Tomiki worried about. Sometimes it was better to keep a secret then to reveal it to just anybody. However the Elf mage knew no matter what, Tomiki was there for him in a fight as was the same for all of this group that after a year together he called his friends.
As for himself he was average, if not slightly smaller, then normal sized for an elf. Though good looking as most elves he did have a long thin scar running from the back of his jaw to just past his ear. A memento from the people who had killed his foster family as Tomiki had killed them. His eyes a strange violet seemed to be at times too intense to look into. Most that had the misfortune to do so on the edge of his temper compared them as if falling into a black hole. His long silver haired dyed a deep black to keep it from standing out in the dark tunnels of the wastes. His frame well formed and lean he was more about dexterity then strength. After all his role on the team was finding the group ways in and out, not to really stand out front and fight. For him combat was more about finding your enemies weakness and exploiting them, then Lum's method of charging head on and just killing them. Though the Elf rogue had to admit that worked to.
Dressed mostly in black clothing he wore under it a suit of scout armor flexible and lightweight. Though it was perfect for his job as the team's rogue it did not give Tomiki as much armor as he would have liked. His weapons of choice the two Ninja-To short swords sheathed at his back, his human father's red gemmed one and his own gem less one. He hoped one day to find the right gem to add to it's hilt and he knew he would know once it was found. Under his right arm was slung a blaster rifle, at his right hip a blaster pistol. Hidden upon his body a dozen throwing stars for silent ranged death when the blaster rifle was just too loud or too sight visible. His main role with his human family had been assassination and he found the skills of Ninjitsu very handy in the groups adventures.
Now here they were again once more in the wastes headed into another of the old lost places looking for anything of worth.. As he finally stood to follow the big orc Tomiki had to smile once more. Nothing much better then to be with friends facing the unknown
((Ok I took a few liberties but after a year together I figured they were quite possible. If I posted anything anyone feels was overstepping let me know and I will edit my post accordingly. So as we say in Trilogy GAME ON!))

Tomiki Kenji was born an elf to a prominent elf family that did not want him, within a matter of hours he was left in an alley all alone. By fate or the gods some say he was found by a young woman. The human women feeling an immediate bond to the Elven child took him home to her family. Though at first hesitant, her determination to raise the elf child convinced her very traditional focused family to accept him as their own.
The first 20 years of his life from age 5 consisted of training in a stealthy style combat with weapons and in the art of not being seen. It was revealed to him during this time that the hesitation of taking him in to his new family was due to the family business of "Aslan" or the Art of Assassination. In the course of this new training He was taught the eighteen disciplines and though he studied each hard he was by far no master at any of the eighteen.

According to the father, they had served an emperor in the time before the dark and they continued the traditions for the day when they would be called to serve again. But there were still evil forces out there that sought to destroy all remaining traces of the traditions.
Then one day Tomiki was returning from an errand hen he was attacked by many men fighting in a similar style that he used. He managed to kill them all but as very badly wounded. BY sheer willpower he returned to his family to discover they had been attacked as well. All were slain, their bodies brutalized and left to rot in the sun. except for that of his human brother and sister. Tomiki buried the dead members of his family, Mother, Father, two uncles, a neighbor and his daughter. The daughter and Tomiki perhaps one day to have been married as both had feelings for the other. Taking up his father's red hilted Ninja-To Sword (precious item) along with his own Ninja-To he went in search of the two remaining human family he had left.
His search for his sibling has lead him to believe they are hiding in the rust waste. He joined Dwan's scouts to be able to move freely in the waste and to keep a livelihood as well.

Subject: Not Samurai, more Ninja like
Ninja were more assassin and rogue like where Samurai were more traditional Japanese Paladin like. That's why I had him learn the art of Ninjitsu rather then Bushido. And I thought what's more different then an elf raised as a Ninja.
Plus also I did it to honor a fallen Innmate named YeOlde as he died on the 24th of Sept 2011 and it's coming up on the 5th year since he passed away. By the end he and I had become good friends through my game and his death hit me hard. Still miss him to this day he was a very great person and Innmate. While I was still a staff member I posted a blog about him. Here is the title if you want to read it. Look for it in the blog area under RDI news it's the 6th story down under Attention all Innmates.
