That is a great old one. I didn't stop to ask its name. I "borrowed" greatly from Hellboy and Lovecraft.

Rough idea of where you are. D is for Doc, R is Romo, L is Luke, M for McGuiness etc etc. T is tenacle.

The circles on the other side are the gatehouses.

Subject: It just became Weird War II

Brutal covers the length of the bridge to the other side and one by one the rest of the follow suit, Corbin holding back to be the last one to cross and the watching the bridge and gatehouses as the rear guard.

The ground crunches under your feet. You look down on the ground to see shells, rounds upon round of shell casings from the german machine guns. But no one is here, no real sign of a struggle beyond the bullet casings.

There are lights from within the courtyard. You can see through the wooden slots of the gate where there seems to be some sort of staging area with lots of heavy equipment and multiple generators. Huge pot lights are set up to illuminate the area but only two are on. It looks as though whoever was here cleared out in a hurry because there are tables and lamps knocked over and the generators hum away unattended. There is a strong ozone smell in the air, like after a lightning storm and a thin fog hangs low around the machinery.

McGuiness feels something move more than actually sees it. Something moves that causes shadows to shift and the sniper's battle honed senses are immediate weary of danger. Something on the Bridge? No. The bridge is clear. He steps forward to get a better look.

Suddenly out of the darkness and from under the bridge something shots outs toward the Private. Something grey and large - VERY LARGE. With a swiftness unexpected from such bulk, a grey tentacle reaches up around from beneath the far side of the bridge, and then another pops up from the other side. Each one at least 15 feet in length with ugly barbed suckers along one side like hideous sores - coming towards Corbin at speed. Greta sees it and calls out "Captain! We got company!" as she brings the rifle to her eye to take aim at the ... things.

OOC: Two 15 foot long tentacles have come out from under the bridge and are reaching to grab your Private ... McGuiness that is. Not what you signed up for boys, but war is hell.

Umm.. good questions. He may have not gone to the jail house as he didn't arrest anyone and spent a aweful amount of time entertaining the ladies.....

Simple three level building. Jail and admin on first, personal accomodations for sheriff on second and an open unfinished third floor. Ladder goes up to a a "lookout" elevated above roof, with reinforced shelter.

Yes to back door on ground floor.

Bank is 19. Lawrence's is 14.

Go with the three way split and Wolf going to the bank. Tann would never forgive me if I had him sit out the combat.

So Ash Jail, Andrew Lawrence's and Wolf Bank. You going in sneaky sneaky or walking plain with faith in your skills?

Wolf knows that Winnie Mustard liks long shots and from a distance. Based on that you could assume she'd want to be somewhere where she could get a full view of town and a clear shot. The highest rooftops in Town are the Bank, The temple (now gone) Lawrence's Saloon and the Jailhouse.

As to the brothers, you have no idea if they are in town or whetehr they are all in the mine waiting in ambush. That's what makes this fun.

You can backpost the talking to Doc about the Tong if you wish.

Topic: Destiny Flight - QnA
Subject: panic! why?

When Ken looks out the window, he will see the Federal Marshall symbols on the ASREV. That means a four man crew of Marshalls.

Destiny has a temp pass to be on Greenleaf due to medicial emergency. It has a 24 hr or "until emergency is over" expiry but usually that isn't enforced unless you are doing something you shouldn't. None of you are right now. The companion is still in hospital so technically you could say you are waiting for her, but it won't hold water long.

Marshalls could be here to refuel, pick up another marshall or part of usual patrol (Greenleaf is highly guarded). He also might be here to see if your emergency is over and to move you along or he could be looking for a bribe or he could be an evil slaver hell-bent on meeting a quota damned the costs.

Your ship would always cause some stir because it is ...well damn sexy. So you would be used to gawkers, even marshalls.

Subject: Norm and a friend? more friends?

"WHAT did you just call me?" Grace squeaked as her face went just as red as her hair."Look, Lao Buhn, I am not a babe. Nor do I like being called one. So, Lao Sheong, do yourself a favour and don't call me that. Dohn Luh Mah?" stated Grace who was glaring at Norman.

