With the release of the held breath Wolf was once more in control of himself and the fear. His eyes open mind set to the task he checked his 97R’s, his shotgun and the JC and found all up to speed. With a last look at his crew bunk, a bunk he hoped to see again, he made his way to Wyatt’s side.
“Where do you want me Captain?”
“Fenris I want you to hold the ship. Start rigging the cargo bay door to release without hydraulic support. Next I want you to set up anesthetic from the med bay to be released through the fire suppression system should it be necessary. The only room that would be safe from the gas would be the infirmary of course where I’m gonna have John working on the corpses as that can be hermetically sealed.”
As Wyatt was finishing his instructions to the mechanic the two bodyguards of Matherson showed up. They approached slowly with hands aside so they were not mistaken as hostile.
"So ummm...Captain?" the one called Slash said, "We want to help out. That is to say, we can fight and we want to stand with youse guys"
"Yeah, what he said." Hack agreed, "We been in a lot of fights and we know how to handle ourselves. So if you don't mind, we want to help out"
Hearing this Wolf turned to the Captain. “I could use the help in rigging the ship and holding her Cap’n, three be better then just me and John.”
“Hold the ship Mr. Apollo” Wyatt said as he nodded his head in agreement. “Keep yourself and these two volunteers safe.”
With the nod from his captain, Wolf closed the cargo bay door, locking himself and Hack & Slash inside. With the help of the two body guards Wolf moved fast first rigging the cargo bay door to fail by draining the hydraulics thereby causing the doorway to crash down as soon as it is accessed. However the mechanic added an extra surprise having gotten from Ash 3 Smoke Grenades, 3 Concussion Grenades and 6 Flash-bang Grenades he now rigged 2 of the 3 concussion immediately inside the entrance to the cargo bay at the top of the ramp. Positioning them on a nearly invisible tripwire he focused the blast outward from the inside of the Rocinante.
The surprise of the ramp crashing down combined with the two concussion grenades would give Slash, Hack and he time to fire into the mercenaries hopefully confused ranks killing a lot of them, and hopefully if lucky all of them. Next Wolf examined the armor of the two soldiers in hope that he could allow Hack & Slash to use them, but found that both had received enough damage to crack or severely damage the plating within.
Again however Wolf still found a use for the 2 suits thanks to the tracking tags built throughout the armor. This would mean the mercs would know exactly where whoever wore it was and would of course direct there fire there first if they thought the armor was in use. Having the bodyguards gather as much gear as possible to create two rather sturdy looking bunkers on the cargo bay floor. He positioned the two empty suits within them as to appear fully functional and being worn. As he, Hack and Slash would be up above positioned on the catwalk for a height advantage and a faster escape. Wolf once more hoped that the mercs return fire, if even for a few moments, directed at the empty suits would buy the good guys more time.
Next he rigged the sleep gas that Willow had provided earlier into the vent system as Wyatt had ordered. However considering how the merc’s had been outfitted before with ‘Marshall’ Dillon, Wolf held no hope of it being effective though he did give out gas masks and ear plugs for himself and his two companions, along with one smoke grenade each to help cover their retreat if needed.
Then as he left the body guards to add some blocking materials to their position on the catwalk he slowly made his way towards the upper EVA hatch placing flash bangs along his way. The first of the six he placed at the doorway between the catwalk platform and the door into the common area and Infirmary. The second and third he placed at the top of the stairs leading from the common area to dining area and the hallway to the engine room. The last three flash bangs he set up as to further delay pursuit giving him and the two body guards hopefully enough time to escape out of the top EVA hatch. With all six flash bangs positioned he only set the third to fire. The other five he would wire to blow as they passed.
With their escape route ready to go Wolf walked quickly to his engine room and stood a moment in silence looking at one of the places on the Rocinate he called home. Then with a sad determination took the last concussion grenade from his pocket and wired it into the engine as a last resort. If anyone other then he or one of the crew tried to start the ships engine or take it apart for scrap the grenade would arm and explode taking most, if not all of the Rocinante with it.

