Subject: Val's got a point
As far as Tobin I doubt Malius got a copy of the note as Tobin had never met him other then the meeting. As such Tobin did not know him well enough to say good bye to Malius.
As far as the convo between myself and Vesper he will have to start it up as Malius has no idea that Alyssia has a problem with his words.
Lets get one thing straight, the way for the moment I am playing Malius is as a stuck up I am better then you Elf as most Elves are. Once he gets to know the party, fights beside them and travels with them he will slowly change and who knows may even become friends with Draven (of course thats if Val wants to be friends  )
So please do not take anything the character says or does as a personal attack on anyone. Its just the way I perceive him as for all intents he is the outsider among this group.

A Yo Yo of Fate as read from the Encyclopedia Magica Volume 4...
This Yo-Yo looks like any normal yo-yo of bright red in color though its string glows a faint yellow.
However the Yo-Yo of fate when carried adds a +1 to all of a person’s saving throws and when desired may altar fate for that day. A Particular 1d20 roll made for a combat or saving throw purpose is chosen and altered (but only before the roll is made). For every time the roll is changed the Yo-Yo’s string shortens by 1 inch for every +1 added to that roll.
Note the Yo-Yo of Fate does not guarantee that a die roll will succeed it merely adds to the chance involved. The Yo-Yo’s come with various lengths of string when found, and once the last inch of string is used the Yo-Yo disappears.
So since no one answered I guess the next question once again lays upon my shoulders ~sigh~ to carry such a burden may my shoulders and back be strong.

As Croaker heard Frankie’s non-committal reply, he had finally had enough. Realizing calling the Media/once friend had been a mistake he spoke.
“Ok Frankie you want a story I can get you a story but only after its all said and done. But if thats not good enough for you so be it. Unless there's anything else you want to say to me I guess this is goodbye and oh one more thing I will be sure to give Peacekeeper your hello.”
As Croaker closed the flip on his cell phone he noticed Coyote looking him over.
"You got more help coming, si?! That'll be good. I think them hawkeyes” The ganger indicating the Wild Thing lookouts on the roof “Are starting to get hungry, get me? I'm surprised you and me both don't have a bullet through the skull yet. I don't know what they are waiting for. What's our next step, yo? This place got a back door?"
With Coyote’s thought that the 3 of them had been seen but for some reason not attacked Croaker knew crossing the street here was death waiting.
Somehow in all the sneaking around the directions had turned on him and they were not where he thought they needed to be, but it was too late now to do anything other then play the hand they had been dealt.
“Ok we gotta move east then south and try to cross the street somewhere down there out of sight of them sentries but we need to get 1 of us on this roof as high guard. Lets try to find a fire escape for this building and get someone lifted up there to act as a sniper, Coyote as you’ve got the best eyes it seems that would be your job can you do that.”
Awaiting Coyoto’s answer Croaker got ready to make a second call....

Subject: Lets go, here we go!!
Maximas was silent as he and Char awaited the arrival of the Imperials with Kilgrim and Adrian behind them. He acknowledged Char’s nod of his head and grim look and though it was not said, each knew the other would cover the others back.
As it was in the arena so it was here, the fear of combat and death very real and Maximas could feel it starting to rise. But as so many times and fights before the big ex-Gladiator did take a deep silent breath and forced the fear back for the moment into the box. He had always believed as some fighters had told him that the fear let you know you were yet a man with feelings and as such yet alive.
The time to fear they had said was once the fight was over and the blood was washed away, then and only then was fear a good thing. With that to give him strength Maximas awaited Char to make the first move.....

Maximas listened as the Red intoned about what could have possibly been the cause of Arien's attacking the party.
Not one of magic he was very uncomfortable around it and more so with the fact that they had a former Imperial in the party with knowledge of it. In the end though he did have to agree if Arien was a danger to them then it was best he be placed outside.
“If that is what is decided I will carry him outside as I can carry him easily myself and thus temporally we will only have the loss of two rather then three.”
Awaiting the parties choice Maximas remained still by the door.....

The big Fighter knew that it was only a matter of minutes before combat would ensue and trying to hold this small room was folly. But with his sword to hand and a fake grin on his face he would not leave anyone to fend for themselves....

