Topic: Mutants & Masterminds 2nd Ed. Subject: Evil villian here
Aren't we all being a bit evil here? I mean, Skari-dono posts for recruitment for a superhero game and we all post with "That's cool. I'm not going to play but it is cool."
I feel guilty because I started it.

Superhero RPG. Ooooooo. Must resist the call of the tights....
I played a superhero RPG called Champions (I think) back in the early ...well a long time ago. I'm a sucker for Iron age leather and lingerie style. We were playing a sorta "Watchman/X-men" crossover style.
Anyway, I will look forward to lurking on this, but I don't think the tights will fit me anymore.

I hope all goes well for Noah. For all the scary sounding possiblilities they throw out, there are two common ones that are not mentioned. The fact that he is bright and moving should be positive. Hopefully it is just a matter of him being a picky eater.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Q&A Subject: Welcome to seventh level.
All you warrior types - you get a new weapon prof. or you can add to a single specialization and a new Non-weapon
All specialization melee attacks are now 2/1 instead of 3/2.
Wizards also get a new weapon prof and non weapon.
Kilgim now has 5/5/3/1 in cleric spells (Yeah for fourth level spells).
Adrian has 24 mana points and now has fourth level spells.
So get your requests in early. Christmas and combat are coming soon and either leads to a slaying song tonight.
Yes, I am very sleep deprived. Thank you for getting all wavy like and sparklish, with the lights and the glowing like.

Topic: Voyages of Rocinante - Serenity/Firefly RPG Subject: For those who wait
The Temple, Regina, Frisco – 7:10 am
“I am under your protection now, Lao Tsu.”
He accepts the pin with a smile that reads of knowledge and mirth at the same time. He gives Willow a bow in honour of her actions and then begins his search of her with swiftness. Across the arms and the back of her neck, his fingers breeze across her clothing and flesh, barely making contact – like a warm breeze across the skin. Down Willows back, his hands were stronger, but not rough. Like the hands of a well-trained masseuse, his touch triggered waves of relaxation and peace across her back.
Then he moves to Willow’s legs and his touch became a seductive caress, releasing waves of desire and passion from within the doctor. Her stroked her inner thighs down to her ankles with the lightest of touches and back up the outer legs across her hips and stomach to end just below her chest. Willow found herself breathing a little heavy as Lao Tsu stepped back and wishing that she could find a dignified reason to ask him to search her again.
“You may enter now.” He said with a bow and gesture to the door. “Grandfather awaits you.”
Through a set of oak doors carved in relief to look like an extension of the garden, Willow enters into an inner sanctum. The room is fragrance with lavender and floral scents, but the plants are all hanging from the ceiling. The room itself is sparsely furnished, with Mats for kneeling and a few long round cushions. The old man sits across from the doorways, about 20 feet away from Willow as she enters. In between Willow and the old man is a wooden chess set on a small stand. The workmanship of the board and pieces is nothing less than beautiful, yet the white king is missing from the board.
“Do you play, Miss Takahara?” the old man asked.
Ragtime General Store, Beylix, Newhouse – 12:00 am
Dason left the general store with a rusty Ruger 22 with a full clip. The lady inside was really pretty but she drove a tough deal when she knew that the person in question was in a hurry. But he didn’t care – he had a job to do and then he’d be back on easy street. He walked down the street, putting the pistol in his pocket so not to draw too much attention, and headed towards Emmett’s Bar.
Emmett’s Bar, Beylix, Newhouse – 12:05 am
Andrew looked at the pile of chips he had in front of him and then at his cards. He had won the first couple of hands with the workers but then the pots went back and forth for a while. Now, Darryl was in for 25 credits and Doug had raised 10. 35 credits to him with a whole lot of nothing unless he discarded one and took the chance on an inside straight. But if he didn’t get the 9, then …
Someone entered the bar behind him. Andrew glanced over his shoulder, but it wasn’t anyone who he knew or looked particularly important. He turned his attention to the cards again.

