Elyra looked up at Crow, "So our mighty ranger is scared to go further and will bravely guard the rear? Are you sure that is how you want to be immortalized in song?"

Though taking the time to look at the female Elf Bard would mean less time keeping watch, Crow could only smile and be honest.

“Yep, I'd rather be known for that, then to be sung of as stupid and dead”

Giving her a playful but knowing smile once more of one who knows a secret or two. He tightened his grip on his bow Dragon KEEPER, and brought his gaze back to keeping watch over the rest of the group........

Subject: Could'nt agree more

As Crow stood watch at the top of the stairs cocked bow in hand he listened to the discussions below. However it was Elyra that garnered his attention most.

"I think I know why this gold is just lying around and what happened to the pirates. If I read this right, this is a dragons hoard and the pirates were cursed for trying to steal it." She dug out the single gold coin given to her on the way down the steps. "Perhaps I will leave this here. Now I really think we should return to town and report this and not poke around too much more. One thing I learned from the songs I sing; there are bold adventurers and old adventurers but no old, bold adventurers. There could be survivors further down, that is true. If they managed to stay alive this long. Returning to town would allow us to buy proper supplies to better explore this place. We are already using make shift torches and if we go deeper we might end up trying to get out in the dark."

Dragon Hoard! No way was he going deeper not outfitted with make shift torches and very little gear of worth.

“I agree with Elyra, a return to town before a deeper look is a must. However if you do decide in the end to travel deeper, I will remain here on guard against any undead yet active until your return.”

Remembering the three coins still in his pocket he took them out and dropped them once more onto the steps.

As a mechanic Wolf would know it's a very very slim chance to hit something. But Ody makes a good point as to shooting through the closing ramp. Would Wolf be able to get some shots off also into the ASREV's interior??

However he and I are not using handguns we are using Assault rifles which do more damage and have longer ranges then a handgun. Plus if Ody shoots for the cockpit he should have a good chance of cracking the windshield making it impossible to go into space.

Yeah the chances are slim but who knows the dice may favor us and we damage it enough to cause the bad guys problems

Ok I stopped my post where I did as depending on the outcome of my shots I may need to post more. I’m of course trying to bring the ASREV down. I should have the time to do so as it can’t climb fast enough for me not to get at least 1 clip into it’s belly as it climbs then circles.

I’d try for the cockpit but with only a d6 in guns the belly is a bigger target. Also on most ships the underbelly is the least armored.

Great post though had me on the edge of my seat.

Subject: Combat not over yet :)

As Wolf steadied his stance and aim of the single 97R praying to whatever god watched over the verse things happened quickly and in a totally unexpected way..

‘BLAMMM’

The sound of a high powered rifle coming from behind him seemed to Wolf to be the start of this gun fight. Whoever had fired the shot, most likely Ash from some hidden spot, was dead on hitting the guard about to slam Willow with his rifle. The full force of the rifle shot seemed to Wolf to tear through the Marshall’s armor. As he stumbled back trying to keep upright he failed, falling to the ground hopefully dead.

As Wolf kept sighted on his target, the third Marshall, he caught a bright flash of blue light in the corner of his eye for a moment distracting him. By the time he had once again sighted on the Marshall, Havelock was down and bleeding and the Marshall was headed at a run for the ASREV armed only with a pistol .

Wasting no time the 97R held firmly in hand he fired first one three round burst, then a second, and watched as all six rounds hit the running Marshall. The force of the first three round burst stopping him in his tracks and spinning him around to face the big mechanic. The impact of the second three round burst sent him flying backwards to land hard on the ground. Wasting no time Wolf closed in on the downed Marshall as the ASREV fired up her engines and slowly took flight circling slightly.

“No God**mn go tsao duh* way”

Dropping the 97R Wolf quickly brought the JC39 around to his front to bare onto the ASREV, clicked onto full auto, and let fly with the assault rifles full 50 round clip.

Though the mechanic inside him knew there was very little chance to bring the ASREV down, the brawler in him was unable to just let them go without at least trying and as such the sustained full auto burst. With the ASREV up away, Wolf turned to the Marshall at his feet finding him unconscious and alive.

Hmmm Very good armor Wolf thought to himself as he secured the Marshall. First chance he’d get he would strip the Marshall of his armor and hide it somewhere on board. Hell you never know when good armor would come in handy.

Calling out to four of the male passengers he had them come to his side and had each grab an arm or a leg and had them carry the Marshall to the foot of the Rocinante’s ramp.
Remembering John at the Atmos Processor he called him on the crew radio.

“John, Wolf we are secure here” After giving him a quick rundown of the action Wolf turned to matters at hand.

“So what’s the processor look like, can we get it out fast and back to the ship? I have a feeling we would be better off this rock ASAP”

(Going to stop here for possible interaction with Giddy)

No worries on the knee it was mostly just bruised and swollen. If I may ask, who told you . I only told the players in my own game.

As for a post from me as things stand right now Crow is not doing much but staying where he is bow ready providing high cover. So there is really nothing for me to post beyond that.
If the rest of the party decides to take as much of the coins in the chests as possible I carry a large sack they can use to help carry more.

Also on my character sheet the number of candles used to create the torches needs to be updated so I know how many are left.

Moving fast Wolf was down the ladder and out the door of the Atmo processor in under 2 minutes, well at least it felt that way, and out to the shuttle before he realized that he could not fly the goddamn thing.