Grim spoke up too, adding in his thoughts on the whole thing.
“I would not ask approval. Whether the elves approve or not, this quest must go forward. However, an alliance for the common good might be useful.”
“Yes. Alright, I will contact the elves. But I will not tell the goal of our mission. I will not share your destination, and neither will any of you, should you encounter any of them. I’ll let them think you are escorting my merchandise to a small human settlement on the other side of their kingdom. We must not tell them the real reason, for they will either try to stop you, or want a share, in return for safe passage. I trust that none of you will open up to them. They are not as honorable as you would perceive them to be.”
With that the dwarf did motion to all of the food and beverage on the table, and spoke with a smile.
“You have hardly eaten anything. Please, you must not have had a decent meal in some time.”
Even though Malius was pleased that the dwarf had followed his advice, his talk of them as not being honorable did not sit well with him.
Did not Guland know he spoke of the very elves that Malius grew up with, lived with and had served with. Did not the dwarf realize that he spoke as such before an ELF?? Mayhap the dwarf being a dwarf was just simply being a dwarf.
With food in front of him and a hungry belly Malius chose not to pursue the matter and instead turned to the feast before him. Clear it was to the elf that, with a possible conflict already in the party, he would be the only one safe in the forests of Alloryen.

1st them Boots of Striding and Sprigg’in, as to no offense to any of de, but I will not be gett’n on yon monsters backs again.”
Taking a quick breath for even the thought of returning to a horses back for another day of riding had sent a chill up the dwarf’s spine.
“The 2nd thing would be’in them Gloves of Dexterity as Logan has offered them up, and I be thank’n you my friend for doing so, and last if’n it still be available at the end of everyone’s choices that Heavy Repeating Crossbow as I be hav’n no weapon of range.
As for the rest let us bee seeing what’s left then we can choose from them, but I bee think’in that them coins be spread evenly amongst all.”
With his choices made and his advice given Highnar once again sat silently and watched as the others did choose....

You know I’ve got a duty to the People to report on that, Choomba. As far as the two edgerunners; well, I’m not about to run this gauntlet without some protection. I’m bold, not stupid. Besides, what would you want with me at that address? Peacekeeper probably put you up to this in order to slice ‘n dice me. She’s pretty an’ all, but I’m not into that, savvy? I’m no good to you in a firefight, and you know it, so what’s the also?”
”No need to worry about Peacekeeper Frankie she is not aware of this call, look if you can get a hold of one or two extra runners, we could use the firepower. Do this for me, Frankie, and you’ll get your story, I will get the girl, and then we will go our separate ways without having to look over our shoulder wondering which one of us kills the other first. So, we got a deal?”
“I got another deal for you, Croaker. Whatever you’re up to, you’ve already let on that you need more guns. I’ve got some help with me now some real good help. You lay your cards on the table and I’ll see if it really is worth me providing the cavalry. As far as our friendship’s concerned; well, you knew me, and knew what I do before you ever called me for help initially. So, if you want to go ahead and hold a grudge, that’s your business. I’m just being me, and I got no hard feelings so far. That’s not to say if you threaten me again that won’t change, but right now, we’re still solid as far as I’m concerned. I helped you in a bind twice today already and the only thing I get for it is some big Zero threatening to put me on ice. Makes a guy want to turn his back on a friend, ya know?
So, the ball is in your court now. You decide how it’s going to go down. You can either tell me what kinda mess you’re in and see if I can help you a third time, or we can continue to do things on our own and see who comes out on top.”
Croaker was silent for the moment after Frankie’s rejection of a possible meet. His plan to kill two birds with 1 stone had not worked. As much as he hated to admit it he was at a loss of what to do next. It was clear that they needed some type of distraction to clear or at least get the rooftop Wild Things looking somewhere else. But at the moment Croaker was at a loss as to how, maybe he could still use Frankie.
“Ok Frankie, ever hear of a place called the Hole. Well that’s where those Runners you got and I are at right now. We are on a side street across from it and need to get across said street, but its got guards on the roof covering all access. If we try to cross we get fragged and that’s no good for anyone. So there’s the deal how long will it take you to get here?”
Croaker at this point could only hope Frankie and “his” runner were close enough to help, but knowing the news hound as he did Frankie would find a way.
Looking once again at the Hole as he awaited an answer he could not help but worry on how Spiff, Firewind and the girl he loved more then his own life were doing inside the hole....
