Subject: Interesting topic indeed Kriea
Over the course of the last 7 1/2 years in Trilogy I would have to agree with Kriea above as to leanings towards certain character types by both men and women. Though there have been a few female fighter types in my game, case in point the three longest were Haila a female human Fighter/Mage who was originally played by her creator Jinxa and recently before her death by Cdnflirt. The second and third are presently Rayne a female Ranger/Cleric played by Brianna, the third an NPC Fighter/Innate Psionicist. Though there have been a few others I have played with like Lady Dark's Gladiator in Alacrity's fizzeled game Audalis Dreaming. I can say Trilogy has never had a solo female fighter played by a female player.
Maybe its like Ginafae said that female players are just smarter then to play a Hack & Slash only character

Well I guess I’m a little late to the party but as one of the few people who have met Alacrity (Roger) and his family in person I must say to do what he has done for the Inn while raising a daughter, an Autistic son, taking care of a beautiful wife, and dealing with the continual troubles of real life, all I can say to the posts above is simply one word............. DITTO!
Love ya Roger, you are a good friend, and I would miss that if it were to end.

Let me be another of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site we always need more 2nd Edition devotees .. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn. Also a good place to start here is “Pit F(r)iend's epic guide to getting started for newbies.”. Which itself was written by an Inn member to help new people just like you figure out how to navigate the halls of the Inn.
The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.
So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here.
And though this is the greeting I post to all newcomers do not feel that I am not glad to see a new person come to our home, far from it. Its just easier and quicker this way as we do get a lot of newcomers at times. So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed...........

But Trilogy is full as of last Friday. I looked for you online at DDO but you were not on or you had just logged off. I'm happy to say open slots in Trilogy at times go quickly.
Maybe next time we will get you in, but don't stop looking for a game as I know there are a few DM/GM's looking for players just keep checking the Recruitment threads. See ya on DDO

Subject: Though sad I Completely Understand
Seeing how I had a feeling you were coming to this conclusion after our recent trade of PM's and emails, though I thought perhaps you might decide to fully leave the Inn and am very glad you are not. I must agree what you are doing is clearly for the best. Real Life in no matter what form it sometimes takes must come first and your a stronger person for having the courage to do what must be done.
As a player in two out of the three games ending I will sorely miss the Castle and what might have been, but as a player also in Voyages of Rocinante I have to admit I would have missed that one the most had you ended it also. Roger no matter what lies ahead for all of us in the friendships in our lives, though we may trade barbs and hurtful words, and sometimes wish ourselves dead, know that if you need a helping hand or the words of a friend I and I’m sure the rest of the Staff will always be there for you and the fam.