“Meh, tah mah duh hwoon dahn.*” Wolf swore as he stopped dead in his tracks. What the hell was he going to do now, no magical mule handy.

Adjusting the JC across his chest he took off at a solid run towards the Rocinante, Knowing there was little to no cover between the shuttle and the ship, the land flat as dried niou-se**. Wolf knew he needed to keep himself between ship and the crowd so they would not spot him coming. He had no clue who the bad guys were but he could guess and in the end it did not matter. The Rocinante home, the crew family.

Run-tse duh fwo-tzoo, Run-tse duh fwo-tzoo*** He repeated in his head as he pushed his running feet harder finally he was close enough to see that a crowd had formed close to the ASREV, As he slowed to get his bearings he heard the crowd react loudly to something but he could not tell what. His only hope was to get closer but with no real cover, where?

Thinking quickly with no real cover even this close to the Rocinante except for the landing strut behind him he saw from his position that the best place for him was right where he was at. Watching the people panic and start running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Wolf could easily see that the JC could do more harm then good in this situation. Moving the rifle to his back he went down to one knee and drew his left 97R. Lowering the frontal grip he brought up the pistol and sighted into the crowd. Just in time to see a helmet-less Federal Marshall, bleeding from the head getting ready to mow down Wyatt. Willow held by a Fed Marshall in full tactical armor, and yet a third armored Marshall about to open fire into the crowd. Gao yang jong duh goo yang**** No time to think, no time to wonder where Ash or Tess could be. No time to do anything but decide which of the three targets he would go for. His finger pulled back gently, he fired his first of two three round bursts.

“Wuh de tyen, ah tyen shiao duh tzoo-foo nee mun”........*****

*Mother humping son of a b----.
**cow dung
***Merciful buddha
****Motherless goats of all motherless goats."
*****Dear god in heaven, in the name of all that’s sacred, bless me with good aim.

(OOC: Ok using whatever points I still have or gained to make these shots. ~deep breath~ Ok both bursts are at the guard getting ready to mow down the liner passengers. After that if the guard goes down I will retrain my sights and if possible fire a third burst at Dillon if he is still standing. If he too is down I will first check out Willows situation then if that too is resolved, cover the ASREV ramp in case the pilot or more guards make an appearance. Of course this is assuming you run the whole combat in one post. If in separate rounds my choices of course may change.)

Subject: The Pacific Rim….What did you Think?

Well I was told by Alacrity that this movie was a good one and he was not wrong. From the minute they started showing the monsters I was hooked and started remembering all my favorite childhood monster movies featuring Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, Mecha-Godzilla and more. Boy I was glad I went to the restroom before the movie as I was stuck to my seat during the fight scenes.

The monsters called Kaiju (Japanese for Strange Creature) were awesome and the ‘Jaegers’ (German for Hunters) were very cool looking reminding me of Mech’s from the Battletech board game. One of the best fight scenes takes place in Hong Kong and a ’Jaeger’s’ use of a cargo ship is fracking off the wall. The TV trailer showing the Jaeger dragging it does not convey the half of it. Another good scene is where veteran pilot Raleigh Becket faces off with rookie pilot Mako Mori with Bo-Sticks.

Now as far as the actors I thought Charlie Hunnam (Raleigh), Rinko Kikuchi (Mako) and Idris Elba (Stacker Pentecost) all did a good job in the film. I was very happy with Hunnam's acting considering I had only known him as Jax Teller from the show Sons of Anarchy. Rinko was new to me as her only non-Japanese movie before this one was called Babel, which I have not seen. However her acting in that film was good enough it seems for which she was the first Japanese actress in 50 years to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Normally a blond she was very sexy and quite beautiful with her dark hair and purple bangs that she made me think of Alacrity’s Firefly game and Vanadia’s character of Willow. So yeah I recommend this movie if you’re a monster movie fan, a Sci-Fi fan, or a Battletech fan as it’s a pretty good flick.

Well as the norm feel free to post your thoughts on the film without spoilers...........

Subject: The Lone Ranger….. What did you Think?

Well what can I say about The Lone Ranger...Hmmm lets see ahh ok well the only thing I really liked about this movie was Johnny Depp. His somewhat comic portrayal of Tonto was good. For example in one scene Lone Ranger is in a tent with a few Indians from Tonto’s tribe discussing Tonto and why he is the way he is. Then when he reunites with him, Tonto asks in a humorous way if they mentioned him. I know it does not sound funny here but the scene itself is.

However those moments still couldn’t for me overcome the fact that for a Disney movie it was quite violent and way over done. Now I don’t mean to say, you the Innmate won’t like it as my friend who went with me thought it was very good. The ride home was interesting to say the least as we discussed why he thought it was good and why I did not

But again I’m glad I only spent $5 to get in though the money I spent on a burger and fries would have been better spent at Bikini’s. The scenery there would have been much better then the movie.

Well as the norm feel free to post your thoughts on the movie and without spoilers..........

My Pistols are 93R's not 97R's as they don't exist in the real world. And as for rate of fire it only has single shot and burst. But as you can see there is a small folding grip on the front to give it balance when shooting burst. I'm trying to decide what would be better the JC assault Rifle or my pistols as I have a 6d in general and a 12d in pistols.