"Whoa! Sorry! It was a joke right? no offense intended right?" Norn recovered looking a bit perplexed. Luckily Tony arrived with the two bottles of wine and the moment was cooled by refreshment.

As the conversation continued, Ken watched around him. Wasn't difficult to spot trouble as they were the only people in the joint. That was until a single oriental man came into the bar, sat down at the bar and ordered a local beer. He sat there while you talked, eyed Tess appreciatively as she passed by him for the drink of water but otherwise seemed to mind his own business. Still, this wasn't a tourist zone and there were plenty of empty tables to enjoy a glass of beer. The man was broad shouldered, strong and had a number of tattoos hidden under a loose white shirt. A scar under his left eye was the remains of a knife cut if Ken was to guess, and if he was guessing he would think the other guy probably looked worse.

“Well Grace, Tess, is Osiris in 9 days possible?”

"As long as we don't have any problems, we can make it in about seven days. If we go at full burn, we can make it there even faster but we won't have any fuel left."

“I’d hate to go full burn,” Tess said. “It always makes me nervous running Yuan Fen empty. Of course, with the proper incentives we could have her go full tilt boogey, but Gracie’s right. She’ll make Osiris in about seven days, provided we don’t have any trouble along the way.”

“One moment, Mr. Sellers, I believe that we can come to a deal but there are a few things that I’d like to clear up.” Jason wore an easy smile as he drilled Sellers, “What about any taxes or tariffs on the wine? Who is responsible for those?” Jason asked hoping that the answer wouldn’t be them; it’d certainly eat into the profit on this trip. “How many tickets for the party would you provide? Finally, who do we send the wave to so we can make sure you’re being straight up?”

"Oh yeah. Good thing you asked. I would have forgot. Umm let's see that would be ...right ...right carry the ten ...right." Norm mumbled as he did math slowly in his head.

Captain Brown spoke up, ”Norm, you show me the credits, let me wave Osiris and make loading this cargo quick and you've got yourself a deal, tariffs be damned.”

"Huh!" Norm said clearly losing his train of thought. "What? Ah. Okay 3000 credits then. That will cover the tariffs, right? More than right? and any incidental right."

(assume some hand shaking and agreement)

"Great! This is just great! Right? right!" he says as he finishes his glass of wine. He looks around one more time and suddenly drops his voice, "Right. I'll have the casks brought over tonight after nightfall." He pulls a calling card out of his pocket and hands it to you. It give the name Baron Otello and a wave transponder number, plus coordinates for landing. "His assistant's name is Binkley. Decimus Binkley. he'll tell you all you need to know." and with that Norm backs away from the table, as if ready to bolt.

"Norm Sellers? Is that you?" the man at the bar says as if surprised.

"Norm stops and smiles a nervous smile, "Howard! What you doing here?"

"I was going to ask you the same thing Norm." Howard replies.

"Right! I'm ...right. Red-heads!" He says and points towards Grace, "Can't resist them right? But she brushes me off right? Never had the luck with the ladies like you do right?'

"Ahh yes. Are you going back to the vineyard?"

"Huh? Oh! Right! Yeah! back to the vinyard, got work to do right and wine to make right."

"My MX is outside, I'll give you a lift."

Norm nods, "Yeah right. Sure. If you are going that way."

Howard gets up and puts his arm around Norm, "No problem for a good friend and business partner." and the two head out the door to leave you with a bottle and a half of wine and a new cargo for which to make plans.

There is the sound overhead of a ship coming in, close enough that it must be landing nearby. Sure enough, out of the window of the cantina, you can see the landing gear and see the wind effects as a ship comes down.

"ASREV."(alliance short range enforcement vessel) Grace says, listening to the engine roar and power down, "I know those engines anywhere."

That could mean one of two things; an alliance patrol unit in the area or Federal Marshalls.

The mine is to the west of town past a gully. So Wyatt wouldn't have sent houses on the way.

What exactly do Ash, Wolf and Andrew plan to do here? Drive into town and see what happens? I need some sort of direction here.

I enjoyed this movie. The director and writers kept it simple without going to the cliche of the typical movie scripts. Visuals were excellent.

If you see it, wait until the end of the credits. There is a teaser clip at the end.
