My point then is this as caravan guards we were under the command of the Cavarn master and though we have fought together it was under his leadership. This will be the first time we will be working together without that leadership so we need to pick a party leader who has final say in case of a stalemate on what the party should do correct?

As Romo waved everyone down to whatever cover they could find and moved forward to check on Brutal, he was surprised to see the Captain instead moving forward into everyone’s line of fire. Romo at first thought it would serve the Captain right to get killed for his own stupidity, but then realized that would leave him in command with no one but him to be blamed if they failed, but somehow survived the mission. Better the Captain get the blame or the glory and the medals as Romo wanted none of that.
As he was about to yell to the Captain to get his ass down, the door to their front slammed open and there are four German soldiers, two on their knees with rifles and two standing with machine guns in hand. Behind them were two more with pistols in hand shouting in German. It was a bad situation, made even worse with the Captain now blocking line of sight in the short corridor with both sides fully armed.
Then pistol sounding gunfire erupted from the room before them and behind the four German’s in the doorway and in seconds one of the machine gun soldiers went down as he was hit. With heads turning, voices’ screaming orders and the chaos of what was happening in the room before them, Corbin was the first to get a shot off. Somehow even with the Captain in his LOS the sniper rifle roared and the head of the lead German was flung back as the bullet ripped through his skull. With the Germans pausing in the confusion, with the gun fire behind them and now a head shot from their front, the rest of the five survivors finally opened fire. The krauts caught in a cross fire were cut down quickly.
The gun fire ceased and as silence returned to the passageway a voice from the room called out in English,
“Go Yankees”.
Romo hearing their call sign of recognition, also knew at once the voice behind the call, Staff Sergeant Max Keller, another of the senior NCOs’ on the mission and a very good friend since their days together in the 82nd Airborne before and during the France invasion. He was the only other trooper that the Master Sergeant had personally known assigned to the mission.
“Hell no Dodgers Rule Max!” he yelled back as he got to his feet, replaced the .45 back into it’s holster, then bent to give Brutal a hand up the rung ladder. Another good NCO, which Max was, was worth more then 4 Captain Edintore’s combined any day of the week.............

Wolf had his foot on the hover mules gas pedal ramming it to the floor as if to squeeze out just a little more speed but hovermule was already in the red and it's engine was running hot but the mechanic/gunslinger didn't care as he pushed the speed to the limit. But there was only so fast that the vehicle could do without the engine blowing completely. He considered the distance they had to travel and the speed and spoke out loud to Ash seated beside him, "Fifteen minutes or so. This mule wasn't built for speed unfortunately."
"You don't have to stay to the road for me. If you can hold it together cutting down there", Ash pointed across the rocky terrain, "go for it. We gotta fight to finish".
"Honestly not staying to the road for you, I'm just not willing to risk our transpo to that terrain. Rather get there in fifteen, then not get there at all. If I had to bet on the rest surviving that long I'd bet on them" Wolf replied with a cocky grin to hide his nervousness. For the moment all he could do was what he was doing and hope they got to the mines with enough time to help Willow, Sam and Cap'n Wyatt......

Subject: Welcome to the Red dragon
Let me be another of the Inn’s Staff member’s to welcome you to our site. As you hopefully have already seen there’s a lot to do here for sure so take your time and get comfortable with our site. There are a wide variety of AD&D rules sets in use here, even at one time a game run on the very first rules edition.. Basic .. Along with a number of varying game systems from Fantasy to the Sci-fi to the occult to plain horror there is always something for someone including even Free Form games here at the Inn.
The Inn has been around quite some time and for a great majority of us is a second home so please treat the Inn, its Staff and all it’s members with respect and we will treat you the same.
So again welcome its always nice to have new people come to us and I hope you’ll feel quite at home here.
And though this is the greeting I post to all newcomers do not feel that I am not glad to see a new person come to our home, far from it. Its just easier and quicker this way as we do get a lot of newcomers at times. So then If you have any questions about the site feel free to PM myself or any other Staff member as needed.
Also here’s a towel, always keep it handy as Eol likes to lick newcomers and he sometimes forgets who he has licked and then licks them again .
