As Kane watched Xi get up to leave, his first thought was to have Mel stop him, but something just did not feel right. Quietly signing to Mel to stay seated he was rewarded for his caution as 4 men joined the disk dealer taking up positions as if to protect him.
The whole thing got more interesting as Kane continued to watch Xi stop to talk to a blonde haired woman talking to Phil and receive an attaché case from her.
“Crap” he muttered under his breathe as he watched Xi and the blonde leave the bar, he and Mel needed to quietly get the others together and find a safe place to consider options. It was a sure bet that the blonde was 'the Blonde' talked about and that case surely held the second disk.
With Mel asked to recover Phil he headed towards Angela, who seemed to have acquired a new friend in the time left alone by Phil and as he could see now, also by Grace.
Oh, ze zhen shi ge kwai le de jing jun Kane thought as he looked around the bar trying to find their mechanic. Seeing her he tried to catch her eye as he reached the table and Angela.............

But I have been sick all week since returning from Dallas and am at the present time Non-RPG orientated so there is a good chance unless I feel much better there will be no post by me this weekend.
Also as far as Vesper he has not posted in my game also the last 2 weeks and knowing he is in Iraq at this time I hope nothing has happened to him.
Again sorry for no post Al my brain just hurts too much more then normal rt now.

“Fine what is your game here? Of course you don’t have the disk! I know that! I’m not gorram stupid. That was blondie’s job! You want to pay for this useless disk, fine! I’ll sell the good one – but I get my disk as second half of payment.”
Kane quietly waited for the man to finish and then leaned forward a serious look on his face.
“Ya see that’s’ the problem Blondie’s missing, no word no contact, since I got the word the disk was secure and the meet here was on, then nothing. I’m afraid my partner has been waylaid perhaps or has decided to cut me and my new crew out.”
Kane thought quickly knowing that the time to finish this ‘deal’ was quickly running out. If he could not get the codes in the next few minutes he would have no choice but to let Mel take them quietly by force.

Ok new year, new NFL Football season, as I have each year for a few now I’m setting up a thread dedicated to such. The thread for the most part will be so we can all comment, or complain, on how well our team is doing during the course of the next 5 months. 
So if ya want to be a part of the discussions feel free to post your favorite team and I will list you and them as such in FANS OF groups and keep track of their record of Wins/Loses throughout the year. Lets see what Team/Group has the most wins by the end of the season.
One thing this is to be a friendly topic, yes ya can tease others and joke with them, but no crude or verbal attacks, no harresment type posts and no use of foul language.

So first game, Pittsburgh-Tennessee.... man it was a dog fight to be sure. I have to say as I had Pitt in my Yahoo pick’em game I was rooting for them but the Titans fought hard sending it into OT.
If the rest of the season is this good its gonna be a hell of a good time.
Ok enough of that as you all know I be a Cowboys fan so there!! GO COWBOYS!!!

Moving slowly to a back booth the timing could not have been better as a group of people were just leaving one and He, Mel and the stranger were able to sit down quickly.
The vid player handed to him, Kane began looking it over in a relaxed manner as if he already knew what was supposed to be on the disk. At first all the ex-rebel could see were blueprints, drawings and schematics of buildings and for a moment did not realize what he had in hand.
Wuh de tyen, ah!! the blueprints were not to some normal buildings but to high security prisons, military bases and a headquarters. They were old, very, very, old, the originals of buildings no longer used since the war, most having been taken over by corporations and business.
Run-tse duh FWO-tzoo This was a planets ransom in hand, except looking closer, Kane noticed now that he knew what he was looking at that all the override codes hardwired into these systems giving anyone access to the buildings was missing. Then the man touched a button and on the screen before him was the layout of a prison all of them knew only too well… Perdition.
“There you go,” the man said quietly, “The codes and accesses are all there, and I’ll give you the master key to get to them, as soon as you give me the FY disk like we agreed.”
His breathing relaxed, his heartbeat was WAY up, holding the vid player close to him, and having noticed Mel drawing her hog leg, Jeremiah Christian Kane, a cocky confident smile on his face, turned to the man before him.
“Well my friend you see there’s the problem in all this, I don’t have the disk anymore, but seeing as how this is already paid for what say we call it even.....”

The words were out of his mouth before he realized the possible problem with the man doing just that here at the bar, but to take him back to the table could be even worse if someone, Angela, Grace called him by his real name.
He was saved from making that choice for the moment by an arm over his shoulder, the feel of a very, very curvaceous female body and Mel’s voice, lowered into a sexy yet lazy and disinterested tone, beside him.
Wuh de ma.
"Is this why you came here to do business tonight baby, is this the guy with the disc. Red is oh so much better than blonde, don't you think?"
“Yeah baby it is” Turning first to her to give her a light kiss on the cheek then back to the Asian man he introduced Mel, hoping she would pick up on his hint of his mistaken ID by the man before them both.
“This here’s the new Mrs Crane, what say we get a separate table as the other‘s don‘t need to know all the details right now until I‘ve made sure everything is accounted for.”

