Ok looks like we have 8 players so far this season. This season will be a little different as far as posting your picks as we will not be counting Thursday Night games in the picking.As for points only The Sunday games and the Sat games once they start in the later part of the season will count. Ok the last point you can put your picks in will be Sunday mornings at 11am, 1hr before game start. If your picks are not in by that time they are lost as far as point totals.

So season starts on September 8 so get those picks ready

As Fenris stared at the strange ship as they moved closer, it was clear it was dead and rotating awkwardly and drifting without direction. The mechanic could see there was some damage to the ship, the communication array was destroyed and there are some burn marks on the armor, Wuh de ma* a ship with armor plating!, that somehow looked like it could possibly absorb most sensor forms of detection but not enough to disable it. The ship had a front facing gun port for some big gun, but no other weapons. However when they were able to see the ship’s name the shock of it sent Fenris backward into Alaxis almost knocking her over the doctors quick reflexes saving her.

“Chi de JÄ«ng ma”** The big mechanic exclaimed as he pulled himself off of Alaxis. The Demeter, it can’t be, it’s not possible! Finally turning to Alaxis he apologizes to the lady, then quickly turns back to Wyatt.

“Wyatt, Cap’n, we have to board her, see if we can salvage the ship and her cargo”

Calmer then on first sighting the Demeter Fenris quickly came up with a possible boarding party.

“Captain I think we need to board her with you, myself, Pops or Sean for their tech knowledge, or both, and Alaxis in case there is anyone alive on her.”

Anyone alive? the damn ships been MIA since the war! However they still needed to get on board her and maybe just maybe find out what happened to her and her cargo. Wuh de ma!*** her cargo…….

(Ok did not add Ivy to the boarding party as I’m not sure Fenris knows that she is possibly connected to the ship.)

After rereading Alacrity's post here's my new boarders submission

Wyatt and Wolf as firepower. Also Wolf to see if can restart engine as Alacrity said they are cold, not destroyed.

Ivy as she is connected to whatever is calling her

Alaxis, as Ivy is sure "SHE" needs help so our Doc should go

Sean and Pops have the same tech lvl but Sean has Scientific Expertise which Pops does not. Seeing as this is an old ship, that one skill may be the differance in both finding out what happened to her and if she can be flown.

Plus Pops has a higher skill with guns then Sean or Alex does so he'd be better able to cover the Destiny and Alex should something go wrong.

That would be a boading party of 5 with 2 left on the ship

Again this is of course up to Wyatt.

Though I'm of course not the Captain, I'm looking at the boading party something like this.

Wyatt and Pops as firepower, also if she is still flyable Pops or Wyatt as the next best pilots in the crew could fly her.

And last Sean as he has tech knowledge and may be able to access her flight log. However as he and Pops have the same tech expertise it would be Wyatt's call if he goes or stays. 

I think taking Ivy with us to the ship is a better idea. She is the one feeling that there is someone on that ship that needs our help and through her we may be able to render aid.  Also if whatever/whomever is calling to Ivy means they may feel a connection to her so taking her along could show we are there to help not harm. 

As Fenris waited and listened he caught out of the corner of his eye the arrival of Alaxis the Destiny’s doctor. Other then the ammo incident and dinner sit downs with the rest of the crew, Dahng rahn* they really needed a better cook then Pops, he’d had very little time to get to know her. He had to admit she was a looker. Her greeting caught him totally off guard causing a thick red flush to cover his face.

"Good to see you, Bullet"

Without really thinking he replied the first words that came to his mind.

“You too Space Girl”

Lao tyen, boo** did I just say that  Fenris thought laughing to himself  Space Girl really, well she started it 

Red blush still clearly covering his face, all he could do for the moment was smile, try to play it off, and listen to the ongoing discussion on the mystery signal.

Driving past the mouth of 12th Alley, Casino finally came out of his inner thoughts and back into the here and now. He could see a series of huts and hovels start to appear in the dark confines leaving a winding path between them that just as quickly were swallowed up by dark shadows. Wiring and clotheslines, the difference between them lost in the dark, easily crisscrossed the upper levels like a primitive spider web. This web of wires and lines beginning at the ground level and reached as high up as the big solo could see. He could see how the cross ways linking buildings together could be just as deadly as a true poisonous spider web. And even above all this the underside of another level of roads blocked out a portion of the natural light still so determined to make it through.

To Casino this was just another cluster F… part of the city and not really telling the group anything on where this Rya Mendez was to be found

Turning to look at Charlie in the driver seat. Casino asked an age old question.

      Wyatt also believes in  Karma and Merit.

Though the ship’s engines were different, more expensive?, then the ones he had worked on during his days with Wyatt and their Firefly classed blockade runner he somehow still felt at home. Each day the big mechanic seemed to learn something new and interesting to gain a better bonding you could say between engine and man.

"We got ourselves an unknown some three thousand klicks ahead and in path. I'd appreciate everyone gettin' situation for whatever gorram shinanigans are 'bout t' go down."

Looking up at the loud speaker he replaced his tools and moved to his room to gather his two pistols and Browncoat. Knowing Wyatt, he would for sure the captain would for sure investigate. Gaining the cabin he found Pop already there along with Wyatt and the new pilot. Looking out the window he did not see any ship.

Instead of asking a redone-dent question he was sure had already been asked he just looked out the front window and waited for this contact to appear…….

In my background dealing with the war I wrote that Wyatt and I had fought in a number of battles. However I thought the two of us were ground pounder INF. Come to think on it if I was a INF how did I get my ship repair skills? Would it not be easier to say after we joined, Wyatt and I were both Firefly-class blockade runners on the same ship till I got caught and thrown into an Alliance jail? I find it hard to think he and I'd spilt up after going through so much and it being my idea to join in the first place. 

Will need some info correction so I can reset my background and put down like Brom did above what everyone knows which is pretty much only Pops and maybe a lil with the Doc.

It's a fun, no risk, game   Though Bannix needs to FALL!!!!!!

We regret to inform the Inn that Al Beyer aka TannTalas has died from a heart attack caused by the outragously insane, totally off the wall, never happen in 100 years, Da-shiong bao (tse shr la) doo tze! above.

His funeral will be held on the Inn the 5th Friday of this month and all donations are welcome. 

I was thinking of elimanating having to pick Thursday night games and just pick Sunday and then Sat games when they start them later in the year. However I'll leave that up to you the players if that would making picking games easier on your real time hours.