He knew the sound of a gun hammer being cocked back, and his instincts took over, Long ago, Andrew had learned that best to react fast, even if you were sure you were the target. His gun was in hand and leveled before the barmaid had started screaming.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: have we fizzled?
The report back from Char and Dapple was not filled with hope. Two creatures of some sort of demonic power, a mysterious master, silent priests, and a dead town that you were suppose to investigate. Furthermore, the destruction was so great as to leave very little cover for a stealthy attack. No matter how you would approach the scene of this misfortune, the beings could spot you from their vantage point.
There was no time for hesitation or doubt though. In the name of all that was good and those poor people, you had to take on these being. If there were survivors, they would be in dire need of aid.
OOC: Time for heroics people! Saddle up! Peasants to rescue, mysteries to investigate, demons to kill. Woohoo!

Topic: Assistance with my essay for Performance Arts Subject: interesting topic
You might want to look up a book called - The Fantasy Role-playing Game: A New Performing Art by Mackay et al. You also might want to look at Bruno Bettleheim (sp?) and Joseph Campbell books for reference.
What is your approach on this essay? What is your general thesis or premise that you are looking to explore?

Topic: Pharaoh Subject: Its worse than that, He's dead Jim, dead!
"May I have your name, sir? I would know the name of my enemy, on the chance we should meet again."
The Soldier rolls up the scroll and looks down at the sand. “I am but a messenger. The order is from the Sultan Zoltan the Wise, signed by the Visier on his behalf.” He looks up at up with a look that speaks of anguish and conflict. “Take your possessions and leave us now!” he says loudly. The soldiers keep their weapons on you as you gather your stuff.
The sun is beaming heat upon you and the sand dunes are immense. After a half hour, you find a very small oasis – a few palm trees for shade, some bushes and hardy growth, and what looks like a very old well. So old in fact that instead of being marked with signs of the current language it is actually marked by pictograms that you heard referred to as hieroglyphs.
The dead bandits were in the process of unloading or loading when then were killed. They were killed by arrows, shot from above them by the angle and look of the wounds.
A quick examination of their bodies reveals that they are dervishes, wearing leather armour under wrapped cloth. Each one has a falchion, a buckler and short bow. On their persons are a total of 17 silver coins, very old and marked with a man’s visage you have never seen. They also each have a small leather bag filled halfway with salt. On their horses, are quivers with 15 arrows, a bedroll with an individual tent, several water skins (full and wet), dried fruits, meats and rations for five days travel (ten if you eat lightly), and each one has a flask of bluish green liquid that glows under Artemis’ detect magic.
The mule is laden with several bundles of firewood and kindling, many heavy blankets rolled, several pots and pans, and two large bladders of water (still cool). The bladder is made of some cured animal hide that is tough but stretches well when wet. Near the mule lies a coil of rope tied to an open ended bladder lying on the desert sand.
As you are examining the bodies, a group of pegasi can be seen flying away from close to where you were “freed”. They fly away from you, upwards into the sky.
Huh? Wait a minute! Why would they use Pegasi to take you to the border? The flying mounts were only used for long distances.
You look around the oasis for a marker. Watering holes are considered immensely valuable and anyone who could claim them as their own would leave a marker. Tribes would go to war over Well locations. But other than the marks on the well, there are no markers here. There is only one place in the desert where people would not claim water and that would require flying mounts to reach. You have been dumped in the Desert of Desolation - a large track of land where an ancient civilization once thrived. Now a haunted land, filled with evil spirits and undead creatures, damned by the greed and malice of their rulers who defied the gods. You have no idea how deep into this forsaken land you have been placed, or even if the Oasis of the White Palm is in the direction the men flew off.
This day keeps getting better for you. The heat is reaching unbearable levels, especially for those in metal armour. travel by night, sleep during the day the messengers had said.
OOC: the palm trees are quite high here, in case someone wanted to climb one to get some bearings.

This is the only D&D site I hang out in..on...around. Now I do frequent some Serenity sites but I don't think we could interest them in links. As to other sites I frequent alot ... I think the links would break the PG rating.
Maybe if I wrote some Serenity gaming articles?