The sonic booms of three ships crashed through the atmosphere easily heard by all including Wolf just then returning from the engine room. Though he was not in the cockpit the ship sensors still picked up the ASREV, a CL-54 Cargo Lifter and finally a Victoria Class Corvette. With the Intel passed to his handset by the ships automatic systems, he quickly passed the information relays the Intel over the ship-linked handsets.
Wyatt confirmed receipt. Wyatt it was clear had already heard the sound barrier being broken, but the announcement of the ship types coming their way was of immediate concern.
“Wyatt one last thing if we don’t make it I rigged the ship to blow if the engines are started or taken apart, hopefully leaving nothing for these *Ching-wah TSAO duh liou mahng to claim. If you or the others make it I just wanted you to know. **Via con Dios Captain”
With everything done he hurried back to the cargo bay's raised catwalk platform. Positioning Slash to his left and Hack to his right Wolf took the center of the ships 3 man defense. JC at the ready he waited for the merc’s to make their move.

Roger, Ody, my gear load out was posted, I believe, before I was assigned to hold the ship. I would not have taken frag grenades for a battle within the ship as that could cause more un-repairable damage then bullets. I picked the grenades I did as they will cause less damage to the ship then Frag or H.E grenades, though I still need something to rig the engines with.
Do we have anything that can go boom and destroy the Rocinante, or do I need to rig something on my own. As the ships Mechanic that should be fairly easy for me.
As for the grenades I'll be using most of them to assist in the bodyguards and my escape as needed.
As for the Falcon's can I give them in my posts to the bodyguards? I wanted the Uzi's for them as I wanted them to have better firepower then just handguns vs the merc's. I'm pretty sure they will happily except them as I'm sure they do not want to die.

First: How many, if any, gas masks are on board?
Second: From cargo bay to the EVA hatch at the top of the ship what is the travel time at a good sprint?
Third: Can Wolf get the use of the following gear.
The 2 Heckler Uzi's with their 10 mags
3 Smoke Grenades.
3 Concussion Grenades
6 Flash-bang Grenades
2 HE Grenades or a Mag Charge as I assume it goes boom rt
Ok I have my post in mind and the basics on paper but need the info above to see if its viable.

With Seth’s acceptance of the yanmianlin all JC could do was make one more check of the ship before take off. With everything looking to be secured the PR man took his normal spot during take off and made himself comfortable. Though he hoped for a normal trip in the Black he knew with the amount of threats on Fairchild’s head there was a good chance it could get hairy.
However there were times when JC liked it hairy and though he feared for the rest of the crew he did look forward to them to keep himself in practice with his skills. It was unfortunate that the hull of the Destiny was as it was with no hope of a gun range. However it was still home and for JC having been granted this ship as a home he was ok with that. As he was getting ready to doze, a state for JC of not fully asleep yet still getting rest, there was a knock on his door.
When JC opened the door he found Jon wait on the other side. As he moved out of the way to let the Captain enter Jon seemed wired up.
“You’re not going to believe what’s going on.”
“You forget Jon we both fought in the war and have traveled the Black together for awhile now, so try me.”
Jon told the PR man what Stephanie has discovered with the use of the doubles, the intrigue of this simple fare was mounting by the minute. Jon may worry too much but he wanted JC to know every angle of what was going on. The may have blushed a bit as told JC about Stephanie walking in on him and the wedding planner. Jon warned him that Asante could approach him and it was up to his best judgment how to handle it.
~Laughing~ “Well if she does come to me I’ll be sure to get her undressed. purely to check for concealed weapons of course”
Jon was relieved to be sitting with JC, there was something about being able to talk to another man that just seemed easier. He had to admit to himself that he was hiding out a bit.
Jon was now even toying with the thought that Badger could be setting them up to take the fall while he played both sides. That business the brothers was up to could just as easily be for whoever was hunting Miss Lillian. He told JC his concerns just to get them off his chest, as they say a burden shared is lighter.
“Well if the brothers are working for the ‘bad guys’ then the ‘bad guys’ are in a serious hiring slump. Either they are as they seem, a pair of amateurs, or they are some damn good actors. I’ll keep tabs on them for sure, get e’m to talk to me and so on. If they are faking stupidity I’ll try to get them to make a mistake.”
“Well get some rest, we’ll have to take shifts at the helm and still keep an eye on things.”
“You want me to fly this bird, Really? ~laughing~ Better check with Tess first before you have ME sit anywhere near HER seat. I enjoy my life, what little is left, and cleaning up the helm after she plasters my insides all over it will be a chore.”
With a smile on his face to show Jon he was only partly joking JC showed the captain out. However he had been serious about the brothers. If they were indeed conning everyone, JC would make a best effort to find out.

