Crow said nothing in return only smiling at the mage when he spoke of dying. The Ranger did not need to say anything for clearly with the mage’s long winded explanation Crow had made his point and won this petty war of words.
However for now until Alôndas learned to better ‘express’ himself he was not worth Crow’s respect or friendship. Good or bad, Crow was what he was, like him, hate him, the Ranger would beg no one for friendship..........

“Worry about yourself, Maithias!” The mage responded to Crows ask for caution “this is obviously a wine cellar and I don't think every bottle in this room is trapped. If you see me opening a door or chest without caution then you may worry, but do not speak to me again in such a manner. You are not leader here and until you are do not presume to give me orders.”
Crow could only laugh at the mage's words as it was clear that the mage had already did what he said Crow should be concerned about.
“Mage, you say worry only of myself unless you open door or chest". (Another laugh) “Then what do you call going through the portal that led us here but a door. A door not all of us wanted to enter in the first place. However disregarding any careful thought on your part, you went through it first nonetheless. I’d say I have right to worry, Mage.
The last said in a clearly disdainful tone. Crow would take the Mage’s advice and worry only of himself and those of this group that could be counted on to watch his back. Clearly his Syl companion was not one of them so Crow would not grant him the same in return. Come what may unless the mage curbed his arrogance, Crow would afford him no respect or consideration at this time.
Moving away from the mage to put distance between them, he kept his eyes peeled for danger............

Subject: A Day for Giving Thanks
Roughly 3 years ago the Tann’Talas that first came to the Inn in 2004 after surviving a brain tumor no longer existed. Somewhere in the time frame of 2008 to 2011 he lost his way and became someone else. I became deeply depressed. Chronically angry at the world and the people in it. Tried killing myself twice with thankfully no luck. Lost two very close friends here at the Inn, YeOlde and Dragon Mistress and one in real life my childhood best friend Ronnie Clark all three dying within a year and a half of each other. My other friends and fellow staff members of the Inn put distance between me and themselves as to not be caught in the angry chaos that my life had become. Had no contact with my son or that side of the family. Had no love in my life, other then my Mother, my best friend Marc and the false intimacy with the various dancers at the clubs I worked. I became disabled for life in 2011 and had no income other the $50 dollars a month that I got from my Mother for over 1 year. For almost 6 month to various degrees. I could not take care of myself and had to relay on others to do so and I became even more angry and frustrated that I could do nothing about it. That after 5 years of recovering from my brain tumor I was right back where I started once more. I did not have very many friends left by this time in real life and at the Inn.
I was deeply depressed, lonely, frustrated, disabled, in psychic counseling due to my suicidal thoughts and just plain angry. What did I give thanks for during those years…nothing….at one point not even the Inn, yet somehow deep inside I never lost my love for it.
Well now my life is very much better I know where I am at and what my future holds. Though I’ll always be disabled and never work again I have enough movement in my right arm and full use of my left arm to take care of myself. I now receive a monthly check for life from the United States Government to cover my living expenses and better yet full Medicare to help with my weight and overall health. The Tann’Talas that originally came to the Inn will never return, however a newer, more forgiving, more grown-up version has replaced him. One who has walked the fires of hell. Fought many a demon and dragon and…. Oh Ok enough of that, getting carried away.
So on this Thanksgiving Day, a day for giving thanks, I want to give thanks for the following.
First my Mother. Without her strength, her love and her willingness to put up and stand up to an angry 5’11 360+ pound man by birth her son compared to her 4’9 174 pd frame it is very likely my two suicide attempts may very well have succeeded. Her willingness to bath me, clean me after using the toilet, and feed me at times by hand during the first 4 months because my shoulders were still too damaged to raise them higher then my chest is a testament to her faith in me. Thank you Mom no matter what I will always love you.
Second my very best friend Marc, a best friend like no other before and Mom’s and I’s roommate at a time when a person of his caliber was desperately needed. A former Naval seaman and retired veteran he took over my care in times Mom could not be home to do so, including and not limited to cleaning my ass after going to the bathroom and being the only one willing to giving me medicine by needle into my stomach with no hesitation at all. Say what you will, friends like him are in short supply.
Third the Inn and the people who are found here and among them those I am closest too. Though I put them and the Inn at that time through so much drama, it and they were still here and I was still welcome. Even though a few of those times I should have been banned for life. If not for this tiny spark of this place keeping me going even when I did not realize it or thought I did not want it. I think I would have lost my way forever and in doing so lost the true me. Thank you today Innmates both new and old for making this place throughout the past 10 years a second home.
Finally, but in no way least, the Red Dragon Inn’s Webmaster aka t-catt11 aka Olan. Say what you will good or bad but if not for him the Inn would not exist today. What he has had to do with crashes, rebuilding it more then once, paying for it, and so forth on top of his growing clan of a family, a lesser man would have said F-this a long time ago and just let it fade away. The hard choices he has had to make for the best interests of the Inn, including helping me make a very, very hard but right choice, is nothing less then awesomely epic. If not for his faith and belief in his creation I would not be able to post this here today. When we had the total crash back somewhere in 05-07, can’t remember exactly when, when the talk was that the Inn was dead and gone, Olan would never rebuild it, we need to create a new one, Olan does not care about it anymore, what did Olan do. Well he came and proved everyone wrong, rebuilding the Inn bigger and better. Way to go Boss!
So on this Thanksgiving Day I give thanks to my Mother, Marc, my former Staff-mates, Innmates and Olan for keeping the faith and belief in both the Inn and Me.
So as this is a thread for giving thanks I hope more of you will do so today and the other days leading up to Christmas so that we Innmates can hear what you also are thankful for.