Kane looked at his multiband and around the bar his trained eye picking up no apparent threats for the moment. Tzao gao he hated waiting and this felt just wrong in a lot of ways, Mel’s Johnson character should had been here by now.
Seeing his free drink was empty Kane got up and causally moved to the bar to order another.
Reaching the side of the bar facing the door, Kane got the attention of the bar tender and gave his order.
“Qing zai lai yi bei Ng-Ka-Pei?”
As he waited his attention was drawn to the main entrance to the bar as a man entered.
Asian by descent, short with brown hair and a scar on the left side of his face under the eye. He looked around briefly and then locked a stare directly at Kane. He moved towards him directly, but casually – certainly didn’t seem to be a danger of any sort. Watson was a medium set older man, Caucasian – so this wasn’t him. The former ship captain and resistance fighter was more then a little surprised when the short man stepped up to the bar beside him.
“I have the disk. Crane.” He says quietly but close enough to Kane’s ear so he can hear, “And you made the payment nice and prompt – I like that. Shows respect. I brought a viewer with me so you can check the merchandise. What’s with the new crew?” he asked jerking a thumb at the table where the others looked on, “I thought you were happy with the blonde?”
What the guay ??
“ Long story there, just wanted a better crew to handle the merchandise. You can never be too careful. So lets see the viewer”
(Holding out his left hand he casually keeps his right hand near his big .44 Python)

It was a hell of a fight and I know there is a rematch coming but I think the ref screwed up stopping the fight at the bell.
But he was there and I was not but it was a hellva 5 minutes. Both ladies showed how tough they were and Cyborg this time was better.

Gina Carano Or Chris Cyborg
I like Gina aka 'Crush' from American Gladators as I have seen all but two of her fights and she is the real deal. She's fast, hits hard, and can take a punch and even though Cyborg is 3 years younger and strong I think she lacks speed so I think Gina takes the match and goes to 8-0.

Six months, six long months since they’d gotten out of that crap for Shee-niou prison and all they had to show for it was a possible job. Not a confirmed job only a possible job if this Gaijin Watson ever showed up, he only hoped Melanie had her info right.
As the five of them sat at the table within the Ace in the Hole gambling house and saloon Kane could not help but watch each of his four companions as they waited.
First to his immediate right there was “Brutal”, not his real name of course, but because of his violent vicious way of fighting and his crude habit of behavior had been pinned to him long before the five of them had united for survival. Say what you wanted about the shiong-mung duh kwong-run there was no one, other then the three others with him, Kane trusted more or wanted covering his back.
Next up across from him was Melanie, clearly highly intelligent, she was no jien hwo. On a par with Kane himself in experience, she had a habit of not flaunting it, which in turn helped the both of them to work together, as they in one way or another were the unspoken co’ leaders of this small group of survivors. A good friend if ever Kane had need of one as they all did now.
To his far right seated next to Brutal was Grace an zhen de shi tian chai when it came to machines. Just not more then five minutes earlier she had fixed the old Wurlitzer Juke Box in the corner earning them a round of free drinks. Come time they could acquire a ship of their own, Grace’s skills would be most welcome.
And then Kane set his eyes upon the most cared for member by them all, the group’s
xiao mei mei. If not for her each of the five seated at this table could very well have never met and even now be dead and buried at the Larkhill Reclamation Colony where they all had been prisoners for one reason or another. She who had been the indirect cause of them banding together, and without saying each of the four seated with her would give their lives to protect her.
In some ways more spiritual then physical she was the true leader of the group. But his thoughts once again turned back to this supposed meet and the lack of this Watson character he turned to gaze at Melanie.
“So Mel just how much do you know of this Watson character and his need of labourers?”

I could possibly be talked into running the Federated Commonwealth perhaps if the game is in that era. If not perhaps as Hanse Davion then so my first question of course is what is the time frame your looking at or playing at present.
Just a little info on my BT exp....
I have played both the board game and the RPG game in the course of my life and in fact still play the board game at least once a year at our yearly gaming con.
I own every paperback novel, all the sourcebooks, eithier in print or on computer disk, and a few senerio packs dealing with the various clans like Wolf and Jade Falcon and Merc units like Wolf's Dragoons and the Kell Hounds.
I have even at one time played a BT game by mail which was alot of fun so I have alot of knownledge of the games.
So I await an answer to my first of possibly many questions.
