As the Goblins easily burned away Soledad's webbing, it was clear they were not coming out. “Well shit” Silver spoke to no one specifically. Turning to Hornet with a smile she moved to the entrance and looking at him, then the rest of the party one more time

With Hornet at her side and just a little behind her, she entered the cave in full stealth mode, rapier and scimitar at the ready.

“So,” the black man leans forward but pauses as their food is brought in and distributed. Once the waitress has left them alone again, he continues, “To sum things up; The security team policing Temecula Heights—a corpo compound owned by Daltdom Corporation (which is a subsidiary of Petrochem)—is Falcone Security and at least some segment of them are running their own little torture chamber operation. Then, to top it off, this Jeanette who saved Vegas’s life was performing corporate espionage—I can only assume against ArmorTech, which doesn’t make sense since she’s a chemist, but we’ll get into that later—and now you have a hand to play in that card game. Then, before we even dive into the Temecula Heights story, you’ve got to stop a small group of hackers from their cyber attacks on a nearby CEE-metal enclave. Did I miss anything?”

As Patriot spelled it out, Casino looked around to the others and though reading each of them exactly was not easy he saw no one in disagreement. .

“Yep that pretty much spells it out and Charlie feels we need your help, so here we are”

“The hook is,” replied Vegas to the query posed by Patriot, “is that I was held captive and tortured … before I was able to escape. Then while on the lam inside Temecula Heights, I had the good fortune of being aided by one of the residents … Jeannette was her name She was murdered by some heavy muscle,” continues the Dapper Solo, “but she was too stubborn to divulge her secret … which cost her … her life … but I was able to discover the secret she was hiding … before making my escape … so here we are … plotting vengeance and offering you a slice of the pie … for your expertise in publicly exposing the dark secrets housed inside Temecula Heights … We have another gig to pick up some quick creds, which as far as I am concerned will serve as a tune-up … before dealing some payback to some dark souls … so are you and your followers in … or out … on publicizing their dark secrets?”

Vegas tailed off his explanation as he took another bite from his enchilada plate, followed by a long drink of water. Just then the plates ordered by Echo arrived and he realized from the smell of the food now directly in front of him, how hungry he actually was. A fork to one hand and he dived into the food watching as Echo did the same. A smell knee to knee contact with the nomad, a smile and a mouthed thank you, Casino owed Echo one. Facing back to the table the big Solo listened as Charlie, Vegas and the rest of the party hashed out more details on the upcoming operation.

Won't be ready tonight but I'll have it up by tomorrow night.

Hearing the plan of attack and feeling it appropiate the female Half-Elf moved quickly to join Hornet, her shortbow nocked and ready to fire at the first enemy. Anything getting threw the webs thrown across the doorway she would be ready for. With her fancy footwork and her sneak attack damage, whatever came out would find themselves in a world of hurt.....

I'm in the same boat as Keeper, not much to post on as Casino has dropped to being group muscle. With Vegas's return I'm following his and Espatier's lead as group spokesmen.

With the party rested and refreshed they headed out once more. The information from the Otter, Boris, had been a help. Though it took much walking they quickly made it to the entrance to the goblin lair.

“Perhaps we should scout a bit before we walk up to the door.” Suggested Hornet “I suggest Silver and I sneak up there to have a look and listen. Then we come back and all make a plan for entry. Would you be willing to accompany me Silver?”

“Yes let us see what these goblins have waiting for us.”

Turning back to the rest of the group Hornet spoke a few more words to them then, he and Silver were in stealth mode and headed towards the entrance. As Hornet approached first Silver remained quiet as she let the full Elf Rogue take the lead, yet she stood ready if needed…..

As Casino took a seat at the table his gaze shifted to the one called Patriot. Average-sized black man with dreaded TechHair® descending past his shoulders, strands of glowing red woven through the braids. Thin mustache, small goatee, charismatic and good-looking face if he was into guys. A slight jealous glance to Echo to gauge her reaction, but she seemed to be ingrained in her own thoughts. Perhaps something to do with her most recent phone call? Then back to a last look the large solo noticing a pair of tat’s upon Patriots arms. One emblazoned on his right forearm, a simple rendition of Lady Justice, the second, a light tattoo displayed on his left bicep and is a Kanji. Interesting Casino thought to himself wishing his newly installed Japinese language chip also helped him read.

Turning to the waitress who is still calmly hovering nearby, Patriot says, “I’ll take an enchilada plate with red sauce, smothered, refried beans, black beans, and some rice, por favor, Margarite. Oh, and uno cerveza, por favor.”