“Alôndas stop! Think about your actions fully, anything in this room could be trapped! Honestly in this whole place every little thing could mean doom for us. We need to allow Wembley to investigate this room first.”
He hoped his words would make sense to the Sylvari Mage.

Thanks to Ody explaining the joke in a PM I get it now. Sorry if I seemed offended I really was not I just did not put the play on words together with the lap Band - Lap Dancing and the Gas Station with the GAStrectomy.
And to explain to Sal both are weight loss surgeries that I need as by my BMI I am considered Morbidly Obese. I have a meeting with a surgeon next Monday morning to discuss which of the two would be best for me.

As Crow handed the staff back to Gamard with a quiet thank you, he watched as his fellow Syl, the mage Alôndas took it upon himself after briefly asking the party's permission to choose the parties next actions. Though he had asked and briefly waited no one, including to his dismay Crow himself, had spoken up to stop him from passing quickly through it. Blaming himself for not arguing against going through this portal instead of one of the others or at least doing so with more preparation for what possibly lay on its other side. He watched as one by one the rest of the party followed the mage through the portal and Crow could only shake his head. Finally it was only him and Gamard left on this side of it, turning to the Khord Cleric he addressed him.
“Cleric, if not for the folly of ourselves and others, would this world be a much safer place?” Turning back to the portal as he finished the question. Crow moved forward without waiting for the answer and through it. In doing so leaving the Khord Cleric as the last one of the party left behind.....

JC did not like Badger, the Mob boss reminded him too much of the Master, but he had to admit there was a lot of money to make possibly if this first run went well. However he did not like the idea of Angela having dinner with him with her spilt second changes that could be dangerous not so much for Angela but instead Badger Yet he said nothing knowing from past instances that she could handle herself quite deadly and that was where JC‘s worry’s lay.
However as he looked over the Simons the real question for the Gunfighter was just how good or bad those two were. Too good and that could be a big problem with them thinking themselves superior and result in over confidence. Not good enough and they could turn out to be not sure of themselves, hesitate at the wrong time and get them all killed. Walking over to them he offered his hand attempting to seem friendly.
“JC Kane, nice to be traveling with ya’s. I see you two carry yourselves quite professional, maybe before we start traveling the Black tonight we can do some target shooting and maybe you guys can teach me a few things. Never know what can come in handy in the Black right”
What was that old saying oh yeah, Keep your friends close keep your enemies closer. Get them on a range and see just how good they were.
(OOC: OK from this point just follow till we return to Destiny unless any rp involving JC comes up hopefully I can get them on a range. If so once on the range no matter if better or worse then me I will not shoot my best on purpose to let them think they are better. I will also try best I can to hide the arm.)

The soft rounds as they will not penetrate the hull. Soft rounds or practice rounds are just hard rubber that have impact power but not penetration. They are what is primarily used by Air Marshalls on commercial flights.
So having a range where we only use those rounds is possible. However your the captain so call is yours.

Subject: Handgun Range
Would not take that much space to be honest JC could have easily set up a one table range in say the Aft Cargo bay. I can't see not having one as good as he is, too not want to practice while during the long trips in the Black. Even if he is only using soft practice rounds.
In my post I had planned to invite the Simons to shoot with me at the ships range so JC can get a idea of just how good or bad they are.

Subject: Maybe a stupid question
I was going through the character thread looking over the characters and the new crew member. Nice new Jon pic by the way, and I noticed that Jon and Stephanie's ages are way different, he being 26 and she 60. Is that a misprint so to speak?
I ask this as I'm a latecomer to the game and am not sure of the dynamics of how the relationship began.

Well we have two ties this week. For most games guessed right Grugg and I are tied at 9. For leader in total points to date we now have a 3 way tie between Olan, Hammer and myself at 85 with Grugg a close 4th with 84 and Ody in the back as norm with 81
Only 5 weeks left till the top 3 go to the playoffs Whose it gonna be.
