Topic: Voyages of Rocinante - Serenity/Firefly RPG Subject: Don't be hating
Newhouse, Beylix, Jailhouse, 11:20am Day Three
Negotiations were going well between the sheriff to be and the town folk. They seem to be ironing out the whats and wherefores to both of their liking as Wyatt spoke to the sheriff.
“Mr. Bowman could be on that ship an’ it’d be you doin’ the public a service savin’ their tax money an’ all. Room, board, the cost o’ the trial, the expenses’ll just keep pilin’ up, an’ when the council returns from their business with you savin’ them all that money…well, can’t you jus’ see how appreciative they’ll be?”
“Well,” drawled the sheriff as he sat on the edge of his desk, “Thing is that prisoners aren’t really all that expensive to me. The jail is there, whether he’s there or not. Food is provided by a lady who is working off her own community service with nutritional if completely tasteless food. So you see, I’m not overly out of pocket. The council gives me a pretty free hand here to run things as I see fit so, not an issue.
“But, why don’t we cut to the chase here fellows. I’m sure you’d like to leave with your friend, and I’m not really opposed to seeing you or your friend leaving my town. So why don’t you post bail for Mr. Bowman, say 500 credits? I’ll send you a wave when the trial is scheduled and you can bring him back if it suits you.
Now I hope you weren’t thinking of anything heroic like, as you are armed men. It would so sour the deal these fine gentlemen here are doing, and by now, my deputy has put a land lock on your ship so, you ain’t going anywhere without my blessing.”
Newhouse, Beylix, Emmett’s Bar, 11:15am Day Three
The back booth has become the sleeping quarters of a man who has seen his share of bad days. He is a man of oriental descent, with a bald head and a straggly goatee. His face has the puffiness of someone who has been one with the drink for too long. His clothing are plain workman’s clothing that have been slept in (as well as other things) often. His black jacket, however beat up now, shows sign of once being well made and expensive.
Jimmy leans over the man, “Excuse me? Are you Benny Xiau?”
The man snorts loudly and rolls over in the booth, “Huh? What? I said 700! Give me cheese or I’ll ride the ponies for you mom.” He says sleepily, “and your little dog too.”
Jimmy looks over at Willow with a questioning expression and then leans over to tap Benny on the shoulder, “Mr. Xiau. I’m James Blake, and I want to talk to you about a chess piece. I have lots of cash if you’d like to sell.”
“Oh honey!” the barmaid calls over with a laugh, “If you got lots of cash then I’m the one selling my chest pieces. For the right amount, I’ll even let both of you play.”

I would agree with your assessment of Inuyasha. My daughter is a big fan and I have been kidding her for years about the same episodes over and over.
Looking forward to seeing yoru work. Hope your Wacom gets better soon.

I smite your smiteness.
Do not try and bend the Wacom. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth.
What truth?
There is no Wacom.
There is no Wacom?
Then you'll see, that it is not the Wacom that bends, it is only yourself.

Topic: Continuing Where We Last Left Off Subject: and we are back, with music!
As the you leave the fields of dreams and head toward the town, you cant help but feel like things are not as they seem. you started out on a mission to help the people of Hevlorn, sent here by Dwan to investigate missing people and a possible vampire resurrection of a arch-mage named Zephur. Along the way you had met refugees running from the town, all claiming that demons had attacked the town. You had run to intercept the danger only to end up battling two demons with wondrous power and a rather odd view of you as heroes.
After all that, and losing the battle, you awoke in a corn field. According to the farmer, there haven;t been any disappearances, but the priests that guard the castle have not been heard from in a long while. Furthermore by all signs, you have arrived before you left, as if your travels never happened. It is almost like somehow you have arrived before the events you experienced could happen.
Moving through Hevlorn, you see many different kinds of people, most greeting you kindly as you pass, but some more reserved. There are some who are probably ex-slaves from the empire, not a few who are from the sueli descent with pale skin and blond hair. Other are most likely soldiers - deserters from the imperial ranks. Considering the remote location, no doubt they find safety here away from possible imperial recovery.
The town hall is a large building, stone foundation built into sturdy wooden beams. The door is open and a few people are milling around but they move out of the way as you approach. through the doorway you can see five elder gentleman standing by the great fireplace with drinks in hand. Near them is another man, sitting in an easy chair close to the hearth, He wears a yellow tunic with a blue (somewhat garish) and boots of a russet colour. His reddish hair is held beneath his wide brimmed hat with a colourful feather attached. In one hand he holds a battered fiddle and he wears a scimitar by his side. At least one of you speaks the obvious - "bard".

Topic: Dear Ogre Subject: Putting the Friend In Fiend
Dear Rexx,
When it comes to investing for retirement, you can’t go wrong with Pit Fiends. Yes, I said Pit Fiends. Let’s face it, when it comes down to it, why go anywhere else? A Pit fiend will take your cash and invest it on the TSX – Tortured Soul eXchange. The TSX has a history of steady growth and diversification – trust me on that. As for avoiding taxes, Pit Fiends eat tax accountants for breakfast – literally. I mean it, my CPF and I just shared an accountant on rye. Now A Pit fiend can be considered expensive, but heck, what were you using your soul for anyway?
Signed
The Ogre

Dear Ogre,
Please settle a disagreement for us. Is a butter knife used to put your butter on your plate, or to spread the butter on your bread?
Signed,
Ettiquettely Challenged.