She smiles and taps in the order on her device, “Sure thing, Pat. And for the rest of you?”

“Just a glass of water thanks” Casino replied as he waited for this show, whatever it was, to get on track. With Vegas’s return the weight of leadership, or as Charlie called it, co-leadership, was off the large solo’s neck and that was just the way he liked it. In all the time the two had worked together Casino had be perfectly happy to let the Sinatra look-alike take the lead and now was no different. For the moment Casino would stay quiet yet watchful and let things play out..............

“Sounds good Hornet, should we set not set a watch pattern”? Silver asked of the other Rogue. Finding a place easily accessible she relaxed for the first time since the fight and could not help wonder how Steel was doing back at town.

I'll pitch in 1000 for the shell of the truck to make it into a transport big enough for all of us, though I do think we need a second vehicle also.

2) Now that I have only 4 out of the 5 Chips I thought were paid for, should not my Giri spent be 116 and not 125, thus leaving me with 34?

3) Did you add the handgun Chip's +3 bonus to my WA on my character sheet as it's still only +5. Should it now also be +8 like my SMG?

“Hey can we talk?” Echo approaches Casino.

“Sure what’s up?” The pain in his arm is forgotten as paranoia sets in. Rising to his feet, the big solo swallows his concern over what the nomad beauty could possibly want to talk about—Is she leaving? Is she puttin' the stop on us?—as Echo heads out the apartment's front door into the hallway and then makes her way outside to stand on a landing in the bustling wind away from the rest of the group. Casino waits for what Echo has to say.

“I can’t stay here," Elizabeth begins strongly, "it’s too cramped. I need someplace away from the crowd in there.”

Oh, my god! She is leaving. Damn, damn! “Okay," Keith attempts to present a stoic front but fails as his eyes widen and uncontrolled emotion paints his rugged face, "so you're leaving then?”

Seeing the big solo’s eyes fly open in pain, Echo knows right away Casino has taken her desire to find a separate living area for the two of them wrong. Then again, thinking quickly back, in her nervousness she had not been very clear. “No, no I meant for you and me, and I was thinking here in the enclave if they have open housing and will let a Rolling State stay in an Edgerunner roost.” She tries to make the last bit humorous to calm the big guy down.

Looking around the landing and the bustle of the enclave, the big solo is unsure of their success, though relieved that she's not leaving and more than a little caught up in the moment. “I’m not sure, what do you mean; a monthly thing? Might be easier to rent a smaller place weekly, but I’ll talk to Charlie about a place for us, okay?”

Smiling up at the big solo the nomad says nothing more and without any pause grabs his head, pulling him down to her mouth and kissing him.

With the question of if they are to move forward with this almost overnight relationship now agreed upon, the two return to Charlie's apartment where the sight of the resting Vegas reminds Keith of his professional partnership and the way they've been living their lives practically joined at the hip. Echo's desire for the two of them—just Casino and Echo—living apart from the group may just throw a wrench in the way the two solos have been living.

“Echo,” Blossom says as though she just found a secret decoder ring in a box of cereal, “do you think your tribe has a madpack they’ll loan or sell us?”

"Let me see what I can do,” Moving into the back of the apartment, Echo makes a call. The image displayed on her agent is that of a scruffy, blonde man with a narrow face. Luke... perhaps the last friend she has amongst the El Lay. She has no idea where the tribe is right now or what they're doing. She can only hope that he answers. Instead, a message appears on her screen, the call ends. I'll call you back. Can't talk - Luke.

Casino plays through the request with the fixer, the complications of abandoning his long-time partner in favor of living with Echo, whom he's only known for less than a week, causing him no end of nervousness. “Charlie, can you get me a small place within the enclave, something between a Red Door Inn cubicle and a month-long lease apartment, priority on the apartment, by the end of the day?“ He really should have a discussion about their plans with Vegas before he goes off forgetting the man exists.

With Charlie’s return from whatever is keeping him engaged all morning and Vegas’s offer of 500 credits to go towards grenades, Casino takes advantage of the wares the fixer has access to.

“OK, Charlie I’ll grab two of those illumination grenades, two WP grenades, two HEP grenades, two HEDP grenades, two flash bangs,” The solo allows for a slight pause as he mentally considers the catalog. “Next, let me get three each of those beanbag’s and splatshells, and lastly an EMP.”