And just like that things in this parlor of massage changed. Crow at once recognized the new enemy as Bugbears as he moved confidently to the attack long and short swords at the ready. His attack quick and to the point he was surprised as the creatures thick armor deflected his blows though he still scored a hit.
However the Bugbears return attack was quicker then Crow had thought possible and having misjudged it the Syl Ranger was unable to dodge it in time. Taking the strike across his head Crow took it full force causing him to stagger backwards, his ears ringing, and he himself slightly dazed.
Raising both swords having learned a valuable lesson he would have liked to stand his ground, but the parties shortage of fighter’s gave him no choice. Moving into melee once more Crow tried to hit and not be hit...........

As he pulled back the curtain Crow found himself looking into another small room. There, before him stood a human woman with red hair, green eyes and quite beautiful even to Sylvan eyes. Standing next to some type of padded table she was dressed all in white leather. The outfit only going to midway between the women’s knees and thighs. From this point Crow could see she wore white garters and white silk hose going down to white shoes with an exaggerated heel.
As the woman moved a step away from the table, Crow at once brought out his swords not sure just what the women was doing here. With a gesture towards the table.
“Welcome sir. “Would you like a nice relaxing massage?”
The Sylvan Ranger finally realized the room was similar to a massage parlor as that found in the higher Elf houses and the women a magical masseuse.
Though intrigued by the women’s sexy beauty, Crow had no time for constructs or magical massage parlors. Closing the curtains he returned to the rest of the party to inform them what he had found and that another portal stood within the room.................

First off welcome back to the Inn its always nice to see a member of the old crowd still around.
As for calling the Inn a graveyard I'm sorry you feel that way, as for me the Inn is still the same place it has always been. There are some good games running, a number of new Innmates and some very good DM's here. Maybe what you need to do is get more involved like you said instead of just being a lurker. Start a game or join one make suggestions, start a thread like this one. Sometimes all it takes for change is one person willing to actually take an interest.

For Wolf the time between the meeting and getting set for the fight was one of prep re-prep and thought……
What was he doing here? Yeah he was part of the crew but he was no Browncoat like Wyatt or Gunslinger like Ash or Sam. He was a freaking mechanic for the Black’s sake! Ok sure he’d done ok in the mineshaft with Ash his first true fight as a Roc crewmen and yeah he done ok in the shootout here at the ship but was he up to this?
Stepping back from the gear spread out on the bed before him he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Nerves, all it is, is nerves, a little bit of fear is a good thing Fenris Apollo, means your alive, means your not to stupid to be scared. Don’t let it consume you, use the fear let it keep you aware of what it means to be a part of this crew, the Roc and the Black. Do your best Wolf just do your best