Charlie explains that they'll need to go collect the boom booms later that evening but he'll arrange the meet. After all of the shopping is taken care of, Casino and Echo split to pick up the remaining two skill chips that he ordered; working the arrangements through Cred Stick once again. These haven't been paid for yet so the solo calls in some of his favors (OOC: Giri) to cover the bill. The SMG REF chip level 3 and Ambidexarity REF chip are quickly inserted as soon as he has his hands on them, taking up all four of his open slots.

Happy as all hell, the big solo and Echo add a quick supply run of their own within the enclave searching for a waist-rigged grenade pouch harness that will hold eight total grenades, four on each side. The search is long and the results aren't as nova as he would have liked. He's able to get four double-pack grenade pouches that slide onto a belt for 15c apiece totaling 60c. With the day's outings resolved, the evening consists of more relaxed time with Echo and the rest of the team in Charlie's apartment. However it was during this time and Vegas’s next words that brought Casino to the realization he had said nothing to him about Echo and he looking for a crash pad and that his agreement was needed as to their next job.

“Speaking of friends, it would be nice to get a place with my partner Casino, that we could call home, when we are between jobs, as long as we don’t get killed in the process. Therefore, I cast my vote, for what it is worth, to make a run with Ghlahn’s gig, to pick up some quick cash, plus work out the kinks of our working together as a team, before we devote our attention to solving the mystery that the madpack reader can unlock, so I can avenge Jeannette’s death, with the help of anyone who wants to go and help me to balance the scales in her memory!”

A brief look to Echo and a nod of her head and Casino gave his and the nomad’s vote.

“Yeah count us into Ghlahn’s gig, sounds like a good way to make some change while we work on this Jennette’s death and the Yakuza gig”

Catching Vegas’s eye he motions for his partner to join him outside the apartment for the unbelievable first time alone just the two of them since getting him out of his captivity. As Vegas was clear and the apartment door closed Casino gave the Frank Sinatra a good hug.

“Glad your still alive brother, was on edge thinking you were dead then finding out you were being held was even worse. Sorry it’s taken me this long to get my head out of my ass and truly welcome you home.”

Letting go he stood back.

Please tell me you’ll crash, even if its on a couch. If so I promise to find you damn good couch. What do you say?”

The options for the afternoon are wide open. Patriot is supposed to meet up with everyone at a dive called the Black Piranha around six that evening so everyone can catch a decent bite to eat and get to know him. Aside from that appointment, there’s nothing on the docket. Looking around Charlie’s apartment feeling much better then he had for days Casino is still curious about this new Patriot person.

“So," he asks, "anyone got any more info on this Patriot guy?”…………………..

I agree with Keeper, Vegas has a Leadership perk where Charlie and I do not, so yeah Vegas is best to lead us once more.

As Thaoran finished cutting the otter, his name Beuren from the tree she nodded to him and smiled. However before she could speak the rest of the party were questioning the creature.

Moving away the Half-Elf Rogue quickly made her way among the dead bugbears, both in making sure all were dead and all were searched for anything useful to the rest of the party.

Ok so I'll look at the prices already listed and talk with Mischief as what can be found in the enclave.The reason I ask here is to stay close to Charlie as he is central to finding us work.

As for the chips I thought they had all been already found but the only one I was able to pick up before my Yakuza meet was the language chip +3. Then on returning from retrieving Vegas I was able to pick the Handgun chip +3 but still had to wait on the other 3 +3 chips. My question and confusion here is if the Language and Handgun Chips are the only chips I have why do I only have 25 Giri left? Before I started going for the 5 chips I had only spent 80 of 150 Giri however now it says I have spent 125 of a 150 which is exactly 45 Giri. The exact cost of all 5 chips at 9 Giri a chip for +3. Should I not be at 98 chips used out of a 150 instead of 125?. What did I forget during my long break.

From me will be up hopefully after my Discord/Roll20 game tonight. Unless of course we all die as Demogorgon is on the loose and my party is directly in his path. I think this may be a good time to use my ability of Cunning Action to Disengage and run like hell.

HOUSING: Are the above prices the same within the Enclave? How much does Charlie pay for his apt? Are there any openings within the Enclave.

GRENADES: I do want some of the grenades but housing is 1st priority so I need to resolve that issue before I can think about buying some of the grenades.

Has an underslung M-203 40mm grenade launcher. Do you have one in your Cybernetics? If not, then yeah there's a few grenades I'd like to have. Question is, did you already pay for these?