As JC stood quietly and watched the proceedings he was about to ask for everyone's weapons but Angela beat him too it.
"Now, I'm guessing you all have lockboxes for yer weapons, or do you need to use one of ours? Not wanting any discharges during flight, an all that. Bad for pressurization.
Disarming the Simons was no problem, they seemed so eager to give up their weapons JC had to try hard to keep from laughing. He was surprised at how successful he was at doing so. Then it came to the "package" as she handed over her bag.
"I am sorry but unless you consider a pair of stiletto heels and a fully stocked makeup kit dangerous - I'm rather unarmed."
Well JC had not survived as long as he had in the war and the Tongs, by not knowing a thing or two on how to kill without a gun. Stepping forward he politely asked for the bag even though Angela had started to ok it.
"No offense intended Angela, Miss Fairchild, but my job is security of those on the ship not just the ship itself and like Angela I have seen men killed with less." Holding out his hand for the bag he quickly went through it. He started by checking the heels if removable, type of material made of and the sharpness of the them. He then moved to the Lady's make-up kit checking the spray bottles and the rest for anything out of the ordinary. (Assuming finding nothing) Handing the bag back he smiled tipped his head and moved his attention to Seth as the bodyguard was refusing to give up his weapon.
"I cannot allow to be disarmed. I am entrusted with Miss Fairchild's protection. While I appreciate the assistance of the Captain and his crew, it is my honor to protect her. I will not let that fall to another man. I assure you that I will not discharge my weapon without dire need and that it is a pulse plasma gun so it can not harm your ship while on the lesser setting. I do hope this is understood and acceptable as without your consent, I will have to call my employer and tell him this deal and transport is not to continue."
Giving Seth a hard look JC got the feeling something unsaid was going on here. His inner voice was confirmed as Seth quickly continued.
"I am sorry. I thought you were informed. There have been threats on Miss Fairchild's life. Enemies of Mr. Steele and the Baron have sworn that they will abduct her before the wedding. That is why we are doing this late night pick up. Were you not informed of this? No?. Well that is the situation. We can continue and cease this arrangement now but I don't think your employer or mine would be happy with that. You are no doubt capable men, with some background with this kind of work - hence the need for a public relations man on a transport."
Looking at the bodyguard and the earnest way Seth made his case. JC decided to take a chance. After all if he had been Fairchild's bodyguard he would have been just as adamant.
"Normally no one other then crew carries a weapon on board her but seeing as I understand your position I'll make exception to it this one time. I ask you only to swear a *yanmianlin to myself and to the crew this ship that you will only use it as you say in defense of Miss Fairchild." (assuming he does)
Another nod and a proper bow to seal the deal, JC once more moved to stand watching the rest of the loading......
(Once underway he'll do what he normally does and keep an eye on things.)
*yanmianlin = Promise of Face = aka if Seth breaks this promise he will lose a lot of it and that will hurt him in the long term just as much as if he lets Fairchild die.

Tann, do you think Ash and Wolf should be on the ground or take a position up on the ship's body? There is a little room to hide behind the landing gear or ever in the gear's bay. If we go up we can see the approach but there is less cover.
They might remember Ash hiding up on the tail before. Just don't see a bunch of options.
Well honestly I have no clue where we should be at but putting us both in the same spot I think would be a mistake. One well placed Gren and we are both out instead of just one of us. Your the better shot with a sighted rifle so a higher vantage point is always good. If these guys are true pros no matter what, if they remember or don't, they will at least assume a sniper on top of the ship.
As to the best place for Wolf with the JC assault rifle I have no idea. Maybe behind a landing strut or within a well crafted bunker at the top of the Roc's loading ramp but that would mean leaving it open. Maybe hiding somewhere on the Roc's belly in some kind of easy to get out of harness? Best thing maybe is to just tell Wolf where to go, point it out on the map and I'll go. He's the mechanic not a combat trained soldier.

Though no thief the Sylvan Ranger was still not a half bad sneak and looking carefully found nothing within this pool or sauna area. Looking towards the curtains Crow made his way to the closet one, the West, pulled it back and attempted to see what was beyond
